Cena Returning, Knox Moving to Raw

According to the latest promo video pieces on Monday Night Raw, John Cena's headed back from his neck surgery and rehab within a month's time. Cena will be back just in time for the 2008 Survivor Series, but there's no official word on how he'll be involved in the PPV. Will he be wrestling, or will he be a guest at the PPV? You'd have to believe Cena will have unfinished business with Batista once he gets back. Batista didn't purposely hurt Cena, but most fans knew one battle between the two superstars wouldn't be enough. Cena will be in line for the World Heavyweight title and most likely resume his feud with the Animal. Expect an announcement soon from Raw GM Mike Adamle regarding the title match at Survivor Series.

Another promo piece recently show on Raw was for ECW superstar Mike Knox. Knox seems to be defecting to Raw after being a maninstay on ECW for some time now. Most recently, Knox was involved in a feud with Finlay, but now all of a sudden he's moving to Raw. These sorts of unexplained moves make the annual WWE Drafts seem even less important, and fail to create true buzz for a superstar. How about a storyline where Knox is disgruntled with his competition or lack of a title shot on ECW? Or a trade where some unused star on Raw is sent to ECW? For example, Snitsky and Knox seem interchangeable. No reason Snitsky can't take Knox' role on the ECW roster. Knox seemed capable of being a heel involved in the ECW title chase, besides Mark Henry, yet he wasn't used in that capacity so much. So maybe Knox becomes a Snitsky clone on Raw, or possibly he gets a boost and provides a new foe for Batista while he awaits his next battle against John Cena.

If you go to the HSBC Arena website and look at Upcoming events, you'll see that the "Main Event" for Armageddon is going to be a Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Title between John Cena, Batista and Chris Jericho. The other major match for that night is going to be for the WWE Championship between Triple H and Vladimir Koslov, stating that the two have "never met" in the ring. By the way, that's been posted on their site since before Cyber Sunday, so you have to wonder just how much the voting is paid attention to...
