Raw Results 03/10/14

Raw Results from Memphis, TN:

The show opened with Hulk Hogan arriving to the ring to reminisce about his previous WrestleMania matches including those vs. Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior and Andre the Giant. He said in Andre's honor he's announcing a 30-man battle royal at WrestleMania with the winner getting a trophy made in Andre's likeness. John Cena came to the ring to hug Hogan and officially announce his name for the battle royal, but soon the Wyatt's music played to interrupt. The Wyatt Family came to the ring with Bray and Cena engaging in more verbal banter, until Cena challenged Bray to a match at WrestleMania, saying he won't be in the battle royal. Bray accepted and laughed saying Cena has made more "empty promises." The Wyatts got in the ring with Hogan and Cena ready for a fight.

John Cena defeated Erick Rowan via pinfall. Hulk Hogan was ringside along with the Wyatts. At one point, Rowan looked away from Cena towards Bray and Harper. Cena surprised him with a quick rollup pinfall. Post-match, the Wyatts looked ready to attack, but Bray gathered Rowan and Harper from the apron. Cena and Hogan posed in the ring to close the opening match out.

Stephanie and Triple H came out on stage to address HHH hitting a Pedigree on Bryan last week. She said it was due to Bryan attacking Hunter, and that normally that's grounds for termination. She said they realize Bryan has some value but not like A-Players such as Batista, Orton and Triple H. Stephanie said Bryan needs to apologize or there will be severe consequences.

The Usos defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel via pinfall in a non-title match. Jimmy hit the Superfly Splash off the top on Axel for the win. The Usos posed with their belts to taunt the New Age Outlaws who were on commentary.

Backstage, Kane told The Shield it was time to light a fire under them to see how they co-exist. He told them they'd face the Rhodes Bros tonight, a team they dropped the tag titles to. Rollins brought up how Kane lost to Bryan recently and how Big Show KO'd him. Kane was upset, telling Rollins he's had enough. He said to take care of Rhodes Bros. tonight. Reigns stepped up to Kane and said they'll take care of any demon standing in their way.

Big E defeated Jack Swagger via pinfall in a non-title match. The close saw Swagger yelling at Cesaro for not helping him out during the match. Big E took advantage of the distraction and rolled up Swagger from behind. Post-match, Zeb Colter told Swagger and Cesaro to shake hands. They did but Cesaro put a tight grip on Swagger's hand and eventually let go of it.

They had an Undertaker segment with Paul Heyman arriving out on stage as advocate for Brock Lesnar. He said Taker's had 21 straight wins in 21 Mania matches. He referred to the man becoming a myth, the myth becoming legend and legend becoming deity. Heyman said if Taker gets in the ring with Lesnar at WM30, the streak will be conquered. Taker told him that fear of death is greater than death itself, but the fear of unknown is greatest of all. He told Heyman to tell Brock if he shows up in New Orleans he'll "Rest..In...Peace." Heyman looked concerned on stage.

The Shield defeated Rhodes Brothers via pinfall. Reigns broke up a late pin attempt by Cody. Rollins and Cody collided in the ring after a brawl broke out. Reigns speared Goldust out of the ring. Rollins hit a finisher on Cody to get the pinfall win.

The Bella Twins defeated AJ Lee and Tamina via pinfall. AJ tagged in after Tamina had dominated Brie for a bit. Niki eventually got in and AJ lost control of things. Nikki managed to drop AJ for the winning pinfall. AJ will defend her Divas title against Natalya on Main Event on Tuesday night.

Daniel Bryan came to the ring to talk about the "Yes! Movement" and how Stephanie's apology to him earlier didn't seem sincere. He told HHH he can't have it both ways, acting corporate and then Pedigreeing him in the ring. Bryan vowed to fight HHH, and in response to the request to apologize, Bryan said he had one word for him, "No!" Bryan told HHH It ends here tonight, because tonight they're going to occupy Raw. Bryan invited some fans who were members of the Yes! Movement to join him in the ring. Bryan continued speaking with Raw fading to a commercial as if cutting his speech off.

After a commercial break, Daniel Bryan had a slew of fans with him in the ring and around it as part of his "Occupy Raw Movement." Triple H and Stephanie came out to intervene, trying to order them all to get out of there. Bryan and the fans refused. Hunter tried to send a couple security guards down and even Damian Sandow for a match, but none of that worked. Eventually, Hunter gave in and told Bryan he can have a match against him at WM30. HHH told him he got what he wanted now everyone needs to leave. Bryan said that's not what he wants, he suggested that if he beats HHH at WrestleMania 30, he gets put into the title match. HHH finally agreed to it and dropped his mic, seething at Bryan.

It was announced that the majority of fans voting on WWE's App chose a Memphis Street Fight as the match involving Christian and Sheamus on tonight's Raw.

Sheamus defeated Christian in a Memphis Street Fight. The match involved a variety of objects as weapons including a big bass drum. Late in the match, Christian hit a Frosplash to drive a chair into Sheamus. Christian was hurt as well but went for a pin, with Sheamus kicking out. Moments later, Christian tried to use the bass drum on Sheamus, but Sheamus destroyed it and Christian's face with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Backstage, Batista and Orton were upset about the news that Bryan could be a part of their match at WM30. Brad Maddox was standing by and said The Authority left the building. He told Orton and Batista to take care of Bryan and Big Show tonight. Orton said he's willing to make it work if Batista will. Batista looked at him a bit and left without saying a word.

They had a promo from NXT stars Lana and Rusev on stage about Rusev taking over WWE.

The Wyatt Family appeared on screen for a promo, where Bray accepted Cena's challenge for a WM30 match. He told Cena "Your time is up, I am forever." Bray sang about time being on his side. It closed with Erick Rowan grunting while wearing the sheep mask.

Daniel Bryan and The Big Show defeated Batista and Randy Orton via pinfall. Late in the match, Bryan had a Yes! Lock on Orton, but Batista came in to break things up. Show kicked Batista in the face, but then Orton hit an RKO on Show, leaving all four guys down on the mat. Orton and Bryan both got up first. Orton went for an RKO, while Batista tried to spear Bryan. Bryan moved away as Batista speared Orton down. Moments later, Orton hit a second rope DDT on Bryan. Orton went for another RKO, with Bryan avoiding it and attempting a backslide pin for just 2. Moments later, he hit a running knee on Orton to drop him for a pinfall.  Post-match, Bryan celebrated the win as the crowd chanted Yes. As Raw closed out, Bryan was shown with the WM30 banner off in the distance above his shoulder as he was on the ring corner celebrating.

Main Event results from Knoxville, TN:

Main Event opened up with an over-the-top battle royal with the winner getting to take on Wade Barrett for the Intercontinental Title.  Barrett's music hit to interrupt Cole and JBL as they were talking about the match.  As Barrett was insulting the competitors in the ring, Great Khali's music hit and he eventually came out to have a staredown with Barrett on stage.

Justin Gabriel won an over-the-top-rope battle royal to become #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title.  Great Khali, Alex Riley, Drew McIntyre, Santino Marella, Justin Gabriel, The Uso's, Primo, Epico, Yoshi Tatsu and Jinder Mahal were among the competitors in the match.  Yoshi was among the first superstars eliminated.  Khali eliminated Epico, then Jinder Mahal before raising his arms for a big yell.  At one point, all of the competitors tried to work together to push Khali over the top, but Khali fell to the apron and got back in.  Moments later, six men worked together to eliminate Khali with Barrett shown enjoying the moment backstage.

It came down to Justin Gabriel, Santino, Primo and Drew McIntyre.  Santino went wild and pulled out the Cobra to punch Primo out through the middle ropes so he wasn't eliminated.  Drew rushed over and tossed Santino out then beat up on Gabriel.  Drew threw him over the top but Gabriel held onto the top rope to skin the cat.  Drew rushed over and Gabriel head scissored him out of the ring.  Gabriel flipped back into the ring with Primo rushing at him, so Gabriel ducked and tossed Primo out to the floor to win it.

Matt Striker interviewed Gabriel in the ring.  Gabriel talked about how he used to be good friends with Barrett back in the day, then brought up Kofi Kingston winning the US title on Raw.  Gabriel vowed to win the IC title tonight too.

Cole talked about how there's a mess in the World Championship picture, then had highlight video shown from Raw involving Ziggler, Del Rio and Swagger.  Cole brought up that there will be a World Heavyweight Title triple threat match at Extreme Rules between Ziggler, Swagger and Del Rio.

After commercial break, they rolled part of CM Punk's in-ring speech from Raw talking about wanting that "next challenge."  He talked about taking on "The Streak" at WrestleMania, saying he pushed Undertaker to the limit.  Punk stopped talking then handed the mic to Paul Heyman before leaving.

Michael Cole read a statement from Paul Heyman suggesting fans shouldn't create rumors over Punk, and should maybe focus more on Triple H who has yet to respond to the challenge made for a match against Brock at Extreme Rules.  They showed Lesnar taking out 3MB in the ring on Raw.

Matt Striker talked to Wade Barrett backstage about his luck changing lately.   Barrett insulted Striker as a mediocre wrestler and interviewer.  Barrett said the "Barrett Barage" is going to take a turn for the better tonight, and it starts with Justin Gabriel.

Wade Barrett defeated Justin Gabriel via pinfall to retain the Intercontinental Title.  Barrett was in control as he clotheslined down Gabriel outside the ring right before a commercial break.  After break, they were back in the ring with Gabriel trying to start a comeback only to get kicked hard in the gut by Barrett.  Later in the match, Gabriel finally started to comeback, kicking Barrett in the head to leave him flat on his back.  Gabriel followed with a reverse springboard flip onto Barrett for a near fall.  Later, Barrett avoided Gabriel in the corner, but Gabriel jumped on the corner then delivered a mule kick to Barrett.  He prepared for the 450 Splash, but Barrett escaped the ring.  Gabriel went over to the apron with Barrett fighting him there before raking Gabriel in the eyes.  As Gabriel stumbled around, Barrett wound up for the Bullhammer Elbow and hit it to level Gabriel for the pin.

The show finished up with a look back at Ryback's pre-taped speech about why he attacked Cena on Raw last week.  They showed footage of Cena confronting Ryback in the ring, and Ryback leaving when Cena tried to get a fight.  The Shield came out from the crowd and went into the ring to beat up Cena, with Ryback just standing at the bottom of the ramp watching.  Shield Triple-powerbombed Cena down with Ryback heading up the stage to the back.

Raw Results 10/4/10

Raw Results from Wichita, KS:

Wade barrett and The Nexus arrived to the ring to start off the show. Barrett spoke about how they're still standing before everyone in the ring, meaning he won last night. He said before they introduce the newest Nexus member, first he wants to address last night. Barrett identified the two guys who attacked Cena as Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty of NXT Season 2. He said they are not part of The Nexus, and then he chastised Otunga and the others for coming to the ring during last night's match.

Barrett asked everyone to give a warm welcome to John Cena. Cena looked absolutely devestated as he slowly walked to the ring. Cena got into the ring with Nexus. Barrett said he knows this must be killing Cena, but he knows Cena's a man of his word. WB said in time Cena will realize this is the best thing ever to happen to him.

Michael Tarver stepped up and yelled at Cena for putting his hands on him and threatening his livelihood. Tarver presented a special wristband to Cena, who yanked it out of Tarver's hands. Cena stared at it and removed one of his Cenation bands off his arm as the crowd cheered for him. He looked around at all the fans, contemplating it, then put it on his left arm.

Slater spoke next saying the transition is going to be tough, but that's ok because The Nexus is there for him. Slater said everyone wants to know Cena's thoughts on this, but instead they have an official statement for him to read. Cena tried to argue about that, but Barrett said this is non-negotiable. Cena yanked a mic out of Slater's hands to read:

"I, John Cena, hereby acknowledge that I'm officially a member of The Nexus. Any enemy of the Nexus is now an enemy of mine."

Barrett said tonight Cena will help teach two enemies of Nexus a lesson: Evan Bourne and Mark Henry. Barrett said he'll even let Cena choose his tag partner for tonight. Cena smirked then walked over and got right in Tarver's face, choosing him. Barrett ok'd it, then called Bourne and Henry to come out right now for their beating.

Evan Bourne & Mark Henry vs. John Cena & Michael Tarver

Cena got in and offered Bourne a handshake. Bourne looked around then obliged. Tarver yelled at Cena for being friendly, so Cena slapped Tarver and told him to show him the Nexus way. Tarver came in to beat up Bourne.

After a commercial break, Henry and Bourne gained control of Tarver. Cena stuck his hand out for a tag while Tarver was way over in the other corner. Cena kept teasing a tag as Tarver was getting beat up by Bourne.

Tarver was ready for a tag but Cena turned his back and decided to go sign autographs for fans in the front row. He even went over and signed one for Michael Cole. Meanwhile in the ring, Mark Henry finished off Tarver with World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Winner: Mark Henry & Evan Bourne win via pinfall over Michael Tarver & John Cena.

Post-match, John Cena grabbed the mic to give his own special message. He said he's going to do one thing while he's part of The Nexus: destroy it. He said he's going to prove tonight you can be Nexus and against us. he clocked Tarver with the microphone then beat him up on the outside. Cena tore apart the steel steps and ultimately slammed Tarver down on them. The fans chanted "One more time" and Cena obliged with another slam on the steps, before tossing Tarver into the ring for the STF to punish him even more. For some reason the rest of the Nexus were nowhere to be found.

Just then the lights flashed and the email chime sounded. Cena released the hold on Tarver as Cole got ready to read. The GM's message reiterated the stipulation for Cena's HIAC match, that if he lost he must join Nexus. The GM said as a member of Nexus, Cena must take direction from leader Wade Barrett or else his WWE contract is terminated. Cena was dejected as he left the ring, but the fans broke out with a "Never Give Up" chant and he headed backstage.

Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

Natalya made quick work of Alicia Fox in this match. After Alicia slipped off Natalya's shoulders, she shoved her to the corner. However, Natalya soon recovered and was able to knock down Alicia. She applied the Sharpshooter and Alicia soon tapped out.

Winner: Natalya wins via pinfall over Alicia Fox.

Still to come tonight, Edge owes the Raw GM a public apology. Also, Jackass 3-D star Johnny Knoxville is the guest host.

Johny Knoxville is backstage talking about Jackass 3-D to Melina and Gail Kim. All of a sudden, Zack Ryder walks in and yells hi to Knoxville. Knoxville pretends to go over to high five him, but instead Ryder gets hit with a huge hand and knocked down.

Josh Matthews goes up to John Cena who is backstage staring at the Nexus armband. He asks Cena about what the Raw GM said about joining Nexus or getting fired. Cena says this is all he's ever done, it's all he's got, he can't not be in the WWE, but then again -. Just then, Cena saw Harris and McGillicutty down the hall. He rushed down to chase after them and ended up in a lockerroom with Barrett and The Nexus. Barrett said he's glad Cena's there, they have a lot to talk about. Harris and McGill joined them in the locker room. Cena tried to walk out, but Barrett held him back and said they've got to talk about big plans for Cena's future.

Lawler gave a special thanks to "Sacrifice" the official Hell in a Cell 2010 theme song by Atom Smash. Members of Atom Smash shown in the front row of the KS audience.

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

A surprising matchup just one night after Hell in a Cell. In this one, Sheamus kept attacking Bryan, and despite the referee ordering him to back off, Sheamus refused. Ultimately the ref called for the bell to DQ him. Sheamus hit his High Cross finisher before finally leaving the ring.

Winner: Daniel Bryan wins due to disqualification of Sheamus.

Edge was shown walking backstage, on his way out to make his apology to the Raw GM.

Raw returned with Cole and Lawler going over the earlier events with the Raw GM threatening to terminate Cena from WWE if he doesn't comply with Wade Barrett and Nexus. They showed what happened backstage with Cena, Husky Harris, McGillicutty and The Nexus.

Cole was in the ring with a podium set up. He said from now on the Raw GM will speak through the voice of the WWE, Michael Cole. Cole addressed the Raw GM as a "he" when speaking. The Raw GM had highlights from last week shown when Edge beat Cena, and then the GM had the match restarted over a rules violation. Cena got the STF on Edge to win it. Afterwords, Edge was furious and beat up the laptop, smashing it on the ground.

Back to Cole on Raw, the GM said he wants Edge to come make his apology, and then he'll make a huge announcement about the WWE Championship. Edge got in the ring saying he's on a personal crusade against "all things stupid." Edge called Michael Cole "the personification of stupidity since 1997," saying "I'd rather listen to a recording of JR then a live Michael Cole."

The Raw GM chimed in with a special announcement saying tonight they will determine the new #1 contender for the WWE Title, by way of a 20 Man Battle Royal. The winner faces Randy Orton for the WWE Title in three weeks at Bragging Rights. The Raw GM told Edge he's disrespected him one too many times so he won't be in the Battle Royal tonight. Cole chuckled saying because the GM has officially traded Edge to Smackdown. The fans started a "Spear" chant up.

Edge said it's great he's traded, so he doesn't have to deal with this stupid GM or tool Michael Cole. Cole yelled at Edge saying his "Cole Miners love him." Cole told Edge to treat him with some respect. Edge threatened to go off Raw on a high note and Spear Cole into next week. Suddenly, The Miz's theme music came on and he and Alex Riley came to the ring. Miz told Edge he won't allow that to happen. Miz said Cole is a visionary who realized his awesomeness before anyone else.

As Cole scurried out of the ring, Edge called Miz an Edge wannabe. Edge insulted Miz saying he's never seen him successfully talk to a woman, unless Alex Riley counts. Riley dissed Edge a bit, but Edge had a comeback that Miz is awesome at tapping out. The Miz said in 3 weeks he'll either be winning the WWE Title or leading Team Raw to victory at Bragging Rights. Miz did his "I'm Awesome" right in Edge's face, prompting Edge to call him Raw's biggest jackass. That set up an attack, with Edge beating up Riley, then tossing Miz into the podium head first. From there, Edge scored a Spear on Riley, but Miz was back up and hit the Skullcrushing Finale on him.

John Cena was shown backstage in the locker room with Nexus. Barrett told Cena he did them a favor in getting rid of Michael Tarver. He said that's the kind of initiative he's been looking for, but not to rest on his laurels. Barrett ordered Cena to help him win the Battle Royal later tonight. Otunga chimed in that if Barrett happens to get tossed out, to help one of them win. Barrett asked him what he meant by that. Otunga said that came out wrong. Barrett told Cena to do what he tells him or he's fired.

On Smackdown Friday, Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio.

The Bella Twins vs. Michelle McCool & Layla

Team LayCool was introduced and arrived out with headsets on so fans could hear all of their annoying commentary during the match. Some confusion happened in the match as Layla came in and beat up the legal Bella Twin. Michelle was legal for LayCool. As the ref was getting Layla out of the ring, the Bellas did their switch. Michelle tried for a pinfall, but it got reversed and they lost the match.

Winners: The Bella Twins win via pinfall over Team LayCool.

Backstage Maryse was confronting guest host Johnny Knoxville about the mysterious letters she's been getting. Knoxville said it wasn't him. Just then Dibiase walked in and yelled at Knoxville from across the room. Knoxville warned Dibiase not to walk forward but it was too late. The giant high five hand slapped Dibiase down to the floor. Maryse ran over to see if he was ok yelling at Knoxville. She tossed her shoes at Knoxville. As Maryse was standing up the big hand came and swatted her from behind knocking her onto Dibiase on the floor.

They showed highlights from last week's mixed tag match where Eve and R-Truth defeated Maryse and Dibiase. After the match a mysterious message came on the Titantron for Maryse "I Will Have You."

Michael Cole introduced a preview clip from "Jackass 3-D." They shot paint guns as one of their stunt guys jumped onto a huge inflated balloon in a lake and bounced high up into the air.

Justin Roberts introduced tonight's special guest host Johnny Knoxville. Knoxville told the WWE fans to go see his new movie 'Jackass 3-D' on October 15th. He said that's all have a good night and tried to flee the ring fast. He was stopped as Ted Dibiase's music hit and he came to the ring with Maryse. Knoxville told Dibiase no hard feelings. Dibiase asked if he has any idea who he is and what he's capable of doing. Knoxville cracked a joke about Dibiase prompting the Fortunate Son to slap him in the face. He followed up with a sleeper hold then tossed Knoxville to the mat.

Suddenly, the Titantron had a new message appear on it, surprising Maryse and Dibiase. The Titantron said "You Are Mine." With Dibiase and Maryse staring out of the ring, Goldust appeared in the ring behind them. Goldust took down Dibiase, then said on the mic to him "I don't want you." Maryse was scared in the corner, so Goldust went over to her. He said "I don't want you either." Finally he went over and dropped onto the mat with the Million Dollar Belt. After doing his breathing he said "I want you," and began to clutch the belt in his hands.

Lawler said coming up next is the 20 Man battle royal. Various contenders were shown on sreen, with the winner getting the #1 Contender spot for the WWE Title at Bragging Rights PPV.

Raw returned with an outside shot of the Wichita Kansas arena. Cole introduced a video piece about the charitable efforts of the WWE with Make a Wish Foundation. Shown in the photos were former superstars including The Rock and Hulk Hogan as well as Batista, John Cena, Melina, Mark Henry, Kofi Kingsotn, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin. John Cena said the happiness of the children really lifts his spirits. The CEO David Williams praised John Cena and WWE for their efforts.

Backstage, Cena staring at the floor. David Otunga walked in and told him Nexus isn't all bad. Otunga said Barrett can be somewhat demanding at times. He told Cena if he ever needs to talk to just let him know. Otunga walked out and Cena stared blankly.

Cole and Lawler talked about how Cena's been ordered to help Wade Barrett win the battle royal tonight. Cole said Edge has been traded to Smackdown so he won't be in the match, and neither will Chris Jericho. They showed what Orton did to him last week with the punt kick. Back to the ring for Justin Roberts to introduce competitors for tonight's match.

The Winner of this Battle Royal gets to face Randy Orton at the Bragging Rights PPV for the WWE Championship. Competing in the match: Heath Slater, Santino Marella, Vladimir Kozlov, John Morrison, R-Truth, Sheamus. John Cena's theme music started up, but Cena didn't come out. The music stopped and Nexus' music started instead. Wade, Heath Slater, Otunga and Gabriel walked out with Cena trailing them. Raw went to commercial with about half the competitors in the ring.

Upon Raw's ring the match got started. Also competing were Tyson Kidd, DH Smith, Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, Zack Ryder, Darren Young, William Regal, Ted Dibiase, The Miz and Primo. Eliminated first was Evan Bourne, by Sheamus. DH Smith got eliminated next, then John Cena tossed Regal out. At one point, Mark Henry pressed Ryder over head and tossed him out of the ring, then did the same to Primo. He went over and attacked Sheamus next. Moments later, Henry had Barrett pressed overhead. Cena rushed over and yanked him down. Henry turned around and yelled at Henry to ask what he was doing. Nexus all pounced on Henry and eventually tossed him over the rope.

The Nexus turned their attention to Cena asking why Cena didn't help toss out Henry. Otunga yelled at Cena that he talked to him about this. Cena grabbed Otunga and tossed him out, causing Barrett to yell at Cena. Cena said Otunga isn't him, but Barrett pointed to the Nexus band on their arms. Raw went to break with them arguing.

During break Barrett eliminated Vlad Kozlov, and Nexus members eliminated Darren Young from the apron. Cena started to stand guard in front of Barrett in the corner at one point, fighting off any WWE Superstars who came at him. Morrison clotheslined Slater over the top rope to eliminate him. Truth and Morrison were about to toss Barrett out, but Cena rushed over to make a save. Kidd got eliminated by Morrison next. Morrison with an impressive springboard move into a leg scissors on Miz to toss him out.

It came down to a final four of Barrett, Cena, Morrison and Sheamus. Morrison ended up on the apron with Barrett charging at him. John did an impressive pendulum type kick but in the process he fell off the apron to eliminate himself. Next, with Barrett down by the corner, Sheamus and Cena fought it out. Sheamus missed on a running kick and got hung up in the ropes, so Cena rushed over to eliminate him. Cena rested on the top rope, then turned around to see Barrett was the final competitor left. Cena clapped his hands ready for a fight, but Barrett pointed for Cena to leave the ring. Cena stood his ground as Barrett continued to order him to leave.

The crowd started a chant and Cena put his forehead right up against Barrett. Barrett yelled at him again and Cena restrained himself from fighting. He finally went over and stepped out to the apron. Cena dropped down with both feet to the floor. Wade Barrett flashed a wicked smile as he was declared the winner.

Winner: Wade Barrett wins the 20 Man Battle Royal. Barrett will face Randy Orton for the WWE Title at Bragging Rights PPV.

Barrett's celebration was shortlived as The Viper Randy Orton's theme music. Orton got in the ring and paced around locking eyes with Barrett. Orton kept staring him down and held the WWE Title up high for him to see. Raw ended with the two in an intense stare down in the ring.

Smackdown Results 06/04/10

Smackdown recap from Dallas, TX:

Smackdown opened with General Manager Teddy Long on camera backstage for a special announcement. He said over Memorial Day weekend, The Undertaker was found "in a vegetative state" by his brother Kane. Long said there's an ongoing investigation to find who or what was responsible for this attack. The Smackdown intro video kicked off from there.

Grisham and Striker were on hand for the commentary. They reiterated what Teddy Long had just announced, and reminded fans of Drew McIntyre's rematch for the Intercontinental title tonight against Kofi Kingston.

The arena went dark and the ominous druid theme music came on. Eight hooded and fully-cloaked druids came out from backstage carrying a coffin which they placed at ringside. After several moments with the druids standing around the ringside area, Kane's pyro exploded and the Big Red Monster arrived to the ring.

A podium with a mic was set up in the ring along with a wreath as if it were some sort of funeral. Kane backed away for a moment to collect himself, then told druids to open the coffin. He walked over and looked at the empty coffin and seemed upset. As ominous music kept going, Kane talked on the mic saying the most feared and respected force in WWE, his brother The Undertaker will no longer walk amongst them. Kane delivered a sort of eulogy about Undertaker's reign of darkness in WWE coming to an end. He made it sound as if an icon and their bond of brotherhood was "gone forever".

Kane said his brother will rise from the dead no more. He said soon those responsible will also be gone, as he will commit them to the depths of hell, a torturous existence they can't start to fathom. Kane was now screaming that there will be Vengeance never before seen, felt or imagined. Kane shoved the mic and podium down in a rage then knelt down like his brother's classic ring pose. Kane crawled over to the ropes near the coffin crying, saying he should have been there for him.

Smackdown returned with Grisham talking about the somber and chilling mood in the air after Kane's talk in the ring. Tony Chimel introduced World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. Swagger came out wearing an Oklahoma Sooners football jersey. Striker and Grisham said they don't know who will take the place of Undertaker at Fatal 4-Way if anyone.

MVP vs. Jack Swagger

Late in the match, MVP hit a Fisherman's Buster for a pinfall, but Swagger kicked out. From there, MVP stood Swagger up, with Swagger countering his move and hitting a Belly-to-Belly suplex for his own near fall. In the closing moments, Swagger went for his running Vader Bomb move on MVP near the corner. MVP got up and swiped Swagger's leg to make him hit the mat face first. Swagger stood up in the corner and MVP charged for his running kick. However, Swagger moved out of the way then got a school pinfall on MVP for the win.

Swagger escaped to the outside and grabbed his title to head up the ramp, with MVP on his feet in the ring. Just then, Curt Hawkins rushed into the ring and attacked MVP from behind. MVP staved off the attack, but soon Vance Archer was there to give him a boot kick. Archer hit his inverted DDT to bring MVP down, then Hawkins did a flying elbow off the ropes on him.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins via pinfall over MVP.

Backstage, Vickie Guerrero walked into Teddy Long's office and told him as GM he needs to get ahold of himself. Vickie said Teddy needs to take action to find a replacement for Undertaker at the Fatal 4-Way. As consultant, she suggested Dolph Ziggler as the guy to take Taker's spot in the match. Long then said every man on the roster will get an opportunity, and compete in a Smackdown battle royal tonight for the spot.

Smackdown returned with Striker leading into highlights from the WWE NXT finale show, where it was down to Justin Gabriel, David Otunga and Wade Barrett. They competed in a Triple Threat which Barrett won, and he later was named winner of NXT in the Pros Poll.

CM Punk was putting his mask on backstage in a locker room, when Kane smashed the door in and grabbed him. He started yelling at Punk and asked "Did you do it?" Punk said he and the SES had no connection, but offered their services to help a fallen brother. Kane said "Brother" and then shoved Punk out of the way. Smackdown went to a commercial with Kane fuming.

Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston
Intercontinental Title match

During the match, as Drew was dominating Kofi, Matt Hardy was shown walking down stairs in the arena with a ticket in hand. Matt had been suspended last week per Drew's note from Vince McMahon to Teddy Long. Hardy held up a ticket to show off as the fans chanted for him and Drew glared out at him at ringside.

Matt applauded for Kofi Kingston once he had knocked Drew down outside the ring. Drew took over outside by smashing Kofi into the steel steps then hit a suplex on the floor with Matt watching.

At one point in the action, McIntyre dodged Kingston outside the ring when Kofi jumped over the rings at him. Drew backed up a bit then threw a backhand at Matt Hardy to knock him down front row. Drew tossed Kofi back into the ring, as Matt tried to climb over the crowd barrier. Several security guys came over to restrain him. Back in the ring, Kofi countered Drew's move with the SOS to bring Drew down for a winning pin.

After Kofi's victory, Matt pretended to walk away casually then turned and got by the security. Matt got into the ring and hit a Twist of Fate to take Drew down. Security chased Matt into the crowd and out of the arena.

Winner: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over Drew McIntyre to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Kane was shown in the locker room kneeling down in a moment of silence. Rey Mysterio was shown nearby kneeling with him and started to offer a prayer for Undertaker. Kane became upset and said he doesn't need Rey's sympathy, then said maybe Rey had something to do with what happened since he lost to Undertaker last week. Rey said he had nothing to do with it, but Kane wasn't accepting it. Rey backed away out of the locker room.

Smackdown returned with World Champ Jack Swagger backstage, belt on his shoulder. Swagger said in the state of Texas, the University of Oklahoma invented "Swagger". He talked about starting all four years for the Oklahoma Sooners, and how they beat the Texas Longhorns all four years. Swagger told everyone to stand up so he could sing the University of Oklahoma fight song. He began to sing "Boomer Sooner" with a bouncing ball on the screen for the words, until Kane walked up. The song ended as Kane asked "was it you?"

Kelly Kelly vs. Rosa Mendes

Michelle and Layla came out to the top of the stage to watch/distract Kelly during the match. That allowed Rosa to gain control. Rosa hit a suplex for a near fall. Rosa put a headscissors on Kelly down on the mat to wear her down. As Rosa got up and ran against the ropes, Kelly jumped on her and started pounding her head to the mat.

Kelly went on a tear with the momentum. Rosa whipped her to the corner, but Kelly hit her on the charge, then jumped with a splash pin. In the end, Kelly kicked Rosa in the gut and then drove her to the mat face first with her leg on Rosa's neck. The co-Women's champs Team LayCool was shocked up on the ramp with Kelly smiling out at them.

Winner: Kelly Kelly wins via pinfall over Rosa Mendes.

Big Show was in the locker room with Hornswoggle playing cards and having fun. Kane walked in and Hornswoggle took off running. Kane confronted Big Show saying Taker has always had his number. Show said he had nothing to do with Undertaker's condition. Show told Kane don't accuse him, because it would be a giant mistake. He put a hand on Kane's shoulder, but Kane pulled away then kicked the card table down.

Smackdown roster Battle Royal

The winner of this Smackdown roster Battle Royal would get the final spot in the Fatal 4-Way World Title match, replacing The Undertaker. Rey Mysterio was introduced first. Next was Dolph Ziggler and then Smackdown went to commercial.

When they returned, Luke Gallows, Finlay, Christian, Caylen Croft, Trent Berretta, MVP, JTG, Curt Hawkins, Vance Archer, Chavo and Chris Masters were all in the ring. Drew McIntyre was introduced and came to the Battle Royal next, holding the back of his neck still. Kofi Kingston was introduced next followed by Kane last. Shad Gaspar was missing from the ring of the roster members. Serena and CM Punk were at ringside to watch.

During the match, Mysterio rushed out under the ropes and tried to unmask CM Punk. Luke Gallows came out after him, but Rey ducked and attacked. CM Punk and Serena ran up the ramp, as Rey got back in the ring. Smackdown went to commercial.

A bunch of guys all tried to throw Kane out from the corner. Luke Gallows came over and started attacking them to help Kane get free. Gallows tossed Caylen Croft out of the ring, then Kane knocked Masters to the outside. Berretta was tossed up high over the ropes, nearly landing on his Dude Busters partner outside the ring. JTG was thrown over next. Kane and Gallows met in the center of the ring and started to punch back and forth. Kane took Gallows down with punches and kept punching away. McIntyre and Kofi eliminated each other over the ropes.

It came down to a final three of Rey Mysterio, Kane and Luke Gallows. Kane gave a big boot to Rey to knock him down, then went after Gallows. Near the ropes, Kane prepared for a chokeslam. Suddenly, a hooded mystery man from SES appeared and got on the apron to kick Kane in the back. Kane turned and that allowed Gallows to attack. He tossed Kane over the ropes but Kane held on. From the apron, Kane grabbed the mystery guy and Gallows each by the throat. He shoved mystery man off the apron, then got in the ring and walked Gallows to the other side, pushing him over the top rope.

It was just Rey vs Kane for Undertaker's spot now. The two battled for several minutes, with Rey able to stun Kane a bit. With Rey on the apron, he jumped off the top rope for a move, but Kane grabbed him around the throat. As Kane went for the Chokeslam, Rey turned it into a headscissors to toss Kane out over the top rope. Rey now joins CM Punk, Big Show and Jack Swagger in the World Title Fatal 4-way!

Winner: Rey Mysterio wins the Smackdown roster Battle Royal to become the final participant in Fatal 4-Way's World Title match.

Raw Revelations: Raw is Trump's

Last night saw another one of those 3-hour Raw episodes, the Raw 3-for-All but was it necessary? It seems WWE loves putting on 3 hour shows to see what sorts of new "Did You Know?" facts they can air, such as "Raw had more viewers from 8-11PM then any other channel in the world". Maybe it was scheduled just to bring fans up to speed on who owns which titles since they all moved around so rapidly. In fact, the WWE Title and World Heavyweight title each changed about 3 times within the past several weeks. Much of last night's 3 hour show was spent showing replays of earlier events and last week's events, as well as a lengthy in-ring segment featuring Goldust, The Miz and Hornswoggle. That routine of course helped put Miz over again as another annoying heel on Raw, who rarely wrestles but has taken Chris Jericho's spot on the show.

Still we had some pretty exciting matches with all 3 major titles on the line last night, as well as the Intercontinental Title. Three titles were successfully defended while the WWE Title was on the line as it had been vacated last week due to the Legacy attack on Batista. Randy Orton, Triple H, John Cena and Big Show did battle in a Fatal Fourway. Show fell victim to the Pedigree, Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on HHH, but Orton ended up winning it by hitting the RKO on Show. Again, Batista's title reign seems so inconsequential right about now, but perhaps its to set up a future program between a returning Batista and HHH. After all, Batista was asking them to get him his WWE Title belt as he was loaded into the ambulance.

The big surprise of the night was not Randy Orton winning the Fatal Fourway to become WWE Champion again, but instead the announcement of Raw being sold to a new owner. Mr. McMahon reluctantly got into the ring and introduced the new owner, Donald Trump! Trump appeared "via satellite" which of course was a previously taped bit, as you could see Vince tried several times to make it appear he and Trump were bantering. That move is interesting, probably set up to bring more attention to WWE yet again, but Trump is by no means a great actor or guy to be running wrestling. However if you start seeing real money raining down from the rafters on Raw, expect ticket sales and attendance to be instant sellouts.

Best match of the night was easily the World Heavyweight Triple Threat, with CM Punk stealing the win by yanking Jeff Hardy off a pinfall and throwing him into the steel steps before pinning Edge. Punk is definitely taking pages out of Edge's own opportunist book. The match though saw all sorts of original spots and maneuvers between the three men, including Punk leapfrogging Edge as Edge speared Jeff. Another spot saw Punk bulldog one guy as he clotheslined the other. Some great action and the Hardy-Punk fight at the Bash promises to be a good one too.

In case you were wondering, here's the order of elimination and who eliminated who in last night's 10 Man Battle Royal to determine #1 contender for Orton's WWE Title.

1st elimination - Matt Hardy by Big Show
2nd elimination - MVP by Big Show
3rd elimination - Big Show by Cena, HHH, Rhodes, Dibiase, Kofi & Regal
4th elimination - Kofi Kingston by Legacy
5th elimination - William Regal by Legacy
6th elimination - Ted Dibiase by Cena
7th elimination - Cody Rhodes by HHH
8th elimination - The Miz by Cena & HHH
9th elimination - John Cena by HHH
Winner: Triple H becomes #1 Contender for WWE Title

I was expecting Miz to somehow eliminate Cena and then HHH to easily dispatch of Miz to win it, but nonetheless Triple H took this one. It'll now be Orton defending against HHH next week on Raw in a Last Man Standing match, prior to the Bash, per GM Trump's orders. I'm not quite sure if we may get HHH and Cena again in a match, but they definitely teased it in the Fatal Fourway and 10 Man Battle Royal. With Batista on the shelf for months, there's not many other guys available besides those four for the WWE Title picture. But we now have at least three matches set up for "The Bash 2009", with Triple H going against Orton for the WWE Title, Jeff Hardy going against Punk for the World Heavyweight and Rhodes/Dibiase facing The Colons for the Unified Tag titles.

So now we await next week and the arrival of Donald Trump to the arena to run the show!
