Raw Preview 11/01/10
It's down to the final 2 months of 2010 for WWE...On Monday Night Raw tonight, expect fallout resulting from last week's main event result. In that match, John Cena and Randy Orton had a grueling encounter, with high stakes on the line. The winner of the match would get to choose a special referee for Orton vs Barrett at Survivor Series in the WWE Title match! However, in Cena's case his choice was already determined. Wade Barrett was ringside and ended up disqualifying Orton to give Cena the victory. With that, Barrett made a huge announcement: Cena would be special guest referee, and if Barrett won the WWE Title, Cena would be relieved of his obligation to Nexus. However, it Barrett loses, Cena will get fired on the spot! What will be next in the ongoing saga of John Cena and The Nexus?
Last week also saw new tag team champs crowned, twice. At Bragging Rights, a reluctant Cena partnered with David Otunga of The Nexus to win the WWE Tag titles off Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. The next night on Raw, Wade Barrett decided to schedule his own tag team title match, with his own Nexus members Slater and Gabriel challenging! However, Barrett ordered David Otunga to just lay down in the ring and let Slater pin him for the victory. This didn't seem to sit well with Cena or David Otunga. Will this drive a divide between Otunga and Nexus? Who will be the next to challenge for Gabriel and Slater's titles?
Last week also saw The Miz and his protege Alex Riley embarrassed by Eve Torres and R-Truth. However, the last laugh went to Miz as he won the match by pinfall. Miz also announced that he was the last member of Raw at Bragging Rights on the Team Raw to get eliminated. The Miz continues to brag about his greatness and holds the Money in the Bank briefcase. When will Miz decide to cash in? Will he continue his feud with R-Truth tonight?
