Alberto Del Rio defeated John Cena via pinfall for the United States Championship. Del Rio was the surprise challenger and was introduced by Zeb Colter. The two seem to have aligned now. In the match, Del Rio escaped an Attitude Adjustment then hit a Backstabber and kicked Cena in the head for the pin.

Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt via pinfall inside Hell in a Cell. Wyatt set up some kendo sticks in the corner of the ring and tried to shove Reigns into them to win it, but Reigns blocked it, grabbed a stick and hit Wyatt a few times. He shoved him face first into the other stick in the corner, then hit a Spear to get the win.

New Day defeated Dudley Boyz via pinfall to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship. Late in the match, Big E hit Bubba Ray from the ring apron with the trombone. Kofi connected on a Trouble in Paradise kick for the win.

Seth Rollins defeated Kane via pinfall to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Kane prepared for a big chokeslam late, but Rollins was able to block it and then hit a Pedigree to drive Kane face first to the mat. Rollins got the winning pinfall to retain his title and also get Kane removed from his job with The Authority.

Kevin Owens defeated Ryback via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Owens managed to kick Ryback in the eye late and then hit a Pop-up Powerbomb for the win.

Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker via pinfall inside Hell in a Cell. Both men were bloodied up with all sorts of weapons used including chairs and the ring steps. Late in the match, Lesnar tore up the ring mat padding to expose the wood underneath part of it. Taker hit both a chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver on Lesnar on the wood but couldn’t pin him. Later, Lesnar low blowed Taker and hit an F5 for the win. Post-match, Taker was attacked by The Wyatt Family who beat him up and carried him backstage to close out the show.

2014 WWE Hell in a Cell Results (Final)

WWE's Hell in a Cell 2014 results took place on Sunday night from Dallas, Texas. There were eight matches on the card as well as a free kickoff match involving Mark Henry vs. Bo Dallas. The main event featured Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins inside the cell, while John Cena took on Randy Orton inside the cell with the winner becoming new #1 contender for Brock Lesnar's World Heavyweight title.

The full WWE Hell in a Cell Results are here.

Here's a look at the quick results from the 2014 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view:

Mark Henry def. Bo Dallas via pinfall (kickoff show match).
Dolph Ziggler def. Cesaro 2-0 in a 2 of 3 Falls match for the Intercontinental Title.
Nikki Bella def. Brie Bella via pinfall. Brie is now Nikki's personal assistant.
Gold & Stardust def. The Usos via pinfall to retain the Tag Team titles.
Sheamus def. The Miz via pinfall to retain the United States Title.
Rusev def. Mark Henry via submission.
AJ Lee defeated Paige via submission to retain the WWE Divas Championship.
Seth Rollins def. Dean Ambrose via pinfall in Hell in a Cell.

The big story in the main event was Bray Wyatt showing up inside the main event Hell in a Cell match to attack Dean Ambrose. It started with the lights going out and weird chanting as Ambrose was about to weird. A lantern appeared lit in the center of the ring with smoke coming up around it. Eventually, Bray attacked Ambrose to ground him and Rollins stole a pinfall win. Bray hit Sister Abigail to finish Ambrose.

Also, Paige slapped her good friend Alicia after losing the match to AJ. Paige had hit her head on the crowd barrier when AJ tripped her. Alicia helped roll Paige into the ring and AJ put on a Black Widow to make Paige quickly tap out, so Paige took exception to that extra "help."

An impressive match occurred between Dolph and Cesaro with numerous spots, but Dolph won it in a 2-0 sweep. No other major surprises tonight. Kane had a minor part in the main event, spraying a fire extinguisher into Ambrose's face through the cage. Otherwise, no Brock Lesnar appearance or any other surprises of note.

Hell in a Cell 2014 Kickoff Show

Renee Young was joined on the panel for the kickoff show by Booker T and Alex Riley, as well as Paul Heyman. Heyman added his thoughts on various matches but said in particular his client Brock Lesnar would be watching tonight with great interest. He said the Cena vs. Orton match is a “winner’s nightmare” because they will have to face his client Brock Lesnar next.

They had an in-ring segment of MizdowTV with Damien Mizdow hosting. Cole, JBL and Lawler checked in on commentary for the show as Miz and Mizdow arrived to the ring. Miz kept interrupting Mizdow to take over the interview, so Mizdow just mimicked him and fake-moved his mouth as Miz was talking. Mizdow talked up Miz’s accomplishments and said defeating Sheamus for the US Title will only add to his resume. Mizdow told Miz he’s the best friend he’s ever had, and Miz said Damien is a damn good stunt double, one he is truly proud to call his friend.

Sheamus showed up on the big screen and told Miz he needs to ask his good friend to get on his hands and knees so he can kiss his ass goodbye. Sheamus informed Miz he won’t be winning the US Title tonight. He delivered a Brogue Kick to destroy the camera as his “trailer preview” of what’s to come. His theme music hit as the feed cut out with Miz and Mizdow angry in the ring.

Mark Henry made his entrance to the ring, then Bo Dallas was introduced. He had a mic in hand and talked about how he beat Mark Henry 4 times now. He said that makes him the new World’s Strongest Man. He got heat from the crowd saying he’s ashamed his last name is “Dallas” so for tonight only he is changing it to “Washington.”

Kickoff Show match: Mark Henry defeated Bo Dallas via pinfall. As soon as the bell rang, Henry began unloading punches on Dallas in the corner and didn’t let up. He ended up hitting World’s Strongest Slam on Dallas for the quick win. Dallas fell outside the ring to the ramp area and got on a mic saying he wasn’t ready and Henry cheated. He said in the book of life he’s still a winner and is 5-0. He said it’s because Henry will never Bo-lieve. Henry took exception and came over to Dallas then tossed him into a crowd barrier.

Byron Saxton interviewed Paige along with her new best friend Alicia Fox, backstage. Paige said tonight she's going to take away AJ's best friend, the WWE Divas Championship. They ran the Hell in a Cell by the numbers promo video ahead of the PPV.

2014 Hell in a Cell PPV Results:

Cesaro vs. Dolph Ziggler
Intercontinental Title 2 of 3 Falls match

The winner of this match is the first to win two falls in the match. At one point they traded near falls about five times. Ziggler went for a neck breaker, but Cesaro countered. Cesaro ended up getting Ziggler’s legs and looked ready for an airplane spin. He missed that try but got one moments later to spin Ziggler around ten times before letting go and pinning. Dolph kicked out. He stole a pinfall moments later for Fall #1. Dolph was ahead 1-0.

Cesaro managed to hit a one-arm slam on Dolph at one point, but it appeared Cesaro hurt his arm. He favored it a bit and then jumped on Dolph’s chest before trying a pin. He had a power bomb and another near fall. Ziggler worked on the hurt arm a bit and put a hold on Cesaro trying to make him tap, but Cesaro backed him into a corner. Cesaro tried to counter but Dolph locked a hold on him before Cesaro backed him into the corner.

Cesaro managed to hit a Superplex from the corner but his arm was hurting so he didn’t go for the cover. He finally put an arm over Dolph but only got 2. Dolph managed to avoid Cesaro in the corner, then hit a Fameasser for a near fall of his own. Cesaro caught Dolph at one point, then hit the big forearm for another near fall. Moments later, Dolph was able to hit a Superkick on Cesaro followed by the Zig Zag to win the second fall. Dolph with a clean sweep 2-0.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler defeated Cesaro 2-0 in a 2 of 3 falls match to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Backstage, Kane was meeting with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon saying they have two matches in place tonight. Randy Orton came rushing in asking where Seth Rollins was. Stephanie told Randy to use all of that anger and take it out on John Cena. Orton said he thought they were all on the same page, then said Rollins took it on himself to Curb Stomp him. HHH told him Rollins is a lot more like him than he realizes. He told Orton not to let that get to him tonight but instead to finish off John Cena and bring home the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton agreed to do it their way but said if they don’t eventually deal with Seth Rollins, he will.

Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella

The loser of this match becomes the personal assistant of the winner. Brie had a move to jump out of the ring on Nikki early. Nikki appeared to hurt her knee. Brie tossed her back in the ring and hit a missile dropkick for the near fall. Nikki hit her with the backbreaker Rack Attack but Brie kicked out of it. She kept up the fight though and hit a huge punch to clock Brie in the face knocking her down. Seconds later, she did the Rack Attack again and got the pinfall win.

Winner: Nikki Bella won via pinfall over Brie Bella.

The Usos vs. Star & Goldust
WWE Tag Team Championship

Gold and Stardust had the early advantage after hurting one of the Usos legs by slamming it against the ring post. Stardust settled into a headlock for a bit, as Goldust yelled “we’re not so strange now are we Uso?” The Uso finally broke free and got the hot tag. With the legal one hitting several dives out of the ring onto Star and Goldust. Goldust eventually fell into the corner in the ring and got a huge hip splash after. The pinfall didn’t succeed and neither did one after an Uso super kick on Goldust. The Usos managed to hit superplexes on Gold and Stardust from opposite ring corners, leaving all four men on the mat. A supersplash gave what looked like the winning fall, but Stardust broke it up. The action broke down, and Goldust hit a kick from behind on the hurt knee of the legal Uso, then rolled him up for the pinfall win.

Winners: Gold & Stardust win via pinfall over The Usos to retain the WWE Tag Team titles.

Randy Orton vs. John Cena
Hell in a Cell Match

Orton and Cena immediately started to punch away at each other. Cena whipped Orton to the corner but then caught an elbow when he rushed him. Orton took control, bringing Cena out of the ring to try to smash him head first on the steps. Cena fought back, but Orton regained control and chased Cena around the ring. Cena blocked Orton’s try to throw him into the cage wall, but Orton finally shoved Cena into it. They went back in the ring, where Cena tried to rush in with a steel chair, but Orton cut him off to continue control of the match. He grabbed the chair and brought it in the ring to ram Cena in the gut then smashed it on his back. Orton set it up in the corner but as he went to Cena, Cena tried for an AA. Orton countered and DDT’d Cena for the near fall.

At one point, Cena had control and set up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Orton surprised him and booted Cena in the head then hit a power scoop slam for a near fall. Orton continued to dominate things and went for the draping DDT on the middle rope. Instead, Cena dumped Orton out of the ring over the top rope. Orton managed to slam Cena crotch first into the ring post, then he hit his back and neck breaker onto the floor. Orton pulled Cena back in the ring for an attempted pinfall. Back in the ring, Orton ran the ropes and shoved Cena off the apron into the cell wall. Cena was able to gain the advantage on the outside and then set up a table in the ring. Orton ended up using the table as he propped it up into the corner of the ring.

Orton hit a surprise RKO moments later and grabbed the pinfall, but Cena kicked out ahead of 3 to surprise him. A frustrated Orton threw Cena through the table in the corner of the ring then rolled him over for another near fall. Orton brought in half the steel ring steps next. Cena recovered though and hit slam on Orton onto the steps, then hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle on Orton on the stairs. He waited for Orton to get back up, then went for the AA. Orton escaped and hit a low blow on Cena to drop him. Orton with another near fall.

Cena was hunched over so Orton backed up and went for the punt kick, but Cena avoided that and dropped Cena with a drop toehold. He put on the STF with Orton looking like he had no escape. Orton managed to crawl his way to the bottom rope to break it. Cole reminded viewers there inside a cell so the ref doesn’t have to break the hold. Orton pulled himself under the rope to break free. Cena went over and grabbed the steel steps and launched them towards Orton, but Randy moved to the side to dodge them. Back in the ring, Cena hit an AA for a near fall moments later. Cena tried another AA moments after that with Orton hitting an RKO counter for a near fall. Cena got up and hit another AA for a near fall too.

A table was set up in the ring with Cena on the corner already. Orton prepared to RKO Cena from the corner turnbuckle. Cena shoved Orton down instead, so Orton climbed up for a superplex. Cena countered it and hit an AA off the corner to smash Orton through the table to get the pinfall win.

Paul Heyman was shown standing up from the WWE Network panel. Cena walked over towards the crowd and gave the “call me” signal to Heyman then went back in the ring to celebrate.

Winner: John Cena defeated Randy Orton via pinfall to become new #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

The Miz vs. Sheamus
US Championship Match

Late in the match, the crowd started a “Mizdow’s awesome” chant as Mizdow was mimicking all of The Miz’s moves on the outside of the ring. Mizdow tried to get on the apron to distract Sheamus but the champ chased him off. Miz grabbed Sheamus from behind and hit Skullcrushing Finale for a very near fall. Moments later, Miz went for a move off the top rope but Sheamus delivered a mid-air Brogue Kick on him for the win. Post-match, Sandow got in the ring to lay on the mat mimicking The Miz. Sheamus had some fun, raising and dropping Miz’s arm to watch as Mizdown copied it. He eventually stood Miz up and made his arms do the YMCA which Mizdow mimicked as the crowd sang along.

Winner: Sheamus won via pinfall over The Miz to retain the United States title.

They showed Brie Bella outside loading the trunk of a car with a bunch of luggage. Nikki came walking up asking if she got her smoothie. Brie handed her a cup and Nikki inquired if she put in the right amount of bananas, blueberries and strawberries. Brie said yes, so Nikki opened it and poured it all over Brie’s head. She told her to go have another made just like that one and bring it to her hotel room.

Big Show vs. Rusev

Early on, Rusev was able to successfully ground Show, hurting his left leg and working it over on the mat. The crowd started up a USA chant, but Show was still down on the mat as Lana watched from ringside.

Rusev hit an impressive suplex at one point and then continued to work over the left leg until Show kicked him away. Show finally stood up, but gingerly. He managed to head butt Rusev, but Rusev responded by dropkicking Show down to the mat. Rusev jumped on Show’s back and tried for The Accolade, but Show avoided it and then put his own hold on Rusev, yanking his leg back to try to make Rusev tap. Rusev managed to grab the bottom rope to break it off.

Later on, Show managed to block a big boot attempt from Rusev, then chokeslammed Rusev to the match for a pinfall. Rusev kicked out of it. A few moments later, Mark Henry came down the ramp to cheer on Show. He looked at Rusev laying on the outside floor and hesitated going after him. Show went out to retrieve Rusev. Henry walked up and tried to encourage his friend, patting him on the back. As Show got back in the ring, Rusev delivered a boot to the head. Henry got on the side apron, so Rusev booted him as well. Another few kicks to Show, and then Rusev was able to put on The Accolade. Show tried to withstand it but eventually had to tap out.

Lana got in the ring to congratulate Rusev and put the gold medal on him as the Russian flag fell from the rafters. Henry tried to console Big Show after the loss.

Winner: Rusev won via submission over The Big Show.

Paige vs. AJ Lee
WWE Divas Championship

Alicia Fox arrived to ringside with Paige for the match. At one point, AJ managed to take out Paige and then Alicia Fox on the outside. Paige regained control on the outside as she swung AJ into the crowd barrier multiple times. Back in the ring, she put on various holds including yanking AJ’s arms behind her back. AJ broke that but Paige kicked her and tossed her to the corner for elbows.

AJ regained control and went against the ropes for a move but Paige kicked her down for a near fall. Paige went for a move, but AJ countered with a big kick to the jaw to drop Paige. AJ got on the corner and hit a Tornado DDT for a pinfall attempt but Paige kicked out of that. AJ put on the Black Widow to try to submit her, but Paige countered and carried AJ around, skipping a bit before she hit a fallaway slam for a near fall. Paige went to the outside and tried for a move on the barrier but AJ tripped her up causing Paige to fall hitting the back of her head on the barricade.

Paige was recovering on the floor as the ref was counting her out. Alicia helped Paige up and rolled her into the ring, but Paige was still out of it and AJ capitalized by quickly putting the Black Widow on Paige. Paige quickly tapped out. AJ celebrated a bit before leaving the room. Alicia got in the ring and screamed out at AJ. Moments later, Paige was on her feet and slapped Alicia in the face. Paige left the ring, backing up the ramp screaming “I hate you!”

Winner: AJ Lee defeated Paige via submission to retain the WWE Divas Championship.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
Hell in a Cell Match

Dean Ambrose made his entrance first with a kendo stick strapped to his back. He immediately went under the ring and started to toss numerous steel chairs into the ring and then dragged the table out from underneath. He pulled a bag out from under the ring and opened it in the ring dumping out several other items. Ambrose surveyed the structure from the outside, then yelled “we’re all gonna die tonight.” He started to scale the structure and got to the top then climbed out to pose on top with his stick. He got the crowd fired up as his theme music kept playing.

Seth Rollins’ music hit and he eventually appeared with the briefcase in hand. Security crew Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury accompanied him to ringside. Rollins got in the cage in the ring and yelled up at Ambrose “you wanna start it up there?!” He was urged against it by the guards, he shoved the miff and scaled the cage to go up and fight Ambrose. He stopped himself and climbed back down. He yelled Noble and Mercury “you two go up and get him!” They took off their suit coats and climbed up to go after Ambrose. Ambrose applauded them as they arrived on top.

Ambrose watched as they approached then swung the kendo stuck into both of them. However, Rollins had climbed up and hit a sneak attack at the top of the cage. They held him down as Rollins smashed the kendo stick on him repeatedly. Mercury and Noble kept beating up Ambrose with Rollins ordering them to throw him off. Ambrose fought back and knocked Mercury/Noble down, then set his sights on Rollins, smiling. The two ended up fighting each other on the side of the cell about halfway down. Ambrose head butted Rollins and they both fell off and through the announcers tables. Both men were layer out as refs and personnel came over to check on them. A stretcher was brought down for Ambrose, while Rollins was put on a stretcher.

They stated to roll Rollins up the ramp, but Ambrose got off his gurney and ran up the ramp to attack Rollins. He shoved him off the stretcher and kept up the attack then tossed him face first into the cell wall and into the ring. He backed off Mercury and Noble then slammed the cell door on Rollins’ head. Ambrose got inside, slammed the door closed and ordered the ref to lock it. Mercury and Noble yelled at the ref not to, but he did, and the bell finally rang.

Ambrose yelled “you stabbed me in the back” before repeatedly smashing a steel chair on Rollins. HE ended up tossing Rollins into the cell wall. Mercury and Noble tried to yell support into the cage but Ambrose went outside to further damage him. Ambrose set up a tablet on the cell wall and tried to slam Rollins through it. Rollins slid off and shoved Ambrose, who avoided going through the table. Rollins snuck back in the ring, but Ambrose still got the upper hand.

Rollins finally managed to get control of things and set up the table onto the side of the ring. He tried to suplex Ambrose over the top rope onto it, but Ambrose knocked him back onto the table instead. Ambrose got on the corner, then jumped off the second turnbuckle to smash Rollins through the table.

At one point, Ambrose was up with Rollins down. All of a sudden, corporate Kane walked over and sprayed Ambrose in the face with a fire extinguisher through the cable wall. Rollins gained the upper hand and threw Ambrose into the wooden table near the cage wall. Moments later, Rollins rolled Ambrose into the ring, then hit the Curb Stomp. Thinking he had the pinfall he covered, but Ambrose kicked out at the last moment.

Rollins brought the MITB case into the ring and then smashed a chair across Ambrose repeatedly for more damage. Rollins put Ambrose’s head on top of the brief case to go for a Curb Stomp, but Ambrose got onto his feet. Moments later, Ambrose hit his clothesline move from the ropes, then grabbed the MITB case. He got up and smashed it into Rollins’ face and went for the pinfall. Surprisingly, Rollins kicked out of it. Ambrose rolled out of the ring and grabbed two cinderblocks from under the ring to bring into the ring. Ambrose set them up next to Rollins and prepared for a Curb Stomp. As he backed up, suddenly the lights went out.

A strange voice in a different language kept chanting something indistinguishable over and over as the lights stayed off. Eventually a lantern lit up the center of the ring with smoke coming up around it. Eventually a hologram of a figure was shown moving in the smoke. Ambrose curiously looked at it to see what it was. All of a sudden, Bray Wyatt came up into the ring and charged at Ambrose, knocking him down. The lights went out then came back on with Wyatt doing his upside down crab move in the corner. He walked up to look at Ambrose before flipping over. Wyatt went over and stared at the lantern in the center of the ring. Cautiously, Rollins made his way over to put an arm over Ambrose for the pinfall win. He got the 3 count then rolled out of the ring.

Wyatt closed things by hitting Sister Abigail on Ambrose, and then knelt in the ring as the close camera shot was on him.

Winner: Seth Rollins won via pinfall over Dean Ambrose.

The 2013 WWE Hell in a Cell results will arrive on Sunday, October. 27th from American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.  The latest WWE pay-per-view features multiple championships on the line, including a fight to determine who will hold the WWE Championship, as well as the return of superstar John Cena.  At least two of the matches will be fought inside Hell in a Cell cage structures, with other matches in the ring.  A Triple Threat Tag team title match highlights the undercard as well as a grudge match with CM Punk taking on Ryback and Paul Heyman in a 2-on-1 handicap match inside the cell.

The event officially starts at 8 p.m. EST on pay-per-view, but a 7:30 p.m. EST Live Online Kickoff show will help to get fans ready for the PPV.  More details are below, along with the latest results from tonight's PPV coverage:

2013 Hell in a Cell Kickoff Show Match:

A breaking news story occurred on Sunday, Oct. 27 as WWE announced Curtis Axel was injured and would be unable to compete at Hell in a Cell.  Due to the injury, the IC title match vs. Big E Langston was removed from the live stream "Kick off show" at 7:30 p.m. EST, and replaced with Kofi Kingston vs. Damien Sandow instead.

Tonight's PPV panel for the kickoff show consisted of Josh Matthews, Dolph Ziggler, Kaitlyn and R-Truth.  Big E Langston eventually came to join them as well.  They had a backstage segment with The Shield complaining about how Big Show cost them the tag titles, and saying they deserve a straight tag team title match rather than Triple Threat.  Big E Langston and Dean Ambrose got into it a bit, with Big E eventually challenging Ambrose for his US Title.

There was a backstage segment involving The Miz trying to talk Vickie Guerrero into giving him a match with Bray Wyatt.  Vickie told him he's not medically cleared, so Miz said he'll make it a fight on his own, leaving Vickie behind.

Kofi Kingston vs. Damien Sandow (Kickoff pre-show Match)

Damien Sandow defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall.  Late in the match, Kofi made a comeback hitting a springboard cross-body splash on Sandow.  However, Sandow was able to overcome the comeback attempt and hit his finisher, “You’re Welcome,” for the win.  The commentators discussed the possibility of Sandow cashing in MITB during tonight’s PPV at the World Title match.

2013 WWE Hell in a Cell Results:

Triple Threat Tag Team Championship Match

Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated The Shield via pinfall to retain the Tag Team championship.  Late in this one, Jimmy Uso went up to the top rope for the big splash move.  Seth Rollins crotched Jimmy on the ropes, and then Cody tagged himself in to take over against Rollins.  Rollins went for a superplex later on, with Cody blocking it and then superplexing Rollins onto the other four guys outside the ring.  Back in the ring, various finishers were hit, with Rollins blocking Cross Rhodes.  Goldust punched Rollins and then sent him back towards Cody who hit Cross Rhodes for the win.

The Miz came out to the ring looking for The Wyatt Family.  In particular, he called out Bray for a fight.  Bray appeared on the Titantron asking Miz if he knows what he's asking for.  Bray suggests he'll "see the monster inside."  The lights go out and when they come back on, Rowan and Harper are in the ring to attack Miz.  They punched on Miz several times then hit a big clothesline.  Suddenly, pyro exploded and Kane made his surprise return.  He rushed to the ring and knocked Rowan out of the ring before picking up Harper and throwing him to the outside.  Kane finished by chokeslamming The Miz and setting the ring pyro off from the ringposts.

Fandango & Summer Rae vs. Great Khali & Natalya

Fandango & Summer Rae defeated Great Khali and Natalya via pinfall in a mixed gender tag match.  Khali was about to go for his "chokebomb" finisher on Fandango, but Fandango managed to quickly make a tag out to Summer Rae.  Summer Rae danced around Khali to distract and taunt him.  Natalya came in and knocked Summer down, eventually getting the advantage.  She went for a Sharpshooter but Summer snapped Natalya's head against the ropes and then rolled her up into a pinfall for the win.

Big E Langston vs. Dean Ambrose (US Championship)

Big E Langston defeated Dean Ambrose due to countout.  Late in this one, Ambrose went for a tackle on Langston in the corner, but missed and hit into the ringpost.  Langston speared him off the apron, and Ambrose couldn't get back into the ring to beat the referee's count.  Ambrose got his championship belt and went to leave, but Big E grabbed him and tossed him back into the ring, then hit The Big Ending on him before raising up the title belt.

CM Punk vs. Ryback & Paul Heyman (Hell in a Cell Handicap Match)

CM Punk defeated Ryback & Paul Heyman via pinfall in a Hell in a Cell handicap match.  Punk and Ryback made their ring entrances, and then Paul Heyman arrived out on electric scaffolding.  He raised himself up to the top of the cell saying he was "Satan" and he would stand over and watch Ryback destroy Punk during the match.  Late in the match, Punk was able to set up a table, but Ryback went to powerbomb Punk on it.  Punk countered that with Ryback crotching him on the corner of the table.  Heyman laughed as he watched above, but moments later, Punk hit a low blow on Ryback and then rolled him onto the table before going to the corner and flying off with an elbow drop on Ryback through the table.  Punk finished off Ryback with the Go To Sleep.

Post-match, Punk grabs a kendo stick and heads up to the top of the cell where Heyman was.  Punk grabbed Heyman by the shirt, then hit him in the stomach.  He followed with shots to the back and legs with the kendo stick, before hitting GTS on Heyman.  Punk looked down at Heyman laying on top of the cage and then celebrated with the live crowd.

Los Matadores vs. Real Americans

Brie Bella vs. A.J. Lee (Divas Championship)

AJ Lee defeated Brie Bella via submission to retain the Divas Championship.  Late in the match, Brie whipped AJ to the corner, then ran at her, but AJ got both knees up.  AJ went for Black Widow but Brie blocked it and went for a quick rollup pin.  AJ kicked out, so Brie rolled it into the half crab submission.  Tamina got on the apron to run interference, with Nikki yanking her off there.  The two got into it on the outside.  Brie ran the ropes and tried to kick AJ in the face but hit Nikki instead.  AJ capitalized on the distraction and put Brie in the Black Widow to make her tap out.

Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Hell in a Cell Match)

Randy Orton defeated Daniel Bryan via pinfall to become new WWE Champion.  During the match, Triple H came down to ringside to yell at Shawn Michaels about his officiating work.  Orton yelled at Michaels to pay attention to the match in the ring.  Bryan went for the YES lock but Orton blocked it, then connected on a hangman's DDT.  Orton went for the RKO, but Bryan shoved him away.  Orton accidentally hit into Shawn in the corner and knocked him down, so HHH asked the refs to open the cage door so they could check on Michaels.

Daniel Bryan tried to help review Shawn, but HHH shoved Bryan away.  Bryan got upset and hit the double knees to the face on HHH, before starting up a Yes chant.  Michaels got up and instantly connected on Sweet Chin Music on Bryan to lay him out.  Michaels looked down to see HHH on the mat.  Orton made the pinfall cover on Bryan and Michaels counted the 1-2-3 to award Orton the win.

Tonight's final results will be available here on the blog at approximately 11 p.m. EST.  Stay tuned for the latest coverage as well as all the fallout and followup on Monday's episode of Raw!

The PPV opened with a deranged Lullaby and then narration by a character who was supposed to be the Devil, saying he will bring out the worst in them tonight. The narration talked about Henry versus Orton, and then the Triple Threat HIAC matches. Pyro exploded up near the stage set, and then Michael Cole welcomed fans to the PPV in New Orleans Arena.

Sheamus vs. Christian

Christian arrived first. Before the match could start, the camera found The Miz and R-Truth as they made their way through the audience to front row seats. John Laurinaitis brought security to help him toss Miz and Truth out, right before Sheamus arrived for the match.

Sheamus started things off with the advantage and a headlock. Christian tried for an early hip toss, but got clotheslined down instead. Momenst later, Christian was able to trip Sheamus against the ropes. He tried to jump to the outside and punch Sheamus, but Christian got blocked and hit instead. Sheamus pounded on him on the apron then had a nearfall in the ring.

Christian managed to knock Sheamus to the outside at one point and gained the advantage in the ring. The two traded strikes in the ring with Christian able to hit a uppercut from off the corner to level Sheamus. Christian jumped on Sheamus' back for a sleeperhold but Sheamus dropped onto his back to break it. Later, Christian hit a missile dropkick for another nearfall.

Sheamus pressed Christian overhead but Christian slid off and tried for Killswitch. Sheamus countered to prevent that, but Christian kept attacking. Sheamus responded with a backbreaker on Christian for a nearfall. Christian was able to hit a Tornado DDT from the corner later for another nearfall.

Christian stopped Sheamus from going out to the apron for a top rope move. Sheamus fell back in the corner after Christian kicked him, but then Sheamus pulled himself up onto the corner in a display of strength. Sheamus hit the battering ram off the corner and went for the Brogue Kick with Christian ducking. Later the fight spilled outside and Christian hit a Spear on Sheamus to nearly get a countout. He hit another spear in the ring, with Sheamus barely escaping a pinfall.

The close saw Sheamus avoid a charging Christian and send him into the corner ringpost. From there, Sheamus bounced against the ropes and hit the Brogue Kick to get the pinfall.

Winner: Sheamus wins via pinfall over Christian.

Backstage, Matt Striker interviewed World Champion Mark Henry, or tried to. Henry told him to shut up mid-question because he knew what he was going to ask him. Henry said he doesn't care where he faces Orton in a back alley or Hell in a Cell, Randy Orton will join the Hall of Pain.

Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara

One Sin Cara was introduced, but then the second one was introduced with pyro wearing a different black/silver mask and outfit to the ring. His music was like the other Sin Cara's had a howling/groaning creature in it.

Early on, the two Sin Cara's traded quick moves, with the blue one getting the crowd going by clapping. They traded flips over one another and the dark Sin Cara hit a flying leg scissors, but then the blue one did as well.

Blue Sin Cara had an impressive against the ropes arm drag toss to throw the other Sin Cara out through the ropes. He followed by jumping over the top rope onto the dark Sin Cara. He tried for a moonsault off the apron, but the dark Sin Cara rolled out of the way.

Later in the match, Sin Cara black was in control and hit his own flying move over the ropes to land on Sin Cara blue outside the ring. He had several near falls in the ring. The two Sin Cara's collided in the ring, then reset with the Blue Sin Cara getting a headscissors to toss Black Sin Cara out of the ring. Blue Cara jumped off the corner to takeout the Black Sin Cara outside.

Blue Sin Cara gained momentum after hitting a huge armdrag off the corner, then a pendulum kick through the ropes on Black Sin Cara. He tried to jump off the corner, but Black Sin Cara rolled under him. Sin Cara black picked up Blue Sin Cara, but the Blue one did an impressive sunset flip move mid-air to get a pinfall win.

Winner: Sin Cara blue wins by pinfall over Sin Cara black.

Backstage, CM Punk was getting ready in the locker room when David Otunga came in. He offered Punk his legal services for later if he wins the WWE Championship. Punk said it's not if he wins the WWE Championship, it's how he will win it. Punk told Otunga he hates lawyers though.

Black Veil Brides "Set the World on Fire" is the official theme song of Hell in a Cell 2011.

Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston
WWE Tag Team Championships

Justin Roberts introduced Vickie Guerrero who then introduced the next tag champs, her newest client Jack Swagger and US champion Dolph Ziggler.

At one point in the match, Kofi managed to escape the doubleteaming of the heels. He got in the ring on fire, knocking down Swagger and knocking Swagger off the apron. Bourne had the pin on Ziggler who barely kicked out. He hit a standing moonsault on Ziggler for another near fall.

Later, Swagger came in illegally and put the Ankle Lock on Bourne. Kofi jumped off the to prope to take out Swagger. Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Kofi but he wasn't the legal man. As the ref tried to get Swagger out of the ring, Bourne put a small package pinfall on Dolph and almost got it.

The close saw Swagger trying to powerbomb Bourne from the corner. Instead, Bourne countered into a Sunset Flip from the corner to lock a pinfall on Swagger. Meanwhile, Kofi pulled on Dolph's leg to prevent him from intervening. Tag champs retain, as Vickie screamed at Swagger about what just happened.

Winners: Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston win via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
World Championship Hell in a Cell Match

Henry arrived down to the ringside area, placed his championship belt on the ground and then measured up the solid Hell in a Cell structure. The ref opened the door and Henry looked it up and down before shaking his head and going inside. Moments later, The Viper's theme music hit to bring out Randy Orton. Michael Cole said Triple H is the only superstar in WWE history with a better winning percentage at Hell in a Cell matches.

Orton immediately attacked Henry with punches to get the advantage. He actually kicked Henry down to the mat and forced him to the outside where he kept attacking. Henry tried to bash Henry's head against the cell, but Henry blocked it then tried to put Orton on his shoulder. Orton slid off and shoved Henry into the wall, then smashed him against it til Henry fell down.

Henry took the advantage and started to work over Orton's shoulder which Cole said has a history of injuries. Henry was able to smash Orton into the cage wall and ringpost on the outside, but then had to stop h imself and recover a bit. In the ring, Henry hit a small running powerslam for a near fall.

Henry continued to maintain control and pulled apart the steel steps. He smashed Orton against the cage, then backed up with the steel steps and threw them at Orton. Orton moved away in time as Cole exclaimed that Henry tossed the steps like a baseball. Henry kept smashing Orton into the cage wall. Later in the ring, Henry hit a huge splash on Orton for another near fall.

Later, Orton smartly scaled the cage wall and started kicking away on Henry from the cage. He went over and DDT'd Henry into the steel steps to gain control. In the ring, Orton had his tackle takedown to start pounding on Henry on the mat. Later still, The Viper managed to connect on an RKO. He thought he had the win but somehow Henry escaped the pinfall.

Orton got up and got that crazed look in his eyes, then backed up for a Punt kick. Henry started to get up and Orton ran at him. Henry got up and snatched up Orton to hit World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Post-match, Henry grabbed a steel chair and brought it in the ring. He hit another World's Strongest Slam on Orton, then dragged him to the corner. Henry put the chair on Orton's leg and tried to jump on him, but Orton rolled out of the way. From there, Orton realized what Henry tried to do and then grabbed the chair to smash him with. He hit Henry multiple times, chasing him up the ramp. Henry finally escaped to the back and avoided Orton.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

He talked about Halloween and how many of those people who didn't accept paper bags should be euthanized. Cody said the current Intercontinental championship should be put to rest, then asked the other guy to hand him the velvet bag.

Intercontinental Championship Match

Rhodes was caught off guard because he had to wrestle in his street clothes including suit and dress shoes. He eventually got his shirt off but Morrison kept attacking him. Rhodes tried to leave and also tried to hug the ringpost outside to get counted out. Morrison kicked him hard in the back, then tossed Rhodes back in the ring. Rhodes gained the advantage as JMo was rolling in.

Rhodes went for the Alabama Slam, but Morrison rolled through into a pinfall. Rhodes escaped it and kicked Morrison down, then slapped the back of his head to taunt JMo and the crowd. Rhodes put a Figure Four on Morrison with the crowd yelling out "Woo!" in honor of Ric Flair. Morrison grabbed the rope to break it.

JMo got some momentum and knocked Rhodes down multiple times before hitting his flip move to slam Rhodes into a pinfall. Morrison tried for Starship Pain but Rhodes avoided it. Later, Morrison hit a Pele kick to knock down Rhodes. Morrison tried to do a springboard kick off the middle rope but Rhodes avoided that. He rushed back to roll up Morrison into a pinfall for the win.

Laurinaitis told HHH there was a problem in the locker room. HHH and John rushed there to see refs restraining Miz and Truth. Bourne and Kingston were down after the attack. HHH had Miz/Truth taken out of there and told Laurinaitis he said to get police in there. He said if this stuff happens agian, Laurinaitis is out of a job. Zeke Jackson and Alex Riley had rushed in to check on the tag champs.

Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix
WWE Divas Championship

Natalya came to the ring with Beth, while Eve Torres came to the ring with Kelly.

Early on, Kelly had two of her jump on attacks to take down Beth to the mat and punch on Beth. Beth soon gained control midway through, and with Kelly down on the mat smacked her backside a few times to taunt her. She put a surfboard on Kelly and asked the ref to ask her to submit. Kelly hung in there and rolled up Beth for a near pinfall.

Beth got Kelly up on her shoulders for a powerbomb, but Kelly reversed into a pinfall. Beth escaped and started to punch away on Kelly. She kicked Kelly who rolled to the apron, and then put Kelly throat first on the middle ropes.

Beth went for Glam Slam, but Kelly managed to use her weight to get to the corner and flip out of it. Kelly gained momentum and hit her handspring move to hip check Beth in the corner. Kelly got on the top rope and hit a Bulldog off there onto Beth for the near fall. Natalya got on the apron but Eve rushed over to yank her off. Natalya was able to take out Eve on the floor.

In the ring, Beth took control and put a submission move on Kelly. Natalya got on the mic to ask if Kelly was going to cry. Kelly managed to grab the ropes to break the move. As the ref talked to Beth, Nat clocked Kelly in the head with the mic to KO her. Beth followed up with Glam Slam to capture the win and the divas title.

Winner: Beth Phoenix wins via pinfall over Kelly Kelly to become new Divas Championship.

Punk and Cena both went in together to attack Del Rio. Punk pulled Cena away and started to attack Del Rio. They kept pulling one another away to try to beat on Del Rio, then Punk went for a rollup pinfall on Cena.

Moments later, Cena picked up Del Rio on the outside and then Punk hit a suicide dive on them outside the ring to take control. Punk and Del Rio fought in the ring with Cena on the outside. The "Let's go Cena" and "CM Punk" chants started up. Punk grabbed a chair from the outside and tried to get in the ring but Cena headed him off. Punk went up on the steel steps inviting Cena to come after him, but Del Rio rushed over to shove Punk into the cage. Del Rio took control of Cena in the ring.

Cena had the AA on Del Rio, but Alberto slid off. He tried for a cross armbreaker but Punk was back in the ring and kicked Del Rio. Miz and Truth kept attacking the three stars in the ring. Finally, someone brought a bolt cutter down and opened the chain lock. Police officers went inside the cell with Truth and Miz getting down on their knees to surrender.

As they were escorting Miz and Truth out of the cage, HHH rushed over to take them down and pound away on them both. He even knocked down John Laurinaitis in the process. Also Kane's World Title is on the line in a Hell in a Cell match, as is Randy Orton's WWE Title. The Undertaker and Sheamus challenge for the titles respectively.

Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz vs. John Morrison
US Championship Triple Threat Submissions Count Anywhere

In the closing moments, John Morrison did a huge stunt, leaping from off the stage set onto Miz and Bryan below. All three guys were down for a bit and finally started to get up. Morrison managed to apply a Texas Cloverleaf onto The Miz. Miz was about to tap when his assistant Alex Riley rushed in to break things up. Daniel Bryan knocked Riley into a nearby cameraman, then was able to get Miz down into the Labelle Lock picking up the win. Announcer Michael Cole actually admitted "Bryan is the real deal" but added he still thinks he's a nerd.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins via submission over The Miz to retain the US Championship.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus
WWE Title Hell in a Cell match

In the late stages of this one, The Celtic Warrior took the Viper out for a Powerbomb attempt on the steel steps. However, Orton countered the move to slam Sheamus onto the steps instead. From there, Orton hit the huge RKO to finish off Sheamus, on the steel steps! After the pinfall, Orton celebrated by climbing the cell with his WWE Championship belt!

Winner: Randy Orton wins via pinfall over Sheamus to retain the WWE Championship.

Josh Matthews interview the six rookie divas from NXT Season 3 backstage. He talked of how the first elimination is Tuesday. They were interrupted as The Nexus arrived in to talk about how as of tomorrow night there will be six members of Nexus, when John Cena joins. They showed a wristband which they said will be given to John Cena very soon.

Ricardo Rodriguez introduced Alberto Del Rio to the crowd, who drove out in a Rolls Royce. He came to the ring talking of how tonight is his big Pay-Per-View debut. Del Rio bragged about being able to beat anyone in the WWE right now. That brought out the Rated-R Superstar Edge. He called Del Rio stupid, including the scarf he was wearing. Jack Swagger arrived out next saying it was stupid a Mexican and American are fighting in the ring and Swagger, the all-American American isn't fighting. Swagger and Del Rio ended up attacking Edge in the ring, and Del Rio slipped outside of the ring.

Suddenly the lights flashed and email sound dinged. The new laptop was in place and Michael Cole read the latest email from the anonymous GM. It said Edge owes the GM an apology on tomorrow night's Raw, but first he'll face Swagger in a match for tonight's PPV!

Edge vs. Jack Swagger

The match was fierce and ferocious with Swagger eventually getting a bit of a bloodied lip out of the deal. In the closing moments, Edge hit his trademark Spear for the win. However, Edge's ankle/leg appeared to take an injury thanks to Swagger.

Winner: Edge wins by pinfall over Jack Swagger.

John Cena vs. Wade Barrett
Join Nexus or Nexus Disbands?

Prior to the match, it had been revealed that if any Nexus member involved in the match, then Barrett would lose automatically. So Barrett was surprised when his Nexus crew arrived to the ring during the match. He told them to go backstage several times, but they chose to stay instead.

During the match, as Nexus surrounded the ring they were suddenly surprised as Big Show, Mark Henry, Goldust and other susperstars from backstage arrived out to drive them off with an attack. Cena smiled as he saw the WWE superstars were behind his cause.

In the late stages of the match, a surprise came. Cena had the STF but then a random fan came to interfere. While the ref was trying to restore order, another mysterious individual rushed in to attack Cena. With Cena knocked down, Barrett took the pinfall victory, defeating John Cena!

Winner: Wade Barrett wins via pinfall over John Cena.

Natalya vs Michelle McCool
Divas Championship

Natalya looked poised for the win as she was able to re-apply the Sharpshooter to McCool. McCool struggled to avoid tapping. Suddenly, Layla was up on the apron and tossed a shoe at Natalya. The ref immediately called for the bell, disqualifying McCool due to Layla's interference. Natalya chased LayCool out of the ring. Michelle is still Divas champ.

Winner: Natalya wins due to disqualification against Michelle McCool when Layla interfered.

Kane vs. The Undertaker

In the late part of this Hell in a Cell match, there were three refs involved at one point after one had become knocked down. Several officials and extra refs came from backstage to help the one ref from inside the cell out. Meanwhile, Paul Bearer was inside the cell area and got locked in. Kane saw him and walked over towards Bearer saying he souldn't have come back. Bearer tried to cowwer away as Kane was menacing him.

Just then, Undertaker sat up. He grabbed Kane and hit the Chokeslam. Taker looked at Bearer who held up the urn. Taker prepared for his Tombstone as he did the slit throat sign. Just then, loud thunder noises came into the arena as the lights flickered. Bearer opened up the urn and a light shined out into the Undertaker's eyes. While Taker was blinded, Bearer gave Kane the urn.

From there, Kane clocked Taker in the face with the urn, then hit a chokeslam for the victory. Kane is still the world Champion. Michael Cole questioned why Bearer would help Undertaker when he was on the brink of destruction only to destroy him yet again?

Winner: Kane wins via pinfall over The Undertaker to retain the World Championship.

WWE Hell in a Cell 2009 Analysis

WWE's Hell in a Cell (see full results) definitely surprised me with the two major titles changing over. In the case of the Undertaker, the guy's a clear legend, Hall-of-Fame bound, and obviously deserves all the accolades possible for his wrestling resume. However, giving him these short title reigns where he has to relinquish the belt within a few weeks after winning it seems to diminish the title. Questions start to come up: was this done just to transfer the title to someone else? Who will be the next champion - Jericho, Big Show, Kane, Batista? It will be interesting to see who the next challenger and champ is. They may even just trade the belt back to Punk so he can build up his resume. Looking ahead to the future, I can see Jericho holding the title come Wrestlemania 26, with Edge returning to challenge him. Just one possibility though.

People are questioning why DX versus Legacy closed out the Pay-Per-View, and with good reason. The other two Hell in a Cell matches involved title changes, possibly with Orton's being the shocker. Cena barely held the title for several weeks and traded it back to Orton again. That was surely a surprise, because as mentioned before the United States title has longer reigns than any other title around. Back in the day, guys like Hulk Hogan and Macho Man, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, held onto the WWE Title for months, even up to a year at most. Now the US title seems to carry more weight, with the WWE title a real mystery. Strange but true, Orton is now the new champ.

I was expecting that if any title changed over, it would be the Intercontinental or US, but those are sacred for now. Kofi Kingston has really received a decent push with this title reign, and having held the Intercontinental and Tag titles as well. Other matches went as expected, with Mickie James retaining her Divas title, JeriShow retaining the Unified tag titles, and the recently re-packaged Drew McIntyre winning his feud match in about 5 minutes over R-Truth.

The Drew McIntyre & Mickie James matches could easily have taken place on Smackdown and Raw, and they could have substituted an ECW Championship or grudge match. Recently the ECW matches have really been outdoing themselves, involving guys like Goldust, Sheamus, Regal, Ryder and Christian. Fans seem to get behind Goldust in a lot of arenas, so having him on the card wouldn't hurt.

The next Pay-Per-View will be just a few weeks away, called "Bragging Rights". Now we wait to see if we get yet another Cena vs. Orton match (the rematch for the WWE Title), and if the ECW gets a match at the event.

Hell in a Cell Results 2009:

Undertaker vs. CM Punk
World Heavyweight Title
Hell in a Cell match

After a Hell in a Cell video packaged aired, the Raw & Smackdown commentary teams discussed the lineup of matches for tonight's PPV. Surprisingly, Punk & Taker started things off.

Early on, the fight went outside the ring, with CM Punk trying to run away from Undertaker. Taker chased Punk back into the ring, with Punk trying to get on the apron. Taker was finally able to deliver a running boot to knock Punk off the cage. Taker went outside the ring to attack Punk, but ended up getting the steel steps kicked into him, hurting his knees. Undertaker's leg injury started to hobble him as he tried to continue his attack on Punk, doing a leg drop with Punk laying on the apron. Punk was still inside the ring and as Undertaker came back in through the ropes, Punk did a dropkick to knock him to the floor. From there Punk did a running dive onto Taker on the outside, which sent Taker crashing into the cage.

When the two competitors got back in the ring, they traded punches. Next, they traded headbutts. Taker took control with a boot to Punk followed by a legdrop. After a failed pinfall, Taker signaled for the Chokeslam and grabbed Punk, but Punk kicked him in his hurt leg. Punk prepared for a GTS, but Undertaker was able to counter and try for his finisher. Punk again was able to take out Taker's knee. Moments later, it was CM Punk delivering his running high knee on Taker in the corner, but Taker grabbed him and hit The Last Ride. Punk barely kicked out of a pinfall. Undertaker went for Old School despite his leg injury, with Punk yanking him off the ropes. From there, Punk went to use a steel chair on Taker, but The Phenom kicked the chair into Punk's face. With Punk reeling from a chair shot, Taker grabbed him for a Tombstone to make the pinfall.

Winner: The Undertaker wins via pinfall over CM Punk to become new World Heavyweight Champion.
