2009 No Way Out Theme - Hunt You Down by Saliva Lyrics

hard rock band saliva

Saliva is no stranger when it comes to providing hard-rockin' theme music for the WWE and its Pay-Per-Views. Just a few years ago they provided the Wrestlemania 23 theme song, "Ladies and Gentlemen" to get fans hyped for the event and currently they provide the main theme song for ECW on Sci-Fi, "Don't Question My Heart". The hard rock band from Memphis, Tennessee is back again to provide another theme song, this time for the 2009 No Way Out Pay-Per-View. The heavy guitar track with lyrics discussing just what we may see at No Way Out is a more than appropriate theme song for any of the matches on the card including the Elimination Chambers or the Orton vs. Shane McMahon No Holds Barred match.

Below you'll find the complete lyrics for Saliva's track "Hunt You Down" which is on their latest album entitled, Cinco Diablo.

2009 No Way Out Theme Song
Hunt You Down by Saliva
Official Lyrics

And I´m gonna stomp you into the ground

And you know it´s true
I´m just better than you
See the fear that´s in your eyes
I´ll make you realize

Well oh yeah, here we go again
Looks like we're on the floor again
Hell yeah, here we go again
Cause I came here to win

I´ll fight forever
I won't surrender
And I will always
Hunt you down, down, down, down

Next time you open your mouth up
You better be ready to back it up
You better talk to all your friends
I bet you won't do this again
[ Find more Lyrics at www.mp3lyrics.org/ntM9 ]

Cause when you chose to raise your hand
That´s when a boy messed with a man
And I will hunt you down my friend
And I´m gonna tear you limb from limb

And you know it´s true
I´m just better than you
See the fear that´s in your eyes
I´ll make you realize

Well oh yeah, here we go again
Looks like we're on the floor again
Hell yeah, here we go again
Cause I came here to win

I´ll fight forever
I won't surrender
And I will always
Hunt you down

(SOLO)

And you know it´s true
I´m just better than you
See the fear that´s in your eyes
I´ll make you realize

Well oh yeah, here we go again
Looks like we're on the floor again
Hell yeah, here we go again
Cause I came here to win

I´ll fight forever
I won't surrender
And I will always
Hunt you down, down, down, down...

2008 Armageddon Theme - Chinese Democracy by Guns N' Roses Lyrics

guns n roses logo According to metalunderground.com, the WWE has signed rock band Guns N' Roses to provide the theme song for the 2008 Armageddon Pay-Per-View. Guns N' Roses' hardrock title track from their latest album, Chinese Democracy
icon will provide the backdrop of the last WWE Pay-Per-View in 2008. Their album is 17 years in the making for the group, but features just one original member, 46 year old lead singer Axel Rose. New members include bandmembers from groups such as Nine Inch Nails and The Replacements. According to a New York Times article in 2005, they described the album as the "most expensive album never made," estimating its cost at $13 million.

Right now the group's return album is available exclusively at iTunes & BestBuy stores. The full album was streamed ahead of release on Myspace. One song was also released for a video game. The song "Chinese Democracy" has peaked at #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles list, and the band hopes that the additional exposure with WWE will help increase awareness of their new album. A recent news story discussed how fans of the band in China were unable to buy the album legally due to its title. Fans were still able to listen to the 14 track album on the band's Myspace page.

2008 Armageddon Theme
Chinese Democracy Lyrics
by Guns N' Roses

It don't really matter
You're gonna find out for yourself
No it don't really matter
You're gonna leave this thing to somebody else

If they were missionaries
Real time visionaries
Sitting in a Chinese stew
To view my dis-in-fat-u-ation

I know that I'm a classic case
Watch my disenchanted face
Blame it on the Falun Gong
They've seen the end and it can't hold on now

'Cause it would take a lot more hate than you
To end the fascination
Even with an iron fist
All they got to rule the nation
When all I've got is precious time

It don't really matter
Guess I'll keep it to myself
Said it don't really matter
It's time I look around for somebody else

'Cause it would take a lot more time than you
Have got for masturbation
Even with your iron fist
All they got to rule the nation
When all we got is precious time
All they got to fool the nation
When all I got is precious time

It don't really matter
I guess you'll find out for yourself
No it don't really matter
So you can hear it now from somebody else

You think you got it all locked up inside
And if you beat 'em enough they'll die
It's like a walk in the park from a cell
And now you're keeping your own kind in hell
When your great wall rocks blame yourself
While their arms reach up for your help
And you're out of time.

Time is Now for WWE/Cena Lawsuit

The rap group M.O.P. has filed a federal lawsuit against the WWE and John Cena over illegal use of one of their songs at a televised WWE event. The two rappers from the group, Jamal Grinnage and Eric Murray claim that Cena's WWE song "The Time Is Now" borrows heavily from their rap single "Ante Up". The major point of contention is over the non-English line "BRRR Abado" from M.O.P.'s song which was used three times in Cena's song.

The lawsuit filed in a federal court also alleges that the WWE's lawyer had a secretary sign off on the paperwork giving rights to use M.O.P.'s song. The rappers are asking for the "destruction of Cena's song" and $150,000 to be payed in damages. According to AllHipHop.com, WWE may also have to edit out the song from any DVD's that have "The Time is Now" featured in them. In addition, WWE may have to cease using the song in future productions. There's been no comment by John Cena or WWE on this lawsuit yet.

WWE Seeking More Music

A recent article on Reuters.com takes a look at the aspect of music as it's involved in WWE events. Right now World Wrestling Entertainment music director Jim Johnston is trying to recruit more recording artists to get their songs involved with WWE Pay Per Views or other events. The jist of the article is that WWE feels artists can gain more exposure by lending their songs to WWE events, than they would get for having a video on MTV. A song by rock band Fuel recently used for the Ric Flair Farewell video become highly downloaded on iTunes following its airing on WWE programs.

According to Reuters.com:

That impact on sales from a WWE placement can be immediate, even if a band won't get rich from the proceeds. For instance, the March 31 episode of the company's flagship series, "Raw," featured the song "Leave the Memories Alone" by veteran hard rock band Fuel as part of a tribute to retired wrestler Ric Flair. Paid U.S. downloads of the song totaled less than 1,000 during the two weeks before the broadcast, but surged to nearly 8,000 during the next two weeks, according to SoundScan.

"I'm not claiming to be changing the face of the music industry," Lawi said. "However, being on our shows makes a significant impact in sales, creates awareness for bands and these songs and provides a different platform for artists to be showcased on."

The WWE has a good point with this, as fans will feel more of a connection to certain songs used in highlight videos or Pay Per Views. Read the full article "Music a Key element in WWE brand profile".

red hot chili peppers

March 30th's Wrestlemania 24 will feature a few theme songs, one of which is performed by longtime rock band, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. The group has had many other hit songs including "Give It Away", "Under the Bridge" and "Californication". Here's the full lyrics of the Wrestlemania 24 theme song which is available on the RHCP album, Stadium Arcadium.

Snow (Hey Oh)
Red Hot Chil Peppers

Come to decide that the things that I tried
Were in my life just to get high on

When I sit alone come get a little known
But I need more than myself this time

Step from the road to the sea to the sky
And I do believe that we rely on

When I lay it on
Come get to play it on
All my life to sacrifice

Hey oh listen what I say oh
I got your
Hey oh now listen what I say oh

When will I know that I really can't go
To the well once more time to decide on

When it's killing me
When will I really see
All that I need to look inside

Come to believe that I better not leave
Before I get my chance to ride

When it's killing me
What do I really need
All that I need to look inside

Hey oh listen what I say oh,
Come back and
Hey oh look at what I say oh.

The more I see the less I know,
The more I like to let it go... hey oh

Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder,
Where it's so white as snow.

Privately divided by a world so undecided,
And there's nowhere to go.

In between the cover of another perfect wonder,
And it’s so white as snow.

Running through the field where all my tracks will,
Be concealed and there's nowhere to go.

Oh

When to descend to amend for a friend
All the channels that have broken down

Now you bring it up,
I’m gonna ring it up,
Just to hear you sing it out.

Step from the road to the sea to the sky,
And I do believe what we rely on.

When I lay it on,
Come get to play it on,
All my life to sacrifice.

Hey oh listen what I say oh,
I got your
Hey oh listen what I say oh.

The more I see the less I know,
The more I like to let it go... hey oh.

People need the cover of another perfect wonder,
Where it's so white as snow.

Privately divided by a world so undecided,
And there's nowhere to go.

In between the cover of another perfect wonder,
Where it’s so white as snow.

Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed,
And there's nowhere to go.

I said hey hey yeah... oh yeah,
Tell my love now
Hey yeah yeah oh yeah
Tell my love now
Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder
Where it's so white as snow
Finally divided by a world so undecided
And there's nowhere to go
Deep beneath the cover of another perfect wonder
Where it’s so white as snow

Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed
And there's nowhere to go.

I said hey oh yeah... oh yeah,
Tell my love now...
Hey oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah, oh yeah!

Snow Hey Oh is available on the album, Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
