Raw Results from Austin, TX:
HHH, Stephanie, Kane, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton were in the ring to start things off. HHH and Steph hyped up Summerslam on the WWE Network several times. HHH said tonight there will be two Beat the Clock matches, one for Rollins and one for Ambrose, with the winner getting to pick the match stipulation at Summerslam. Orton got on the mic to talk up how he will continue to beat down Roman Reigns. That brought Reigns out through the crowd on the mic saying he’d beat Orton’s ass for free tonight. HHH said he’ll have Orton at Summerslam, but tonight he’ll face Kane in a Last Man Standing Match.
Roman Reigns defeated Kane in a Last Man Standing Match. The finish saw Reigns hit a Superman Punch and try for a Spear, but caught grabbed him by the throat. Reigns managed to find his way out and then speared Kane. Kane tried to get up by the ropes before ten but couldn’t, giving Reigns the win.
They had a video of sit down interviews UFC-style with Brock Lesnar and also John Cena, with each discussing their approach to their Summerslam title match.
Mark Henry defeated Damien Sandow via pinfall. Sandow came out in Oklahoma Sooners gear to insult the Texas fans. In the match, Henry won in under a minute after hitting World’s Strongest Slam.
Dean Ambrose defeated Alberto Del Rio via pinfall in a Beat the Clock Challenge match. A bloodied-up Ambrose won the match in 15:42 after hitting his finisher on Del Rio.
They had Lana and Rusev in the ring talking about Putin again. She takes about it being Obama’s birthday and started to sing Happy Birthday in Russian until Jack Swagger’s music hit to interrupt. Zeb Colter and Swagger got in the ring, with Zeb delivered a rebuttal promo, telling Lana to shut up about Putin, Mother Russia and Rusev Crush. He had pictures shown of various people from America shown on the big screen including soldiers, a construction worker and a nurse. He said that’s who Swagger is fighting for. Rusev eventually jabbed his flagpole at Swagger to knock him outside the ring. Rusev and Lana then backed Colter into a corner with Lana mocking the We the People line.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Cesaro via pinfall. The Miz was on commentary with Cole saying Miz is defending his IC title against Ziggler at SummerSlam. In the match, Cesaro held up Ziggler for a suplex and was a bit too cocky about it. Ziggler got out of it, then was able to hit the Zig Zag for the win. Miz got in the ring post-match, but ducked to the outside when Ziggler went for a Superkick.
Goldust and Stardust defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel via pinfall. Stardust won the match when he hit a new move called Dark Matter on Curtis Axel. The match lasted under 3 minutes.
Backstage, Triple H and Stephanie were working on paperwork when Kane came into the room. He took off his mask and wig then handed it over to Stehapnie before leaving the room. Stephanie just looked down at the mask.
Chris Jericho defeated Luke Harper via disqualification. In the match, Jericho was able to get the Walls of Jericho on Harper, but the Wyatt Family sounder went off. Bray Wyatt appeared when the lights returned. Rowan tried to sneak attack Jericho, but he hit him with a Codebreaker. He hit another one on Harper, but Bray got in the ring and hit a clothesline. The ref called for the bell. Bray hit Sister Abigail on Jericho, but due to the stipulations, Jericho now faces Bray at Summerslam without Rowan and Harper at ringside.
Diego defeated Fandango via pinfall. Hornswoggle came to the ring with Fandango, while Summer, Layla and Torito accompanied Diego. During the match, Hornswoggle distracted Diego a bit. Fandango charged at Diego who moved away, so Fandango collided with Horney. Diego hit the Backstabber on Fandango to collect the win. Post-match, Summer and Layla checked on Hornswoggle. They brought him and Torito into the ring to dance around Fandango. Fandango shoved Horney down, but eventually got hit by a move from Diego and Torito.
Bo Dallas defeated R-Truth via pinfall. The match lasted a minute. Bo got the advantage on the outside when he shoved Truth into the ring steps. Moments later he hit the Bo-Dog off the steps to the floor before pinning Truth in the ring.
Heath Slater defeated Seth Rollins in the Beat the Clock Challenge match via pinfall. Originally, Rob Van Dam came to the ring for the match, but then Justin Roberts announced the Authority had switched opponents and Heath Slater would face Rollins. During the match, Dean Ambrose showed up and grabbed the MITB case. He opened the briefcase to take out the contract and then tore it up. That allowed Slater to deliver a kick for a near fall on Rollins. On the outside, Ambrose kept playing it up, pouring some soda into the briefcase, then putting popcorn in there and finally, JBL’s hat. He twirled the briefcase overhead which distracted Rollins enough for Slater to quickly roll him up for the win. That gives Ambrose the right to choose a Summerslam match stipulation, which he’ll announce on Friday’s Smackdown.
They had a contract signing between Stephanie and Brie Bella to close Raw. During the signing, the two exchanged verbal jabs and trash talk to hype their match. Nikki Bella was there in the ring as was Triple H. Eventually, Steph signed the contract, but then slammed the contract holder on Nikki’s head. Triple H pushed the table back causing it to block Brie in the ring corner. Steph hit a Pedigree on Nikki in front of Brie. Steph started to do the “Yes” chant and then Triple H did it in Brie’s face. She slapped him. Stephanie slammed Brie head first into the table, then hit a Pedigree on her. She kissed Triple H and then he held up her arm to close the show to booing fans.
