Raw Results 09/19/11


Raw Results from Cleveland, OH:

Cole opened the shown's commentary mentioning new champions crowned and controversy reigning supreme. Lawler mentioned that Hugh Jackman will be special guest star on tonight's Raw SuperShow. CM Punk's "Cult of Personality" theme song started up to bring Punk out to the stage. Punk wore a bandage on his right arm and limped down the ramp, suffering after effects from last night.

Punk talked about how beat up he was from last night's match, and about how this arena hasn't been so kind to him. He said nothing hurts more than maybe his pride though. Punk said he admits that R-Truth and Miz were right, that there's a conspiracy in WWE. He said it's not the one they're talking about, but - Triple H's theme music started up to bring out the COO of WWE in a suit.

HHH talked about how he's in pain after last night too, because they went to war. He said nonetheless he's still COO of WWE. HHH said it's time to do his day job, mentioning that Alberto Del Rio deserves a rematch for the WWE Championship. HHH said Punk deserves it as well in the first-ever Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match.

Hunter said if Punk can't get it through his head that Triple H hasn't been involved in all of the stuff with Nash, Miz, Truth and conspiracies, then he's ready to go to war again. Punk told him to put his tie back on, because it's clear somebody is playing them both.

Punk was interrupted by John Laurinitis who came out to say Punk's in the middle of this conspiracy. Laurinitis tried to tell HHH that Punk is just upset he couldn't beat him. Punk said he thinks Laurinitis is behind sending Miz, Truth and Nash to the ring last night. Laurinitis reminded Punk he works for him, so HHH reminded them both they work for him. Laurinitis tried to fire Punk, but HHH said no he's not. HHH promised to get to the bottom of all this and by the end of the night, someone's getting fired.



Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus & Justin Gabriel vs. David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty, Wade Barrett & Christian

An 8-man tag match kicked off the show, with the commentators talking about how Christian still wants one more chance. The heels worked over Bourne early on, with Otunga punching Kofi off the apron and then targeting Bourne. Sheamus made a hot tag to start taking it to Otunga, including a big powerslam. Sheamus had a pin which was broken up by the heels. Chaos ensued in the ring with everyone going at it.

The ring was cleared, leaving Sheamus to go after Otunga. Christian got in the ring in the corner preparing to spear Sheamus. Sheamus turned and stopped him, then went after Christian who went to the outside. From there, Sheamus ducked Otunga's attack and returned with a Brogue kick. Sheamus followed with the Celtic Cross with Christian watching as he won the match.

Winners: Sheamus, Justin Gabriel & Air Boom win via pinfall over David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty, Wade Barrett & Christian.

Backstage, one of the refs named Chad, said he and the other referees are in fear of their safety. HHH said once Miz and Truth arrive to send them to see him. The referee took off and Alberto Del Rio rushed in all angry. He said HHH was the worst COO ever, because he made his match not only Hell in a Cell, but also a Triple Threat. Del Rio said he prays Mr. McMahon comes back to run this company the right way. Triple H told Del Rio to keep praying for what he'll have to face in Hell in a Cell.




Cole talked about Cena winning his 10th WWE Championship and told fans they could get all the news, video and more about Night of Champions at WWE.com.

John Morrison vs. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio drove out in a black Porsche Carrera looking upset as Ricardo Rodriguez handled his ring intro.

Del Rio started off with a quick beatdown on Morrison, including kicks to the body in the corner. Morrison escaped an early attempt at the armbar and landed a mule kick. Morrison injured his arm at some point in the early going, allowing Del Rio to target it. Del Rio was able to get the Crossbar Armbreaker on Morrison moments later, forcing JMo to tap out.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio wins due to submission of John Morrison.




Justin Roberts introduced tonight's special guest star from movies like "X-Men" and "Australia" as well as the October film release "Real Steel." Hugh Jackman arrived to the ring to rile the Cleveland crowd up. He said hosting the Oscars was cool but not as cool as 15,000 fans in Cleveland. Jacmkan talked up "Real Steel" which opens October 7th. He was interrupted by "Excuse me!" as Vickie Guerrero came out with a mic in hand, trailed by US champion Dolph Ziggler.

Vickie said she's his biggest fan and she agrees with People choosing him as World's sexiest. Vickie said she represents US Champion Dolph Ziggler. Jackman couldn't get in a word, as Ziggler started saying Jackman is interrupting his time. Ziggler talked about how he beat 3 guys last night at NOC, then brought up how Jackman's movie is about an underdog. Ziggler said underdog is another word for loser. Jackman said he loves underdogs, so he's going to go back to the locker room and find one to defeat Dolph. Ziggler said to send out whoever he finds.

The crowd started up a "We Want Ryder" chant. Jackman rushed over to the crowd to grab a sign that said "RYDER > WOLVERINE" and then held it up in the ring. He rushed backstage with the sign.

A black car pulled up in the packing garage. The Miz and R-Truth got out of the car, then started to walk. John Laurinitis rushed up to them saying Triple H wants to see them now. Miz apologized for what they did last night. Truth offered apologies too. Laurinits said "alright, let me know how it goes" and left.




WWE Rewind showed the face off between two Sin Cara's on Smackdown in the ring, with Cole asking who the real one is.

Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes

Cole questioned which Sin Cara this is with them tonight. Lawler said this looks like the original Sin Cara to him, with Cole asking "how do you know?" Lawler said he's just surmising. The IC champ Rhodes arrived out with two guys in suits handing out the paper bags.

Before the match, could get started, Sin Cara's theme music started up again and the other one came out from backstage to cause confusion. He pointed to the one in the ring and then did his running jump over the ropes with the pyro. Rhodes got out of the ring and the two Sin Cara's faced off in the ring. The two Sin Cara's each raised their arms to get the fans' opinion.

The two of them started to battle it out, showing off their moves against one another. Finally one of them dropkicked the other out of the ring, then did a moonsault flip into the ring to get down in a praying position. He pointed out at the other one as he backed up the ramp.

Winner: No contest as match never happened.

Triple H was getting coffee backstage, when The Miz and R-Truth came in. Miz said even though they believe that maybe the ref was involved in a conspiracy but they shouldn't have put their hands on one last night. Truth spoke up saying he's sorry to him and the WWE Universe. Truth said they love being WWE superstars and shouldn't have done what they did last night.

Triple H said he accepts. He added he's fining them each $250,000 for putting their hands on a WWE official. He said to have the check on his desk by Monday morning. HHH said since they love being WWE superstars so much they'll have no problem competing tonight - against CM Punk and John Cena.




Jim Ross interviewed the new World Champ, Mark Henry in the ring. JR congratulated him on his victory, and brought up all the naysayers who said he couldn't win the big one. Henry said he'll deal with them all in a minute. Henry said on behalf of all the people, JR's going to apologize for them and then he's going to apologize to him.

Henry said Jim Ross wanted Vince McMahon to fire him a while back for being injury-prone and an over-achiever. Ross got on the mic and said "Mark I apologize." Then put the mic back to him. Henry said he hates ass kissers. He grabbed Ross by the tie and started to choke him. Jerry Lawler rushed in to JR's aid, pleading with Henry to let him go.

Henry finally shoved Ross away and Lawler went to check on his friend. Henry grabbed Lawler and told him he'd take JR's place then. Lawler tried to strike Henry to get away, but Henry headbutted him down. Mark followed by picking up Lawler and hitting World's Strongest Slam on him. Henry tossed Lawler out of the ring, then ripped apart the commentators table with Cole backing away. Henry stood Lawler up and tossed him over the table, then grabbed him for a World's Strongest Slam through the announce table. Henry left with the World title while officials checked on Lawler's condition.




Cole and Matthews were on commentary standing up. Moments before, officials had helped Jerry Lawler to his feet and backstage.

Eve Torres & Kelly Kelly vs. Natalya & Beth Phoenix

Cole said Beth called Kelly's win last night a "complete joke" on Twitter and said it's now time to get angry. Beth immediately went for the attack on Kelly to start the match off. Kelly managed to regain control and tagged in Eve after a spinning headscissors move. Beth retaliated and kicked Eve down hard, then tagged in Natalya to help doubleteam.

Eve managed to fight out of the corner, by putting her legs up to kick Natalya off, then punching Beth on the apron. Natalya rushed at her in the corner, with Eve ducking and then rolling up Natalya for a quick pinfall.

Winners: Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres win by pinfall over Natalya & Beth Phoenix.

Backstage, Hugh Jackman was in the locker room talking with Zack Ryder. Jackman said he's not an underdog, he's delusional and pathetic. Jackman said he's perfect, let's do it. He shot the camera a weird look then walked out with Ryder.




Raw came back with an exclusive clip from Hugh Jackman's new movie "Real Steel." Vickie Guerrero was in the ring with Dolph Ziggler for the next match.

Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler

Hugh Jackman accompanied Ryder to the ring wearing a Ryder headband. Ryder got his boot up in Ziggler's face on a charge in the corner. Ziggler and Ryder double clotheslined each other down. Ryder crawled over to the ropes and got slapped in the face by Vickie. The ref threw her out of there. Vickie took her time in leaving. With Ziggler propped against the ropes, Jackman got on the apron, ran over and clocked Ziggler in the face. Ziggler was stunned, allowing Ryder to connect on the Rough Ryder for the win.

Jackman celebrated with Ryder in the ring, doing the Woo Woo Woo call out.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler.




Vickie was shown watching a monitor backstage showing Jack Swagger video highlights. Swagger came up to Vickie and talked to her about getting a managerial contract. Vickie said she'd be proud to represent him along with Dolph in her stable. Vickie put out her hand to shake, and Swagger kissed her hand. He walked off smiling, smirking at Dolph Ziggler who was standing there. Ziggler shot him a look.

CM Punk was in the locker room backstage. John Cena came into the locker room saying they're more alike than he thought, due to all of their classic matches over time. Cena talked about what might happen later saying he hopes Punk isn't fired before they compete at Hell in a Cell in two weeks or so. Punk said it'd be a shame if he was the first WWE champion to be fired.




CM Punk & John Cena vs. The Miz & R-Truth

The Miz and Truth came out doing Truth's remix rap telling Cleveland (Miz's hometown) "You Suck!" Raw went to commercial ahead of the main event match. The Miz offered referee Charles Robinson a handshake to apologize for last night's actions against the PPV ref. Early on in the match, Cena and Punk did a doubleteam move where each did a yank on the other leg of R-Truth wishbone style.

After getting beat up for some time Cena finally managed to get the hot tag to Punk. Punk came in to take it to Miz and Truth. At one point, after a springboard clothesline on Miz. Punk got up near Truth who was on the middle of the apron, with Miz trying to attack from behind. Punk avoided it and Miz almost clocked Truth. Miz held up and said he wouldn't do that, but then Punk came back to hit Miz into Truth. Truth crashed off the apron to the floor, and Punk picked up Miz to hit GTS for the win.

Post-match, Cena got back in the ring and gave a look to Punk then raised his arm up with Punk's. Just as Punk was about to pose in the corner, HHH's music hit and the COO arrived out.

Winners: John Cena & CM Punk win via pinfall over The Miz & R-Truth.

The COO Triple H arrived out onto the stage with a mic in hand. HHH apologized for interrupting the match. Triple H said "Punk good match, Truth and Miz, you're fired." HHH headed backstage with Miz and Truth looking shocked. They looked at each other then rushed backstage.

Backstage, two big TV monitors were shown with various Raw and Smackdown personnel watching, shaking their heads in disbelief. Triple H came marching backstage towards everyone. Suddenly, a bunch of random yelling was heard as Truth and Miz attacked HHH from behind, knocking him to the floor. They started trying to beat on HHH, with multiple wrestlers pulling them away. HHH tried to fight back with wrestlers restraining him as well.

Triple H screamed for nearby wrestlers to "Get them out of here!" instructing them to toss Miz and Truth outside. Multiple wrestlers including Brodus Clay shoved Miz and Truth out the door to the outside and slammed the door shut. The last shot seen was an upset HHH marching backstage shooting a look at a nearby John Laurinitis and then pushing a nearby cart out of anger as the Raw logo appeared and the show ended.
