Smackdown Preview 06.06.08
Tonight's Smackdown will see the arrival of a new World Heavyweight champion, the Rated-R Superstar, Edge. Edge was victorious in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match at One Night Stand over the Undertaker. The prize for the One Night Stand match was the World Heavyweight Title. Unfortunately the other stipulation on this match was that the Undertaker is banished from the WWE, forever. How will Smackdown go down without the Deadman? What will Vickie Guerrero have to say when she kicks off tonight's episode of Smackdown. Will Smackdown & La Familia have a grand celebration for the new World Heavyweight Champion?
Another Smackdown superstar who was victorious at One Night Stand was Batista. The Animal took on Shawn Michaels, the Showstopper, in a Stretcher match. HBK was sent out on a stretcher giving Batista the hard fought win. Batista backed up his word that he would injur Michaels for lying about a leg injury weeks ago. Now will Batista turn his attention to the ultimate prize, the World Heavyweight title?
Tonight's show will also see Cousin Sal from the Jimmy Kimmel Late Night Show as he enters the squared circle. Sal will be facing angered WWE superstar, Santino Marella who in consecutive weeks was left with cake on his face. Roddy Piper just might be in Sal's corner, as is much of Tinseltown. All eyes will be on Sal in his first match ever as he faces former Intercontinental champ Santino Marella on Smackdown!
