Smackdown Results 04/04/14
SmackDown results from Washington, DC:
Hulk Hogan made an appearance on the show ahead of WrestleMania 30 this weekend. The majority of the episode focused on coverage from New Orleans of WrestleMania Axxess, and various video packages to set up the matchups for WM30 this weekend.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Titus O’Neil. Dolph hit a running cross body at one point then punched Titus in the corner ten times. Moments later he botched a Fameasser which didn’t really connect with Titus. Later, Titus got a big boot kick on Ziggler for a near fall. Titus followed with a backbreaker, but just moments later Dolph hit the Zig Zag for the win.
Jerry Lawler and Renee Young talked about WWE Slam City and a Legends of WrestleMania show for WWE Network after Smackdown. They showed parts of Stephanie McMahon’s interview done by Michael Cole where Steph talked about “Occupy Raw” and wanting to end Bryan’s “Yes” Movement.
The Real Americans defeated Los Matadores. During the match at one point, Colter got in Cesaro’s face and slapped him to get him fired up. Cesaro was going to strike back, but Swagger stood in front of him to prevent an altercation. Cesaro hit multiple European uppercuts and then a dead lift gut wrench suplex. Later in the match, Fernando hit a somersault denton bomb off the top rope on Cesaro for a near fall. Swagger tried to help Cesaro but got dumped out of the ring. Fernando went for a top rope drop kick, but Cesaro caught him and then did the Cesaro Swing, followed by a Neutrailzer for the win.
