Raw Preview 09.29.08

Tonight's episode Raw is less than one week from the explosive No Mercy Pay-Per-View. The event includes several Raw superstars in action, with the World Heavyweight title on the line. Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels look to gain some sort of advantage as they head into their Ladder Match. Last week, Jericho gave an in-ring preview of how he expects to climb the ladder and easily pull the belt down from above. What will Shawn Michaels' response be to Jericho's cocky statements? Will the two confront each other on Raw?

Randy Orton has made his presence felt as he's returned to the Raw show. Even though Orton hasn't been cleared to wrestle, he's put the rest of the roster on notice, as well as Chris Jericho. Orton has claimed he will resume "the age of Orton" and take the World Heavyweight title on Raw. He still has CM Punk to worry about, who confronted Orton last week in the ring and knocked him to the ring corner. Raw GM Adamle has stated that if any superstar touches Randy until his return, they'll be suspended. What will Orton and Punk's next moves be on Raw? Will Orton align himself with the other 3rd generation superstars, Manu, Rhodes and Dibiase? Or will he continue to operate solo?

Also, JBL and Batista prepare for their match to determine the title's next #1 Contender. Both men have layed claim to their right to be #1 Contender, but will need to prove it on Sunday. How will JBL and Batista prepare for their upcoming match? Will the Animal stand tall or will Bradshaw have the upperhand after Raw?

Last week's Raw also saw Kane defeat Evan Bourne in the ring and then continue his attack as he decimated the young star. Rey Mysterio tried to come down for the save, but the Big Red Machine was too much for him. Kane chopped Rey down from mid-air and left him layed out in the ring. The two will face off in a heated grudge match at No Mercy. Which superstar will have the momentum in their favor heading into the PPV?
