Smackdown Results 02/22/12

Smackdown Results from Rockford, IL:

World Champion Daniel Bryan came to the ring with girlfriend AJ to talk about his win at Elimination Chamber.  He talked about Sheamus ruining his victory, but said he'll have the last laugh when he wins at WM28.  The Miz came out to interrupt, but said he wasn't there to steal the spotlight.  Instead, he congratulated his former protege for making it to where he is now.  Miz suggested they form a tag team after Wrestlemania.  Sheamus came out to interrupt that idea.  Bryan attaked Sheamus but then ran away.

Sheamus defeated The Miz by pinfall.  Sheamus won by countering Skullcrushing Finale and hitting his new finishing move.

Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston and R-Truth by pinfall.

Great Khali defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall after hitting the Punjabi Plunge.

Big Show defeated Mark Henry after landing his knockout punch.  Cody Rhodes came out during the match to interrupt Show's first near win, and showed footage from Wrestlemania 21 when Show lost to Akebono in a Sumo Match.  Show got hit by World's Strongest Slam, but still managed to get his KO punch after kicking out of the pinfall.  He went after Cody after that.

David Otunga defeated Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Late in the match, Otunga countered Jackson's Torture Rack and hit his own finisher for the win.

CM Punk defeated Daniel Bryan in the main event.  At one point, Bryan tried to leave the ring, but Sheamus threw him back in.  Punk connected on a kick to take down Bryan for a pinfall win.

However, John Laurinaitis came out to order the match to continue due to the interference.  Daniel Bryan managed to get a rollup pinfall later, holding the middle rope to secure it.  Laurinaitis clapped as if the match was done there, but Smackdown GM Teddy Long came out and had the match restarted.

In the grand finale, Punk connected on a kick to Bryan's head but Bryan got his foot on the ropes before the three count.  Bryan hit a suplex off the top rope on Punk, but both men's shoulder's hit the mat and were down as the ref counted them out.

To end the show, Laurinaitis and Long argued over which wrestler won, with no winner announced.
