Antonio Cesaro defeated Justin Gabriel by pinfall in a non-title match.  Aksana was ringside.  Before the match, Cesaro said the word "exceptional" in five different languages.  For the closing moments of the match, Gabriel had his fast-paced offensive attack going to speed things up.  He hit a crossbody and nearly scored a 3 count.  He followed up by climbing to the top rope, but Cesaro takes him down, then hits the Neutralizer for the big pinfall win.

Layla defeated Natalya by pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Natalya put a modified Torture Rack submission on layla, and kept attacking her abdomen.  She hit a clothesline, followed by a standing pin attempt.  Natalya kept on attacking Layla's hurt midsection, but Layla fought back with punches and kicks.  Eventually her roundhouse kick gives her the pinfall win.

Damien Sandow defeated Alex Riley by pinfall.  Sandow cut his standard promo about the masses before the match.  Riley came out to a decent ovation, and received chants from the crowd during the match.  He had some momentum, including a bit spinebuster for a 2 count.  Riley hit a clothesline from the top rope, but Sandow manages to kick out of another pinfall.  From there, Sandow dropped A-Ry throat-first on the top rope, then hit his neckbreaker finisher for the win.

R-Truth and Kofi Kingston defeated Primo & Epico by pinfall in a non-title matchup.  Late in this one, Primo cut off Truth from tagging in Kofi.  Truth tried to fight back against Epico, but couldn't get his offense going.  He eventually escaped for the hot tag to Kofi, who kicked things into high gear with his high-flying moves.  Kofi hits his Boom Drop, then does a flip off the top rope for a pinfall.  Primo breaks things up.  As the action breaks down, Truth helps Kofi behind the ref's back to hit Trouble in Paradise for the win.

The latest WWE Superstars results featured matches with Kofi Kingston, The Usos, Darren Young, Epico, and Kane.

Kofi Kingston defeated Michael McGillicutty by pinfall.  Late in the match, Kofi was in control and hit a big dropkick on McGill, but McGill avoided Kofi's finisher.  Mike hit Kofi with a dropkick from the second turnbuckle, but couldn't get the 3 count.  Kofi was able to hit a quick kick to McGill's head to drop him to the mat for the win.

The Uso's defeated Hunico and Camacho by pinfall.  Late in the match, Hunico brought Jimmy off the top rope with a bodyscissors takedown.  He had a pinfall but only got the 2 count.  Everyone started to brawl in the ring, with the ref trying to restrain Camacho.  The Uso's managed to hit a Superkick on Epico to get the win.

Raw Preview 05/07/12

Tonight's Raw comes one week after several heinous attacks were perpetrated against top WWE superstars.  In the opening segment last week, Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis called down his top star, Brock Lesnar, to compliment him on a great fight at Extreme Rules.  Despite Brock losing, it looked like Laurinaitis was still giving Brock the "face of the WWE" title.  However, WWE COO Triple H came to the ring to disagree, and told Lesnar they would not bow in to his previous demands.  This clearly upset Lesnar, who proceeded to attack and injur Triple H's arm.  The latest reports indicated the WWE COO would need surgery for the injury.  Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar's status with WWE is in limbo.  Will he be officially fired on Monday Night, or will John Laurinaitis reinstate Brock?

Also attacked on last Monday's show was an already-injured John Cena.  Cena had his arm in a sling after fighting Brock Lesnar the night before at Extreme Rules.  While Cena came up on the winning end of the match, he did suffer several injuries, including his left arm due to Lesnar's MMA arm hold.  Later in the night, John Laurinaitis came to the ring where Cena was to announce his next Pay-Per-View opponent.  Laurinaitis seemed to reveal that Cena would be fighting Lord Tensai.  However, as Tensai and his assistant Sakimoto surrounded Cena, it was Laurinaitis who hit Cena from behind, and later smashed a steel chair on Cena's injured arm.  Laurinaitis also announced he will be Cena's opponent at Over the Limit.  What will John Cena have to say regarding this attack and upcoming match?  Will he be present on Raw?

WWE Raw also saw the crowning of new tag team champions, as the team of R-Truth and Kofi Kingston were able to defeat Primo and Epico in a match.  The duo had a successful match on Smackdown as well as they took on Hunico and Camacho in tag action.  During that match, the former champs Primo and Epico, along with Rosa Mendes and talent manager Abraham Washington were all watching.  What does AW have in store for the current tag champs?  Will he be signing the former champs to a deal and help them regain their glory?

Check out Monday Night Raw tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

WWE Superstars Results 02/16/12

WWE Superstars Results 02/16/12:

Josh Matthews welcomed fans to the show as Maxine made her way to the ring.  Striker and Matthews were on camera and showed Maxine attacking Kaitlyn last night after Bateman's tag match from NXT.

Aksana defeated Maxine by pinfall.  Aksana had control early with several submission holds and near falls.  Maxine managed to trip her up against the ropes to gain control and then worked a variety of holds of her own.  Late in the match, Maxine sent Aksana towards the ropes.  Aksana ran back but slid under Maxine's legs, then got up, grabbed Maxine and slammed her down hard with a spinebuster.  She secured Maxine's leg for the pinfall win.

They showed a WWE social media comparison of Rock and Cena's Twitter followers.  Rock currently has more than Cena.

Matthews introduced video highlights of Shawn Michaels' appearance on Raw this past Monday to try to get Triple H to fight Undertaker at Wrestlemania.  The video included the latest video message from Taker to Triple H as well.  Josh Matthews was back on commentary, but made no more mention of the Raw segment, just the Superstars main event.

Jack Swagger won via submission over Mason Ryan.  During the match, Ryan escaped the Ankle Lock and went for a Full Nelson, but Swagger managed to get over the ropes to the apron and then snapped Ryan's neck against the ropes.  From there, Swagger was able to smash Ryan's ankle against the steel steps, then clipped him with a dive in the ring.  Swagger locked on the Ankle Lock to make Ryan quickly tap.

They showed the Raw Rebound featuring John Cena and Kane's ongoing feud.  This past Monday also had Eve kissing John Cena after he saved her from Kane's clutches.  The show ended with Ryder getting shoved off the stage in a wheelchair by Kane, and taken away on a stretcher.

Primo and Epico w/Rosa Mendes defeated Alex Riley and Santino Marella by pinfall.
Late in the match, Santino did a head-first dive onto Primo.  He pulled out The Cobra sock and prepared to strike, but a distraction from Epico caused him to go punch him down.  Primo hit Santino from behind and he fell out of the ring.  Rosa yelled stuff in Spanish as he was holding his head on the floor and Superstars hit break.

Primo had control of Santino late in the match.  Primo took away the Cobra sock and stomped on it on the mat, then kicked it over to Epico.  The heels kept dominating Santino, keeping him away from a tag to A-Ry.  Santino eventually hit a move called "Santino Stunner," a jawbreaker on Primo to break away and make a hot tag to A-Ry.  Riley came in all revved up and beating up Epico for a near fall.  Primo came in to break things up.

Santino came in to attack Primo, but got sent out of the ring.  A-Ry turned his attention to clothesline Primo out of the ring.  Riley went for a finisher on his shoulders, but Epico elbowed his way out of it, then shoved Riley to the corner.  As Riley stumbled back, Epico hit the Backstabber on him for the win.

WWE Superstars Results 01/05/12:

The latest WWE Superstars results for 01/05/12 opened with commentator Scott Stanford hyping the main event of Ezekiel Jackson vs. Jinder Mahal to start off the new year. Air Boom arrived out for the opening match as Josh Matthews and Stanford appeared briefly on camera.

Evan Bourne vs. Epico

Kofi Kingston accompanied his tag team partner Bourne to the ring for the first match of the night. Epico arrived out next, accompanied by Primo and Rosa Mendes.

Bourne managed to gain the advantage after several big moves including a double knees to the chest jump from the corner. Rosa got on the apron after a near fall to distract a bit. Bourne and Epico traded more near falls with Bourne able to deliver a fast kick to knock Epico to the mat. From there, he went to the corner area, but Primo came over to distract. Kofi rushed over and jumped off the apron to take out Primo, then Bourne fought off Epico before hitting Air Bourne.

Winner: Evan Bourne won via pinfall over Epico.

They showed a replay of highlights from the first-ever Royal Rumble in 1988. Hacksaw Jim Duggan won the match after eliminating One Man Gang.

Mason Ryan vs. JTG

Stanford speculated that Tamina wasn't ringside tonight due to the Usos displeasure with her seeing JTG lately. Early on, JTG tried to jump at Ryan, but he caught him and hit a fallaway slam to toss JTG across the ring.

Later, JTG had a side headlock on Ryan, but Mason powered out after getting to his feet. JTG tried to whip him, but got reverse-whipped and then backdropped before receiving multiple clotheslines from Ryan. Ryan clotheslined him hard in the corner, then came from off the ropes to boot him down. Ryan put a Full nelson on JTG and turned it into a backslam finisher.

Winner: Mason Ryan won via pinfall over JTG.

A WWE Did You Know? Factoid came up on the screen saying that the WWE Network of Twitter profiles has over 15 million followers, led by The Rock with other 1 million followers.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Tyson Kidd

Early on, Yoshi gained control after leapfrogging Kidd then clotheslining him out of the ring. Yoshi went for the baseball slide dropkick, but Kidd jumped onto the apron with a kick to Yoshi's head to regain control.

Later in the match, Yoshi missed on his flying kick from the corner. Tyson went for a springboard moonsault from the ropes onto Yoshi on the mat but missed. Yoshi followed up with a roundhouse kick to get the pinfall win.

Winner: Yoshi Tatsu won via pinfall over Tyson Kidd.

Highlights from Raw were shown for the main event 6-man elimination tag match. Kane didn't show up for his team, so it was Cena, Ryder and Big Show vs. Jack Swagger and Mark Henry. Big Show and Mark Henry received a double countout to eliminate themselves early. With just Swagger left, Cena managed to get the win on Swagger using Five Knuckle Shuffle and the AA. Post-match saw Kane appear as he popped up through the ring while Cena had gone up the ramp looking for him.

As Cena rushed back to the ring, Kane punched him down from the apron then put a hand over his mouth until Cena passed out on the floor. Kane got back in the ring to grab Ryder, trying to pull him down into the hole in the ring. However, Cena managed to get back into the ring and grabbed Ryder's arms to pull him free. Moments later a huge pyro explosion shot flames up from the hole in the ring, leaving Cena and Ryder stunned.

Ezekiel Jackson arrived out for the main event match.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Jinder Mahal

Early "U-S-A" chants broke out as Mahal finally took off his turbine before the bell sounded. Jackson won the early power contest, shoving Jinder down to the mat. Later, Jinder managed to get behind Zeke with a waist lock, but Jackson elbowed to get out of it.

Jackson dominate most of the match, with Jinder trying to kick his leg out. Jackson still withstood it and started overpowering Mahal. Moments later, Mahal used a series of neckbreakers for a near fall. He used a side Russian leg sweep and a headlock to try to wear down Zeke more.

Later in the match, Mahal escaped the Torture Rack and was able to shove Jackson shoulder-first into the corner ringpost. From there, Jinder sat on Jackson's back and put on the Camel Clutch submission. Jackson tried to withstand it but was ultimately forced to tap out.

Winner: Jinder Mahal won by submission over Ezekiel Jackson.

Justin Gabriel vs. Drew McIntyre

As Drew was dominating early in the match, Josh Matthews brought up how Justin Gabriel recently took up rock climbing, and also how he's been called the "Cape Town Werewolf" as a Twilight reference for his good looks.

Justin made a comeback in the match with a springboard moonsault among his moves. Gabriel was on the outside, but went for a springboard clothesline at one point, but Drew clotheslined him down from the air. From there, Drew hit the Future Shock DDT to grab the victory by pinfall.

Late in the match, Barreta got a legdrop move onto Hunico through the ropes. He followed up with a huge moonsault from off the corner, to get a near fall. Striker noted that Barreta was favoring his right knee. He hit a running knee move on Hunico for another near fall. Hunico countered Barreta moments later and slammed him backwards. Hunico finished with a diving flip to splash onto Trent Barreta for the win. His posse member came in the ring to give him props for the win.

Post-match, Hunico got on the mic and spoke in Spanish a bit, then switched to English, then back to Spanish, saying he wouldn't waste his breath on all the people there.

Riley made a comeback late in the match and blasted Swagger down with a few clotheslines. Swagger fought back, but then Riley hit a Spinebuster on him. Riley went for a finisher, but Swagger countered for a belly-to-belly suplex. Swagger went for his Vader Bomb from the corner, but Riley got both legs up. Later, Riley went for a finisher, with Swagger sliding off. Riley sat on him for a pin, but Swagger turned into a near Ankle Lock. Riley flipped out of that and slammed Swagger with a DDT for a very near fall.

The close saw Swagger run from off the ropes and clip Riley's leg and then put the Ankle Lock on. Riley was forced to tap out.

Winner: Jack Swagger wins via submission over Alex Riley.

They showed highlights of Monday's Raw with the 2011 Slammy Awards. Awards went out to CM Punk, Undertaker for kicking out of HHH's Tombstone, and The Rock for challenging John Cena for a Wrestlemania 28 match. The main event featured Mark Henry vs. Cena, but the big news was that Kane returned to interrupt, revealing his new mask after he chokeslammed Cena to the mat.

Stanford and Matthews talked about the various TLC PPV matches. After that, Air Boom made their big entrance to the ring for the main event match.

Air Boom vs. Epico & Primo

Rosa Mendes joined her tag team at ringside for the match. Stanford joked with Matthews that he heard he was learning to do the Lambada because of Rosa.

Midway through the match, Primo tossed Kofi out through the ropes and began to taunt the Boom Clap. That resulted in Kofi clearing Primo and Epico out of the ring, then Bourne launching out over the ropes onto them. Rosa screamed in Spanish as Superstars went to break.

Superstars returned with Bourne doing a flip move from Primo's back onto him. Primo took over moments later and then distracted the ref so Epico could kick Bourne through the ropes. The heels kept working on Bourne after break. Bourne was able to escape from Primo with his double knees to the chest move and tagged in Kofi who came in on fire.

Kofi hit the double leg boom drop on Epico. Kofi started the clap to signal Trouble in Paradise. Kofi went to the corner after missing the kick, and hit a pendulum kick when Epico rushed at him. The action broke down with Primo throwing Bourne over the ropes. Epico ran against the ropes and Primo made a blind tag. When Superstars returned, Stanford and Matthews talked about the upcoming Slammy Awards. Stanford introduced footage from Raw with the WWE championship Triple Threat TLC match contract signing. John Laurinaitis was seen watching it all from up on stage.

Evan Bourne arrived out from backstage for the main event match.

Evan Bourne vs. Epico

Hunico and Rosa Mendes joined Epico at ringside area. Late in the match, Epico had control has he hit Primo hard in the back before hitting three straight suplexes for a near fall. Bourne barely escaped and tried to get to the ropes, but Epico kept up the attack.

He went for a submission with Bourne on his back being stretched out. Rosa screamed for Bourne to give up, but Bourne fought free and tossed Epico across the ring.

Primo came over the side of the ring and caused a distraction. Epico was able to get up and avoid Bourne's attack, then hit a Backstabber for the win.

Jey Uso exploded at one point to take control of Epico with fastpaced offense. After a hip splash, Jey took the near fall with Primo getting in to break things up. The ref was distracted by Jimmy and Epico, so Primo hit a Backstabber on Jey Uso. Moments later, Jimmy did a flying move out onto Primo outside the ring. However, in the ring Jey was stunned and Epico hit another backstabber on him for the win.

Winners: Primo & Epico win via pinfall over The Usos.

Meanwhile, Trent Barreta was in control, until Tyson got both boots up into his face. Trent managed to baseball slide under Kidd to the outside, but then got kicked in the face. Kidd took control from there.

Later, Kidd put on a submission headlock type hold on the mat and yelled at the ref to "Ask him!" Trent made a comeback to get Kidd down with a swinging neckbreaker, then kicked Kidd as he tried to come at him through the ropes.

For the close of the match, Barreta climbed up on the corner for a moonsault/leg drop and hit it on Kidd. Kidd managed to kick out of the pinfall. WWE Superstars closed this week's show with a replay of parts of The Rock and Cena on Raw facing off against Awesome Truth. Cena and Rock traded a few jabs at one another, until Miz interrupted and talked trash. Raw ended with The Rock hitting Rock Bottom on both Miz and Truth, leaving Cena surprised at the fact he didn't let him do the Attitude Adjustment.
