WWE Releases 6 Superstars, 1 Diva on Thursday

The WWE has reportedly been cleaning house as of Thursday, June 12, with a total of seven superstars or pro wrestling talents released by the company. Among them are mostly superstars who weren’t seen much recently on Raw, Smackdown or the pay-per-view events. However, WWE diva Aksana was featured recently as part of a divas match, but was let go by the company. Brodus Clay and former GM Teddy Long were also part of the releases.

6/12 Update: Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, known for their affiliation with 3MB, have both been released by WWE. Referee Marc Harris was also released, bringing the total to 10 as of Thursday afternoon.

6/12 Update: JTG has been released as of early Thursday evening, bringing the total to 11.

The full list of released superstars includes: Aksana, Brodus Clay, Evan Bourne, Camacho, Yoshi Tatsu, Curt Hawkins, and Teddy Long. Long served as GM for the Smackdown show as well as ECW/NXT for some time, and had recurring roles on Raw, as well as appearances on multiple pay-per-views. Of those named, Teddy Long appeared in the WWF/WWE since 1998, first debuting as a referee, giving him the longest tenure of anyone else let go.

Curt Hawkins is a former tag team champion along with Zack Ryder. Evan Bourne is also a former tag champion, holding the belt once along with Kofi Kingston. Bourne was sidelined by injury in March 2012 when a car accident resulted in a broken foot with five dislocated bones. Bourne was also suspended twice by WWE for failing their wellness policy testing.

As expected, WWE wished all of those released, “best of luck in their future endeavors.”

Main Event Results 02/19/14

Main Event results from Colorado Springs, CO:

The Shield defeated Sin Cara and Los Matadores via pinfall. At one point, Sin Cara gained control after hitting a tornado DDT on Reigns. Cara tagged in Diego who went through several moves on offense. All the superstars ended up getting involved in the action. El Torito hit a senton right in front of the referee, but there was no disqualification called. Later, Reigns hit a double spear to take down Sin Cara and Fernando. Rollins performed his finisher on Diego to score the pinfall.

Cameron defeated Aksana via pinfall.  The match lasted over 3 minutes of TV time. Aksana attacked Cameron early, then went after her with knee drops to the face.  Aksana remained in control for most of the bout, but at one point Cameron surprised her and everyone with the rollup pinfall for the win.

Kofi Kingston defeated Curtis Axel via disqualification. Ryback was ringside for Axel during the match. Kingston had a shot at Trouble in Paradise early on, but Axel rolled to the outside. Ryback looked like he was going to enter the ring, but Mark Henry’s music hit.  Henry came down to the ring to even the odds, providing Kofi some help if needed. After a break, Kofi was dominating the match. Axel got in a bit of offense of his own, but Kofi regained control. Ryback soon had enough of it and began attacking Kofi, causing the ref to call for the bell. Post-match, Henry got in the ring to clear it. Kofi hit a running dive on the outside on Ryback and Axel. Kofi and Henry celebrated in-ring to close out Main Event.

Main Event Results 02/12/14

Main Event results from Ontario, CA:

The Wyatt Family defeated Sin Cara & Los Matadores via pinfall. Late in this one, Diego had a near fall on Rowan after a move off the corner, but Harper came in to break it up.  Harper got knocked to the outside, then Torito tried to jump out onto him.  Instead, Harper caught Torito, who managed to land on his feet. Fernando jumped out to take down Harper, with Bray coming over to toss Fernando into the crowd barricade.  Bray started stalking El Torito, but Sin Cara got in the way, with Rowan yanking Cara to the apron.  Cara kicked Rowan down, then Diego tagged in Cara.  Diego rushed across the ring to dive out on Harper.  Meanwhile, Cara dropkicked Rowan down inside the ring and ran over to punch on him in the ring corner. Bray Wyatt made a blind tag on Rowan's back.  Rowan charged at Cara near the ropes and fell to the outside.  Moments after Cara tried to put Bray away, Wyatt took him down with a running elbow, then hit Sister Abigail for the pinfall win.

Natalya defeated Aksana via submission.  Natalya had an early Sharpshooter attempt, but Aksana broke it at the ropes.  She fought back with some knees to Natalya and then put a hold on her to wear her down a bit.  Aksana had a near fall after a neckbreaker.  Moments later, Natalya hit a huge clothesline for a near fall of her own.  Aksana had a Spine buster later for a near fall as well. The finish happened as Aksana crawled over to Natalya on the mat and tried to kick her.  Natalya grabbed her leg and quickly put her into a Sharpshooter to make Aksana tap out.

Big E Langston defeated Drew McIntyre via pinfall in a non-title match.  Drew had a big boot late in this one for a near fall, then tried to pin again after only getting a 2 count.  Jinder Mahal was on the outside complaining to the ref as Drew set up for a suplex.  He couldn't get it with Big E slamming Drew on top of the ropes.  He followed with multiple clotheslines and a belly-to-belly suplex.  Drew stayed in control but started to taunt Big E and the crowd.  As he ran towards Langston, Big E picked him up and twirled Drew around to hit the Big Ending for the win.  Post-match, Jinder Mahal got on the mic to demand a match right away.

Big E Langston defeated Jinder Mahal via pinfall in a non-title match.  Mahal rushed into the ring after demanding the ref ring the bell.  He got in a bit of offense out of the corner, until Big E clotheslined him down.  Langston quickly followed with the Big Ending to get his second-straight victory of the main event.

Main Event Results 10/09/13

WWE Main Event Results from Columbus, OH:

Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater defeated Tons of Funk via pinfall.  Late in the match, Mahal hit a running high knee on Tensai, giving 3MB the advantage.  They continued to wear down Tensai and tried to keep him away from a tag, but he eventually got free, making a hot tag to Brodus Clay.  Clay came in and hit a huge splash on Jinder Mahal from the second rope, for a near fall.  Drew McIntyre broke up the pinfall, and moments later, Heath Slater hit a corkscrew splash to get the pinfall win.

Tamina Snuka defeated Aksana via pinfall.  During this one, Aksana seemed to maintain control for a large part of the match which lasted over three minutes.  She hit a sidewalk slam at one point, then crawled around the ring.  Tamina quickly got up moments later and started delivering kicks to Aksana's gut.  Aksana managed to fight back and hit a neckbreaker for a near fall.  Later on, Aksana missed on a front dropkick attempt.  That allowed Tamina to hit a gutbuster, and then a big boot to get the pinfall win.

Big E Langston defeated Zack Ryder via pinfall.  During the match, Ryder fought out of a bear hug at one point.  Langston quickly hit a belly-to-belly suplex and had a 2 count pinfall.  Langston tried to hit a running splash only to have Ryder roll out of harm's way.  He followed by delivering a flying dropkick and then Broski Boot.  Langston rolled to the outside to recover, but Ryder went after him.  On the outside, Langston gained control and dropped Ryder on top of the  barricade, then clotheslined him hard.  Back in the ring, Ryder was almost able to steal the match with a surprise rollup.  However, when Ryder tried to go after Langston in the corner, he ran into an urinagi.  Langston followed with the Big Ending to get the win.

They closed out Main Event with a recap of the main event on Raw (Daniel Bryan & Rhodes brothers vs. The Shield) and Big Show delivering the knock out punch on Triple H.

Main Event Results 08/07/13

WWE Main Event Results from Rockford, IL:

The Shield defeated Mark Henry & The Usos via pinfall.  Late in the match, Jey escaped the heels to make a tag out to Mark Henry.  Henry came in and ran right through The Shield.  He tagged in Jimmy, but Rollins ended up hitting a spear on him, then Dean Ambrose made the pinfall cover.

The Shield did a promo backstage about how superstars like Mark Henry are "tired wastes of space."  Ambrose called he and the other two guys the "new measurement stick for the industry."  Rollins said nobody else can catch them, while Reigns said there's no end to them and no end to "justice."  They ended with "Believe in that, believe in The Shield."

Natalya defeated Aksana via submission.  The match lasted close to five minutes.  Natalya had the early advantage and put a series of different holds on Aksana.  Aksana managed to kick her away on a Sharpshooter attempt.  Aksana was able to get some moves in on Natalya's legs.  Natalya eventually locked her into the Sharpshooter and Aksana eventually tapped.

Curtis Axel defeated Sin Cara by pinfall in a non-title match.  Paul Heyman was a guest on commentary during the match.  Sin Cara gained control late in the contest, hitting several arm drag takedowns and kicks to Axel.  He went for a cross body and hit it for a near fall.  Cara followed up with a jumping reverse DDT for another near fall.  Moments later, Sin Cara went for a moonsault, but Axel got a foot up.  Axel followed up with his finisher to put Sin Cara away by pinfall.

WWE Main Event Results 07/17/13

Main Event Results from Providence, RI:

Josh Matthews and The Miz were on commentary for the latest show.  Christian's music hit and he made his entrance as Miz and Matthews talked up Summerslam 2013.

Christian defeated Fandango via pinfall.  During this contest, they noted that Christian chipped a tooth during the MITB PPV, so he's scheduled for a root canal this week.  Late in the match, Fandango went to the top rope for his leg drop finisher.  Christian rolled out of the way before he could.  Christian went for the Spear, only to get kneed in the face by Fandango.  Fandango went for a power move moments later, but Christian pulled off an inside cradle pinfall to grab the win.

The Miz and Josh Matthews introduced a video package recapping Paul Heyman's turn against CM Punk at MITB, followed by their confrontation on Raw, and then Brock Lesnar coming out to beat down Punk.

Natalya and Layla made their way to the ring as Josh Matthews promoted E!'s upcoming show "Total Divas" which premieres on July 28.

Natalya & Layla defeated Aksana & Alicia Fox via pinfall.  Halfway through the match, Natalya tried to extend her hand for a good sport handshake with Alicia Fox.  Fox kicked her to the mat though.  Layla got into the ring, with the heels cutting her off.  Later in the match, Layla scored the winning pinfall on Aksana.

They showed a video package recapping Brad Maddox and his first night as the new Raw General Manager.  Maddox allowed Cena to make a decision on who his Summerslam opponent would be, and Cena ended up choosing Daniel Bryan, appeasing the live crowd in Brooklyn, NY.

Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater was a no contest, when the Wyatt Family interfered.  Late in this match, Gabriel made his comeback against Slater.  He hit a roundhouse kick to Slater's face and went for the pinfall, but Slater kicked out before 3.  All of a sudden, the video feed cut out and Bray Wyatt showed up on the screen, saying "We're here."  As the camera cut to the dark arena, Bray Wyatt was seen with his lantern leading Rowan and Brodie Lee down the ramp to the ring.  Bray sat in the rocking chair at the bottom of the ramp and started to rock, then blew out the light in the lantern.  When the arena lights came on, Rowan and Lee were in the ring to beat up 3MB and Gabriel.

They beat down McIntyre first, then Rowan choked Mahal outside the ring and tossed him back in.  Slater tried to run off, but Bray Wyatt stood up and put his arms out for Slater to do something.  Lee and Rowan attacked Slater from behind and tossed him back into the ring.  Bray Wyatt watched it all, then got into the ring and stood over Slater, before grabbing his forehead and kissing him there, then dropping him with the spinning face buster.  Rowan and Lee piled all four guys up in the corner of the ring, and then Bray talked about how the world can be a cruel dark place if you let yourself get blinded by illusions.  He talked about how the sheep need to fear the army of wolves.  Once again he told Kane to follow the buzzards, as he knelt down near the superstars bodies in the corner of the ring.  End of show.

Main Event Results 06/19/13

WWE Main Event results from Dayton, OH:

Commentary on tonight's episode was handled by Josh Matthews, The Miz, and Cody Rhodes.

The Shield defeated Justin Gabriel & The Usos via pinfall.  Late in the match, The Usos took out Rollins and Reigns to the outside.  However, Dean Ambrose was able to recover after being previously taken down by Gabriel.  He knocked Gabriel off the top rope before hitting a standing bulldog to get the pinfall win.

Antonio Cesaro defeated Sin Cara via pinfall.  Zeb Colter was ringside for the match to root on Cesaro.  Cesaro had control late, as he hit several moves on him.  However, Cesaro was able to turn the tables and tossed Cara up in the air to hit a huge uppercut.  Cesaro spun Sin Cara around with a neck lock several times, before putting him up and hitting the Neutralizer on him.  Zeb Colter came into the ring post-match to raise Cesaro's arm, then the two taunted Cara on the mat some.

Kaitlyn defeated Aksana via pinfall.  Aksana had control of things late, putting a headlock on Kaitlyn to keep her down.  Kaitlyn powered to her feet and tried to fight out, but Aksana threw her down to the mat.  Aksana hit a side slam then crawled around Kailtyn, kicked her in the head and tried for a pin.  Kaitlyn started up a comeback which included slamming Aksana face first into the mat.  She waited for Aksana to stand up and charged her in the corner, but Aksana moved away so Kaitlyn hit the corner.  Kaitlyn managed to get a big boot up, then went against the ropes to hit a spear takedown for the pinfall.

Main Event Results 03/20/13

WWE Main Event results from Cincinnati, OH:

Wade Barrett defeated R-Truth via pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match Barrett hoisted Truth up on his shoulders for a finisher.  Truth slipped off and countered with a side Russian legsweep for the near fall.  Barrett rolled out of the ring to recover, and as Truth went over to grab him, Wade yanked Truth's arm hard against the ropes from the outside.  Barrett slipped back into the ring then hit the Bullhammer Elbow for the win.  Post-match, Barrett cut a promo about the "Barrett Barrage" saying sooner or later all comers will fall victim to the Bullhammer.  He brought up how he destroyed Chris Jericho this past week on Monday Night Raw, and has destroyed The Miz in the past.  Barrett left the ring and walked towards the commentators table with The Miz standing up.  Barrett shoved Miz down into his chair, so Miz went over and started the fight.  It went into the ring with Miz getting the best of him and Barrett escaping to the ramp to flee.

After commercial break, they showed video highlights from Raw involving the contract signing with Triple H. Paul Heyman brought 3 security guards to the ring and taunted HHH with various insults and remarks, eventually making him mad enough to snap.  After beating up the security and Heyman on the table, HHH signed.  Lesnar showed up with a chair and started towards the ring, but HHH pulled out a sledgehammer stopping Brock in his tracks.  At the top of the stage, Heyman revealed the stipulations for the match: it will be No Holds Barred and if HHH loses he has to quit his position with WWE.

Michael Cole brought up how Ryback was taken off Sheamus and Orton's 3-man team for their match against The Shield at WrestleMania 29.

Matt Striker talked with Sheamus backstage asking if they'll add Big Show to their team to replace Ryback.  Sheamus talked up Show's career accomplishments and being an asset to their team, but also called him sneaky, underhanded and unethical.  Sheamus said "when sheep fly out of my ass I'll consider choosing Show to replace Ryback."

Natalya & Layla defeated Alicia Fox & Aksana via submission.  Before the match, Alicia got on the mic to talk about her and Natalya participating in "Nothin' but Nets" in Rwanda.  Alicia said she felt she got more out of the experience because all Natalya talked about was how much she missed her boyfriend Great Khali.  Natalya payed homage to Anvil with a move and had a near fall on Alicia, but Aksana came in to break it up.  Layla rushed in and took out Aksana.  Moments later, Natalya locked the Sharpshooter onto Alicia, forcing her to tap out.

The Usos defeated Prime Time Players via pinfall.  The Usos hit the Samoan Drop and then the Samoan Splash off the top rope for the win.

They made the big announcement that The Rock will be on WWE Raw this coming Monday.

Main Event Results 2/6/13

Main Event from Jacksonville, FL:

The show started with Cody Rhodes saying he'd be holding Main Event hostage until Booker T comes out to add him to the Elimination Chamber match.  Michael Cole got on the mic to tell Cody Booker isn't there tonight, but instead, Rhodes can face Sheamus.  Sheamus came out mocking Booker, Vickie Guerrero and Mr. McMahon, then shoved Cody out of the ring to start off the opening match.

Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes via pinfall.  Sheamus used the Brogue Kick for the win.  Damien Sandow came out after the loss saying Cody's loss was a travesty, so he'd avenge the loss next against Daniel Bryan.

Damien Sandow defeated Daniel Bryan via pinfall.  Bryan was going to finish off Sandow towards the end, but Kane's pyro hit and distracted him.  That allowed Sandow to hit his neckbreaker finisher for the win.  Post-match, Kane came to ringside to stare at Bryan.

Cameron & Naomi defeated Tamina & Aksana via pinfall.  Naomi hit a big dropkick to score the win for her team.  Brodus Clay was on commentary during the matchup.

Smackdown Results 04/27/12

Smackdown Results from Grand Rapids, MI:

Daniel Bryan came out to start the show talking about how he finally got rid of AJ, and thinks his Wrestlemania title loss should be on her record instead of his.  He talked about how he will defeat Sheamus twice at Extreme Rules and regain the title, prompting lots of Yes! chants.

Alberto Del Rio came down to the ring after his ring entrance from Ricardo Rodriguez.  He started doing questions with Ricardo answering "Si" after each one.  Del Rio vowed to win the title no matter who's champ Sunday.  Big Show came out as Del Rio's opponent and did his own "Yes vs. Si" routine.

Big Show defeated Alberto Del Rio due to disqualification.  Late in the match, Show had control but Cody Rhodes interfered, hitting a chop block.  Del Rio hit his enziguiri kick before leaving the scene.  Cody attacked show with a Kendo Stick, and then a chair, and a belt.  Show booted Cody down and whipped him with the belt, causing Rhodes to flee.

They had John Laurinaitis with Eve backstage, asking her to report anything to him that needs his attention.  She suggested that they have the employees/crew back there with nametags.  Teddy Long came to ask Laurinaitis what his position is now that Eve is the admin assistant.  JL said Long is still an employee, and now reports to Eve.  She told him to get a nametag.

Nikki Bella defeated Alicia Fox by pinfall.  Late in the match, Alicia was making a comeback, but the twins managed to pull off a switcharoo behind the ref's back.  Brie kicked Alicia in the gut and then faceplanted her for the pinfall win.

Backstage, new Smackdown roster members Darren Young and Titus O'Neil started making fun of Yoshi Tatsu.  They mocked his language trying to speak in terms he'd understand, then before he tried to go asked who his tag partner is tonight.  He said to leave him alone and tried to leave, but Titus grabbed him by the arm.  Ezekiel Jackson came up to interrupt saying he's his tag partner, then glared at Young/O'Neil.  They made some song joke about "Zeke ain't got no cuts" and left.

Teddy Long was shown in an office wearing part of a maid's outfit and using a feather duster.  Aksana's music hit and she came in.  Teddy talked about how frustrating working for Laurinaitis is, but he does it for his grandkids.  Aksana said until now she hadn't thought about him being old enough to have grandkids.

JL and Eve came strolling in.  Laurinaitis said he got Aksana's rugby player friend a tryout match tonight on Smackdown, and he'll hire him if he wins.  He said Aksana will be guest ring announcer.  She left the scene, then JL and Eve told Teddy he'll be doing guest commentary at "the Teddy Table" to fill in for Josh Matthews.  He gave Teddy a "People Power" T-shirt to wear, and said he'll only say what Laurinaitis tells him to via an earpice.

Darren Young and Titus O'Neil defeated Yoshi Tatsu and Ezekiel Jackson by pinfall.  Jackson wasn't involved in the match at all.  The new heel team took care of Yoshi in under two minutes.  Their final move was a doubleteam with Jackson holding Yoshi up as Young jumped from the second rope for a takedown move to pinfall.

Michael Cole interviewed Orton in the ring after reminding him of the policy by Laurinaitis for wrestlers not to put hands on any announcer, or they'd get suspended.  He had them show a video package of the Kane vs. Orton feud.  He talked about how he doesn't respect Kane for what he did to his father in the past weeks.

Jinder Mahal came out to interrupt Orton's interview and said once Kane and Orton destroy each other on Sunday, he'll be the new new superstar to emerge in WWE.  Orton asked him if he was an announcer.  Mahal said no and started saying he was the fastest rising superstar in WWE history.  Orton interrupted saying if he's not a commenator, then he isn't off limits.  He dropped the mic and hit Mahal with the RKO.

Antonio Cesaro defeated Tyson Kidd by pinfall.  Cesaro controlled the majority of this one.  He finished Kidd off by tossing him in the air and hitting a big forearm, then followed up with a unique piledriver/slam move.

Post-match, Aksana rushed into the ring to hug Cesaro and proclaimed him the winner on the mic.  Long was sitting ringside for commentary and got some instructions from Laurinaitis backstage.  He went into the ring and raised Cesaro's hand up as the victory.  Aksana walked over and planted a big kiss on Cesaro and the two liplocked, bring tears to Teddy's eyes.  He left the ring dejected over what he just saw.

Cole and Booker talked about Extreme Rules and the Cena vs. Lesnar match in particular.  They rolled a video package of how this feud has heated up since the night after Wrestlemania.

The Great Khali defeated Cody Rhodes by pinfall.  Late in the match, Rhodes kicked Khali in the leg, then went for the Beautiful Disaster kick off the ropes.  Khali avoided it, then grabbed Rhodes for the Punjabi Plunge.

Backstage, Abraham Washington was giving his sales speech to try to sign Rosa Mendes and the tag champs Primo and Epico.  He told them they need more exposure and Rosa needs to get to speak more.  He said he needs to know where they stand with him by Monday.  Ryback walked into the picture and stared at the tag champs for a bit.  As he started to walk off, Washington chased after him, offering his card.

Ryback defeated Jacob Kaye by pinfall.  The Usos were shown watching the match backstage on a flat screen monitor.  Ryback squashed the local guy who said his dream was "to escape Grand Rapids, MI."  Late in the match, Ryback flattened Kaye with a huge clothesline.  He followed with his finisher, putting Kaye up on his shoulders and dropping back hard to slam him for a pin.

Cole brought up how AJ's mental state has been questioned following her getting dumped by Daniel Bryan, and cut down again on last week's show.  They showed her attacking Natalya last week before their match.  Cole said it's clear AJ needs help.

Backstage, AJ was walking looking upset when Matt Striker rushed up to ask her some questions about Daniel Bryan.  She wouldn't comment on that, or about her prediction for this Sunday's Extreme Rules match.  Kaitlyn came into the scene telling Striker that it's clear AJ is going through a lot and doesn't need to answer this stuff.  Striker backed off and left.  Kaitlyn tried to comfort AJ saying that it might be tough, but this is a good thing.  She said Bryan did nothing for her and didn't even love her.  AJ slapped Kaitlyn hard in the face.  Kaitlyn stepped back and stared at her in shock.

Sheamus defeated Mark Henry by pinfall in a non-title match.  Late in the match, Sheamus went to the top rope and flew off at Henry.  Henry avoided it by Sheamus landed on his feet and rolled to the other side of the ring.  He followed up by rushing at Henry and hitting the Brogue Kick for the win.

Post-match, Daniel Bryan walked out onto the stage to applaud Sheamus' victory.  Sheamus tried to get him to get into the ring with him.  Sheamus got a mic and told Bryan he got away easy at Wrestlemania.  Sheamus said his win won't be a fluke on Sunday and AJ won't be there for him to blame for losing.  He said the question is, will he kick Bryan's arse on Sunday to remain champion and the answer is "Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes...."  The crowd went along with yelling the chant with Sheamus as Smackdown went off the air.

WWE Superstars Results 02/16/12:

Josh Matthews welcomed fans to the show as Maxine made her way to the ring.  Striker and Matthews were on camera and showed Maxine attacking Kaitlyn last night after Bateman's tag match from NXT.

Aksana defeated Maxine by pinfall.  Aksana had control early with several submission holds and near falls.  Maxine managed to trip her up against the ropes to gain control and then worked a variety of holds of her own.  Late in the match, Maxine sent Aksana towards the ropes.  Aksana ran back but slid under Maxine's legs, then got up, grabbed Maxine and slammed her down hard with a spinebuster.  She secured Maxine's leg for the pinfall win.

They showed a WWE social media comparison of Rock and Cena's Twitter followers.  Rock currently has more than Cena.

Matthews introduced video highlights of Shawn Michaels' appearance on Raw this past Monday to try to get Triple H to fight Undertaker at Wrestlemania.  The video included the latest video message from Taker to Triple H as well.  Josh Matthews was back on commentary, but made no more mention of the Raw segment, just the Superstars main event.

Jack Swagger won via submission over Mason Ryan.  During the match, Ryan escaped the Ankle Lock and went for a Full Nelson, but Swagger managed to get over the ropes to the apron and then snapped Ryan's neck against the ropes.  From there, Swagger was able to smash Ryan's ankle against the steel steps, then clipped him with a dive in the ring.  Swagger locked on the Ankle Lock to make Ryan quickly tap.

They showed the Raw Rebound featuring John Cena and Kane's ongoing feud.  This past Monday also had Eve kissing John Cena after he saved her from Kane's clutches.  The show ended with Ryder getting shoved off the stage in a wheelchair by Kane, and taken away on a stretcher.

Primo and Epico w/Rosa Mendes defeated Alex Riley and Santino Marella by pinfall.
Late in the match, Santino did a head-first dive onto Primo.  He pulled out The Cobra sock and prepared to strike, but a distraction from Epico caused him to go punch him down.  Primo hit Santino from behind and he fell out of the ring.  Rosa yelled stuff in Spanish as he was holding his head on the floor and Superstars hit break.

Primo had control of Santino late in the match.  Primo took away the Cobra sock and stomped on it on the mat, then kicked it over to Epico.  The heels kept dominating Santino, keeping him away from a tag to A-Ry.  Santino eventually hit a move called "Santino Stunner," a jawbreaker on Primo to break away and make a hot tag to A-Ry.  Riley came in all revved up and beating up Epico for a near fall.  Primo came in to break things up.

Santino came in to attack Primo, but got sent out of the ring.  A-Ry turned his attention to clothesline Primo out of the ring.  Riley went for a finisher on his shoulders, but Epico elbowed his way out of it, then shoved Riley to the corner.  As Riley stumbled back, Epico hit the Backstabber on him for the win.

NXT Results 11/30/10 - Season 3 Finale

WWE NXT Results from Norfolk, VA:

Tonight's episode of NXT was the finale of Season 3 where the Next Breakout Diva would be. The finalists were Naomi, coached by Kelly Kelly; and Kaitlyn, coached by Vickie Guerrero. The show opened with a video highlight package of Naomi and Kaitlyn with a few clips of each from the past season.

Michael Cole started talking about how the world is buzzing about what he did during last night's Raw main event. Cole said he rushed the ring grabbed Lawler's leg and cost him the WWE Title. Cole said he still doesn't know what came over him. He said he'll try to talk to Lawler privately about this matter, but will reserve all comments about the matter until next Monday's Raw. Josh Matthews talked about how big a night it is, then sent it to Matt Striker in the ring. Striker introduced Vickie Guerrero who came out from backstage to do her excuse me bit. Vickie introduced her rookie diva, Kaitlyn, insulting her again.

Striker introduced Naomi who arrived out without her pro Kelly Kelly. Other pros were up on the stage including Bella Twins and Primo. Striker talked about the journey that Naomi and Kaitlyn took to get to where they are now. Striker asked the WWE Universe to congratulate Naomi and Kaitlyn. Striker intro'd a video package of Kelly Kelly who is traveling overseas with Big Show and Eve to visit the troops. She praised Naomi as a great diva rookie, saying she thinks she'll be the next diva in WWE.

Striker said the pair of Kaitlyn/Vickie may put the "fun" in dysfunctional. Striker asked for Kaitlyn's comments about her pro, with Vickie interrupting her. Vickie reminded everyone she fired her original rookie diva before the season started. Vickie said she handpicked Kaitlyn and not a day goes by she doesn't regret it. Vickie brought up that Kaitlyn tried to steal her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler. Kaitlyn said she actually gave thanks for having Vickie as her pro during Thanksgiving, but it's obvious Vickie gave thanks for that second helping of mashed potatoes. Vickie screamed out she's had it, and started to leave the ring, when Kaitlyn shoved her down. Kaitlyn laughed as Vickie screamed on the mat.

Cole started to rant about how Vickie is like royalty on the show. Matthews said they will introduce the pros and rookies for NXT Season 4. The first pro shown was R-Truth. His rookie is Johnny Curtis from Maine. Season 4 debuts next week.

Tonight's matches included AJ and the Bellas versus Alicia Fox, Maxine and Aksana. Also, Kaitlyn versus Naomi in a battle of the two finalists.

AJ & The Bella Twins vs. Maxine, Aksana & Alicia Fox
Six Diva Tag Match

When Goldust arrived out with the other heel divas, Aksana looked over towards Goldust on stage. He gave her a confused look back shaking his head. Cole said they put six divas in this match for quantity over quality. Aksana went over and punched down one of the Bellas causing a distraction for the refs. The heels gained control as Aksana tagged Alicia in to work on AJ.

AJ managed to avoid a charging Maxine in the corner, so Maxine hit shoulder first into the corner. AJ tagged in a Bella who started taking it to Maxine. The Bella scored a faceplant on Maxine, but Aksana rushed in to break up the pin. The action broke down with Aksana, Alicia Fox and one of the Bellas all ending up outside the ring. Maxine was still legal against a Bella and shoved her to the corner where AJ managed to tag in blindly. AJ got up on the corner and hit a flying bodypress to score the winning pinfall. Primo rushed to the ring to congratulate his former rookie. AJ jumped up to straddle hug Primo, then he gave her a kiss in the ring.

Winners: AJ & The Bella Twins win via pinfall over Maxine, Aksana and Alicia Fox.

The Masterpiece Chris Masters was introduced as the next pro for NXT Season 4. His cocky, brash and young rookie is Byron Saxton, who was also a commentator for ECW.

NXT returned with Maryse and Ted Dibiase backstage. Dibiase said he'll be a pro for Season 4 to coach his rookie Brodus Clay. Clay is 6'8", 350 lbs. He said he's the world's biggest suplex machine. Cole said he's the former bodyguard for Snoop Dogg, the "Mastedon of Mayhem."

Striker was in the ring with the two finalists Naomi and Kaitlyn. He said it's time for a diva trash talk face-off where each diva rookie talks themselves up and trash talks the other diva down. Kaitlyn talked about how Naomi is the most athletic and talented of the rookies, but she lacks one thing that can't be taught: personality. Naomi said the time is now and she's ready to be a diva now. Naomi said she just wants to thank the WWE Universe for the experience. Striker came over to say now that they've squared off verbally, they'll face off in a match, next.

Kaitlyn vs. Naomi

Early on, Kaitlyn started goofing off doing the robot, so Naomi mocked her dancing. Kaitlyn rushed her and went for a surprise schoolboy pin. Kaitlyn used an airplane spin to throw Naomi across the ring, which also made Kaitlyn dizzy. Naomi made a comeback though and used her butt bump to knock down Kaitlyn. Moments later, Kaitlyn tossed Naomi to the mat for a near fall.

Cole and Matthews pretended they were bored with Cole whistling, saying he was trying to get emotionally involved in the match, but it was tough to do. Cole made an apology for not mentioning Harley Race as a former KOTR winner last night. Matthews noted that Don Muraco also wasn't mentioned.

Both divas ended up on the outside, with Kaitlyn using a catapult move to launch Naomi towards the ring. Kaitlyn settled into a leg scissors in the ring to wear down Naomi. Naomi eventually got out and started to gain momentum with a variety of takedowns. Cole yelled to the ref to count faster. Kaitlyn went for a move off the corner, but met a boot to the face from Naomi.

Winner:

Post-match, Vickie got up to make another speech. She said she wanted to introduce one of the WWE Pro's for Season 4, her boyfriend Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler arrived out to the stage in street clothes, to say he'll represent Jacob Novak.

Striker had the pros convene up on stage to talk over the voting for the NXT Season 3 Finals between Kaitlyn and Naomi.

Cole reminded fans that one week from Monday will be the 2010 Slammy Awards on a special 3-hour Raw in New Orleans, LA.

They showed the Raw Rebound which recapped Miz's speech as the new WWE Champion, and Lawler interrupting to talk about how Miz won after 7 guys attacked Orton. The Raw GM eventually got involved in their argument, ordering Miz to defend the title against Lawler in a TLC match for Raw's main event. Later on the two fought it out, with things going wrong for Miz despite Alex Riley trying to help out.

Lawler was up on the ladder with Miz having crashed through a table on the outside. Michael Cole left his announce position to go try to help Miz up. Eventually, Cole got into the ring and grabbed Lawler's leg to prevent him from reaching to get the WWE Title down. That prompted Lawler to drop down, confront Cole and eventually punch him down. Meanwhile, The Miz made the climb up the ladder. Lawler rushed back up the other side but was eventually clocked in the face by the belt, so Miz was able to retain his title.

Cole reiterated he'll try to contact Lawler privately about this matter, but will address it at length on WWE Raw.

The next pro introduced was former NXT rookie, Daniel Bryan. His NXT season 4 rookie is Derrick Bateman from Cleveland, Ohio. Bateman describes himself as "Man-tastic." Cole joked maybe Bateman can teach Bryan how to be a man.

Striker was back up on stage with the other four eliminated NXT divas, Jamie Keys, AJ, Maxine and Aksana. Striker asked the four former competitors who they thought should win. Jamie and Maxine were both in favor of Naomi, while AJ said she wants her best friend Kaitlyn to win. Striker asked Aksana who she thought should win, and she asked Striker if he's single. Goldust chimed in telling Aksana to shut her mouth since nobody can understand her. Aksana said she thinks WWE Universe wants her to be winner of NXT.

The next Season 4 Pro is Alberto Del Rio and he will coach rookie Conor O'Brian. O'Brian said it's a "dog eat dog world" and you have to fight for yourself out there.

Time for the final elimination to determine the Season 4 NXT Winner between Naomi and Kaitlyn. Striker had both rookie divas in the ring for the big announcement. They showed the Titantron with both their pictures flashing back and forth until finally it stopped on Kaitlyn as the Season 3 winner of NXT. Kaitlyn is the next breakout diva. She dropped to her knees in excitement then gave Naomi a hug.

Striker asked Naomi to give her thoughts. She said it's bittersweet she wished she had won, but everyone worked hard so she's happy for Kaitlyn. Time for Kaitlyn to give her acceptance speech. Kaitlyn even thanked her "ridiculous pro, Vickie Guerrero." Kaitlyn said she hopes fans will cheer her for who she is and who she will be. Kaitlyn thanked Aksana and her friend AJ. She tried to start up an "Aksana sucks" chant but didn't get it going. Cole called that move "classy."

Other pros, Goldust, Alicia Fox, Primo and Bellas got in the ring to congratulate Kaitlyn. AJ rushed to the ring to hug her friend, and other rookie divas joined them. Cole said he's out of there. No big attack scene to close out the season like Season 2. They showed a replay of Kaitlyn and Vickie's reactions to the announcement of Kaitlyn winning to close the show.

Old School Raw & Aksana Eliminated

On Monday night we got treated to a special 3-hour Raw dubbed "WWE Old School." They even rolled out the old WWF logo for it along with a whole bunch of former WWE legends. It was surprising to see who showed up and who didn't. The usual suspects were there including Gerald Briscoe, Sgt. Slaughter, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes and Arn Anderson. Also on hand were some surprises including Brooklyn Brawler, Harvey Whippleman, George "The Animal" Steele and Slick. Million Dollar Man, IRS, Hacksaw, Superfly Snuka and Mean Gene were all there to reminisce as well. Guys like The Rock and Stone Cold weren't on hand, but neither were really part of the WWF Old School. Bret Hart was though, and he was clearly missing in action. No Ricky Steamboat either which was strange.

Also strange, and maybe winning award for the worst segment of the year was the whole Aksana Goldust Dusty Rhodes trainwreck backstage. It went from tricking Aksana into thinking her mom was nearby, to Goldust yanking the Million Dollar Belt away, to Million Dollar Man getting it back, giving it to his son, to his son giving it back, to a dance party feature Hacksaw, IRS, Kelly Kelly, Aksana and Million Dollar Man. Talk about a fiasco. It may have saved NXT Season 3 from winning the title of "Worst Segment of the Year."

Speaking of NXT, the latest casualty to be sent home was Aksana, the gold-digging wifey of Goldust. She was saved from deportation for a whole 2 weeks. Not gonna lie, her "Diss the Diva" attempts were hysterical, because she was making no sense whatsoever. For that, she had to go. Now she claims she'll be going to visit Mr. McMahon to petition her elimination. Isn't Mr. McMahon still in a coma though? Good luck with that Aksana!

Anyways, we're getting real close to what should be one of the most riveting PPV's of the year, Survivor Series 2010. Cena's job is on the line and Orton's title is on the line in what could be one of the most interesting matches of 2010. There's also been several more matches added including Sheamus vs Morrison (finally) and a traditional elimination tag team match involving Smackdown stars. Plenty to look forward to on Sunday!

NXT Results 11/16/10

NXT Results from Richmond, VA:

Just two weeks away from crowning the WWE's next breakout diva, Michael Cole and Josh Matthews were on hand for the show. Matt Striker introduced the four remaining NXT divas Naomi, Kaitlyn, Aksana and AJ. Tonight there will be another elimination. He congratulated Kaitlyn and AJ for winning competitions last week.

The first competition of the night was "How well do you know your WWE Pro?" Striker would ask a question, the rookie diva's pro would write an answer down, and the rookie would say their answer to see if they matched. First question was "When I first saw my rookie diva, I thought she was BLANK?" AJ, Naomi and Aksana got theirs right, but Kaitlyn did not.

The next question was "On a scale of 1 to 5, how would you rate your rookie's in ring ability? 1 being terrible, 5 being expert." Naomi and AJ got theirs right. The final question "Who does your rookie feel should be eliminated?" AJ got it right and ended up winning the competition. Cole and Matthews held up their own signs with one of Matthews' reading "I'm with Stupid," and Cole's reading "Eliminate Me."

Naomi vs. Kaitlyn

Kelly was already on the apron with her rookie Naomi. Vickie arrived out from backstage saying how ungrateful her rookie is but she still has a match tonight against Naomi. Vickie walked to ringside to support Kaitlyn.

Kaitlyn took the early advantage and worked a leg scissors on Naomi to wear her down on the mat. Naomi turned it into a pinfall which Kaitlyn escaped. Naomi tried to start up a comeback, but Kaitlyn clotheslined her down and put a headlock on.

Late in the match, Naomi whipped Kaitlyn hard to the corner then followed up with a high kick to her face to collect the pinfall win. Vickie screamed at Kaitlyn from outside the ring. Kaitlyn waved Vickie off and went backstage.

Winner: Naomi wins via pinfall over Kaitlyn.

They showed how Goldust arrived to the Naomi versus Aksana match last week and sided with Kelly Kelly/Naomi. Backstage, Aksana walked up to Goldust with a bunch of sunflowers. She started to compare their marriage to Smeagol and Lord of the Rings. Goldust was resistant to her apologies, but she begged for his help in her match against AJ tonight. Goldust finally said OK, then shook his head as Aksana walked off.

They showed the highlight video of fans in Atlanta getting their tickets for Wrestlemania 27. It takes place on April 3, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. Cole said people from a variety of countries have already got their tickets.

AJ vs. Aksana

AJ was accompanied to the ring by Primo while Goldust started down the ramp with Aksana. He stopped though and tossed down the sunflowers on the ramp, then walked to the top of the stage. Aksana turned around to see he wasn't joining her and Goldust simply shrugged at her.

During the match, Aksana pretended to be nice by letting AJ back in through the ropes after she had fallen out. Aksana grabbed AJ and tossed her back out again. Michael Cole took a phone call as the match continued with Aksana putting AJ into a submission move on the mat.

AJ started to gain momentum with several near falls. AJ was able to wrap herself around Aksana in an interesting submission hold, eventually bringing Aksana down to tap out.

Time for another NXT Rookie Divas competition. This time it was "Diss the Diva." Striker congratulated AJ for winning the first competition of the night. In this contest, each rookie diva got 1 minute to diss the other divas. Aksana had trouble making sense in her attempts at dissing the others. She attacked Kaitlyn during her disses. The crowd gave Naomi the most cheers so she won the competition. However, AJ had the most competition wins to earn immunity from tonight's elimination. Michael Cole was busy talking to some fans in the crowd, so Matthews handled commentary. The WWE Pros huddled up to talk over voting for the upcoming elimination.

When NXT returned, Cole and Matthews talked Survivor Series and how this Sunday John Cena's career is on the line. They showed a special video package about John Cena and how he found where he belongs with WWE but now is conflicted in his latest role. The video highlighted Cena as part of Nexus and having to take orders from leader Wade Barrett. Barrett has ordered Cena to raise his arm as the new WWE Champ when Cena referees the Orton versus Barrett match at the PPV.

Striker was up on stage to interview the Pros on their thoughts about the NXT divas. He asked the Bellas first. Brie started to answer, and Nikki interrupted her saying "blah blah blah blah" then said none of the rookie divas compare to any of the divas you see on TV. Alicia Fox gave her thoughts saying this has been like some sort of Diva Daycare in her opinion.

Josh Matthews reminded fans they can see episodes of NXT on demand at YouTube, Hulu and WWE.com. Now time for the elimination. Striker had the four rookie divas ringside. He reminded them that AJ has immunity so one of the other three is going home now. They showed the pictures rotating on the screen and it stopped on Aksana, meaning she's the latest elimination. Aksana collapsed to the floor holding her head. She got up and said to the WWE Universe she's going to Mr McMahon's office to petition to stay in WWE. She said she will be back. Aksana walked up the ramp and Goldust stood in her way to stop her. He said he had one more thing to say to her. Goldust opened his top and pulled out a paper to hand Aksana, then said "I want a divorce." Aksana stormed backstage.

Voting opens up again on WWE.com as of Wednesday for the next elimination. The show closed as they showed a replay of Aksana fainting then showed the remaining 3 divas, Naomi, AJ and Kaitlyn clowning around.

WWE NXT Results 11/9/10

WWE NXT Results from Manchester, England:

Striker was just about introduce the NXT rookies when Goldust's music hit instead. Goldust called out his NXT diva and brand new wife Aksana. He asked her about what happened during their big wedding last week. Aksana came out carrying the Million Dollar Belt, then admitted to using Goldust so she wouldn't be deported from the US.

Aksana said she'll get half of the Million Dollar Belt once they're divorced. Goldust called her a conniving Lithuanian witch who doesn't realize she's not in the US right now. Her fellow rookie Naomi came out to confront Aksana over it calling her a golddigger and a phony. Naomi said she's got all her attention so she wants her one-on-one in the ring tonight. Aksana asked Goldust for his advice which he laughed off. He said she should get in the ring later to have her butt kicked by Naomi.

First competition of the night with the four remaining NXT rookies, AJ Lee, Aksana, Kaitlyn and Naomi. Striker said there's just four weeks left in the NXT competition. Starting tomorrow at noon on WWE.com, votes will be casted for another elimination next week. Tonight's first contest was an arm wrestling challenge. AJ went against Aksana, while Kaitlyn went against Naomi. Aksana defeated AJ in the first pairing. Kaitlyn easily defeated Naomi. In the final match, Aksana was disqualified after grabbing Kaitlyn's hair twice, giving Kaitlyn the big win. Michael Cole mocked that he was sleeping during the contest.

AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella

They showed highlights of 2 weeks ago when Nikki yanked Brie out of the ring and scored the winning pinfall. Cole said he doesn't understand why people like AJ, she looks 13. Cole and Matthews joked around about WWE and NXT as Nikki choked AJ against the ropes. Nikki made some sort of signal to Brie during the action, then clotheslined AJ down to the mat for a pinfall.

A random PA announcement went off during the match. Matthews asked Cole if the Raw GM was trying to get in touch with him. At one point, Nikki tossed AJ out of the ring. Nikki went outside to collect AJ then tried to get Brie to switch with her. Primo yelled at the Bellas about it. Brie refused to do it, and Nikki got back into the ring. AJ was able to grab a surprise pinfall on Nikki to grab the win, causing Nikki to become enraged post-match.

Winner: AJ wins via pinfall over Nikki Bella.

Various superstars and WWE personalities talked about how great an organization all of WWE is, like a family. Featured in the video package were superstars like John Cena, Husky Harris, Kaval, Ezekiel Jackson, Layla, Matt Striker, Vickie Guerrero, Todd Grisham, Drew McIntyre and David Otunga. Cole said he and Matthews have a lot of fun on NXT and WWE is a great place to enjoy family friendly entertainment. Matthews encouraged fans to log onto WWE.com to "Stand Up for WWE."

They had a "Guess the WWE Superstar from their High School photo" competition. The rookie divas each had an air horn as their buzzer. First photo was Eve Torres, second was Jack Swagger. AJ got the first two correct. Naomi got the next one, John Cena. Nobody could get the black and white photo of Jerry Lawler. Kaitlyn got Mark Henry right. Kaitlyn and AJ tied with 2 correct each. They had a face-off with AJ guessing John Morrison to win the competition.

Hail the Villain provides the official Survivor Series theme "Runaway." Cole and Matthews brought up the Pay-Per-View which will have John Cena as the special referee for Wade Barrett vs Orton in the WWE Title match. Also, Edge will challenge Kane for the World Heavyweight Title.

They showed highlights from last week when AJ and Primo were trying to have a private conversation backstage, then noticed the set piece near them was shaking. They saw Dolph Ziggler making out with Kaitlyn behind it. That resulted in Vickie rushing backstage to grab Kaitlyn and toss her around. Kaitlyn noticed a wedding cake nearby and smashed it all over Vickie. Then last Friday on Smackdown, Vickie won a match against Kaitlyn in the ring.

Backstage on NXT, Vickie came walking up to Kaitlyn and said her win against her on Smackdown proves she's better than her. Vickie told her she doesn't have the looks, intelligence or talent to be near her. They got into a catfight with each of the women tossing the other around. Vickie got the last shots in by bashing Kaitlyn's head off a nearby buffet table. Finally a few refs came out to break things up.

Kelly Kelly arrived out with her rookie Naomi for the main event match right before a commercial break.

Naomi vs Aksana

Aksana was introduced and then surprisingly Goldust came out too. Goldust got up on the apron to start rooting for Naomi with Kelly Kelly. Naomi went for a big butt check move as Aksana came from against the ropes, but Aksana dropkicked her down to take control.

Aksana put a single leg Boston crab on Naomi who eventually got to the bottom ropes to break it. Naomi finally got a move in to slam Aksana to the mat, then took some time to recover. Naomi had the momentum afterwords with a series of take downs. The match continued on with Naomi finally using a high kick move to take down Aksana for the pinfall win.

Post-match, Goldust got into the ring to congratulate Naomi along with Kelly Kelly while Aksana was down on the mat.

Winner: Naomi won via pinfall over Aksana.

Voting opens Wednesday at Noon EST for your favorite NXT rookie diva. There will be another elimination coming up soon. Goldust gave a look to Askana as she held the back of her head down on the mat. NXT ended with Cole saying Goldust's done enough to Aksana already.

NXT Diva Maxine & Linda McMahon Eliminated

Tuesday night saw not only one WWE female eliminated, but two. That's right, NXT rookie diva Maxine was not the only lady to be defeated, as Linda McMahon also lost the Connecticut Senate seat race. Attorney General Richard Blumenthal won the election after a $50 million self-funded campaign from former WWE CEO, Linda McMahon. Still, the Stand Up for WWE campaign seems to be ongoing, so it will be interesting to see how long they continue with the videos asking fans to stand up for the WWE.

Also interesting will be the aftermath of the campaign. Will Linda give up her political aspirations or run yet again in several years? If she doesn't, is WWE planning to return to a non-PG format in the future? Was Vince McMahon serious in his skit about running for president?

About that skit, it was interesting to see the Chairman on camera again, albeit in a dream vision by his daughter Stephanie. We also heard the voice of HHH but didn't actually see "The Game." This is very interesting in that it adds to the mystery of Triple H making a comeback to wrestle again for WWE. While he's been involved in behind-the-scenes work and even aided Linda on her campaign a bit, HHH has been out of on-TV action for months. Ever since his attack from Sheamus, which I doubt will be the official retirement for The Game. He made a rare ring-return last weekend in Connecticut for Fan Appreciation Day, to take on Alberto Del Rio in a match. WWE called it a "one-time" deal, but the whole skit has to make you wonder, why the choice not to show HHH on camera?

The fact Vince McMahon was on camera, seemed like an attempt to get last-minute votes from WWE fans with a funny viral video bashing Linda's opponent. That skit also has fans wondering if Vince might soon return to WWE. He was last seen being beat down by The Nexus, leading to this "coma" he's supposed to be in. If John Cena does in fact get fired at Survivor Series, it seems like an opportunity for the anonymous Raw GM or Vince McMahon to re-hire the company's top star.

On to other things...We've got at least three matches for Survivor Series: Barett vs Orton II with Cena as referee; Edge vs Kane for the World Title, and now Natalya vs Michelle or Layla for the Divas Title. Of those three title situations, right now Natalya seems like the likeliest to win a title, despite her not being in action quite as much as the rest of the divas roster.

Let's bring it full circle to NXT. We got a Dashing Cody Rhodes kissing contest with the divas, Hornswoggle making out with Maxine, Vickie smashed with a wedding cake and appearances by Million Dollar Man and The American Dream. Maxine was eliminated, making it seem like Naomi will be next to leave if she can't keep winning competitions. I actually was starting to like Maxine since she had a bitchy diva heel routine going for her, almost in the tradition of Dawn Marie. She'll be back, and hopefully on top sometime in the future.

Strange twist with the wedding and Aksana slapping Goldust, then leaving the ring. Talk about "Shattered Dreams" for the Bizarre One. Moments later we see Aksana at ringside smiling, still wearing her golden wedding dress. Has she turned heel, or is it just not custom to kiss the groom until they have their official Honeymoon in Lithuania?

WWE NXT Results from Bridgeport, CT:

NXT opened with the video package promoting the Goldust and Aksana wedding tonight by 24 Karat Productions. Goldust proposed to his rookie diva Aksana weeks ago in order to help her solve her immigration problems.

After welcoming fans to the show, Cole and Matthews sent it to their host Matt Striker in the ring. Striker made his usual introductions of the rookies: Kaitlyn, Maxine, Naomi, A.J., and Aksana. Striker said there will be a wedding tonight and an elimination. Cole quipped "Thank God," prompting Striker to turn around and look at him. Striker told Aksana she has 0 competition wins and mathematically has no chance at immunity. He excused Aksana to go prepare for the weeding.

Tonight's first competition would be a Kissing Contest. Striker said he'd need a special judge for the contest. Hornswoggle's music hit and he arrived to the ring with Maxine giving him a look. Each of the divas had to kiss him and Hornswoggle had to say which one made him feel happy inside. Kaitlyn went first and made Hornswoggle fall against the ropes. Maxine was next and said she wouldn't be kissing Hornswoggle. She ordered him to leave the ring and he did all sad.

As Hornswoggle was walking backstage, Dashing Cody Rhodes arrived out wearing a suit, with a hand mirror. He patted Horney on the head and went to the ring. He said the contest needs someone "dashing," and here he is. Kaitlyn was told to go again. Dashing Cody Rhodes put on some lip gloss before and then Kaitlyn kissed him twice. Maxine refused to do it and made Cody kiss her hand. Naomi also refused to do it saying she wouldn't kiss him if he were the last guy on Earth. AJ went to kiss him, and he pulled out a nail file. He told AJ he knows she never kissed a guy before but he's rooting for. AJ pounced on Rhodes and took him down to the mat. He told Striker AJ was the winner.

Back to Striker and Cole, they said AJ has 2 wins now and could possibly save herself from elimination later.

Backstage, AJ was walking and Primo caught up to her. He said after seeing her kiss Cody he got a bit jealous. AJ said there's been something she's wanted to tell Primo for a while now and since elimination's coming up. She asked to tell him in private, so they went to the nearest room. Insider was Dusty Rhodes along with the Bella Twins all dressed up for Goldust's wedding. Dusty told them they'd need to find another room to use but told AJ she was looking good tonight.

Kelly Kelly vs. Alicia Fox

Kelly did her early pounce on Alicia and then later a tilt-a-whirl headscissors to toss Alicia. Alicia recovered to knock Kelly out of the ring. Back inside, Alicia stretched Kelly over her knee. Kelly regained control briefly, but Alicia dropkicked her down.

Alicia missed on the headscissors kick so Kelly did a Sunset Flip on her off the corner. Alicia kicked out, but Kelly followed up with her finisher to plant Alicia face first on the mat.

Winner: Kelly Kelly wins via pinfall over Alicia Fox.

Primo and AJ were trying to find a room still backstage. This time they opened a door and saw Maxine kissing Hornswoggle. She stopped and saw them. She tried to tell them it's not what they think, that he was choking. AJ and Primo went to find another room.

Survivor Series 2010 is presented by Paper Jamz. Tonight's second competition in the ring is the Wedding Gift Scramble. The divas had to tear through presents on the table to find a flag. First diva to find it would win the contest. Kaitlyn found the flag within about a half minute to win her second contest. Naomi with 3 competition wins in the past several weeks has immunity tonight.

Time for another Stand Up for WWE promo video package. It featured various superstars talking about their famous WWE parents and relatives. Goldust, Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Usos, Natalya, Randy Orton, Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty were all part of the featured video.

When NXT returned the staff was setting up the ring for the Goldust and Aksana wedding ceremony. Cole and Matthews talked about Survivor Series 2010 which features Wade Barrett versus Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. John Cena will be special guest referee. If Barrett wins the title, Cena is released from Nexus. If Barrett loses, Cena is fired from WWE by Barrett.

Matthews reminded fans they can see episodes of NXT on Hulu, YouTube and WWE.com.

Finally AJ and Primo found a spot backstage near a piece of equipment. AJ noticed it was moving. They looked behind the board they were next to, and saw Dolph making out with Kaitlyn. Dolph stopped and pulled Kaitlyn out trying to say it wasn't what they thought. Vickie saw it all on the big screen and went storming backstage. When she finally got there, she grabbed Kaitlyn and tossed her against the wall. Two guys just happened to walk in carrying a wedding cake. Kaitlyn grabbed it and threw it onto Vickie, covering her in icing. Vickie was shown screaming as NXT went to commercials.

Next up, the wedding of Goldust and Aksana. All of the pros and rookie divas were assembled on stage as was Striker to watch. Cody Rhodes and Dusty Rhodes both arrived to the ring as part of the wedding party. Hornswoggle came out as the ring bearer carrying the ring on a pillow. The groom arrived out next, Goldust. The priest asked everyone to rise as Aksana came out wearing her golden wedding dress. The minister asked Goldust and Aksana to say their vows. After they did, the minister asked if anyone objects. He then said, if nobody does, then he does. Goldust asked why? The minister said because everyone has a price. He walked up the ramp as Ted Dibiase and Maryse arrived out onto the stage.

Dibiase said that because the wedding was over, it's time for Aksana to go back to her country. The immigration agent arrived out with a pair of handcuffs. Dibiase told Goldust there's just one way to prevent this and that's to turn over the Million Dollar Belt. Dusty Rhodes got on the mic to interrupt. He said he thought this might happen so he found someone else as a minister to help out. He asked him to come out and Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase arrived out. Cole noted he's an ordained minister.

Dibiase arrived to the ring and finished the wedding. Hornswoggle handed over the rings for them to put on each other. Goldust went in for the kiss, but Dusty Rhodes went over and kissed her on the cheek. As Goldust went to kiss Aksana, she slapped him in the face, then turned around and left the ring. Everyone was shocked in the ring as Aksana walked backstage.

Host Matt Striker had the five rookie divas assembled by the ring for tonight's elimination. Naomi had immunity for tonight. Time for tonight's big sendoff. They showed all the diva pictures rotating up on the big screen. Maxine was the latest elimination. She got to give her final words, saying she will be back, and will be on top. She wished the other divas good luck and walked up the ramp. Cole said the hottest one was eliminated, then joked that they still have four more weeks to go. Matthews said this is the "best internet show ever."

NXT Results 10/26/10

WWE NXT Results from Milwaukee, WI:

Cole said it's appropriate this is Halloween week because tonight's show will be horrifying. Matt Striker was in the ring to introduce each of the rookie divas who were dressed up in Halloween costumes. AJ was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Naomi was Hamburger Helper Hand, Kaitlyn was Vickie Guerrero, Maxine was Ice Queen and Aksana was the Red Devil girl.

Striker said starting tomorrow WWE Universe begins elimination voting. The next elimination will be next Tuesday. He mentioned winning the most challenges gives a rookie diva immunity from being eliminated.

Tonight's first rookie diva competition was the Halloween Costume Contest. Each rookie got fifteen seconds to impress the judges, the live audience. Basically the rookies just posed and walked around the ring to some corny music. Kaitlyn grabbed the mic and started her Vickie "Excuse Me" immitation, then fell on her huge butt and pounded the mat as the fans cheered. The audience gave their reaction to each rookie diva and gave a lot of applause to Kaitlyn giving her the win.

They showed Ted Dibiase and Maryse walking backstage. Maryse said "I don't want to be here," to Dibiase and Matthews said that's how we feel too.

Naomi vs. Maxine

Pro divas Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox were on hand to coach their respective diva rookies. Naomi and Maxine were still dressed in costume, with Naomi wearing her big Hamburger Helper Hand costume.

Cole and Matthews started watching an advance copy of "Knucklehead" while the match was going on. The duo finally started commentating. Maxine took the fight to the outside, beating up Naomi around the commentators table.

In the closing moments, Naomi started firing away with punches, knocking down Maxine for the win.

Winner: Naomi wins via pinfall over Maxine.

Backstage, Goldust told Aksana she has to stay focused on tonight because Ted Dibiase and Maryse are there to try to get the Million Dollar Belt. Aksana brought up the wedding next week, but Goldust said not to think about that yet. Just then an immigrations officer walked in. He told them if they're not married next week, Aksana will be deported.

Brie Bella vs. A.J.

Nikki was ringside for her twin sister. AJ came out in her TMNT Halloween costume along with her pro diva Primo. Brie had the upperhand early on, as she settled into a headlock on AJ. AJ got to her feet to elbow her away out, but as she came from against the ropes, Brie leveled her with a clothesline. Brie put a headlock back on as Nikki yelled "finish her off!"

Brie got outside and Nikki started arguing with her. Primo came over and told them not to try that "switchy thing". AJ gained control as Brie got back in the ring. AJ had repeated takedowns for near falls with Brie kicking out. At one point, the ref was giving instructions to AJ and missed it as Nikki yanked her sister out of the ring and took her place. Nikki was now in the ring and able to finish off AJ with a Faceplant to the mat.

Brie wasn't happy with her sister's actions nor was Primo who got in the ring to yell at the ref.

Winner: Brie wins via pinfall over A.J.

Dibiase and Maryse were backstage. Maryse said she doesn't want to be here anymore because it smells like vomit and the girls outside are tacky looking. Dibiase said they're here tonight to get his Million Dollar belt back. Maryse suggested he just buy another. Dibiase said that particular belt's been in his family for years. He told Maryse tonight she's going to help him get it back too. Maryse said "Fine" then went off in French before leaving the scene.

NXT returned with the new Standup for WWE campaign which featured the various superstars talking about how working for the NBA is their dream job. Included in the segment were Michelle McCool, Eve, The Bella Twins, Big Show, John Cena, Alex Riley, The Miz and John Morrison supporting WWE. Josh Matthews and Michael Cole encouraged fans to also Stand Up for WWE. Matthews said he's been a part of WWE for ten years now and it's the only thing he ever wanted to do.

Time for the second Rookie divas competition. The rookies were seated at a table with their pro mentors standing behind them. This was the "Halloween Candy Eating contest." Striker said for a competition of this magnitude he needs a little help. Hornswoggle came rushing to the ring in a cowboy costume. Striker had the minute countdown start as the divas started to shovel their face with chocolates from a plate. Striker had two referees count up pieces of candy eaten and Maxine won the competition.

Maxine was up to celebrate and ended up getting into it with Hornswoggle. AJ came over to help out and shoved Maxine with Hornswoggle crouched down behind her. Maxine fell to the mat and Alicia started to push AJ a bit. Next, Kaitlyn appeared to be choking. Vickie yelled at her to spit it out. Kaitlyn went over on the mat and Hornswoggle gave her the Heimlich, causing Kaitlyn to spit on Vickie. Vickie stormed off up the ramp upset over what happened.

Friday's episode of Smackdown will be the Undertaker's funeral, held by Kane. Cole said maybe next week's episode of NXT should be its funeral. Matthews said replay highlights of NXT are available on YouTube, Hulu and WWE.com.

Backstage, Vickie was screaming behind a closed door. Kaitlyn knocked on the door and Dolph Ziggler came out to talk to her. He said it's not a good time to go in there right now. Vickie kept screaming as Dolph told Kaitlyn she's a shoe-in to win this contest and looks great in her costume. Vickie screamed for Dolph to get back in there so he left Kaitlyn and closed the door.

As NXT returned, Michael Cole said next week's episode will feature the wedding of Goldust and Aksana. Matthews chimed in that it will be held in the most romantic city in the world, Bridgeport, CT.

Goldust & Aksana vs. Ted Dibiase & Maryse
Mixed Tag Match

Maryse slapped Aksana to start things off then took her down to the mat. Maryse continued to beat on Aksana in the corner until the ref ordered her to back off. Still Maryse choked Aksana against the bottom rope before smashing her face first to the mat. Laster on she put a Camel Clutch style submission. Aksana managed to kick Maryse away, prompting Dibiase to tag her, and Goldust tagged in as well.

Goldust had momentum with the inverted Atomic drop, but as he went for the Bulldog, Dibiase countered it to take control. The two ended up fighting outside with Dibiase smashing Goldust face first into the commentators table. As Dibiase rolled back in to distract the ref, Maryse kicked Goldust on the outside. Cole clapped for Maryse's tactics yelling "Good job Maryse!"

Moments later, Goldust hit the backdrop on Dibiase and crawled to the corner. Aksana tagged in and took control against Maryse. She had the drop down punch to get the near fall on Maryse, but Dibiase rushed in to pull Aksana off the pin. Goldust rushed in to take Dibiase to the outside. Meanwhile in the ring, Maryse tried to go for the finish. However, Aksana grabbed her into a surprise rollup pinfall for the win.

Winners:

Post-match, Goldust stood on the apron and praised Aksana for the win. Dibiase came up from behind, yanked out Goldust's leg causing him to hit the apron face first. Dibiase grabbed the Million Dollar Belt and rolled into the ring. Despite all that, Aksana was able to slap Dibiase in the face and pull the belt away from him. Goldust got back into the ring to fight off Dibiase. Goldust and Aksana were able to retreat with the belt still in their possession as NXT ended.

Michael Cole opened with Josh

Matthews, saying there are 2 weeks until the

next elimination. Host Matt Striker

introduced the five remaining NXT rookies:

Kaitlyn, Aksana, Naomi, A.J. and Maxine.

Cole said Maxine's grown on him and he loves

her attitude. Striker said it's the halfway

point of this season. As he was talking

about the competition a loud "Excuse me!"

came from Vickie Guerrero.

Vickie said she can't listen to how Striker

talks about the rookie divas. She walked up

to Kaitlyn asking what she's thinking in

wearing the outfit she is. Vickie said she's

recommited to being Kaitlyn's pro and helping

her win NXT. Vickie had a gift for Kaitlyn

to save her from the disaster. She gave her

a sweatshirt to wear but Kaitlyn tossed it

onto the mat. Maxine piped up saying Kaitlyn

needs to learn some respect and she'd take

her as her pro any day.

Alicia Fox got up from her seat on the stage

to confront her rookie asking what she just

said. Alicia said she could coach her rookie

to beat Vickie's rookie any day. Vickie said

they barely had time to prepare, and Alicia

said the match will happen right now.

Striker said it was official, right now.

Kaitlyn vs. Maxine

NXT returned after

commercial. Kaitlyn was now wearing the

hoodie sweatshirt Vickie gave her. Alicia

was on the apron to coach Maxine. They

showed highlights from 2 weeks ago when

Kaitlyn defeated Vickie in a match, and

Kaitlyn hugged Dolph after the match

infuriating Vickie.

Vickie and Alicia wore mic headsets on the

apron to coach their rookies in the match.

Maxine started to wrap the hood around

Kaitlyn's face and choked her against the

bottom rope. Michael Cole took a cell phone

call during the match. Matthews said it must

be the Raw GM because Cole doesn't have

friends. Cole handed the phone to ring

announcer Tony Chimel too. Eventually

Matthews found out it was Cole's mother on

the phone.

Something happened near the ring apron with

Kaitlyn fighting Maxine near Vickie and

Vickie falling off the apron. Maxine managed

to roll up Kaitlyn for a pinfall and held her

butt to secure the pinfall. Kaitlyn tore off

the sweatshirt and tossed it off. Vickie

confronted her about the loss.

Winner: Maxine wins via pinfall over

Kaitlyn.

Cole introduced the WWE's "TV PG" video

package to show how WWE is a good, clean

sports entertainment phenomenon across the

globe. Other parts of the video segment

showed WWE's involvement with charities like

the Overseas tribute and Make A Wish. Cole

encouraged viewers to stop by WWE.com and

help support WWE in the face of all the

political attacks going on now. "Stand Up

for WWE" is the latest campaign.

Time for the "Who's That Body?" Competition

for the rookie divas. The divas had to

identify various diva or superstar bodies

shown to gain points. They each had air

horns again like the name that tune contest.

Naomi got the first body right with Cody

Rhodes before Striker even gave choices. AJ,

Kaitlyn and Naomi were the only ones to get

answers. Naomi got the last answer right,

Melina, to win with 3, to Kaitlyn and AJ's 2.

When NXT returned, Matthews and Cole

discussed the upcoming Bragging Rights PPV

with Team Raw vs Team Smackdown, as well as

Orton defending the WWE Title against Wade

Barrett. John Cena will be in Barrett's

corner as a Nexus member. They showed video

highlights of how Cena became a member of

Nexus after losing to Barrett at the last

PPV. Ever since, Cena's been subjected to

humiliating orders from Wade Barrett. Cena

was ordered to help Barrett win the Battle

Royal weeks ago to become #1 Contender for

the WWE Title. Just last night, Cena teamed

up with Orton to take on Husky Harris and

Michael McGillicutty. They won but after the

match, Nexus attacked Orton while Cena could

only watch.

Matthews brought up the Goldust Aksana

situation. Backstage, Goldust was petting

the Million Dollar belt and thanked Aksana

for saving it. Goldust said if Aksana

married him she wouldn't be deported.

Goldust said in two weeks they get married.

Goldust got down on one knee and presented a

ring to Aksana to make it official. He moved

his lips towards Aksana but held back, then

wished her luck in the limbo contest later

on.

Time for the next divas competition "The Limbo." Two refs held the limbo stick for the divas to limbo under. As Striker told the refs to "lower the bar" Cole said it's just like the show's bar has been lowered. Kaitlyn and AJ started clowning around under the stick. Kaitlyn was eliminated for not clearing the stick. AJ was also eliminated, followed by Aksana. It came down to Maxine vs Naomi. Naomi ended up with the big win to have 3 competition victories, giving her a chance at immunity.

Kelly Kelly & Naomi vs. The Bella

Twins

Early on, The Bella Twins started to dominate Kelly with several double team moves. Kelly eventually made an escape to tag in Naomi who took it to one of the Bellas. At one point, all four divas were involved in the contest. Nikki got pissed, then rushed over and pounced on Naomi. A big brawl ensued with Kelly pulling Naomi away and Brie pulling Nikki away. As it became Brie vs Naomi, Brie offered the rookie a sincere handshake. Later, Nikki tagged in and then talked some trash before shoving Naomi down. Moments later Nikki shoved Naomi off the corner turnbuckle, causing her to fall onto the apron.

Later still showing aggression, Nikki rushed over to knock Kelly off the apron. She pulled Naomi over by her hair to let Brie tag her in. Naomi kicked Nikki out of the ring. Things went awry as Kelly was trying to get into the ring. Nikki shoved Brie away from Naomi then took the winning pinfall on her. Kelly was confused as to why Nikki was so hostile. She checked on Naomi on the mat as the Bellas raised their arms up on the ramp. Brie was confused about her sister's aggressive behavior as Nikki was mocking a crybaby to taunt Kelly and Naomi.

Winner: The Bella Twins win via pinfall over Kelly Kelly & Naomi.

Bragging Rights Team Raw needs 7th Man

As of Monday night, Team Raw has six of its seven members decided. The Miz defeated John Cena to become captain, thanks to Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty. It appears that these two guys (Harris/McGill) will eventually join Nexus too, just for Wade Barrett to further insult and humiliate John Cena. So far, the story's doing a good job of helping Nexus, and especially Barrett, get major heat as they torture Cena. He'll eventually get his revenge, probably at Survivor Series.

The question is will Barrett become WWE Champion? It seems highly possible if he has Cena's help in defeating Orton. We'll probably see a situation where the ref is down, and Barrett orders Cena to do something to Orton. It's going to be quite interesting come Bragging Rights. Giving him the title win over Orton would make Barrett even more despised and is probably a logical move by WWE to establish him as a hated heel.

They still need one more guy for Team Raw. A poll was running on another wrestling site which so far has Daniel Bryan and Triple H tied in votes for the seventh spot. Other interesting choices included Ezekiel Jackson and Chris Jericho. It seems Triple H is on the campaign trail with Linda McMahon right now in CT, and that Jericho is touring with Fozzy, so don't expect either of them. They'd be major surprises. Maybe Miz will appoint Alex Riley to the spot, or Darren Young will step in. Should be interesting to see who gets it. Right now Team Raw is: The Miz (Capt), R-Truth, John Morrison, Santino Marella, CM Punk and Sheamus. The inclusion of Santino is definitely a shocker, but should provide some humor at the PPV.

No eliminations on Tuesday's NXT, but the jabs between Striker, Cole and Matthews continue to highlight the show. Some funny exchanges including Striker's "I'm more of a Craiglist guy" line. We also were treated to a Goldust proposal as he asked his NXT rookie Aksana to marry him, so he could save her from possible deportation. "Here comes the bride...All dressed in Gold!" You can see where this is headed, Goldust and Aksana versus Dibiase and Maryse. Next elimination is likely to be Maxine right now as they're definitely playing up storylines with Aksana and Kaitlyn for the fans before voting.

Just watched the "MacGruber" Blu-ray tonight, and if you're a wrestling fan, you'll want to check it out for the WWE cameos. Kane, Big Show, Great Khali, MVP and Jericho all suit up for the film. Also, Big Show's new music "Knucklehead" will be in theaters in about a week. It's WWE's first attempted at a comedy film ("The Marine 2" doesn't count.)
