WWE Diva Ashley Returns to Raw!
Last night on Raw Roulette, fans got to see the much anticipated return of WWE Diva Ashley Massaro back to the ring, after her departure for the CBS reality show, Survivor. Ashley made her surprise entrance right before the Diva Lingerie pillow fight was about to go down. And Ashley took the victory as well, with help from fellow divas, Maria Kanellis and Mickie James. It's good to see Ashley back, and now she will add to the group of Raw divas it seems. The Let's Wrestle blog has speculated that Ashley and Maria will have a diva match at Wrestlemania. This makes sense with Ashley as last year's Playboy cover, and Maria scheduled to be this year's Playboy cover.
Overall, fans may have been disappointed in the the Roulette themed show. Not only was it not randomly done, as many of the wheel spins were reported, it also lacked in quality of matches. For example, Hornswoggle and Mick Foley in a gag match against The Highlanders. Other examples would be the Holly vs Carlito match where they dressed as each other, and the "strange bedfellows" match where Kennedy and Michaels teamed up against Haas and Murdoch. The highlights of Raw in my opinion were the Triple H vs. Regal 1st Blood match, and Hardy vs Umaga in the steel cage. These two matches had the feel of Pay Per View type events, making those more fun to watch. Hardy provided his usual excitement with all sorts of high risk and aerial assault moves. Triple H displayed his pure intensity in extracting revenge on Regal.
We also now have at least 7 participants for the Royal Rumble: Hornswoggle, Mick Foley, The Miz, John Morrison, Snitsky, Umaga and Hardcore Holly. Unless WWE decides to give the illegitmate son of Vince a title shot at Wrestlemania, I think we can cross all these names off the list of potential winners. As of now without seeing the entrants, I'll say it comes down to Batista, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker as the possible winners of the match. A Batista versus Taker showdown at the end makes a ton of sense, and they may even end up with a tie. Both men have been screwed out of the Heavyweight title now by Edge, so don't be surprised to see either or both win.
