Survivor Series 2010 PPV Results

Welcome to the 2010 Survivor Series PPV results page at WWE Characters the Blog! Tonight starting at 8PM EST you'll find results updated as matches are completed, all the way through the end of the Pay-Per-View around 11PM EST. Tonight's event takes place in Miami, Florida and is presented by Paper Jamz.

Official theme song for Survivor Series is "Runaway" by Hail the Villain, available for digital download at Amazon.com.

Survivor Series 2010 will feature John Cena in the match of his life, although he won't be wrestling. Cena will be the special guest referee as Nexus leader Wade Barrett challenges Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Since Cena's still part of Nexus, the leader Wade Barrett has ordered him to "do the right thing" meaning Barrett wants Cena to give him the easy win. If Barrett wins the title, Cena is no longer required to be a part of Nexus. However, if Barrett doesn't win, he's told Cena he'll fire him from WWE on the spot. Cena has said win or lose, free or fired, he'll go out with a bang and wants a piece of his former Nexus boss.

Of course that's just one of several matches for tonight's card, also including Edge challenging for Kane's World Championship, Natalya going for the Divas title, a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match and Kaval in his first PPV, going for the IC title. Below are all the matches. Click here to refresh this page for the latest results!

Daniel Bryan vs. Ted Dibiase
US Championship

Late in the match, Daniel Bryan managed to lock in his trademark submission move, the Labelle Lock. Dibiase soon tapped out giving Bryan the win.

Bryan retained the US Title, but as he was walking backstage, he got attacked on the ramp by The Miz. Miz came to the ring to insult the Miami crowd about their NBA Team, referring to Lebron James being from Ohio which is where The Miz hails from. Miz talked about how Lebron will never win a title in Miami, but Miz could. He referred to the MITB case and said he doesn't care about John Cena's career. Miz said it's not a matter of if he cashes in, but when.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins via pinfall over Ted Dibiase to retain the United States Championship.

John Morrison vs. Sheamus

Late in the match, Morrison was beating up Sheamus in the corner. He went for Starship Pain, but Sheamus blocked it then tried for the Irish Curse. JMo managed to escape the hold and avoided Sheamus' running kick move. Morrison nailed a flash kick to Sheamus then hit a flying knee to Sheamus' chin to take him down for the pinfall victory.

Winner: John Morrison wins via pinfall over Sheamus.

Kaval vs. Dolph Ziggler
Intercontinental Championship

Kaval announced on the recent episode of Smackdown that he would use his NXT Season 2 prize of a title shot at a PPV of his choice to face Ziggler for the IC title, at Survivor Series.

In the late stages of the match, Ziggler used headbutts on Kaval. Kaval managed to send Ziggler to the ropes and then went for the quick rollup pin. Ziggler rolled through it and grabbed Kaval's tights to secure the 1-2-3 and retain the Intercontinental title!

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins via pinfall over Kaval.

Team Mysterio vs. Team Del Rio
Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match

Team Mysterio consists of Chris Masters, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, MVP and captain Rey Mysterio. Team Del Rio is Tyler Reks, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes and captain Alberto Del Rio. Swagger via Rey at 17:35.
Drew via Show at 18:12.
Del Rio never officially eliminated.

Winners: Team Mysterio wins: Big Show & Rey Mysterio are final members of the team after elimination of Drew McIntyre. Del Rio was knocked out by Big Show during match, but never an official elimination.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater
WWE Tag Team Championship

Winners:

Natalya vs. Team LayCool
Divas Championship 2-on-1 Handicap

Despite being doubleteamed early on, Natalya regained some control on the outside. She tossed Layal over the guardrail then sent Michelle over the guardrail on top of her. Moments later back in the ring, Team LayCool thought they had an advantage. However, Natalya managed to get Michelle down on the mat and put her in the Sharpshooter. Michelle quickly tapped out giving Natalya the win and the Divas Championship!

Post-match, Natalya was celebrating the moment when LayCool attacked her. They continued a beatdown until a surprise diva returned - Beth Phoenix! Beth rushed to the ring for the save. Afterwords she hoisted Natalya up on her shoulders to celebrate the win.

Winner: Natalya wins via submission over Michelle McCool to become the new Divas Champion.

Edge vs. Kane
World Championship

After Edge arrived out, Kane was looking enraged over the whole Paul Bearer kidnapping incident. Edge went backstage before the match, then returned with a wheelchair. It was empty, no sign of Paul Bearer, and the match began.

During the match, Kane continually asked Edge what he did to Paul Bearer, but didn't get any answers. Late in the match, Kane went for a Tombstone Piledriver, but Edge avoided it, then was able to hit the Spear on Kane. Edge made what looked like the winning pinfall attempt, but both wrestler's arms were down on the mat. The ref made a 3 count. Edge's theme music started playing, but the ref soon waved that off. Tony Chimel had announced Edge as new champion, but the ref told Chimel that wasn't the case. Chimel corrected his result and said it was a "tie" since both wrestler's shoulders were on the mat for the 3 count. Kane retains the World title!

Post-match, Kane attacked Edge and demanded to know where Paul Bearer was. Edge was able to recover and ended up putting Kane into the wheelchair then smashing it through the wall near the timekeeper's area for a dramatic finish to the after-match.

Winner: Match ruled a tie since both Edge & Kane's shoulders were down on the mat. Kane retains the World Championship.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Justin Gabriel & Heath Slather
WWE Tag Team Championship Match

In a tag team championship match that lasted just five minutes, Santino tried to show off his new Sambo training moves. Early on, Santino took control then tagged in Kozlov. Gabriel and Slater were able to gain control of things for the doubleteam attack on Kozlov. Kozlov was finally able to get free at one point to make a hot tag to Santino. In the late moments of the match, Santino had momentum with his diving headbutt fist drop onto Slater. Justin Gabriel rushed in to break up the pinfall. Everyone got involved in the ring, but Santino prepped for the Cobra. Unfortunately, Nexus was at ringside and their distractions including David Otunga's help, allowed Slater to get the winning finisher on Santino to retain the titles.

Winners: Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater win via pinfall over Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov to retain the WWE Tag Team titles.

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett
WWE Championship Match
John Cena as Referee

The stipulations attached to the match by Nexus leader Wade Barrett in this "free or fired" situation for Cena are: If Barrett becomes WWE Champion, John Cena is free of Nexus. If Barrett loses the match, Cena is fired from WWE.

Late in the match, opposing chants for and against Cena started up from the crowd. Orton was setting up for the RKO, but Barrett managed to roll outside the ring to prevent it. Orton went outside and was able to clotheslined Barrett down, then rolled him back into the ring.

As Orton went to get back in the ring, Barrett kicked him in the head, then used the Wasteland center ring. He had the pinfall on Orton which Cena counted, but Orton was able to grab hold of the bottom rope before three to break it.

Barrett got into Cena's face to challenge him for not counting a quicker pinfall to give him the win. He shoved Cena, causing Cena to look away trying to hold back. He bumped Barrett just enough to allow Orton to connect with the RKO out of nowhere. Cena dropped down and counted 1, 2, and after a slight pause, 3! Orton wins the match to retain the WWE Title, yet Cena is fired!

Post-match, there was silence all around. Cena made his salute to the crowd and also went into the crowd to shake and slap hands, thanking fans for their support. The Pay-Per-View ended around 10:50PM after Cena had made his way through the crowd, then saluted the crowd from the ramp and went backstage.

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Wade Barrett. John Cena counts winning pinfall so per stipulation of Barrett he will be fired from WWE.
