Vengeance 2011 PPV Matches
Vengeance 2011 Pay-Per-View arrives quickly after the previous Hell in a Cell event. The latest PPV goes live on Sunday, October 23rd starting at 8PM EST, with several big matches on the card.
John Cena and Alberto Del Rio will go one-on-one for the WWE Championship. This time around it'll be a Last Man Standing Match. First man unable to answer the ref's 10 count loses this one. Cena will still have to worry about Del Rio's personal ring announcer on the outside of the ring.
Mark Henry makes his second straight PPV title defense. He'll be defending the World Heavyweight Championship against the guy he thought he sidelined, the Big Show. Show looks to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship for another reign in this ongoing feud.
At least two more championship matches will go down at Vengeance. In one, Eve Torres attempts to defeat Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. In the other, the team of Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne (Air Boom) will defend the WWE Tag Team titles against the team of Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie Guerrero is sure to be ringside as well.
Another match will continue the feud that has developed between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes on Smackdown. Fans will recall that Orton bloodied up Rhodes weeks ago on the Friday night program. Rhodes has been attempting to get his revenge for weeks now, and taunted Orton last week by putting a paper bag on his head. Orton will look to unleash his inner "Viper" on former ally Rhodes this Sunday.
