WWE NXT Results 05/02/12

WWE NXT Results from Toledo, OH:

Matt Striker and William Regal started things off in the ring, with Striker welcoming Josh Matthews back to commentary, and Regal back from talent scouting.  Regal said there will be new talent debuting in the coming weeks.

Johnny Curtis and Maxine came out to intterupt, as well as JTG.  Regal said they caused a lot of trouble for Hornswoggle last week.  An open tag team challenge was issued, with Tyson Kidd arriving out to accept, and saying that Alex Riley would be his partner.  Also shown in the crowd were recently-fired Reks and Hawkins with tickets in hand.

Tyson Kidd and Alex Riley defeated Johnny Curtis and JTG by submission.  The close saw JTG tap out to Kidd's new submission finisher.

They had a backstage segment involving Michael McGillicutty and Percy Watson.  McGill made fun of Watson, and then Percy told him they have a 1-on-1 match tonight that Regal set up.  McGill warned Percy not to cross him, and said he wasn't the one who attacked him last week.

They showed the Raw Rebound with the Lesnar and Triple H in-ring confrontation this past Monday.

They showed Reks and Hawkins on camera holding signs that said "Regal Sucks" and "Change 4 NXT."  Regal had security escort them out saying they need to go to the unemployment line since they're both fired.

Bateman and Kaitlyn were backstage with Derrick saying how excited he is to finally have a match on Smackdown.  They found Alex Riley backstage, attacked by someone.  He claimed it was Michael McGillicutty that did it, so they said they'd take him to a hospital.

Michael McGillicutty defeated Percy Watson.  Matt Striker came out from backstage to the announcers table to tell William Regal something.  Regal got on the mic asking if the tassel in Percy's hand earlier belongs to him.  He said security found it near Alex Riley so they want to have a word with him.  That concluded the episode of NXT.

WWE NXT Results 04/18/12

NXT Results from London, England:

NXT opened with a video package recap of what's been happening with the storylines on the show, narrated by Derrick Bateman.  The storylines involved Maxine and Curtis trying to kidnap Striker, but Striker being kidnapped by Hawkins and Reks instead.  The heel duo told Maxine to get Regal on her good side and off their back, then they'd release Striker.  However, Bateman and Kaitlyn found Striker before that could all happen and saved him, leading Reks and Hawkins to no longer have him in their possession.

Josh Matthews welcomed fans to the show, right before Percy Watson arrived out for the opening bout.  Regal was also on commentary with Matthews.

Percy Watson defeated Johnny Curtis by pinfall.  Curtis was accompanied to the ring by Maxine who went over to take a seat next to Regal for guest commentary.  Maxine blamed Johnny Curtis for the whole Striker kidnapping incident.  Matthews continued to grill Maxine about the whole kidnapping as a match was going on in the ring.

In the match finish, Percy got going hitting several of his big moves including the Showtime Splash for a near fall.  Curtis kicked out of a pinfall.  Watson went for the Percycution but Curtis escaped.  However, Percy shoved him into the corner and grabbed him as he came back to hit Percycution for the win.

Post-match, Regal got on the mic to congratulate Percy, and told Curtis to come back down and provide guest commentary as Maxine wrestled next.

Maxine defeated Kaitlyn by submission.  Johnny Curtis and Derrick Bateman both joined the commentators for the match.  Matthews started bringing up how Curtis and Bateman both dated Maxine, but Bateman commented on the match to interrupt.  Maxine slapped on a Dragon Sleeper with body scissors, drawing praise from Regal.  Maxine eventually fell to her knees and had to tap out against Maxine's arm.

Post-match, Regal shook Curtis' hand and kept him there.  He called Maxine over to address the Striker kidnapping incident.  Regal said from now on if they wish to stay on NXT, Maxine will need to become manager of Johnny Curtis.  Regal pulled out a contract and asked them to both sign on the deal.  Regal said they didn't have to sign it, but they don't have to work there either.  After both of them signed it, Regal pulled out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed Maxine to Curtis.  Regal said he doesn't know what happened to the key.  Maxine and Curtis were irate over it.

They covered highlights of the Jericho and Punk feud involving alcoholism and Jericho's constant taunting of Punk.  This all has resulted in the two having a match set for Extreme Rules 2012 Pay-Per-View.  The PPV will be at Chicago and the match will be a Chicago Street Fight.

Reks was backstage arguing with Hawkins saying there's film showing that they kidnapped Striker.  Just then, Maxine and Curtis came out yelling as they were cuffed together.  They started yelling at Hawkins and Reks.  Percy Watson, Bateman and Kaitlyn each came walking by and made their own attempts at jokes, then left.  Maxine and Curtis left, so Reks and Hawkins said "we're done."

Reks and Hawkins came to the ring after a break, dressed in Hart foundation gear.  They addressed the Striker kidnapping saying the footage of them taking him was doctored by Regal and others.

Just then, Matt Striker appeared from backstage carrying Curt's walking stick.  STriker started saying he's learned to never back down in his time with WWE.  Striker said WWE has fed him, clothed him and allowed him to take care of his family.  Striker said a month ago, someone took that away from him.  Striker said he was blindfolded and hit, almost like he was hit by a walking stick, which Curt left behind.

Hawkins taunted Striker, so he started swinging the stick at them.  Regal intervened saying he's had enough of Reks and Hawkins.  Regal said it's time to put an end to this thing, so it will be Curt Hawkins vs. Tyler Reks with the loser getting fired.  Regal said they need a referee, and Striker pulled off his jacket to show he already had the ref shirt on.

Tyler Reks defeated Curt Hawkins by pinfall in a "Loser is Fired" Match. The two friends pulled no punches as they went at each other.  Hawkins took a swing at Reks before the bell, right before NXT went to a quick commercial break to promote WM29.  At one point during the match, Reks jumped over the top rope and took out Hawkins on the floor.  Reks hit a huge series of clotheslines late, and then a face front slam to the mat for a near fall.

Reks charged at Hawkins in the corner but ate a boot, allowing Hawkins a near fall chance.  The close saw Reks kick Hawkins in the gut, and get him on one shoulder.  Hawkins escaped and went for a move of his own with Reks escaping that and rolling up Hawkins for the pinfall.

Post-match, Reks left the ring and walked over to point at Regal.  Hawkins started to shove Striker in the ring, so Striker punched him down and yelled "You're Fired!" then lead the crowd in the "Goodbye" song.

Regal got on the mic saying Curt Hawkins is now fired so he needs to leave.  He shook Reks' hand and said he changed his mind, because Reks is now fired as well.  Reks started pounding on the steel steps and other objects yelling at the refs who came to bring him backstage.  Regal put his arm on Striker and Reks and Hawkins contemplated their job loss.  NXT ended with Striker and Regal all smiles.

Bateman walks off saying he likes this show, then bumps into Kaitlyn.  He tells Kaitlyn he's a lover and a fighter and wants to go to Smackdown to win the IC title and hold it for 100 years.  He says he wants to have what he and Kaitlyn have, relaxed, chill, good times and high-fives.  They high five and Bateman leaves the scene.  Johnny Curtis comes up and teases Kaitlyn with the "sitting in a tree" song.  Kaitlyn punches him in the stomach and leaves.

Backstage, Matt Striker was in his office playing the guitar.  Kaitlyn walks in and tells him he's doing a great job with the show, then asks for a match versus Maxine.  Maxine walks in saying Kaitlyn's prettier when her mouth's shut.  She asks Striker to get off the NXT show.  Kaitlyn and Maxine start to argue and Striker says they can settle things next week.  Maxine tells him Reks and Hawkins were right, this show's a joke.  Maxine leaves, with Kaitlyn telling Striker he's not a joke.  She high-fives him and leaves with Striker seeming to want her to stay there a bit.

Michael McGillicutty comes up to Tyson Kidd in the locker room, saying he drove through a blizzard to get there and isn't booked on the show.  Kidd tells him to calm down, but McGill says he never liked Kidd when they were younger or now.  He says Kidd wants to be like him, Dibiase and the Uso's, because WWE is in their blood.  Kidd challenges McGill to a match next week and he acepts.

Titus O'Neil defeated Alex Riley by pinfall.  During the match, Percy Watson came to ringside to watch, in support of Riley.  Towards the end, Riley had control and was punching O'Neil up on the corner multiple times.  O'Neil managed to Powerbomb Riley down from there and then used the middle rope for leverage to secure the pin.  Post-match, Young and O'Neil celebrated outside the ring.

Matt Striker appeared on the Titantron to close the show saying next week is the 1 year anniversary of NXT Redemption.  He says he'll have a major announcement for the NXT locker room and it's no joke.

WWE NXT Results 01/18/12

WWE NXT Season 5 results from Las Vegas, NV:

The show opened with a video package of the whole Derrick Bateman and Maxine saga involving their relationship.  It ended up with Maxine saying she and Johnny will get married in Vegas, but Bateman discovering that Curtis hacked his cell phone email.

Matthews welcomed fans to the historic milestone 100th episode of NXT.  Tonight will be the wedding ceremony of Johnny Curtis and Maxine.  Lillian Garcia welcomed back "the original voice of NXT" Michael Cole to work commentary with Matthews.  Cole complained that he had to be there, with Matthews claiming he lost a bet last night requiring him to be there.

Titus O'Neil defeated Darren Young by pinfall in a No DQ match.  Late in the match, Young hit his Gut Check finisher, but Titus kicked out of the pinfall.  Young went for it again, but this time Titus fought out of it and hit the "Clash of the Titus" for the win.

Post-match, Titus thanked the fans "for absolutely nothing" and got them booing.  He said he's the star of the show, and competing in these silly NXT challenges has meant nothing.  Titus tells them to get their popcorn ready because he's about to make it a win.

Percy Watson defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  Towads the end, Slater delivered a huge boot kick to Percy's face.  However, Percy regains composure and hits his finisher, the Percycution to get the pinfall win.

Backstage, Maxine is freaking out about the wedding, with Curtis trying to comfort her.  Maxine leaves, as Kaitlyn is walking by.  Curtis suggests they can get weird if Kaitlyn has some spare time, since he never had his bachelor party.  Kaitlyn whispers no way to him.

Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins defeated Yoshi Tatsu & Trent Baretta by pinfall.  Late in the match, Barreta hit a corner splash on Tyler Reks.  He had a near fall, then ended up taking out Reks from the apron.  Barreta hit a Corkscrew Moonsault for a two count, but Hawkins comes in to break it up.  The ref went over and held Yoshi back from getting into the ring, allowing Hawkins to hit Barreta with his cane.  From there, Reks hits the Burning Hammer finisher for the win.

In the main event segment, the ring had white decorations on the ring corners.  Cole made fun of it saying it looked like toilet paper hanging on trees for Halloween.  Matt Striker came out dressed as Elvis the guy presiding over the ceremony.  He introduced the groom, Johnny Curtis, who brought some random guy to the ring as his best man.  Next out was Maxine in a white short dress covered by some fishnet.  Cole called this "like the white trash wedding."

Maxine asked who the guy was with Curtis was and Curtis tried to remember his name.  Maxine was irked but Striker started the ceremony up.  He asked if anyone objected to the marriage, and Bateman came out.  He told Maxine that Curtis sabotaged things and sent a fake email to her from his iPad.  Maxine slapped Curtis after Bateman had security camera footage shown.

The ceremony ended with Maxine and Bateman beating up Curtis.  Bateman hit some sort of Bulldog/DDT move to leave Curtis layed out on the mat.  Bateman said he always wanted Maxine on top and got ready to leave the ring.  Maxine stopped him, slapped him in the face then started kissing him as the wedding music played.  Cole complained that he just wasted an hour of his life for all of this.

Late in the match, JTG worked a headlock on Riley, but A-Ry fought to his feet and escaped it. JTG managed to elbow A-Ry out through the ropes, but as JTG poked his head out, A-Ry kicked him in the head. Punk's opponents were Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler, and then Mark Henry. Punk defeated Swagger in the first match, but lost the second to Ziggler.  Interference from Swagger and a distraction from Laurinaitis helped Ziggler to win. Ziggler gets a WWE title match against Punk next week on Raw.

Air Boom vs. Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks

Stanford said he spoke to Air Boom earlier about the new crop of tag teams going at them and they said "bring on all comers." During the match, Reks and Hawkins worked on Bourne to wear him down, keeping him from tagging Kofi in.

The final moments of the match saw Hawkins miss on a flying chop at Bourne in the corner. Bourne crawled over and finally made the hot tag to Kofi, just as Reks tagged in. Air Boom vs. Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks

Kofi managed to get an early advantage against Reks after some high-flying action. Reks fought back and powerslammed Kofi then dropped a knee on him. He continued the methodical beat down from there. However, moments later Kofi had the comeback and managed a tag to Bourne who came in with quick kicks on Reks.

Air Boom hit a doubleteam Bulldog, and then Kofi revved up for Trouble in Paradise. Reks escaped the ring, and Hawkins tried to attack Kofi. Kofi sent him out of the ring, and then Air Boom jumped off the corners to take out Hawkins and Reks before a break.

Back from break, Bourne was about to attempt a move from the top rope, but Hawkins came over on the apron to distract. Bourne jumped down to take out Hawkins, but that allowed Reks to beat up Bourne back in the ring. Hawkins tagged in with the heels in control of Bourne.
