WWE Releases Melina, Kozlov, Masters, DH Smith & Gail Kim

WWE made several big cuts on Friday to the rosters of Raw, Smackdown, Superstars and NXT. The latest to be released from their duties with the company and wished well in future endeavors: Vladimir Kozlov, Chris Masters, Melina, Gail Kim and DH Smith.

While none of those released were in pursuit of any major championship gold, it seems Kozlov and Masters were semi-important in current roles. Masters had seemed to be on the upswing with victories over the likes of Drew McIntyre, Tyler Reks and Jack Swagger. It may have been that WWE was trying to audition Masters to see if the fans would get behind him enough. Masters just recently lost via submission to Jack Swagger on Superstars this past week.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Kozlov had two victories this past week. On NXT he defeated JTG, and then on Superstars he defeated Primo. Quite a way to go out for the Moscow Mauler, who is a former tag champion. He was involved in a mini-feud with JTG on NXT, and was a former pro mentor. Apparently, WWE had no more use for the big man, which means he'll probably wind up in TNA with the others.

Gail Kim, Melina and DH Smith. There's not much to be said of them right now as WWE just wasn't using them much at all. Every once in a while they'd show up in a match, but weren't part of any interesting stories or plots. All of these released superstars and divas were title holders at one point during their careers though, and are likely to show up with TNA at some point.

Best of luck to all five competitors with their future work, because once again WWE's loss is TNA's gain!

The good news is there are still plenty of WWE Superstars and Divas working. One of which is Maryse, as seen in her latest photo shoot video (HOT)!

WWE Superstars Results 03/24/11

WWE Superstars Results 3/24/11:

Here are the quick results for Thursday night's episode of WWE Superstars.

Chris Masters defeat Tyler Reks. Tyler controlled the majority of the match but Masters ended up getting the win following the Master Lock. Tyler worked on Masters' leg throughout.

They showed highlights from Tuesday night's premiere episode featuring a dance off which Naomi won, a capture the flag challenge which Naomi won, and two matches. In one match, Kelly Kelly and Naomi defeated Maxine and Alicia Fox. In the other match, it was Primo and AJ defeating Goldust and Aksana.

Goldust was shown walking backstage on the way out for a match with Gail Kim and his NXT rookie Aksana.

Goldust & Gail Kim vs. Primo & Jillian

NXT Season 3 diva rookie Aksana accompanied Goldust and Gail Kim to the ring. A.J. accompanied Primo and Jillian.

During the match, Primo pulled the ropes open causing Gail to fall through as she ran against them. Jillian took control briefly from there, eventually slamming Gail from off the corner for a near fall. Gail eventually used a headscissor move to get away from Jillian and in came Goldust to face Primo. Goldust eventually gained a pinfall on Primo, but Jillian rushed in to kick him. The bizarre one stood up to confront her, and got slapped in the face. He did his breath of air into her face, and Gail grabbed her from behind then hit her finisher. Primo tried to attack Goldust from behind, but Goldust flipped him over, then hit his finisher.

Winner: Goldust & Gail Kim win via pinfall over Primo & Jillian.

Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were now on commentary from Smackdown. They talked about how WWE.com now offers a Poker game where fans can win prizes by competing in daily, weekly and monthly tournaments.

The Dudebusters vs. Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins

During the match, Archer took control of Trent Barretta for a bit, until Barretta managed to stage a comeback. After a knee to Archer's face in the corner, he came from against the ropes with a hip check into Archer for a near fall. Hawkins rushed in to break up the pinfall, so Croft came in to smash him down causing Hawkins to roll out of the ring.

In the closing moments, Archer rushed at Croft and took him down. Meanwhile, Barretta jumped off the corner but Archer caught him and put him up on one shoulder. Hawkins distracted the ref from the apron, but that allowed Croft to sneak in and shove Archer with Barretta still on Archer's shoulder. Barretta used the momentum to propel himself into a DDT move to take down Archer for a winning pin.

Winners: The Dudebusters win via pinfall over Hawkins and Archer.

A video package was shown about The Big Red Monster Kane and his destructive path en route to becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Striker and Grisham talked that over before showing the "Legendary" preview and "Insider" behind-the-scenes segment that has aired on Raw and NXT.

They discussed the upcoming Night of Champions PPV which includes Undertaker versus Kane for the World Championship, plus a new match featuring CM Punk against The Big Show.

Joey Mercury of the Straight Edge Society accompanied Gallows to the ring. They reviewed highlight footage from when Show faced Gallows and Punk on Smackdown and shoved Gallows into Punk on the apron. Back in the ring on Superstars, Gallows got on the mic to say he's better than everyone there. He said tonight he's going to single handedly dismantle the World's Largest athlete, the Big Show. Gallows and Mercury put a hand in the air to pledge the Straight Edge way.

Big Show vs. Luke Gallows

Show opened up strong, taking Gallows around the ring with huge punches, chops and slaps. Gallows tried to fight back but Show kept heading him off with strikes. He shoved him down near the ropes and then stood on Gallows' chest for a bit until the ref warned Show to stop. With Gallows trying to recover near the apron, Show did a running baseball slide dropkick. He did his "shhh" and then a huge slap on Gallows' chest near the barrier. As Show was climbing back in the ring, Gallows tried to get an edge but still was unable.

Show tossed Gallows across the ring, and then wound up his KO punch. As Gallows stood up, Show clocked him with the right hand punch then collected the winning pinfall. Joey Mercury, still in a arm sling, just shook his head outside the ring.

Winner: The Big Show wins via pinfall over Luke Gallows.

WWE Superstars Results 07/08/10

WWE Superstars results 07/08/10:

Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were on hand for commentary on the opening Raw match. Cole noted the Money in the Bank 2010 PPV is just 10 days away. The Bella Twins came to the ring dressed in matching referee style shirts and black shorts. They showed footage of how the Bellas faked out Jillian last week to win by pinfall.

Gail Kim & Yoshi Tatsu vs. Jillian & Primo

One of the Bellas was in the ring to officiate, while another was on the outside. At one point, Jillian interfered from the apron, hitting Yoshi in the back. The outside Bella came over to yell at her. In the ring, Gail Kim jumped and landed a headscissors on Primo.

At another point, Yoshi tried to crawl to make a tag to Gail. Jillian grabbed Yoshi's leg, but he jumped for the tag. Gail came in with serious momentum to keep taking down Jillian. Primo got knocked out of the ring, and Yoshi tried to go after him. Jillian grabbed him around the waist so Yoshi couldn't go. This brought the Bella ref over to pull her off. After some arguing, Jillian knocked the Bella twin down. The other Bella came in and Jillian clocked her too. Gail grabbed Jillian for the schoolboy pinfall and one of the Bellas rushed over to make the fast count, quickly giving Yoshi/Gail the win.

Winners: Gail Kim & Yoshi Tatsu win via pinfall over Jillian & Primo.

Goldust vs. Zack Ryder

The Bizarre One had the upperhand as he knocked Ryder to the outside. Smackdown took a commercial break with Ryder recovering outside.

Later in the contest, Goldust was up on the corner pounding away on Ryder. Ryder shoved him off then charged, but Goldust got the scoop slam. As Goldust was approaching near Ryder, Zack grabbed his tights and tossed Goldust against the corner turnbuckle. As Goldust stumbled back, Ryder hit the Rough Ryder for the win.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Goldust.

They showed a recap of this past week's episode of NXT Season 2. The rookies had an in-ring speaking challenge where each guy had 30 seconds to talk on a word. "Showtime" Percy Watson won the contest with his speech about glasses. Next week, Watson gets to host a special in-ring talk show on NXT.

A chair was in the ring for the next segment, Chris Masters' "Masterlock Challenge". Masters arrived to the ring. Smackdown's Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were now on hand for commentary. The Dudebusters arrived to the ring for the segment. According to the rules, the challenger sits in the chair and Masters puts the hold on. The challenger has to try to break free.

Caylen Croft decided to participate in the challenge, with Trent Barretta on the outside. After some initial time wasting, Croft sat in the chair and Masters put the hold on. The ref declared Masters the winner after several moments. Barretta rushed into the ring to talk some trash, so Masters challenged him too. Masters went to put the hold on, but Croft attacked Masters from behind. The tag team began to attack Masters 2-on-1 in the ring, hitting a finisher to leave him layed out.

When Superstars returned they showed the Raw Rebound. It covered this past Monday's consequences for Nexus- no title shots until further notice, as well as the fact the ban on contact between Nexus and WWE Superstars was lifted. John Cena and Wade Barrett were to have a handshake in the ring as a truce per the anonymous GM. Cena refused at first, then Barrett gave him a warning. Cena came over and grabbed Barrett's hand, then put him into the Attitude Adjustment. Nexus hit the ring to attack, so members of Raw's roster came to Cena's aid. They eventually cleared all of Nexus out of the ring except Darren Young. Cena grabbed him and put a STF on. The anonymous GM sent an email telling Cena because of his actions he will face all 7 members of Nexus in a handicap match next week. Cena proceeded to beat up Young around the ring.

Grisham and Striker talked about the 2010 Money in the Bank PPV matches that are scheduled so far. Right now Raw's MITB Ladder match is missing one participant, as R-Truth was injured on Raw. The Smackdwon MITB match is missing 2 participants so far.
Smackdown's Team LayCool made their way out for the main event match.

Kelly Kelly & Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

LayCool continued to dominate Tiffany late in the match, keeping her away from a tag. However, Layla missed on the leg drop which gave Tiffany the opportunity to escape. She tagged in Kelly, who came in on fire. Kelly knocked McCool outside, then had a sunset flip pin attempt. She hit a Faceplant on Layla on the mat for a pinfall, but Layla barely kicked out.

Kelly continued momentum, but McCool grabbed her from the outside of the ring. Kelly got away and was able to roll up Layla for what looked like the winning pin. However, Tiffany tried to get in the ring so the ref went to stop her. McCool got a hard kick in on Kelly's face, allowing Layla to pin her for the win.

Team LayCool celebrated in the ring with their Women's titles, while Kelly and Tiffany recovered outside the ring then backed up the ramp. Team LayCool taunted from inside the ring.

Winners: Layla and Michelle McCool win via pinfall over Kelly Kelly & Tiffany.

Yoshi Tatsu & Goldust vs. Zack Ryder & Primo

Cole and Lawler discussed Goldust/Yoshi having success as a tag team on ECW, earning a tag title shot at one point. They also brought up Ryder getting a hit put on him by Ashton Kucher involving Alicia Fox, and Yoshi winning a 26-man Battle Royal at WM26.

In the match, Yoshi Tatsu tossed Primo to the outside, but Primo took control once they were both out there right before Superstars took a break. After the break, it was the heels dominating Yoshi, until he eventually escaped to tag in Goldust.

Goldust came in on fire and had the near fall on Ryder, but Primo made the save. Yoshi came in and got suplexed over the top rope by Primo. Goldust rushed over to clothesline Primo out, but turning his back on Ryder was costly. Ryder ran at Goldust and hit the Rough Ryder for the win.

Winners: Zack Ryder & Primo win via pinfall over Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu.

Back to Superstars, it was Smackdown's Todd Grisham and Matt Striker on commentary. They began to discuss the NXT invasion that happened on Monday Night Raw, Viewer's Choice Night. Striker said some people say it's the way to make an impact, but not how he was taught. He said if you want to make an impact do it in the ring, face-to-face, not in a cowardly way. They replayed highlight footage of what went down with the NXT Season 1 guys attacking John Cena, CM Punk, Gallows, Justin Roberts, referees, The Fink, Jerry Lawler and destroying the ring with its surrounding set up.

Kofi Kingston vs. Luke Gallows

Kofi came down to the ring first along with his NXT rookie Mike McGillicutty. Gallows was accompanied to the ring by only Serena, no CM Punk.

Striker kept talking about the NXT attack on Raw, asking why they would go after guys like Justin Roberts or the timekeeper. Striker also said the WWE security was overwhelmed by the attack from the "NXT graduates".

Kofi managed to kick Gallows off the apron. Gallows went over to say something to Serena, but as he walked back towards the ring, Kofi jumped off the apron on him with the crossbody. Kofi was all riled up as Superstars went to commerical break. After break, Superstars returned in progress with Kofi going for a pin. Gallows escaped and regained control as Mike McGillicutty looked on from ringside.

Gallows continued to have the upperhand, catching Kofi on a crossbody and hitting a fallaway slam. In the closing moments, Gallows missed on a rushing move on Kofi in the corner. Kofi managed to knock Gallows down and hit the double Boom leg drop. He set up for Trouble in Paradise, but instead ran and jumped on Gallows in the corner for a series of punches. Gallows responded with a big boot kick as Kofi ran against the ropes. Moments later, Gallows held onto the ropes and avoided Trouble in Paradise. He signaled for the Gallows Pole, but Kofi blocked and countered with SOS to win the match.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over Luke Gallows.

Primo Colon vs. Mark Henry

A matchup between Raw Superstars started off the show. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler were on hand for commentary. Henry used his size early to knock Primo around. Primo made a comeback but briefly, attacking Henry's leg. Henry soon recovered, shoved him to the corner then slammed him. He missed on a sit Splash, and Primo capitalized by dropkicking Henry on the mat. He failed at a pinfall but kept kicking away at Henry.

After getting shoved, Primo jumped at Henry from the corner but got batted down. Henry started to punch and headbutt away on Primo. Henry sent Primo towards the corner again, but this time he flipped over the ropes onto the apron. Primo went for a jump off the corner but Henry caught him from the air and hit World's Strongest Slam.

Winner: Mark Henry wins via pinfall over Primo Colon.

Gail Kim vs. Jillian Hall

It was a back and forth Raws diva battle. Jillian managed to gain control of Gail up on the corner and hit the Superplex. However, Gail kicked out of a pinfall attempt miraculously. Jillian was in shock over that and went for the bridge slide pin, but Gail countered. As Gail got up, she stuck her foot against Jillian's neck and dropped to the mat for the finisher to win it.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Jillian Hall.

Tiffany vs. Michelle McCool

Michelle was accompanied by co-women's champion, Layla. Early on, Michelle took control and tossed Tiffany to the outside. With Tiffany trying to get up near the commentators table, Michelle ran and kneed her in the head. Tiffany barely got back in the ring to beat the count. As she was getting up, the ref was checking to see if she was alright and Michelle gave her another running knee to take her down.

Tiffany came back though and after a kick to Michelle's gut ran against the ropes. She did a Sunset Flip over Michelle for a pinfall attempt. Michelle rolled through and countered, turning it into the Faithbreaker to slam Tiffany down for the pin.

Winner: Michelle McCool wins via pinfall over Tiffany.

Vickie Guerrero was backstage talking with nephew Chavo talking about his match tonight with Christian. He said he can't wait to get his hands on him. Just then, Dolph Ziggler walked in and Vickie started gushing over him. She dropped her handful of papers to watch Ziggler bend over and pick them up, then she fell against him. He asked why she wanted to see him and she said they'd just talk after the show. Vickie kept staring at him as he left, and Chavo gave her a look.

Superstars returned with an Evan Bourne promo video, then Striker and Grisham discussed his great night on Raw. They rolled highlights from the WWE NXT finale with the Triple Threat match between the 3 finalists, and the elimination of Justin Gabriel. It came down to Wade Barrett and David Otunga, with the Pros voting for Barrett to become the winner of NXT.

Christian arrived to the ring before a commercial break.

Christian vs. Chavo Guerrero

Footage was shown from last week's Smackdown when Christian and Hornswoggle won a tag match against Dolph Ziggler and Chavo. After the match, Ziggler got in the ring and jumped on Christian from behind with a sleeper hold to Vickie Guerrero's approval.

Christian gained control in this match, ultimately knocking Chavo out of the ring. Vickie Guerrero arrived out to the top of the stage with a special announcement- to make the match more competitive she was changing it to a handicap match. It would now include Dolph Ziggler as Chavo's partner in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

After a break, Chavo managed to gain the upperhand when he yanked Christian's leg out from up on the ropes, thanks to Ziggler's apron distraction tactic. From there, Ziggler and Chavo took turns dominating Christian in the ring. Vickie Guerrero was shown backstage watching the match via flatscreen. Christian started to make a comeback and had the nearfall on Ziggler. He tripped him against the middle rope and then did his standing move on Dolph's back, followed by the jump over the ropes and slap to the face. Chavo tried to attack on the outside but was knocked down. However, Ziggler managed to knock Christian down in the ring and stumbled to make a tag to Chavo.

Christian hit a move on Chavo to take him down, then ran to kick out Ziggler's leg, knocking him off the apron. He prepared for Killswitch but Chavo countered and suplexed him. He got up on the corner for the Frogsplash. Just then, Ziggler climbed back on the apron and slapped at Chavo's foot. Chavo jumped and Christian sat up, then hit Killswitch. However, Ziggler was the legal man and ran in to hit the ZigZag, then pinned Christian.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler and Chavo win via pinfall over Christian in a 2-on-1 handicap match.

WWE Superstars Recap 04.29.10

WWE Superstars recap 04.29.10

Michael Cole said it's been a controversial week in the WWE. He and Lawler agreed that the WWE Draft really shook up the landscape of the WWE this past week. They promised a full draft review after the first match. Gail Kim arrived out for the opening Raw divas match on Superstars.

Gail Kim vs. Jillian

During the match, Jillian put Gail up on her shoulders then dropped back to slam her to the mat. She had a near fall with Gail kicking out, then put a submission hold on before standing Gail up. Gail started to punch back, but Jillian knocked her down.

Late in the match, Jillian picked up Gail near the ropes, but Gail held onto the top rope then used her legs to throw Jillian. From there, the two divas started exchanging strikes, but Gail got the upperhand. She whipped Jillian to the corner and hit her with a flying clothesline. On the second charging move, Jillian moved. Gail flew back off the corner for a flying bodypress pin, but Jillian rolled through. Gail kicked out of the pinfall. Jillian did her handstand flip to ram Gail in the corner, but then missed on her next move, hitting the post shoulder first. Gail grabbed her by the arm and stuck a foot against Jillian's neck before dropping down to the mat. Gail scores the pinfall win.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Jillian.

They reviewed Monday night Raw's 3 hour show which included the 2010 WWE Draft. Matches were held between the members of Raw and Smackdown to determine which brand got the next draft picks. Each brand got 4. Kelly Kelly, Big Show, Christian and Kofi Kingston were drafted to Smackdown. R-Truth, John Morrison, Edge and Chris Jericho to Raw. During the main event Triple Threat match for the #1 Contender's spot, Orton, Batista and Sheamus fought it out. Orton hit the RKO and was ready for the pin, until new Raw acquisition Edge came to the ring and speared Orton, allowing Batista to score the winning pinfall.

Michael Cole said to check out WWE.com for full details on how the rest of the draft went. Later tonight, the new Unified Tag champs, Hart Dynasty, will be in action.

Primo vs. Zack Ryder

Rosa Mendes accompanied Ryder to the ring. Cole said Rosa has been drafted to Smackdown so it will be interesting to see how their relationship goes in the next few weeks.

During this contest, Primo managed to gain some momentum when he dumped Ryder out over the top rope. Ryder hit chin first on the apron then fell to the outside. Primo prepared to run and jump out onto him but Ryder got up and blocked it. Primo grabbed the top rope and jumped out onto Ryder anyway, crashing to the floor. The two got back in the ring for more of a fight. Ryder suplexed Primo gut first onto the top rope, then delivered a high knee to knock him to the outside. Superstars went to commercial break.

Superstars returned with Ryder locking a submission hold on Primo to ground him, as Rosa looked on from ringside. Primo tried for a comeback as he ran against the ropes, but Zach hit him with a Flapjack for a near fall. Later still, Ryder missed on a leg drop from off the corner. Primo was still down but kicked Ryder in the face with both legs, then rolled him up for several near falls. Primo continued to be in control but couldn't capture the pinfall. In the closing moments, Ryder yanked Primo by his leg off the corner, then hit the Zack Attack for the win. The commentators claim it was due to Rosa Mendes providing a distraction to Primo from ringside.

Winner: Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Primo.

Superstars returned with highlights from the Extreme Rules Street Fight which Sheamus won against Triple H. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker of Smackdown were on hand to review this past Monday night Raw's unified tag team title match. Hart Dynasty was able to defeat ShowMiz when Kidd locked a Sharpshooter on The Miz. After the match, Big Show clocked The Miz with a huge knockout punch.

The Hart Dynasty vs. The DudeBusters

Grisham noted that Hart Dynasty and Natalya all ended up being drafted over to Raw in the Supplemental draft.

Midway through the match, Barretta baited DH Smith into going after him. Smith kept his attention on Barretta outside the ring, while the legal man Croft came over and hit Smith out of the ring. Barretta ran over and smashed Smith down outside the ring as the ref was distracted by Croft inside.

When Superstars returned from commercial, Barretta had Smith down in a headlock. Smith managed to break away eventually and tagged in Kidd who had serious momentum. Croft and Barretta regained control when Barretta DDT'd Kidd on the side apron. Croft tagged back in and had the near fall in the ring, then started to use the headlock to wear Kidd down. The DudeBusters continued to keep Kidd from tagging out and tried to wear him down near their corner.

In the closing moments, Kidd was down in the corner. Barretta charged at him, but Kidd got up and tossed Barretta face first into the ringpost. Kidd slowlsy crawled over, then jumped to make the hot tag to Smith. Croft tagged in as well, but was taken down several times by Smith, who also clocked Barretta off the apron. Croft hit a chinbusters, but then made the mistake of putting his head down. Smith grabbed him for a standing suplex, letting the blood flow down to Croft's head before completing it. Croft and Barretta started to leave outside the ring, but Natalya came over and slapped Barretta in the face.

Kidd came into the ring and then ran against the opposite ropes. DH Smith helped launch him up over the top rope, and Kidd crashed down onto The DudeBusters. Back in the ring, Smith put Croft into a Bear Hug. Tyson Kidd jumped off the ropes to complete the Hart Attack finisher.

Winners: The Hart Dynasty wins via pinfall over The DudeBusters Croft & Barretta.

Raw Preview 02.22.10

With the Elimination Chamber match and WWE title decided Sunday night (see results), Raw will have an interesting followup in store for tonight's show. Last night in the Chamber, John Cena managed to defeat Triple H in the close of the match, using his STF move to make The Game tap out. However, Cena's victory celebration was shortlived as the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon arrived out to make a big announcement. John Cena would have to defend the WWE title immediately, and his opponent would be the man who gave him a beatdown on Raw, Batista. The Animal came to the ring where a weakened and weary Cena gave his best attempt at a fight, only to get Batista Bombed in about 30 seconds. With that, Batista became the new WWE Champion, something not many fans saw coming. On last week's Raw, Batista told Cena he'd show up next week on the show to face him. Cena will definitely want the face-to-face meeting after last night's match which robbed him of the title. What will go down on tonight's Raw between champion and former champion?

Also on the Elimination Chamber PPV card, the WWE Divas tournament was postponed by Smackdown advisor, Vickie Guerrero. Vickie informed fans that the match would be another day, and instead Raw's divas in the tourney finals would face the best of Smackdown, Team LayCool. Michelle McCool and Layla were able to pull off the win, thanks to the fact that Maryse didn't help out her partner much. When all was said and done, Maryse added insult to injury by berating Gail Kim in the ring and then hitting a DDT to plant her into the mat. Maryse had claimed she wanted to bring class to the divas division on Raw, but it seems she has abandoned that plan. How will Gail Kim respond to Maryse's post-match attack, and when will the Divas title be decided?

In another match on the PPV card, The Miz once again defended his United States title against challenger MVP. Mark Henry was at ringside to support MVP, while Big Show was there for his partner The Miz. Both Henry and Show played a part towards the end of the match as Henry charged at Big Show outside the ring, only to miss and crash through the crowd barrier area. A distraction by Miz of the referee in the ring, allowed Big Show to connect on a KO punch to knockout MVP, giving Miz the victory. Miz now keeps his United States title and will continue to brag about his accomplishments on Raw. Will MVP continue his pursuit of the title, or will a new challenger emerge from the Raw roster?

Tonight's show is hosted by Jewel and rodeo star Ty Murray. Catch all of the action at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Elimination Chamber for WWE Title

The match opened with Sheamus dominating Kofi Kingston as the first two competitors went at it. Kofi had a brief comeback as he hit an enziguiri kick on the Celtic Warrior. Sheamus regained control right before the first five minutes, and then HHH was released into the match. Triple H rushed into the ring to go after Sheamus, for revenge after this past week's Raw. HHH blocked a Sheamus move and hit a DDT for a near fall. Kofi Kingston went to splash on HHH who avoided it, causing Sheamus to get hit instead. Kofi then hit several moves in the corner, before landing a leg drop on Triple H on the platform.

Next up, the ten minute mark hit and Randy Orton was into the match. Dibiase and Cena looked on from inside their pods still. Orton smashed Sheamus face first into the various walls of the Chamber, then did the same to HHH. Kofi Kingston then took all three guys out onto the platform. He went for a springboard move on Orton who countered with a dropkick in the air on Kofi. HHH went at Orton, who dropped him then prepared for the RKO. He went for it, but HHH shoved Orton off. Orton hit a backdrop on HHH over the ropes onto the platform. With Kofi and HHH down, Sheamus rammed Orton into the ringpost. As the 15 minute mark hit, Dibiase was released into the match.

Dibiase helped his Legacy mentor Randy Orton up, and the pair went after Sheamus, throwing him shoulder first into a ringpost. Next up they targeted Kofi, and were able to stick his head into a part of the cage wall. Dibiase applied a Boston Crab for a bit. Dibiase and Orton doubleteamed HHH for a DDT with HHH on the rope. They looked at Cena as the clock went down to 21:00. Cena was the final entrant.

Cena came out fighting and punched away on Dibiase and Orton. He eventually hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle on Orton, and almost had Attitude Adjustment on Dibiase. Cena ended up tossing Dibiase over the ropes onto the platform. He put the STF on Dibiase, with Orton breaking it up. From outside the ring, Cody Rhodes appeared and sent a metal pipe into the ring for Orton. Instead, Dibiase grabbed the pipe and clocked both Orton and Cena. With both guys down, Dibiase went for a pinfall on Orton. As Orton was escorted away from the Chamber, he glared at Dibiase. Dibiase looked back and that allowed Kofi to hit a Trouble in Paradise to eliminate him after the 25 minute mark.

Sheamus hit Kofi Kingston with a bicycle kick, then hoisted him up in the air for his Outsider's Edge move. Kofi was the third competitor eliminated, leaving HHH, Sheamus and Cena in the match.

Sheamus went for his finisher on Cena but HHH broke it up by punching the Celtic Warrior in the gut. HHH then hit the Pedigree, and slowly was able to turn over the champ for the pinfall to eliminate him. With Sheamus out, it was down to Cena vs HHH for the title. Cena was able to lock the STF on HHH in the middle of the ring. Eventually, HHH began to tap on the mat to give Cena the win via submission. Cena is now the WWE Champion.

Eliminations: Randy Orton (pin by Dibiase), Ted Dibiase (pin by Kingston), Kofi Kingston (pin by Sheamus), Sheamus (pin by HHH), Triple H (submission by Cena)

Winner: John Cena wins the Raw Elimination Chamber to become new WWE Champion.
Just as Cena was celebrating his WWE title win with the belt in hand, Vince McMahon's theme music hit and out came the Chairman. He got on the mic to congratulate Cena, then told him he'd be going to Wrestlemania as champion, but only if he can successfully defend the title against his first challenger, right now. Batista's music hit, and The Animal came out for a WWE title match.

Batista vs. John Cena
WWE Title Match

Cena was worn down from his 45-50 minute Chamber match, but still attempted a punch on Batista. Batista came back and Speared Cena down, then hit a Batista Bomb. The Animal made the cover for the winning pinfall to become new champion. Batista took the belt and walked off up the ramp. Cena limped from out of the ring dejected over the loss, looking back at the Wrestlemania 26 banner hanging up high.

Winner: Batista wins via pinfall to become new WWE Champion.

Kane vs. Drew McIntyre
Intercontinental title match

Early on, McIntyre chopped away at Kane trying to level him with clotheslines. Finally, Kane responded with a big clothesline to send McIntyre out over the top rope. McIntyre got back into the ring and started trying to take control. He went for the double underhook DDT with no luck as Kane blocked it and hit an uppercut. Kane hit the sidewalk slam, then went for the Chokeslam. Drew escaped it and went onto the ring apron. Kane grabbed McIntyre then ran him headfirst into the ringpost, before delivering a big boot to kick him off the apron.

Kane went out and retrieved McIntyre to put him in the ring during the ref's count. McIntyre escaped and started up the ramp with Kane getting to him for a headbutt. Kane rolled McIntyre into the ring again. As Kane went to get in the ring, McIntyre raked him in the eye with a thumb. Kane was stunned by it, allowing McIntyre to hit his double underhook DDT finisher for the win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre wins via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Vickie Guerrero came out to inform everyone that she was officially postponing the divas championship match. Instead at tonight's PPV, Gail Kim & Maryse will team up to face Michelle McCool and Layla from Smackdown.

Gail Kim vs. Maryse
WWE Divas Championship tournament finals

Winner: Match postponed by Vickie Guerrero.

Gail Kim & Maryse vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

Gail Kim started things off against Team LayCool. LayCool was in control early on until Gail made her comeback. She went over to make a tag to Maryse who chose not to tag in. Gail rushed at Michelle who responded with a big boot kick. McCool quickly followed up with the Faithbreaker to win the match in under 5 minutes.

After the loss, Maryse walked over and berated Gail Kim. She hit her DDT finisher on Gail before leaving.

Winners: Michelle McCool & Layla win via pinfall over Gail Kim and Maryse.

MVP vs. The Miz
United States Title match

Big Show joined his tag team partner for the match, as Mark Henry was there for MVP at ringside. In the late stages of the match, MVP used clotheslines and forearm smashes on Miz, followed by a facebuster. MVP connected on the Ballin' elbow drop. He went for the pinfall, but Miz was close enough to put a foot on the bottom rope to break it. MVP and the ref started chatting it up, and Show pulled Miz out of the ring. MVP went to the outside, and Mark Henry got into things. He went to charge at Big Show near the guardrail barricade. Show moved away and Henry crashed right through. MVP and Miz got back in the ring, with MVP running at Miz in the corner for his boot kick. Miz avoided it, and MVP got stuck with his leg in the corner of the ring. As Miz distracted the referee, Big Show clocked MPV with the KO punch. Miz took the pinfall and retained his belt in this rematch from the Royal Rumble.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over MVP to retain the United States title.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber for World Heavyweight Title

CM Punk and R-Truth were the first two competitors into the match. Early on, Truth had a catapult move sending Punk face first into the wall area. However, Punk brought his A-game and eliminated Truth five minutes into the match. Punk began to rant on the mic, and warned Undertaker he better hope his chamber opens last, because when he comes out, he'll make him tap out like he did once before. Punk said he'll prove that Straightedge means "I'm better than you."

The next pod opened and Rey Mysterio came into the match. Rey and Punk went back and forth one another, until Mysterio got the upperhand. He kicked Punk off the top rope then hit a headscissors move to send Punk out onto the ringside platform. Punk fell right on his back, but rolled back into the ring. Rey did a slingshot splash and pinned Punk for the elimination. After the countdown clock finished, the next competitor was released, Chris Jericho.

Mysterio and Jericho duked it out for a bit, but Jericho gained the upperhand towards the end of five minutes. He locked on Walls of Jericho, but John Morrison entered the match and broke things up. Jericho had the advantage as he fought Morrison, while Rey tried to recover. Rey finally got back into it but was soon backdropped over the top rope. Morrison knocked Jericho out of the ring and worked on Rey. Jericho, Morrison and Rey continued their threeway fight. With Jericho knocked out of the action for a bit, Rey went for a move from the top rope with Morrison. Morrison held onto the top rope, causing Mysterio to crash to the mat. Morrison followed with Straship Pain to eliminate Rey.

When Undertaker got into the match, Jericho had Morrison in Walls of Jericho. Jericho let go of his hold and went after Undertaker, but Taker dropped him with a big boot, then knocked Morrison out of the ring. Taker tried a pin on Jericho to no avail. He worked on Morrison some, with Morrison favoring his hurt ankle. Morrison got in control and went for the Starship Pain, only to have Taker block it with both knees. Taker sat up, so Jericho hid inside a pod. Taker tossed Morrison to the outside, with Jericho coming over to take down Taker with a tackle into the fence area. Jericho smashed Taker headfirst into the pod's glass. Taker was able to recover and overcome Jericho though. He continued to fight with Morrison, as he grabbed him with a Chokeslam and slammed Morrison on the steel platform, then brought him in the ring for a DOA pinfall.

It was now down to Taker vs Jericho, with Taker ready to rock behind a rallying chant from the crowd. Taker began to dominate Jericho, but Jericho avoided the big boot in the corner. He was able to get the Deadman into Walls of Jericho, but Taker was able to get out of it with sheer power, and put on Hell's Gate. Jericho worked his way to the ropes and escaped it. Taker went for a Tombstone, Jericho countered with the Codebreaker. The Undertaker was layed out, and Jericho crawled over for the pin. It was a near fall though, as Undertaker kicked out barely.

Taker now gained control and set up Jericho for The Last Ride. Suddenly, Shawn Michaels came out from under the steel platform. He delivered Sweet Chin Music to drop Taker to the mat. Chris Jericho made the pinfall to win the World Title. Shawn Michaels stood over the Deadman who was still KO'd on the mat. Meanwhile Jericho's music played and the new champion celebrated with title in hand as went backstage.

Winner: Chris Jericho wins the Smackdown Elimination Chamber by pinfall over Undertaker to become new World Heavyweight champion.

Elimination Chamber 2010 PPV Predictions

On Sunday, February 21st, 2010, we get a brand new installment of the Chamber, with WWE's Elimination Chamber 2010 PPV. It includes two separate Chamber matches with both Sheamus' WWE title and Undertaker's World Championship hanging in the balance. There's five eager competitors from Raw and Smackdown respectively in each match looking to take the title and pave their road to Wrestlemania glory.

In addition, we've got the WWE Divas Championship to be decided between Gail Kim and former champion Maryse. Maryse has been hungry to get her title back ever since taking time off from Raw. Once the Melina injury bug struck, it gave all of Raw's divas a glimmer of hope to win the title via an 8-diva tournament. That tourney wound up with Gail defeating Alicia Fox, and Maryse defeating Eve Torres to set up the Finals.

You'll find Elimination Chamber 2010 predictions with analysis below, by match. Be sure to check WWE Characters the Blog on Sunday starting at 8PM EST when results will be update throughout the Chamber Pay-Per-View event, until 11PM EST!

Gail Kim vs. Maryse
WWE Divas Championship tournament finals

Maryse has been setting up her face opponent Gail Kim for the fall in this Divas final match. In t he past month or so on Raw, Maryse has pretended to be a gracious competitor, yet anyone who understands French has probably heard Maryse speaking in her true colors. She's consistently told Gail that she's anxious to face her and looks forward to a great match. She's also said she wants to bring honor and class to the WWE Divas division. We all know that's a crock as Mr. McMahon would say. Look for Maryse to play dirty in this match and bring home her second Divas Championship reign via pinfall over Gail Kim.

Prediction: Maryse wins the WWE Divas Championship by pinfall.

Kane vs. Drew McIntyre
Intercontinental title match

This match came about after these two superstars met on Smackdown, yet no clear winner was decided. In the match, both men toppled over the top rope, and Kane beat on Drew McIntyre outside the ring, despite being counted out. After the bell, McIntyre delivered a boot to Kane's face in the ring. He got his IC belt and tried to run at Kane with it, but Kane avoided it, then hit the Chokeslam on McIntyre. Recently on Smackdown, the two wrestlers tangled again, after Kane had defeated Dolph Ziggler in a match. Kane again got the upperhand, as McIntyre was forced out of the ring to retreat. With the IC title on the line, this match will look to establish McIntyre even more. He'll likely win due to some sort of cheap shot or using an illegal weapon with the ref not noticing it to keep his undefeated nature in tact, and get a big push win against Kane.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre wins by pinfall to retain.

Raw Elimination Chamber for WWE Title

I see one of two wrestlers walking out as the champion from this one. Sheamus has been consistently shown as the overbearing warrior who attacks all competitors, and cheats to secure his title. He was recently shown hitting his boot kick on Cena, then using his finisher on Triple H to leave both guys layed out in the ring on Raw. Whoever walks out as the winner will headline WM26 as the champ, and although it's surprising to say it, Sheamus will probably retain, with some sort of cheap win against Triple H. This will set up Triple H to be in yet another Wrestlemania main event, as challenger. He may of course win the title to set up a Wrestlemania rematch with Sheamus.

So what about Cena? Well, it's looking like Batista may play a part in the match, maybe attacking Cena before it begins or once Cena's involved in the match. That will further the Cena-Batista feud which is being built into a Wrestlemania match between the two wrestlers.

Prediction: Sheamus retains the WWE Championship by pinfall over Triple H.

Smackdown Elimination Chamber for World Heavyweight Title

The Undertaker enters as the champion, but most likely is not going to leave that way. Surprisingly, expect Chris Jericho to walk out as the new champ, setting up Edge vs Jericho for Wrestlemania 26. Could the WWE have foreshadowed that matchup any more in the recent promos on Smackdown? All signs point to Jericho vs. Edge at Mania with the title on the line, and Edge likely leaving as new champion.

Meanwhile, you might also expect to see John Morrison unable to compete and replaced by Shawn Michaels, despite him Superkicking GM Teddy Long down. Michaels will find a way to pin the Undertaker or take him out of the title equation in the Chamber, and that will set up their Wrestlemania 26 rematch. Possibly the finish involves Jericho, Taker and Michaels, with Jericho winning after Michaels Superkicks Taker down.

Prediction: Chris Jericho wins the World Heavyweight Championship.

Raw Recap 01.25.10

Raw Recap from Columbus, OH:

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcomed fans in, six nights ahead of the Royal Rumble. Tonight's guest hosts are James Roday and Dule Hill, stars of the USA series, Psych, which will have a guest appearance episode from John Cena. D-Generation X's theme music started off the show, and Michaels/HHH came out onto the ramp for a tag match.

D-Generation X vs. Legacy

They showed highlights from the end of last week's Raw when Michaels, Cena and Show declared themselves winners of the upcoming Royal Rumble. The show ended with HHH tossing Michaels out of the ring and saying he's going to win the Rumble.

DX went to do their standard intro bit in the ring. HHH paused after asking "Are you ready?" and asked Michaels where the Leprechaun is. Michaels said he sent him home. Michaels and HHH got into a serious discussion again, with Michaels telling HHH how important the Rumble victory is for him to get a shot at Undertaker for a rematch to end the streak. He asked HHH to understand his side of things as a friend. HHH said it's too much to ask, because it's a serious match to get a shot at the championship in a main event at Wrestlemania. HHH said everyone should have the goal of getting those things if they work for WWE, or they shouldn't be there. HHH said they can eliminate the 28 others pretty easily, but it might come down to them. HHH said if he's got to step on Michaels' dream to get to his, he will do so. Michaels told HHH "I understand" and gave his mic up.

HHH got control of Rhodes early and set up a Pedigree. Rhodes managed to move himself back towards the ropes, and Dibiase pulled him out by his legs. As Raw went to commercial, Michael Cole said there's some breaking news about the guest hosts, which we'll get as Raw returns.

Raw returned with DX in control. Jerry Lawler announced that according to WWE.com, one of the guest hosts, James Roday will not be there tonight, and they're not sure why. Dule Hill will be the sole guest host for now. In the latter stages of the tag match, Michaels and HHH ended up in a staredown near the corner. Cody Rhodes wisely pushed HHH into HBK and the two bumped heads. They looked at each other with some animosity. Just then, Michaels pushed HHH to the side and hit Sweet Chin Music on Dibiase. HHH rushed forward and Michaels avoided him as HHH clotheslined Rhodes down. Michaels took the winning pin on Dibiase.

Winners: D-Generation X wins via pinfall over Legacy.

DX will have to defend the Unified Tag team titles against CM Punk and Luke Gallows on Smackdown this Friday. Cole and Lawler questioned if DX will be ready to fight in the Rumble after the tag title match on Smackdown.

They rolled a behind the scenes look at John Cena's guest appearance on the upcoming Psych season premiere for Wednesday. Robert Patrick, who played the villain in "The Marine" will also be part of the episode, where Cena plays a military man.

Coming up next, MVP takes on The Big Show.

WWE Slam of the Week showed highlights of Don Johnson, Jon Heder and The Miz in the ring. The Miz was trash talking about MVP who came down the ramp to the ring. Big Show came out next and walked up behind MVP. MVP went at Miz, but Show gave MVP a knockout punch.

MVP vs. The Big Show

Before the match, MVP reminded Miz he is the #1 Contender for US Title, and Miz can't keep running from him. This speech brought The Miz out to offer his own comments. Miz said it's shocking that MVP was incarcerated, but the people accept him. Miz said he's treated like an outcast who the people can't stand though. Miz said while MVP was doing mugshots, he was the star on reality television shows. MVP said The Miz would be very popular if he was behind bars. Miz was upset by MVP's remarks and said he should come down right now and have the US Title match. MVP dared him to do so, but Miz said he's got a friend who has to make a statement to make before the Rumble.

Big Show had his way with MVP throughout the match, beating him up from corner to corner. After a headbutt, Show started choking MVP in one corner then whipped him to the other. MVP avoided Show charging him and then did a facebuster. From there, MVP did his running boot on Show on the corner. He backed up for another and went for it, but Show grabbed him for a Chokeslam to win the match. The Miz got in the mic to brag with his US Title looking down at MVP.

Winner: Big Show wins via pinfall over MVP.

Michael Cole said there's breaking news earlier today, that Vince McMahon has reached a decision regarding Bret Hart's status with WWE.

Raw returned with Legacy upset in the locker room about the loss. Rhodes was pacing and said to Dibiase he didn't know where his head was last week in the Cena/Kofi match. Tonight Rhodes thanked Dibiase for sparing him the Superkick tonight. Dibiase stood up and grabbed Rhodes by the arm, but just then Orton walked in. He discussed how they've had differences over the past month or so, and in the past few weeks Orton isn't sure where Legacy's been. He said Sheamus jumped his last week and Legacy was nowhere to be found. He told them to get their heads into the game, and said at the Rumble he will become WWE champion once again, with or without them.

John Cena and Dule Hill were in an office, with Cena's arm around Dule. Cena hyped up the season premiere for Wednesday starring himself, Dule Hill and James Roday. He asked where Roday is, and Hill said he had an emergency appendectomy. Cena said it's a shame he's not here. Hill said he's ready to go tonight. Cena left the office and a knock came at the door. The Miz walked in and said he can't believe Psych asked Cena to be on the show instead of him. He told Dule he had to Google him to find out who he was, and that The Miz is more famous than he is. He told Dule when Miz talks, he'll listen. Dule said it's the other way around, and told Miz he's set him up for a match tonight with an opponent of his choosing.

A commercial was shown for the "Best of Raw 2009" DVD due out tomorrow.

Eve Torres vs. Maryse
Divas Championship Semifinals Match #1

Maryse took the mic before the match and started talking about the other divas, then began speaking in French. All of a sudden some pyro exploded near the ramp. The camera cut over to Dule Hill who was playing around with the pyro controls. He said he was sorry to Maryse on the mic but she said she doesn't accept the apology. Eve Torres came out next for the match.

Eve had control and went for a high risk Moonsault during the match. Maryse rolled away and Eve hit the mat hard. Maryse quickly got Eve up and tried for the DDT, but Eve countered and suplexed Maryse back for a near fall. Eve tried to grab Maryse near the ropes, but Eve held onto them so she couldn't whip her. Maryse kicked Eve in the gut, then hit her French Kiss DDT to win it. Maryse moves on to the finals to advance the winner of Gail Kim versus Alicia Fox which is later tonight.

Winner: Maryse wins via pinfall over Eve Torres to advance to the Finals of the Divas Championship tournament.

They showed Vince McMahon backstage getting ready to head out for his big announcement about Bret Hart.

A commercial aired for WWE's Wrestlemania Axxess which occurs the week leading up to Wrestlemania 26th. Tickets will be available on Saturday at 10AM here at Ticketmaster.com.

Vince McMahon arrived out to discuss how the WWE Universe had forgot about Bret Hart for a long time, until Shawn Michaels convinced Vince to bring him back. Vince asked the fans if there's a reason to bring back Bret, and the fans started a "We want Bret" chant. Vince responded with "Bret Hart will never appear again the WWE". Vince said he has to do what's best for the business. Vince went out into the crowd with the mic asking random fans for a good reason to bring back Bret. Vince said he's yet to hear a good business reason to bring Bret back, and he's a part of the past. Vince said he's concerned over the present and future, not the past, which is Bret Hart. Vince thanked the fans for their consideration and went to leave the ring. Just then, John Cena's music started up and Cena walked down to the ring.

Cena said he never had a problem with Vince until recently when Vince said Bret was a used up piece of garbage. Cena said a few months ago at MSG, Vince treated Roddy Piper like he was nothing. Cena told Vince he's got a successful empire because of the help of people like Roddy Piper and Bret Hart. Cena said treats his wrestlers like commodities who he has no use for when they hit their expiration date. Cena told Vince he gets no respect as a man because all he does is line his pockets and serve his ego. Cena told Vince he's not a coward, he's pathetic.

Cena told Vince next week Vince will invite Bret back to Raw to give him a face-to-face confrontation. Cena said if Vince doesn't do that, he's proven to every loyal WWE fan, that they are nothing more than commodities. Cena told Vince to mark his calendar for 2035, when he's 90, because if he doesn't invite Bret back, Cena will pick up Vince out of his wheelchair and knock his teeth down his throat. Cena left the ring and headed up the ramp. Vince got on the mic and yelled at him. Vince said he'll invite Bret back next week and won't even flinch when he gets in the ring. Vince said since Cena came down and made his presence felt, it should be felt in the ring. Vince told Cena he can face Sheamus one on one, a man who's humbled him before. Cena smirked about it, as Vince smiled back.

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz

Late in the match, Miz had Kofi in the corner and charged at him, but Kofi managed to slip out to the apron and hit a high kick to Miz' head, sending him back. Miz collapsed to the mat, and Kofi jumped with a double axe handle to his back for a near fall. Kofi went for a move from against the ropes but Miz ducked it, then hit a neckbreaker for a near fall. Miz had control of things but MVP's theme music started. Miz looked up the ramp for MVP but didn't see him around. Kofi used the distraction to catch Miz with Trouble in Paradise for the win.

MVP came out to the top of the ramp in a vest and suit clothes to do his ballin' taunt as Miz looked at him from the mat.

Carlito brought Dule Hill into a WWE production truck outside to show him how Raw's run. Dule told him he won't press any buttons anymore like he did earlier, it was a mistake. Carlito said he should have asked him to show him around before the show. He said no guest hosts ever pay attention to Carlito. Dule asked a staff member what all the buttons do at the control panel and the man said it brings up graphics for the matches. Dule had him bring up Carlito's picture for an "Up Next" match graphic. Dule said he'll punch in a random code to bring up an opponent for Carlito. He hit a button and Kelly Kelly popped up as Carlito's opponent. Dule said maybe he should do that over, but Carlito told him that was a fine choice and he'll go get ready.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over The Miz.

Kelly Kelly vs. Carlito

Carlito was in the ring still in street clothes when Raw returned. Justin Roberts introduced Carlito, then Kelly Kelly who came out reluctantly. As Kelly was walking down the ramp, she stopped as Santino Marella's music came on. Out came Santino with the Best of Raw DVD in hand. He got on the mic to say the DVD comes out tomorrow, with him in it. He said he loses in the DVD, but will get onto the best of Raw 2010 DVD by having a great 2010, by first taking Kelly's place in tonight's match, then winning it, then winning the Royal Rumble. Santino headed towards the ring, but was jumped from behind by Jack Swagger. Swagger tossed him in the ring for a beatdown then threw Santino out over the top ropes. Swagger went back to the outside and slammed Santino face first to the ringpost, then did some pushups on the ground.

Swagger pounded his fists on his chest before backing up the ramp.

Winner: No match happened due to Santino Marella and Jack Swagger's interference.

Swagger pounded his fists on his chest before backing up the ramp.

Winner: No match happened due to Santino Marella and Jack Swagger's interference.

When Raw returned, they said Santino had to be helped to the back after the attack from Swagger. Cole and Lawler talked up the Royal Rumble match which will be 30 men and at least 60 minutes in length. They rolled out a highlight video of previous winners including HBK, The Rock, and others.

They went down the various RR stat numbers, such as 627 superstars have tried to win the match but have been eliminated through the years. Stone Cold owns the record for 36 total eliminations during his appearances in Royal Rumbles. Kane has the record for eliminations in one Rumble match, 11. Kane will be in his 12th consecutive Rumble match. 2002 was the last time the Rumble happened in Georgia's Philips Arena, when HHH won. 62:12 is the record-setting time by Rey Mysterio for his length of appearance in a Rumble match. The Warlord held the record of 2 seconds in the Rumble until last year, when Kane eliminted Santino in 1 second. 3 is the record number of wins Stone Cold has. Entry numbers #1 and #30 have produced the same amount of winners in the Royal Rumble. 70% of the Rumble winners have gone on to win a title at Wrestlemania.

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler discussed the Rumble PPV including Rey Mysterio taking on Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton will face Sheamus for the WWE Championship. Ezekiel Jackson battles Christian for the ECW title, in addition to the Royal Rumble match.

John Cena was backstage with Dule Hill again. Cena said everyone should watch Psych this Wednesday because Dule is doing so well as host tonight. Cena said he called up his partner James Roday on the phone. They put him on speakerphone. Roday said he can't wait to see Cena defeat Sheamus later on, then discussed how he was feeling after his surgery, being on drugs. Just then, Alicia Fox walked in. Dule Hill told Roday to hold. Alicia asked if Dule is a psychic. Roday chimed in via the phone that he's the psychic. Dule hunk up the phone and told Alicia he can help her, so she asked him to predict the outcome of her match tonight. He said he sees her standing victorious in the ring, and to witness it he'll be her good luck charm at ringside. Alicia warned him that if he's wrong, then gave a disgusted look and left. Dule asked Cena what that means, and he said it could mean many things including she'll find Mark Henry and have him remove Dule's appendix, the old fashioned way. Cena laughed and left Dule standing there asking if he was joking.

Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox
Divas Championship Semifinals Matchup #2

Dule Hill was there with Cole and Lawler for guest commentary to see if his prediction came true. Alicia hit a tiltawhirl backbreaker to take control then whipped Alicia to the corner hard. She charged at Gail in the corner who moved away and had a near fall, after Dule blew Alicia a kiss. Alicia got up and rolled Gail in a small package for a near fall. Gail Kim countered an Alicia Fox move then put her foot up against Alicia Fox's neck and dropped down to stun her for the pin.

An angry Alicia Fox left the ring and slammed her hands on the announcers table. She walked over to confront Dule about his "prediction". Dule tried to explain that he just makes up stories as part of his character on Psych. Alicia hauled off and slapped Dule in the face and he fell back. Lawler helped him up with Dule holding his face.

Winner: Gail Kim wins via pinfall over Alicia Fox to advance to the Divas Championship tournament finals.

Backstage, Sheamus was shown walking on his way out for the main event against Cena.

Tomorrow night on ECW, Christian teams with Kane to take on William Regal and Ezekiel Jackson.

John Cena vs. Sheamus

During the match, Sheamus started to dominate from corner to corner, whipping Cena hard to one. Cena hit back first and fell flat to the mat, so Sheamus walked over to raise his arms up. Cena escaped the pinfall and rolled to the apron. He started to go in through the ropes and Sheamus ran over to knee him in the face. Cena fell to the outside and the ref began a countout. Cena climbed back up on the apron and avoided another running knee from Sheamus. He got back in the ring and hoisted up Sheamus for Attitude Adjustment, but Sheamus escaped and DDT'd Cena down. From there he had a nearfall, then started a chin lock hold on Cena on the mat. The crowd rallied behind Cena as he got to his feet and powered out of the hold. Cena tripped Sheamus down for a near STF, but Sheamus countered and kicked Cena hard enough to send him to the outside.

Jerry Lawler asked if maybe Cena has finally reached his unbeatable opponent. Sheamus whipped Cena to the steps on the outside, the nwent over to yell at Cena. Sheamus got back in the ring and told the ref to count him out as Cena was laying on his back near the crowd barrier. Cena finally got up at 8 and rushed back into the ring. Sheamus went for an elbow drop but Cena moved away. Cena gained his momentum ducking Sheamus then hitting several shoulder tackles to take down Sheamus for a Five Knuckle Shuffle. Sheamus stood up wobbly, but Sheamus got off another Attitude Adjustment, and hit a backbreaker for another near fall.

Sheamus charged at Cena for a running kick, with Cena barely avoiding it. Cena tripped Sheamus down for a STF and locked it, but Sheamus was able to grab the ropes. He rolled outside and Cena went after him, but ended up eating a running boot to his face. The ref started another countout with Sheamus in the ring smiling at his work. All of a sudden, Randy Orton rushed into the ring to sneak attack Sheamus, hitting the RKO to plant him on the mat face first.

Cena got back on the apron and started to climb in through the ropes. Orton saw him and went over to try to DDT Cena off the second rope. Cena avoided it though and escaped to hit Attitude Adjustment on Orton. Raw ended with Cena posing from the ring corner as Sheamus and Orton were both down in the ring.

Winner: Sheamus wins due to disqualification against John Cena when Randy Orton interfered.
