WWE Releases 4 Superstars, 2 Divas

Shocking news today that WWE has released four male wrestlers and two of its WWE Divas. According to a note on WWE.com, they've released Shad Gaspard, Luke Gallows, Vance Archer and Caylen Croft as well as divas Jillian Hall and Tiffany.

This may come as quite a shock seeing as several of these individuals had been featured in recent matches and feuds. Shad was the least recently seen of those released, but Vance Archer and Luke Gallows had both been involved in recent contests. Gallows was seen on Friday's edition of Smackdown, albeit in a brief backstage appearance as Kane rushed past.

Vance Archer had been a tag team partner along with Curt Hawkins, while Caylen Croft was one half of the Dudebusters. It'll be interesting to see if they continue to announce Trent Barretta as one half of the Dudebusters, or if they will officially disband that concept.

As for the divas, the Tiffany release is less shocking than that of Jillian Hall. Hall had pretty much been a main stay to help push divas over. She had been involved in a recent feud with the Bella Twins and even released new Christmas music. According to website Diva-Dirt, it appears Jillian will be doing more work as a part of the developmental training staff. Still, her gimmick of awful singing prior to matches will be missed on Raw and other events!

Tiffany had been involved in some off-screen drama with hubby Drew McIntyre, and was suspended from WWE. This happened after a successful bit of feuding with Team LayCool and partnering up with Kelly Kelly. Tiffany has been tweeting about her release and mentioned her off-screen real life husband, WWE star Drew McIntyre:

"I am sad that I won't be able to work with Drew. He is the best thing in my life and I know he is going to do amazing things with WWE. WWE is still a major part of my family and will always be. I am so proud of my husband and will be his biggest cheerleader. If it wasn't for WWE, we would have never met. I love you Drew. Thanks for being my rock :)"

Wishing best luck to Shad, Luke, Vance, Caylen, Tiffany and Jillian in all future endeavors. Any guesses as to which of these former WWE stars will show up in TNA?

WWE Superstars Results 09/30/10

WWE Superstars Results 09/30/10:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler of Raw were on hand to open up Superstars. Cole reminded everyone we're 72 hours away from Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. The WWE Divas of Raw were out first to start off the matches.

The Bella Twins vs. Jillian & Alicia Fox

Jillian got in the ring along with Alicia Fox and her rookie Maxine. Jillian said the rumors about her having laryngitis were false. She broke out in song singing "Love the Way You Lie" by Eminem & Rihanna. The fans booed until finally The Bella Twins came out to stop the singing. Their rookie Jamie was with them.

Cole reminded fans that Natalya won a battle royal Monday night to become #1 Contender for the WWE Divas title. During the match, the Bellas did a unique doubleteam move as they shook their hips back and forth to rattle Jillian's head. However, moments later, Alicia Fox was able to yank one of the Bellas out of the ring for a beatdown.

In the closing moments, the action broke down with all four divas in the ring. Jillian had a pinfall on one of the Bellas. The other ran over with the ref distracted by Alicia and did a Sunset Flip to take the pinfall on Jillian.

Winners: The Bella Twins win via pinfall over Alicia Fox and Jillian.

They showed a highlight recap from NXT this past Tuesday. It involved a Challenge where the divas had to push Hornswoggle around the ring in a wheelbarrow. Kaitlyn took the win for her second challenge victory. The next challenge of the night was "Diss the Diva." AJ Lee was voted the winner based on crowd response.

When Superstars returned, Cole and Lawler talked about this past Monday's Raw which featured Randy Orton versus Chris Jericho in the main event for the first time ever. On the line for Jericho was a #1 Contender spot for Orton's WWE Title.

With Sheamus watching from the ramp, Jericho had his moments where he controlled the match. However it came down to The Viper gaining serious momentum. With Jericho down, Orton dropped down to pound the mat. He was preparing for the big win, but Sheamus came into the ring to interfere. The ref called for the bell. Sheamus ended up getting DDT'd from the middle rope by Orton. As Sheamus was struggling to get himself up near the corner, Orton ran at him for the punt kick. However, Jericho snuck into the ring and hit a Codebreaker on Orton to drop him. Sheamus got out of the ring.

Meanwhile, Jericho went outside and got a steel chair. He rushed at Orton with it in the ring, but Orton avoided it, then hit the RKO. With Jericho down, Orton decided to send a message to Sheamus. He ran and delivered the Punt kick to take out Jericho. Eventually medical staff had to attend to Jericho and take him away by stretcher.

A TV commercial was shown for WWE's Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View which will arrive on Sunday October 24th at 8PM EST. The poster/graphic featured the Nexus "N" in the word "Bragging."

On Friday night, Smackdown makes its debut on its new channel, SyFy at 8PM EST.

Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were now on hand for the Smackdown portion of Superstars. They ran down the lineup of matches for Sunday's "Hell in a Cell" PPV which include John Cena vs Wade Barrett, Kane vs Undertaker in Hell in a Cell, and a Triple Threat US Title match between Daniel Bryan, John Morrison and The Miz. Also, Randy Orton steps inside Hell in a Cell where he'll defend the WWE Title against Sheamus.

Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger

During the early part of the match, Swagger managed to get Kofi down to the mat. He applied the Ankle Lock with Kofi able to flip his weight and send Swagger outside through the ropes. Swagger took his time before slipping back in under the ropes. Kofi was quick to head off Swagger's attack, and took it to him in the corner. However as he rushed, Swagger gave him the elbow. Kingston went for a flying crossbody but Swagger countered with a kick to drop him to the mat. Superstars went to commercial break.

Swagger stayed in control out of the break. He eventually grabbed Kofi's left leg and was attempting an ankle lock. Kofi once again managed to kick his way out though. Kofi staged a comeback, hitting a pendulum kick from the apron and then delivering a chop from off the corner to drop Swagger. Kofi had control and revved up for double leg drop. Swagger avoided Trouble in Paradise. Kofi came back with a flying crossbody and a near fall.

Moments later Swagger went for his running Vader Bomb splash, but Kofi got both legs up to block it. Kofi was able to avoid the Gutwrench Power Bomb and went for his Run Down finisher. Swagger countered the pinfall into the Ankle lock. Kofi was able to grab the bottom rope. Swagger refused to break the hold, so the ref disqualified him. Swagger eventually let go, and Kofi rolled to the outside. However, post match Swagger went outside and re-applied the hold like he's done to many other superstars. Kofi held his ankle while he rolled around on the floor. Several refs checked on him as Swagger cockily started up the ramp.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins due to disqualification of Jack Swagger.

WWE Superstars Results 09/09/10

WWE Superstars Results 09/09/10:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler were on hand as Raw commentators for the opening match. Cole noted that Night of Champions is approaching quickly with Raw's Six Pack Challenge for the WWE Title.

R-Truth vs. William Regal

Truth came out doing his entrance theme song rap with the crowd. William Regal came to the ring and asked for a mic, then told Truth rapping is easy, even he can do it. Regal busted his own rap which mentioned Jersey Shore among other things in his lines.

In the actual match, Truth took control after jumping up on Regal in the corner to punch away on him. He came back to blast Regal down with a clothesline for a near fall. Regal got up and hit Truth with forearms then whipped him to the corner. As Regal charged, Truth avoided him, then did his breakdance split and followed with a high kick to take Regal down. Superstars took a break with Regal out of the ring.

As the show returned, Regal was able to get a full nelson on Truth. Truth battled out and went for a sunset flip, but Regal blocked and then kept Truth down on the mat in a hold. Truth eventually stood up as Regal kept a headlock on him. Truth battled out and started punching away on Regal, then clotheslined him down. Truth used an arm toss, then went for the headscissors kick. regal avoided it and went for a small package. Truth countered it and managed to take the winning pinfall.

Winner: R-Truth wins via pinfall over William Regal.

Cole talked about how NXT Season 3 is all diva rookies. They showed highlights from Tuesday night's premiere episode featuring a dance off which Naomi won, a capture the flag challenge which Naomi won, and two matches. In one match, Kelly Kelly and Naomi defeated Maxine and Alicia Fox. In the other match, it was Primo and AJ defeating Goldust and Aksana.

Goldust was shown walking backstage on the way out for a match with Gail Kim and his NXT rookie Aksana.

Goldust & Gail Kim vs. Primo & Jillian

NXT Season 3 diva rookie Aksana accompanied Goldust and Gail Kim to the ring. A.J. accompanied Primo and Jillian.

During the match, Primo pulled the ropes open causing Gail to fall through as she ran against them. Jillian took control briefly from there, eventually slamming Gail from off the corner for a near fall. Gail eventually used a headscissor move to get away from Jillian and in came Goldust to face Primo. Goldust eventually gained a pinfall on Primo, but Jillian rushed in to kick him. The bizarre one stood up to confront her, and got slapped in the face. He did his breath of air into her face, and Gail grabbed her from behind then hit her finisher. Primo tried to attack Goldust from behind, but Goldust flipped him over, then hit his finisher.

Winner: Goldust & Gail Kim win via pinfall over Primo & Jillian.

Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were now on commentary from Smackdown. They talked about how WWE.com now offers a Poker game where fans can win prizes by competing in daily, weekly and monthly tournaments.

The Dudebusters vs. Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins

During the match, Archer took control of Trent Barretta for a bit, until Barretta managed to stage a comeback. After a knee to Archer's face in the corner, he came from against the ropes with a hip check into Archer for a near fall. Hawkins rushed in to break up the pinfall, so Croft came in to smash him down causing Hawkins to roll out of the ring.

In the closing moments, Archer rushed at Croft and took him down. Meanwhile, Barretta jumped off the corner but Archer caught him and put him up on one shoulder. Hawkins distracted the ref from the apron, but that allowed Croft to sneak in and shove Archer with Barretta still on Archer's shoulder. Barretta used the momentum to propel himself into a DDT move to take down Archer for a winning pin.

Winners: The Dudebusters win via pinfall over Hawkins and Archer.

A video package was shown about The Big Red Monster Kane and his destructive path en route to becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Striker and Grisham talked that over before showing the "Legendary" preview and "Insider" behind-the-scenes segment that has aired on Raw and NXT.

They discussed the upcoming Night of Champions PPV which includes Undertaker versus Kane for the World Championship, plus a new match featuring CM Punk against The Big Show.

Joey Mercury of the Straight Edge Society accompanied Gallows to the ring. They reviewed highlight footage from when Show faced Gallows and Punk on Smackdown and shoved Gallows into Punk on the apron. Back in the ring on Superstars, Gallows got on the mic to say he's better than everyone there. He said tonight he's going to single handedly dismantle the World's Largest athlete, the Big Show. Gallows and Mercury put a hand in the air to pledge the Straight Edge way.

Big Show vs. Luke Gallows

Show opened up strong, taking Gallows around the ring with huge punches, chops and slaps. Gallows tried to fight back but Show kept heading him off with strikes. He shoved him down near the ropes and then stood on Gallows' chest for a bit until the ref warned Show to stop. With Gallows trying to recover near the apron, Show did a running baseball slide dropkick. He did his "shhh" and then a huge slap on Gallows' chest near the barrier. As Show was climbing back in the ring, Gallows tried to get an edge but still was unable.

Show tossed Gallows across the ring, and then wound up his KO punch. As Gallows stood up, Show clocked him with the right hand punch then collected the winning pinfall. Joey Mercury, still in a arm sling, just shook his head outside the ring.

Winner: The Big Show wins via pinfall over Luke Gallows.

Raw Preview 08/23/10

The Nexus may be an even stronger unit now. Tonight's Raw will follow up last week's "exile" by Nexus of one of their seven faction members. During the show, the anonymous GM sent an email to let Nexus know they'd be in individual matches against members of Team WWE during the night. Leader Wade Barrett declared that anyone who lost their match would be out of Nexus. During the evening, Barrett, Otunga, Gabriel, Slater, Tarver and Sheffield, all picked up big wins to secure their spots in the group. However, when it came time for Darren Young to prove himself against John Cena, he wasn't able to pull off the win and tapped out to the STF. Afterwords, Nexus delivered a beatdown on Young, signaling his end as a member of the team. What will be in store next for Nexus, and will Darren Young be back on Raw?

Divas action last week saw the new Divas Champion Melina in action, as part of a six divas tag match. She teamed with Gail Kim and Eve to take on Maryse, Jillian and former champ, Alicia Fox. The match seemed under control with Eve ready to pull off a moonsault from the top rope. However, with all other divas outside the ring, Jillian was able to get up and slam Eve off the corner into a pinfall. With that, Jillian picked up a rare divas victory on Raw. Will Jillian be next in line for the Divas championship, or will Alicia Fox exercise her rematch clause?

And finally, with Night of Champions looming as WWE's next PPV, there needs to be a WWE title match scheduled. Currently, Sheamus is champion and has won via disqualification in his two title matches against Randy Orton now. Last week saw The Viper in action against Justin Gabriel, with Sheamus coming to ringside. From there, Orton went after the champ, fighting him into the audience and eventually back to ringside. A countout infuriated Orton even more, so he took out the frustrations by RKO'ing Gabriel in the ring. He then turned his attention to Sheamus, bashing him down with a chair multiple times. As it seemed Orton was heading backstage, he rushed over to where Sheamus was getting up and hit the RKO. Will all of this result in another match between Sheamus and Orton, or will the Raw GM decide it's time for another challenger?

Catch Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Is the WWE Divas Division Dead?

This past week saw Melina Perez victorious at Summerslam, capturing back the WWE Divas Championship after being out of action for weeks. Melina had suffered an injury at a house show that kept her out of action for weeks, also forcing her to vacate the Divas title. Since her injury, Maryse, Eve and then Alicia Fox all wore the title. Prior to that, the belt moved from Mickie James to Jillian, for a matter of minutes, before Melina won it.

Melina won on Sunday, but was then attacked by LayCool who were pretending to arrive to the ring to celebrate. It's clearly setting up a Melina vs one of them title match, maybe even a 2-on-1 handicap match arranged by Vickie Guerrero. LayCool are the BFF's on Smackdown who call themselves "Flawless" and share everything. To the point they gave back one of their Womens championship belts and cut the other in half. Now each of them, Layla and Michelle McCool carries half a belt to the ring. Layla is the official champ in the books though, but Vickie Guerrero allowed them to be co-champs. LayCool is probably holding those half belts until one Beth Phoenix is ready to return.

That brings us to Monday Night Raw, with a six divas tag match. It showed moments of sloppyness as realistically there just isn't the quality of in-ring diva talent as in the past. Not only that, but Jillian Hall picked up the pinfall in the match, a bigtime surprise for many fans. Is she getting a push all of a sudden, or do they just want a new contender for Melina's title on Raw, for a week or so?

Looking back, the divas were clearly better years ago, but there's reasons for that. Past diva The Fomer and first Divas Champion, Michelle M...Image via Wikipediagreats including Trish Stratus, Lita, Victoria and even Chyna, showcased much more skill. However, they were also marketed during the "not-PG era" which included a lot of sexual innuendos, shower incidents, in-ring stripping and more to appeal to the red-blooded males of the WWE Universe. Still, they had the skills in the ring to entertain, but these days it seems divas like Kelly Kelly, Eve, Tiffany, Rosa Mendes and The Bella Twins really need more training. The cream of the crop right now is Natalya (who rarely gets in the ring), Beth Phoenix, Melina, Gail Kim and Jillian. The rest need work. The major cases in point are the use of The Bellas and Rosa Mendes for mostly skit work, rather than actual wrestling. Even Maryse seems to have been demoted a bit from her days as a top diva champ, as mere eye candy on the arm of Ted Dibiase now.

Some have argued for a divas tag division to spice things up, but the regular male tag division isn't doing so well as it is now. Others believe combining the two belts (WWE Women's and Divas) might help, but it is good for storylines to have the two separate titles. The bottom line is WWE needs more development of the weaker wrestling women and more showcasing of the talented divas especially since it is trailing TNA's Knockouts in terms of their sex appeal storylines and overall better wrestling.

How would you fix the divas division? Do you think it needs to go away altogether, or can something be done to save it?

WWE Superstars Results 07/08/10

WWE Superstars results 07/08/10:

Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were on hand for commentary on the opening Raw match. Cole noted the Money in the Bank 2010 PPV is just 10 days away. The Bella Twins came to the ring dressed in matching referee style shirts and black shorts. They showed footage of how the Bellas faked out Jillian last week to win by pinfall.

Gail Kim & Yoshi Tatsu vs. Jillian & Primo

One of the Bellas was in the ring to officiate, while another was on the outside. At one point, Jillian interfered from the apron, hitting Yoshi in the back. The outside Bella came over to yell at her. In the ring, Gail Kim jumped and landed a headscissors on Primo.

At another point, Yoshi tried to crawl to make a tag to Gail. Jillian grabbed Yoshi's leg, but he jumped for the tag. Gail came in with serious momentum to keep taking down Jillian. Primo got knocked out of the ring, and Yoshi tried to go after him. Jillian grabbed him around the waist so Yoshi couldn't go. This brought the Bella ref over to pull her off. After some arguing, Jillian knocked the Bella twin down. The other Bella came in and Jillian clocked her too. Gail grabbed Jillian for the schoolboy pinfall and one of the Bellas rushed over to make the fast count, quickly giving Yoshi/Gail the win.

Winners: Gail Kim & Yoshi Tatsu win via pinfall over Jillian & Primo.

Goldust vs. Zack Ryder

The Bizarre One had the upperhand as he knocked Ryder to the outside. Smackdown took a commercial break with Ryder recovering outside.

Later in the contest, Goldust was up on the corner pounding away on Ryder. Ryder shoved him off then charged, but Goldust got the scoop slam. As Goldust was approaching near Ryder, Zack grabbed his tights and tossed Goldust against the corner turnbuckle. As Goldust stumbled back, Ryder hit the Rough Ryder for the win.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Goldust.

They showed a recap of this past week's episode of NXT Season 2. The rookies had an in-ring speaking challenge where each guy had 30 seconds to talk on a word. "Showtime" Percy Watson won the contest with his speech about glasses. Next week, Watson gets to host a special in-ring talk show on NXT.

A chair was in the ring for the next segment, Chris Masters' "Masterlock Challenge". Masters arrived to the ring. Smackdown's Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were now on hand for commentary. The Dudebusters arrived to the ring for the segment. According to the rules, the challenger sits in the chair and Masters puts the hold on. The challenger has to try to break free.

Caylen Croft decided to participate in the challenge, with Trent Barretta on the outside. After some initial time wasting, Croft sat in the chair and Masters put the hold on. The ref declared Masters the winner after several moments. Barretta rushed into the ring to talk some trash, so Masters challenged him too. Masters went to put the hold on, but Croft attacked Masters from behind. The tag team began to attack Masters 2-on-1 in the ring, hitting a finisher to leave him layed out.

When Superstars returned they showed the Raw Rebound. It covered this past Monday's consequences for Nexus- no title shots until further notice, as well as the fact the ban on contact between Nexus and WWE Superstars was lifted. John Cena and Wade Barrett were to have a handshake in the ring as a truce per the anonymous GM. Cena refused at first, then Barrett gave him a warning. Cena came over and grabbed Barrett's hand, then put him into the Attitude Adjustment. Nexus hit the ring to attack, so members of Raw's roster came to Cena's aid. They eventually cleared all of Nexus out of the ring except Darren Young. Cena grabbed him and put a STF on. The anonymous GM sent an email telling Cena because of his actions he will face all 7 members of Nexus in a handicap match next week. Cena proceeded to beat up Young around the ring.

Grisham and Striker talked about the 2010 Money in the Bank PPV matches that are scheduled so far. Right now Raw's MITB Ladder match is missing one participant, as R-Truth was injured on Raw. The Smackdwon MITB match is missing 2 participants so far.
Smackdown's Team LayCool made their way out for the main event match.

Kelly Kelly & Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

LayCool continued to dominate Tiffany late in the match, keeping her away from a tag. However, Layla missed on the leg drop which gave Tiffany the opportunity to escape. She tagged in Kelly, who came in on fire. Kelly knocked McCool outside, then had a sunset flip pin attempt. She hit a Faceplant on Layla on the mat for a pinfall, but Layla barely kicked out.

Kelly continued momentum, but McCool grabbed her from the outside of the ring. Kelly got away and was able to roll up Layla for what looked like the winning pin. However, Tiffany tried to get in the ring so the ref went to stop her. McCool got a hard kick in on Kelly's face, allowing Layla to pin her for the win.

Team LayCool celebrated in the ring with their Women's titles, while Kelly and Tiffany recovered outside the ring then backed up the ramp. Team LayCool taunted from inside the ring.

Winners: Layla and Michelle McCool win via pinfall over Kelly Kelly & Tiffany.

WWE Superstars Results 07/01/10

WWE Superstars results 07/01/10:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler were on hand to open WWE Superstars with a Raw tag match. Cole asked Lawler if he's doing ok following this past week's beatdown from Nexus. Lawler said he's doing better than he was on Monday.

Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust vs. Primo & Zack Ryder

Cole and Lawler kept talking about the Nexus throughout the start of the match, saying nobody is safe. They said there will be a big announcement about the NXT guys made on Raw by the new anonymous GM. Cole noted that he has no idea who the GM is, and can't respond to any of the emails. They talked about how from a safety standpoint the new GM is in a good position where nobody knows who is the one making the big decisions.

In the closing moments of the tag match, Yoshi Tatsu made the hot tag to come in and take care of Ryder. He chopped him down with a clothesline then hit a kick near the ropes for a near fall. Primo was in to break it up, so Goldust rushed in and took him out with a bulldog. Those two were out of the ring as Yoshi rushed Ryder in the corner. Ryder avoided him causing Yoshi to crash into the corner. As Yoshi was stumbling around, Ryder hit his Rough Ryder for the finish.

Winners: Zack Ryder & Primo win via pinfall over Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust.

They cut to highlights from Tuesday's episode of NXT on SyFy. There was a Keg Carry challenge at the start of the show which Lucky Cannon won to get immunity. In the voting, it was Titus O'Neil who came in dead last and was eliminated from the running. He gave a humble and moving farewell speech before heading backstage. It's now down to just seven rookies on NXT Season 2.

WWE Superstars returned with a promo video on upcoming Smackdown star Alberto Del Rio who discusses honesty as his best virtue and says he is the only honest man.

Nikki Bella vs. Jillian

They showed how on last week's Superstars Brie faced Jillian. Nikki switched in place of Brie to steal the victory against Jillian. Jillian got in the ring and appeared ready to sing with her headset. Instead she said she can't sing after what the Bellas did to her last week. Nikki applauded that along with the audience.

Late in the match, Nikki rushed at Jillian in the corner. Jillian moved away but Nikki jumped up onto the corner. Jillian quickly knocked her off though, causing Nikki to fall off the corner to the outside hard. With Nikki down, Brie went over to check on her. Jillian rushed to the outside and clocked Brie from behind. With both Bellas layed out, they both slowly crawled under the ring to confuse things.

One of the Bellas came back out from under the ring, she got up on the apron as the ref continued a countout. Jillian rushed over and knocked her off the apron. Meanwhile, the other Bella snuck into the ring from another side. The Bella in the ring rushed over and grabbed Jillian for the schoolboy pin to win it.

Winner: Nikki Bella wins via pinfall over Jillian.

Time for the Raw Rebound presented by WWE Mobile. They covered this past Monday's tribute to Ricky the Dragon Steamboat discussing his new 3-disc DVD about his legendary career. Jerry Lawler, Dean Malenko, Mike Rotundo, Arn Anderson and Michael PS Hayes were all there to give their thoughts. All of the members of Nexus arrived down to spoil the fun, minus leader Wade Barrett. The Nexus group soon dismantled each of the WWE legends one by one, finishing with Ricky Steamboat last. Steamboat was eventually taken away by stretcher.

Matt Striker and Todd Grisham were now on hand to cover the main event from Smackdown. They discussed the upcoming Money in the Bank 2010 PPV which will feature MITB ladder matches for Raw and Smackdown. The winner of each will get a WWE (Raw) or World Heavyweight (Smackdown) title shot at the time and place of their choosing.

Christian was introduced and came to the ring for the main event match before Superstars went to commercial break.

Christian vs. Curt Hawkins

Vance Archer accompanied Hawkins to the ring. During the match, Archer gained control after ramming Christian in the gut near the ropes then hitting a backdrop to toss him out of the ring. Vance Archer came around the ring and went after Christian but didn't hit him. The ref saw Archer and ordered him to head backstage as Superstars went to a break.

In the late stages of the match, Christian hit a missile dropkick off the corner to take down Hawkins. Hawkins barely escaped a pinfall attempt. Christian returned to the corner for the flying forearm or a bodypress, but Hawkins avoided him. Christian hit the mat hard, so Hawkins went for a quick pin, but Christian kicked out. In the corner, Christian managed to fight off Hawkins and then hit the pendulum kick to take him down. Moments later, Christian hit the Killswitch for the win.

Matt Striker and Todd Grisham were there for the opening match of Superstars, as JTG arrived to the ring getting hyped up.

JTG vs. Caylen Croft

JTG had momentum late in the match when he slammed Croft down face first from the corner. Barretta jumped up on the apron to run interference, but JTG rushed over to knock him off the apron. From there he grabbed Croft for the neckbreaker finisher to win by pinfall.

After the victory, JTG rounded up 3 kids from the audience to get in the ring and dance near the ropes like he does.

Winner: JTG wins via pinfall over Caylen Croft.

Grisham and Striker thanked Toby Mac for contributing the Fatal 4Way theme "Showstopper" available on iTunes, then reminded fans to get full coverage of the PPV with pics and results at WWE.com.

Chris Masters vs. Luke Gallows

Gallows brought SES member Serena, the anti-diva, to the ring with him. Chris Masters got control of the match, despite trying for the Masterlock and having Gallows ram him back first into the corner. Masters came back with a kick to the face when Gallows charged at him, then got up seated on the corner. Serena jumped up on the apron to distract him. This allowed Gallows to come over and kick Masters in the head, then grab him for the Gallows Pole off the corner.

Winner: Luke Gallows wins via pinfall over Chris Masters.

Striker and Grisham cut to highlights of this past Tuesday's NXT show where Cody Rhodes defeated Lucky Cannon in a 5 minute challenge. At the end of the night, Matt Striker was in the ring to ask the rookies to make their cases for next week's vote. One-by-one they had 45 seconds to speak and most of them had things to say. However, Husky Harris said he didn't need to speak, and ended up hitting Striker down to the mat, then hitting a sentaun bomb on him on the mat. The other rookies just watched, and Husky walked up the ramp with his pro Cody Rhodes.

WWE Divas The Bella Twins were shown slapping hands and walking backstage on their way out for the next match.

Lawler and Cole were now on hand for the Raw portion of the show. Jillian came out with her headset mic on to sing for the crowd. She started her usually bad singing until The Bella Twins music hit and they arrived out to stop the torture.

Brie Bella vs. Jillian

Brie was accompanied to the ring by her twin sister Nikki who watched from ringside. At one point, Jillian tossed Brie out over the top rope. Brie fell and hit the apron then the floor hard. Her sister Nikki slyly rushed over and fell on the floor next to her so Jillian and the ref wouldn't know which sister was which. However, the ref got out of the ring and patted Brie's face to realize she was sweating from the match. He ordered her to go back into the ring where Jillian kicked away on her in the corner. When the ref pulled her back, Brie rolled out of the corner and Nikki rolled in. Jillian rushed at her in the corner, but Nikki avoided it then used a schoolboy pin for the win.

Winner: Brie Bella wins via pinfall over Jillian.

A Sheamus Celtic Warrior highlight video brought the show back. The video showed various instances of the new champ from past matches when he demolished opponents.

Late in the match, Truth ducked a clothesline then hit a DDT to bring Regal to the mat for a pin attempt. Regal kicked out. As Regal got back up, Truth went for a suplex. Regal countered and tossed Truth towards the corner. However, as Regal went towards Truth, Truth came at him with the Lie Detector spinning finisher for the pinfall.

WWE Superstars recap 06.03.10

Primo Colon vs. Mark Henry

A matchup between Raw Superstars started off the show. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler were on hand for commentary. Henry used his size early to knock Primo around. Primo made a comeback but briefly, attacking Henry's leg. Henry soon recovered, shoved him to the corner then slammed him. He missed on a sit Splash, and Primo capitalized by dropkicking Henry on the mat. He failed at a pinfall but kept kicking away at Henry.

After getting shoved, Primo jumped at Henry from the corner but got batted down. Henry started to punch and headbutt away on Primo. Henry sent Primo towards the corner again, but this time he flipped over the ropes onto the apron. Primo went for a jump off the corner but Henry caught him from the air and hit World's Strongest Slam.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Primo Colon.

Gail Kim vs. Jillian Hall

It was a back and forth Raws diva battle. Jillian managed to gain control of Gail up on the corner and hit the Superplex. However, Gail kicked out of a pinfall attempt miraculously. Jillian was in shock over that and went for the bridge slide pin, but Gail countered. As Gail got up, she stuck her foot against Jillian's neck and dropped to the mat for the finisher to win it.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Jillian Hall.

Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool

Michelle was accompanied by co-women's champion, Layla. Early on, Michelle took control and tossed Tiffany to the outside. With Tiffany trying to get up near the commentators table, Michelle ran and kneed her in the head. Tiffany barely got back in the ring to beat the count. As she was getting up, the ref was checking to see if she was alright and Michelle gave her another running knee to take her down.

Tiffany came back though and after a kick to Michelle's gut ran against the ropes. She did a Sunset Flip over Michelle for a pinfall attempt. Michelle rolled through and countered, turning it into the Faithbreaker to slam Tiffany down for the pin.

Winner: Michelle McCool wins via pinfall over Tiffany.

Vickie Guerrero was backstage talking with nephew Chavo talking about his match tonight with Christian. He said he can't wait to get his hands on him. Just then, Dolph Ziggler walked in and Vickie started gushing over him. She dropped her handful of papers to watch Ziggler bend over and pick them up, then she fell against him. He asked why she wanted to see him and she said they'd just talk after the show. Vickie kept staring at him as he left, and Chavo gave her a look.

Superstars returned with an Evan Bourne promo video, then Striker and Grisham discussed his great night on Raw. They rolled highlights from the WWE NXT finale with the Triple Threat match between the 3 finalists, and the elimination of Justin Gabriel. It came down to Wade Barrett and David Otunga, with the Pros voting for Barrett to become the winner of NXT.

Christian arrived to the ring before a commercial break.

Christian vs. Chavo Guerrero

Footage was shown from last week's Smackdown when Christian and Hornswoggle won a tag match against Dolph Ziggler and Chavo. After the match, Ziggler got in the ring and jumped on Christian from behind with a sleeper hold to Vickie Guerrero's approval.

Christian gained control in this match, ultimately knocking Chavo out of the ring. Vickie Guerrero arrived out to the top of the stage with a special announcement- to make the match more competitive she was changing it to a handicap match. It would now include Dolph Ziggler as Chavo's partner in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

After a break, Chavo managed to gain the upperhand when he yanked Christian's leg out from up on the ropes, thanks to Ziggler's apron distraction tactic. From there, Ziggler and Chavo took turns dominating Christian in the ring. Vickie Guerrero was shown backstage watching the match via flatscreen. Christian started to make a comeback and had the nearfall on Ziggler. He tripped him against the middle rope and then did his standing move on Dolph's back, followed by the jump over the ropes and slap to the face. Chavo tried to attack on the outside but was knocked down. However, Ziggler managed to knock Christian down in the ring and stumbled to make a tag to Chavo.

Christian hit a move on Chavo to take him down, then ran to kick out Ziggler's leg, knocking him off the apron. He prepared for Killswitch but Chavo countered and suplexed him. He got up on the corner for the Frogsplash. Just then, Ziggler climbed back on the apron and slapped at Chavo's foot. Chavo jumped and Christian sat up, then hit Killswitch. However, Ziggler was the legal man and ran in to hit the ZigZag, then pinned Christian.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler and Chavo win via pinfall over Christian in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

WWE Superstars Recap 04.29.10

WWE Superstars recap 04.29.10

Michael Cole said it's been a controversial week in the WWE. He and Lawler agreed that the WWE Draft really shook up the landscape of the WWE this past week. They promised a full draft review after the first match. Gail Kim arrived out for the opening Raw divas match on Superstars.

Gail Kim vs. Jillian

During the match, Jillian put Gail up on her shoulders then dropped back to slam her to the mat. She had a near fall with Gail kicking out, then put a submission hold on before standing Gail up. Gail started to punch back, but Jillian knocked her down.

Late in the match, Jillian picked up Gail near the ropes, but Gail held onto the top rope then used her legs to throw Jillian. From there, the two divas started exchanging strikes, but Gail got the upperhand. She whipped Jillian to the corner and hit her with a flying clothesline. On the second charging move, Jillian moved. Gail flew back off the corner for a flying bodypress pin, but Jillian rolled through. Gail kicked out of the pinfall. Jillian did her handstand flip to ram Gail in the corner, but then missed on her next move, hitting the post shoulder first. Gail grabbed her by the arm and stuck a foot against Jillian's neck before dropping down to the mat. Gail scores the pinfall win.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Jillian.

They reviewed Monday night Raw's 3 hour show which included the 2010 WWE Draft. Matches were held between the members of Raw and Smackdown to determine which brand got the next draft picks. Each brand got 4. Kelly Kelly, Big Show, Christian and Kofi Kingston were drafted to Smackdown. R-Truth, John Morrison, Edge and Chris Jericho to Raw. During the main event Triple Threat match for the #1 Contender's spot, Orton, Batista and Sheamus fought it out. Orton hit the RKO and was ready for the pin, until new Raw acquisition Edge came to the ring and speared Orton, allowing Batista to score the winning pinfall.

Michael Cole said to check out WWE.com for full details on how the rest of the draft went. Later tonight, the new Unified Tag champs, Hart Dynasty, will be in action.

Primo vs. Zack Ryder

Rosa Mendes accompanied Ryder to the ring. Cole said Rosa has been drafted to Smackdown so it will be interesting to see how their relationship goes in the next few weeks.

During this contest, Primo managed to gain some momentum when he dumped Ryder out over the top rope. Ryder hit chin first on the apron then fell to the outside. Primo prepared to run and jump out onto him but Ryder got up and blocked it. Primo grabbed the top rope and jumped out onto Ryder anyway, crashing to the floor. The two got back in the ring for more of a fight. Ryder suplexed Primo gut first onto the top rope, then delivered a high knee to knock him to the outside. Superstars went to commercial break.

Superstars returned with Ryder locking a submission hold on Primo to ground him, as Rosa looked on from ringside. Primo tried for a comeback as he ran against the ropes, but Zach hit him with a Flapjack for a near fall. Later still, Ryder missed on a leg drop from off the corner. Primo was still down but kicked Ryder in the face with both legs, then rolled him up for several near falls. Primo continued to be in control but couldn't capture the pinfall. In the closing moments, Ryder yanked Primo by his leg off the corner, then hit the Zack Attack for the win. The commentators claim it was due to Rosa Mendes providing a distraction to Primo from ringside.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Primo.

Superstars returned with highlights from the Extreme Rules Street Fight which Sheamus won against Triple H. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker of Smackdown were on hand to review this past Monday night Raw's unified tag team title match. Hart Dynasty was able to defeat ShowMiz when Kidd locked a Sharpshooter on The Miz. After the match, Big Show clocked The Miz with a huge knockout punch.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The DudeBusters

Grisham noted that Hart Dynasty and Natalya all ended up being drafted over to Raw in the Supplemental draft.

Midway through the match, Barretta baited DH Smith into going after him. Smith kept his attention on Barretta outside the ring, while the legal man Croft came over and hit Smith out of the ring. Barretta ran over and smashed Smith down outside the ring as the ref was distracted by Croft inside.

When Superstars returned from commercial, Barretta had Smith down in a headlock. Smith managed to break away eventually and tagged in Kidd who had serious momentum. Croft and Barretta regained control when Barretta DDT'd Kidd on the side apron. Croft tagged back in and had the near fall in the ring, then started to use the headlock to wear Kidd down. The DudeBusters continued to keep Kidd from tagging out and tried to wear him down near their corner.

In the closing moments, Kidd was down in the corner. Barretta charged at him, but Kidd got up and tossed Barretta face first into the ringpost. Kidd slowlsy crawled over, then jumped to make the hot tag to Smith. Croft tagged in as well, but was taken down several times by Smith, who also clocked Barretta off the apron. Croft hit a chinbusters, but then made the mistake of putting his head down. Smith grabbed him for a standing suplex, letting the blood flow down to Croft's head before completing it. Croft and Barretta started to leave outside the ring, but Natalya came over and slapped Barretta in the face.

Kidd came into the ring and then ran against the opposite ropes. DH Smith helped launch him up over the top rope, and Kidd crashed down onto The DudeBusters. Back in the ring, Smith put Croft into a Bear Hug. Tyson Kidd jumped off the ropes to complete the Hart Attack finisher.

Winners: The Hart Dynasty wins via pinfall over The DudeBusters Croft & Barretta.

WWE Superstars Recap 03.18.10

WWE Superstars Recap 03.18.10

Right after the opening video, Kane's pyro exploded to bring the Big Red Monster to the ring. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were on hand for the commentary. They discussed how the intensity is starting to rise for Wrestlemania 26.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Kane

The Gold Standard and Big Red Monster will be just two of the participants in Wrestlemania 26's MITB Ladder match. Tonight the two Smackdown stars locked up on Superstars. Before the first commercial, Kane had Shelton down on the mat and climbed the corner. Shelton got up from the mat, then ran and jumped up to kick Kane, sending him off the corner to the outside floor. From there, Shelton got on the side apron and jumped up to springboard reverse flip off the top rope onto Kane on the outside.

In the closing moments of the match, Kane hit a sidewalk slam, then jumped off the corner to clothesline Shelton down. He set up for the Chokeslam, but Shelton was close enough to grab the ropes. Kane kicked him in the gut them sent him against the ropes. As Shelton came back, Kane tossed him up and Shelton grabbed Kane's neck to turn it into a DDT for the nearfall. Shelton ran at Kane for a Paydirt, but Kane shoved him away. Kane went for the Chokeslam, but Shelton fought out. Shelton went for a kick, but Kane grabbed his leg, so Shelton spun and kicked Kane down with the other leg. Finally after several more exchanges, Kane slapped on the chokeslam and hit it for the win.

Winner: Kane wins via pinfall over Shelton Benjamin.

Superstars returned with the Wrestlemania XXVI recall from 1998 in Boston, MA. Pete Rose was dissing the Boston Red Sox and called the crowd the "city of losers". Just then, Kane arrived to the ring with Paul Bearer. Kane grabbed Rose and hit him with a Tombstone Piledriver to the crowd's delight.

Michael Cole announced that Pete Rose will be the final Raw guest host before Wrestlemania 26.

The Bella Twins vs. Katie Lea & Jillian Hall

Katie Lea took a mic and announced her psychic powers said that they were going to beat the Bellas 1-2- . Before she could say 3, Jillian grabbed the mic and said she loved that song and was going to sing it. The Bella came out mid song to interrupt her awful singing.

During the match, the camera got a shot of the Bella Twins' mother who Lawler pointed. The Bellas hit several doubleteam maneuvers on both Jillian and Katie during the match. At one point, Brie was up on the corner with Jillian in the ring. Katie Lea came over on the apron, and Brie kicked her off. Brie grabbed Jillian's hair and got on her shoulders from the corner, but Jillian dropped her onto the mat.

In the closing moments, Katie Lea came in to break up a pin. As she went against the ropes, one of the Bellas grabbed her leg, and the other dropkicked her out of the ring. Jillian tried to plant the legal Bella face first on the mat, but the Bella blocked, then got on Jillian, putting her legs on Jillians to secure the pinfall.

Winners: The Bella Twins win via pinfall over Katie Lea & Jillian.

A Chris Jericho World Heavyweight Champion promo video was shown, with Jericho saying he's the best in the world at what he does. Lawler and Cole said Jericho has his work cut out from him at Wrestlemania 26.

Next up was Raw Rebound which featured the Vince McMahon & Bret Hart contract signing presided over by guest host Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin announced that Stu Hart will go into the WWE Hall of Fame. Bret Hart asked for the Wrestlemania 26 match to be No Holds Barred. Vince agreed to it and both men signed off. Bret revealed at the end of the show that his leg was never really broken, as he took the cast off. Bret said tonight Vince screwed Vince, then beat McMahon with the cast to leave him down in the ring.

Lawler and Cole reviewed the lineup of matches for Wrestlemania 26 including Bret Hart versus Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (Career vs. The Streak) and John Cena versus Batista for the WWE Championship.

Jack Swagger arrived to the ring for the main event before Superstars went to commercial.

Christian, Mark Henry & Yoshi Tatsu vs. William Regal, Jack Swagger & Zack Ryder

In a bit of a Money in the Bank preview between two favorites to win, Christian and Jack Swagger lead their respective teams in this Raw contest.

Early on in the match, Ryder backed over to his corner to tag out, bringing in Swagger. Christian backed up and made a tag to Henry. Henry started to dominate things. Zack Ryder came in to try to do a double suplex with Swagger, but Henry blocked it then suplexed both guys instead. All of the heels got tossed out of the ring right before a commercial.

Christian and Regal were fighting after a commercial break. Swagger came in to continue the heels' working over of Christian. Captain Charisma eventually made the tag out to Yoshi, who came in to take an eventual beating from Swagger. Regal hit a cheap shot on Yoshi from the apron as the ref was distracted. Ryder tagged in for a bit, then Regal next as the heels tried to keep Yoshi away from a tag.

Regal had a near fall after slamming Yoshi back. Swagger came back in yet again for a bit of work, punching Yoshi in the corner. Ryder and Regal kicked Yoshi was the ref was occupied talking to Swagger. Swagger went for his splash move off the corner with Yoshi sticking both knees up. Yoshi crawled over to make the hot tag to Christian, but Ryder tagged in as well. Ryder tried to go off the corner, but Christian hit him with a Flapjack. Christian was able to knock Swagger out of the ring, then Regal off the apron. Christian went for a Crossbody on Christian but missed. Ryder hit a neckbreaker and had a near fall.

Ryder went for Zack Attack, but Christian turned it into a Powerbomb. Henry, Yoshi, Regal and Swagger all fought in the ring then moved to the outside. Christian gained the upperhand after a flying elbow to Ryder's jaw. He got up and hit Killswitch to win it.

Winners: Mark Henry, Yoshi Tatsu & Christian win via pinfall over Jack Swagger, William Regal & Zack Ryder.

Cole and Lawler reviewed the match finish via replay. Christian, Henry and Yoshi all celebrated in the ring as Ryder, Rosa, Regal and Swagger backed up the ramp angrily.

Raw Revelations: The Divas Debacle

You could tell that Nancy O'Dell and Maria Menounos are used to crazy antics, interviews with celebrities and even a bit of acting as they were part of the latest Raw celebrity guest hosting gigs. Monday night's show was done well with them, including probably the best in-ring performance of a guest host since Shaq, with Maria Menounos looking like she could join the divas and be a competitor. She had some nice hair tosses with Alicia Fox, as well as a Sunset Flip, and played a part in her diva team's win when she yanked Rosa Mendes down against the top rope. You've gotta give her credit for getting in there and risking injury like she did with some of those moves. Nancy O'Dell was a fearless hostess as well, and played a good part in the show with several of her backstage encounters. Maria also was part of an interview segment with Legacy, and she actually was one of the better backstage interviewers, thanks to her job experience.

Speaking of divas, the whole Divas Championship and trade scenario was bizarre. It started with an unexplained title match with Jillian Hall as challenger. It's understandable that champions give impromptu title matches, but in the past weeks and month's, they had all sorts of diva matches to earn that spot. Alicia Fox had a shot at the last PPV, and then Jillian Hall gets one immediately, out of nowhere. Apparently she had some big house show wins. To top that off, her win was one of the shortest title reigns in WWE history, because Nancy O'Dell had made a divas trade during the weekend which brought Melina to Raw....and guess what, she got an immediate title shot. Question, why not just allow Melina to challenge Mickie? I realize they're both face divas, but John Morrison did defeat Rey Mysterio in a friendly match for the IC title on Smackdown...

The divas trade is another strange thing. Eve Torres was a regular with Cryme Tyme on Smackdown, but now comes over to Raw. Maybe she'll manage MVP or Primo? Smackdown probably benefited most from the move which brings two of Raw's best divas to its show in Mickie James and Beth Phoenix. ECW gains Rosa Mendes who had been on the losing end of several Raw bouts. Oh and the Bella Twins (ECW) are officially back on Raw...In case you didn't see them in segments with Cedric the Entertainer, Al Sharpton and as Barker's beauties...on Raw.

But enough about the divas, what was up with the DX segments featuring Shawn Michaels by cell phone? Sure it was unique, but hard to hear what Michaels was saying at some moments. You can only imagine how the live audience felt because a crackling cell phone call must be tough to distinguish live. Shawn Michaels explained his reason for not being there as due to his daughter being sick, and that's most likely true. If nothing else it proved HBK is the family man he claims to be.

We found out most of the Raw side of the teams for Bragging Rights. Originally it seemed as if they were going to have the winners from the PPV matches in the tag match, but maybe it was just explained bad by Michael Cole to start with. They held five qualifying matches on Raw for the team spots. One interesting match saw Big Show go up against his partner Chris Jericho, and defeat him by countout. Could there be trouble in paradise for those two leading to a rift soon? Triple H & Shawn Michaels head up a team that features Big Show, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston and Jack Swagger. The final participant is probably Mark Henry, unless Chris Masters beats him on WWE Superstars. Team Smackdown so far is just Chris Jericho, with his team probably being formed on Friday's show.

Another bit of dissension in the ranks seemed to come from Legacy. They were part of a Triple Threat match along with John Cena. When Randy Orton came to ringside, it caused a distraction to both Cena and Dibiase, allowing Cody Rhodes to pin his partner for the victory. Dibiase was not too happy with it, so Orton had to try to make peace. Later in the night, Legacy was forced to take on the team of Cena & Orton. Legacy pulled off the win by pinning Orton. Is this a sign of possible break up between the Legacy team? Should Orton lose at Bragging Rights we just might see Legacy implode, and Dibiase/Rhodes begin a face turn.

Next week is being billed as what could be John Cena's final Raw. Orton said he made a call to Snoop Dogg (didn't know they were pals), and they agreed Cena should face HHH in his final match on the show. If HHH comes away with a win then expect him to be the #1 Competitor for John Cena (or Orton) when he comes to Raw as WWE champ after Bragging Rights. After HHH, there's really just Shawn Michaels and probably Jack Swagger.

I'm going to venture a guess that Sheamus makes his way to Raw or Smackdown soon. Of course he may get into the ECW title picture first, but he seems like the type of bigger contender they need on the primetime shows. Sometimes you have to wonder what WWE really gains from holding these talents away from Raw or Smackdown. Jack Swagger had a nice run on ECW before he was brought to Raw, but maybe he would have been able to form a bigger heel presence if he started on Raw/Smackdown.

The Miz and John Morrison will face off at Bragging Rights in a champion vs champion non-title bout. It's funny but not too long ago on ECW, John Morrison made comments about Miz never amounting to much more in his career. Not long after, Miz beat Kofi Kingston for the US Title on Raw. I'm expecting Morrison takes this match at Bragging Rights just for talent's sake, but it's a good little inter-brand feud match.

So next week rapper Snoop Dogg, another huge WWE fan will host Raw. It'll be interesting to see if Snoop puts himself into the ring like Shaq, Seth Green, Maria Menounos and Cedric the Entertainer have for matches. Snoop was involved in a previous Wrestlemania encounter along with Santino Marella, so he's no stranger to being in the ring.

Jillian's Christmas Album is for Real

Jillian Hall Christmas Yes Santa there really is a Jillian Hall Christmas album for you to deliver. Well really it's a digital download album, but it does exist. Many fans may have taken this for a joke on Raw last night, and still should, but Jillian Hall actually has a 5 song EP. A Jingle With Jillian was released on iTunes Tuesday 12/11/07. It's available for $4.95 and you get 5 Christmas "songs", which are performed by the diva. Or you can buy your favorite individual "songs" from it for 99 cents a piece. Use the term "song" very loosely though, as fans of the holiday may be offended by Jillian's versions of the timeless classics.

A Jingle With Jillian tracklist:

1. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
2. Jingle Bell Rock
3. I'll Be Home for Christmas
4. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
5. The Christmas Song

Listen with iTunes
Jillian & WWE - A Jingle With Jillian - EP

Having previewed the 5 tracks, you'd have to ask the WWE why? We've all heard Jillian screeching and sounding plain awful as she delivers live songs to WWE crowds on Smackdown, ECW and Raw. It's hard to say if there was really a need to sell them. More importantly would you pay for Jillian's singing? The only purpose you might have in buying is if you are the ultimate WWE fanatic, or just want to irritate nearby parents, brothers, sisters, friends and neighbors. However, WWE Characters the Blog advises you that it might be best to spread holiday happiness without Jillian's tunes.

The Collapse of Teddy Long

On Friday's Smackdown, the wedding of WWE Diva Kristal and Smackdown General Manager Teddy Long seemed doomed as it kept trying to move forward. Despite the beautiful scenery, the great musical performance of Jagged Edge and the attendance of many of Teddy & Kristal's friends, constant interruptions occurred. First, WWE Diva & bad singer Jillian Hall decided to show up and serenade the wedding after Jagged Edge finished their performance. Then there was the Godfather Pimp showing up with his "Ho Train" to parade them into the ring, reminding Teddy of the good old days. Most of the male guests at the wedding proceeded to leave the ceremony, after jumping on board the Ho Train. Throw in Hornswoggle behaving like a little kid, and the ceremony had its full share of problems. But then the unthinkable happened with Teddy Long collapsing and paramedics rushing to the ring to bring him out to an ambulance.

WWE.com has provided the following update on the Smackdown GM's status:

"After being rushed to a local medical facility, Long’s doctors claim the groom was suffering from hypertension, which was worsened by the ingestion of the erectile dysfunction medicine Viagra.

“Mr. Long then suffered a myocardial infraction with cardio myopathy,” claims WWE’s Dr. Ferdinand Rios. “As a result, he is currently semi-comatose.”

According to Dr. Rios, Long has been slipping in and out of consciousness since early Saturday morning. At the moment, a long-term diagnosis is difficult to make. Long is currently under around-the-clock supervision, as the next few days are critical."

What's interesting to remember are the following things from Smackdown:

- A while back on Smackdown, Vickie Guerrero had a private discussion with Kristal during an interview. We weren't made aware of their "plan" or what was discussed.

- Kristal became intimate and close with Teddy and helped Vickie Guerrero land the assistant GM job on Smackdown. Vickie has seemed to be a fair Assistant GM so far, but you'd have to think she had a trick up her sleeve. Is there a wrestler she will help now? Chavo would be the first to come to mind.

- Finally, a few weeks ago, Vickie handed Teddy a blue pill as a gift, which was supposed to be Viagara. What was it really though?

So the questions loom as Teddy Long is still in the hospital. W It brings up another "near death" storyline as well, this time for the main guy on Smackdown. With Teddy sidelined, we can only speculate what exactly Kristal and Vickie might have in store for Smackdown. If the two women become in charge of the show, the Smackdown roster could be in for some trouble.
