Smackdown Preview 08.15.08
Tonight's episode of Smackdown is sure to feature a preview of what may be in store for Summerslam. In one of the main events for the evening, United States Champion Shelton Benjamin will defend the title against Jeff Hardy. Jeff's poised to capture yet another title, but he's also got a match coming up against MVP at Summerslam. On the flipside, Shelton's been on a bit of a losing streak since capturing his title. Will Shelton successfully defend? Will Jeff Hardy be a new champ heading into Summerslam, or will he be too focused on his match against MVP?
Edge is also preparing for a huge Hell in a Cell match against Undertaker at Summerslam. Last week saw Edge attack each member of La Familia one by one, before he turned against Vickie Guerrero. Edge layed out Chavo Guerrero in the ring with a Con-Chairto, then dumped Vickie out of her wheelchair. The Rated-R Superstar claims he will bring all of La Familia to Hell with him, especially Vickie. What reprecussions will be in store for Edge on Smackdown from GM Vickie Guerrero? Will Undertaker make his presence known?
Triple H was also brutally attacked by his upcoming opponent for Summerslam, Great Khali. The Vise Grip was applied around HHH's skull, leaving him down for the count after an Indian Broken Glass Arm Wrestling Contest. Khali's manager and translator, Runjin Sing called out "Game Over" to let HHH know Khali is planning to take his title. What will HHH's response be to last week's attack? Will the two opponents clash again before Summerslam?
There's sure to be plenty of action on Smackdown, including Brian Kendrick and his bodyguard Ezekiel, and from the impressively undefeated Vladimir Kozlov. Catch Smackdown at 8PM EST on CW Network!
