Smackdown Results from Providence, RI:

The opening of the show had World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, come out to discuss how he suffered a concussion, but it won't prevent him from wrestling against Christian on Sunday. GM Teddy Long said Orton won't be competing tonight due to his injury status. Christian comes out and says Orton gave a good excuse, then polled the crowd about it. Sheamus interrupts next and ends up in a match against Christian later on. If Sheamus wins, Sunday is a Triple Threat match.

Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan & Ezekiel Jackson defeated Wade Barrett, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes

In a backstage segment, Sheamus promised to defeat Christian tonight, then win the World Championship at Capitol Punishment.

Jinder Mahal defeated Vladimir Kozlov

Big Show comes to the ring saying he heard Alberto Del Rio might be there tonight. Teddy Long tells Show he won't lay a hand on Del Rio if he shows up. Instead, Show would face Mark Henry. Big Show beat him using a knockout punch, which required Henry to be taken away by stretcher.

Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Tamina defeated AJ, Natalya & Kaitlyn after Tamina hit her Samoan Drop on AJ to get the pinfall.

In a backstage segment, Johnny Curtis says he'll be the "Ace in the hole" because his debut is approaching. Curtis pulled an Ace playing card from a golf hole.

Christian is backstage and upset he has to go against Sheamus tonight, claiming he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone.

The Usos defeated Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel.

Alberto Del Rio arrived to the ring and said his destiny is to win the WWE Championship. He said he isn't afraid of Big Show or anyone else. Del Rio added that Sunday's PPV match is dedicated to Ricardo Rodriguez. Show finally came out to the ring, chasing Del Rio out. An angry giant started tearing apart the ringside area, causing Del Rio to look worried.

In the main event, Randy Orton was ringside to watch Christian vs Sheamus. Christian defeated Sheamus in the match to keep it a singles match for Sunday against Orton. Post-match, Orton goes after Christian, who takes off. Orton goes back into the ring where he ends up giving Sheamus a punt kick to the head. Christian sees it all go down ahead of Sunday's big match.
