WWE Halloween Costumes for 2011

Believe it or not, Halloween is right around the corner. The WWE Halloween costumes for 2011 could be rather interesting as fans dress up as their favorite wrestlers from Raw, Smackdown or the WWF/WWE of the past!

Some of the costumes appearing for sale online include current favorites like http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifRey Mysterio, The Undertaker and John Cena. For a blast from the past, there are costumes for the Iron Sheik, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan.



There aren't just WWE/WWF costumes available but also costumes from TNA and Lucha Libre wrestling. For TNA there are Sting and Hulk Hogan outfits. For Lucha Libre, costumes include Electro Shock and La Parka.

The majority of the costumes sell for under $50. Many fans will be making their own costumes as well. With the popularity of new stars such as Alberto Del Rio, Sin Cara and Cody Rhodes, there could be some clever costumes showing up on October 31st!

Christmas Tweets from WWE Divas & Superstars

Christmas 2010 is here! This year's holidays brought plenty of gifts to the WWE Universe, as well as to the superstars and divas in World Wrestling Entertainment. Many of the wrestlers are happy to have their health, while others are celebrating recent championship victories. As we close out 2010, The Miz holds the WWE Championship, Edge has won the World Heavyweight Championship for a 10th time, Dolph Ziggler is Intercontinental Champion, Daniel Bryan is United States Champion, Natalya is the Divas champion, and Santino Marella holds the tag titles along with Vladimir Kozlov.

So let's take a quick look at a variety of the "tweets" coming from the Twitter profiles of the various superstars and divas of WWE!

Of course the big news right before the holidays was that WWE Superstar Kaval was released just yesterday. Word is Kaval didn't like the hectic travel schedule and he requested his release.

WWE Holiday Gift Ideas 2010

With the holiday season now upon us, it's time to start shopping for gifts (if you haven't already)! For WWE fans, there's plenty of great items to both give and receive including tickets to live events, video games, DVD's, CD's and books. That game is none other than Smackdown vs Raw 2011 which has a ton of great features allowing for the creation of your own superstars or divas, playing in story modes through seasons and just locking up for a variety of cool matches including the Royal Rumble, TLC, Falls Count Anywhere and Elimination Chamber.

There's a brand new book coming out which wrestling fans are sure to enjoy called "The WWE Championship: A Look Back at the Rich History of the WWE Championship" which takes a look at the complete history of the WWE Title and its respective owners (sorry Miz, it was published before you won it). Another book coming out soon (December 14th) will be the Goldust paperback called "Cross Rhodes: Goldust, Out of the Darkness." Fans of wrestling will enjoy this read from the Bizarre one. There's also the WWE Encyclopedia released just last year which includes over 350 pages, nearly 1,000 Superstars, and more than 1,500 images in its one-volume complete reference book for WWE fans!

Smackdown Preview 12.25.09

Tonight's special Christmas edition of Smackdown will feature a pair of matches that are perfect gifts for members of the WWE Universe! In one match, The Undertaker will put his World Heavyweight Title on the line against the new #1 Contender, Rey Mysterio. Mysterio won the spot last week by defeating his rival Batista in an intense match. Due to Batista's lazyness, Mysterio scored a rollup pinfall to surprise The Animal and win the match. Now, Mysterio heads into the Deadman's yard, the WWE ring, to try to take the ultimate prize, the World Championship! Will Mysterio have what it takes to overcome the force that is the Phenom? Will Batista show up and play the Grinch that steals Christmas?

In the second gift match, D-Generation X will make their second official defense of their Unified tag team titles against the new #1 Contenders, The Hart Dynasty. Last week the Hart's won their match against Jimmy Wang Yang and Slam Master Jay, and promptly after the close of the match, Natalya announced that they will go for the titles on Christmas. DH Smith and Tyson Kidd have cockily pronounced that they will outdo their Hart predecessors, the Hitman and British Bulldog. Will they be able to score a major victory and Christmas gift by winning the tag titles on Christmas? Or will DX show why they are the top tag team of the decade?

Tonight's Smackdown on Christmas night should hold plenty of gifts for WWE viewers. As seen on Raw, several Santas stopped by the show to offer their gifts and words of wisdom. There were also "Santa's helpers" and diva elves in the arena. What will be in store for tonight's special Smackdown?

Superstars Support Toys for Tots

The Stamford Advocate of Connecticut has an article looking at WWE's involvement in the Toys for Tots program. Recently, WWE stars Matt & Jeff Hardy, Carlito & Primo Colon and WWE diva Maria Kanellis were on hand at Tommy K's Vitamins in Stamford, CT. Stamford is also the home to the WWE's headquarters. The superstars signed autographs for fans as families brought in new toys to give as donations. Some families even traveled over 5 hours to make the event. Toys for Tots is a US Marine Corps Reserve program which collects unwrapped gifts to give to kids in need. According to the Advocates articles, it was a great success with the WWE and several heavy-metal musicians there to help support the effort.

From the Stamford Advocate:

"This is an amazing turnout," Marine Staff Sgt. Steven Savage said.

The crowds erupted with cheers when the wrestling stars arrived shortly after 12:40 p.m., rolling slowly up Research Drive in a motorcade of police and military vehicles.

The Hardys drew the loudest cheers when they emerged from the Stamford Police Department's tank-like armored personnel vehicle.

Squealing young girls rushed forward to snap photographs or just get a closer look at the pair.

eyes," said Joanie Ragusa, a Norwalk mother who brought her two children, Michael and Noelle, to the event.

Jeff and Matt Hardy said it was gratifying to take part in the event helping needy children celebrate Christmas.

"It's that time of the year, and there is a real need for it," Jeff Hardy said.

Great to see the superstars and divas involved in making some holiday wishes come true. The Hardys continue to be amongst the top wrestlers in the league as Jeff will battle for the WWE title at Armageddon this Sunday. Matt continues to wear the ECW title and it was recently announced he'll face Vladimir Kozlov in a non-title grudge rematch at the PPV.

2008 Tribute to Troops Sneak Peek Photos

WWE has already headed overseas for the taping of the annual "Tribute to the Troops" special, set to air in a few weeks, prior to the Christmas holiday. The event is a wonderful yearly effort by WWE Superstars and divas to bring holiday cheer to the United States troops stationed in Iraq. Superstars and divas involved this year include Mickie James, Eve Torres, Batista, Big Show, John Cena and Jeff Hardy. It features matches involving all the WWE superstars and divas from Raw, Smackdown and ECW, as well as some surprises.

Last year saw an injured John Cena (dressed as Santa Claus) deliver an FU using his hurt shoulder and arm. The event is intended to boost morale and lift the spirits of those who are currently helping protect the homeland and stave off enemy attacks. Christmas Eve Kiss for Great Khali

Smackdown saw its share of Seasons Greetings this past Friday night during The Great Khali's weekly "Kiss Cam" segment. Normally, Khali chooses a "lucky" participant from out of the audience who he plants a big kiss on, but last night Khali had some serious holiday cheer. Khali came to the ring with a festive Santa's cap on, and Ranjin Singh was dressed as an elf. The two presented a holiday edition of Kiss Cam, and from backstage, WWE Diva Eve Torres came out, decked out in a Santa's Little Helper costume. The 2007 diva search winner, Eve Torres, was the recipient of a Khali kiss under some misteltoe, and it seemed to leave the WWE Diva speechless in the ring. No word yet on if Eve will be a new valet for Khali, or if she will continue her backstage interviews. Is romance in the air for the diva and the giant, or was this just a holiday tradition under the misteltoe?

As for Khali, he's definitely had a major change in terms of his character on Smackdown. Not long ago it seemed he was a goliath in the ring, knocking several opponents out at a time to win a battle royal for the World Heavyweight title vacated by Edge. Khali went on to lose to Batista and hasn't won a title since. Recently Khali's been a big fun-loving type, going as far as to hoist Rey Mysterio up on his shoulders after their Survivor Series win. Not sure if the Kiss Cam is the direction he should be going in right now, but he can only play the angry giant role so many ways, and for so long. Possibly a new tag team could form, consisting of Big Show and Khali, who could be very similar to Kane & Undertaker's Brothers of Destruction tag team. For now, Khali seems to be enjoying his ladies man status, including his Christmas Eve kiss.

WWE's Valentines Couples

It's Valentine's day this February 14th and we have several couples who will be celebrating their current romances. The first couple of WWE Superstars
that comes to mind would be WWE's Edge and Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero, as the two have been lovestruck since after Survivor Series. Each week Edge professes his love to Vickie, and Edge has said that in honor of Valentine's day he will have something special to ask Vickie. Will it be the "big question" that many think it is? Will we see another Smackdown wedding in the future?

Another current couple of lovebirds is Raw's Santino Marella and WWE Diva Maria Kanellis. Maria happily accompanies the boastful Santino to the ring week in and out. Now they have a third individual as part of their relationship, with Carlito joining forces. Santino has insisted that his sweetie will not be doing Playboy either despite the fans' protests. Will the love of Santino and Maria continue to flourish, or will Carlito and Playboy be major barriers for the couple?

A third couple which has formed under interesting circumstances is that of Michelle McCool and Jamie Noble on Smackdown. You may recall that Noble had to "win a date" with Michelle by first beating her friend at the time, Chuck Palumbo. Since Noble has beat Chuck several times, Palumbo completely lost it and Michelle McCool told him he wasn't enough for her. Recently on Smackdown, Chuck went nuts again and beat up Noble in front of his latest "interest" Michelle. Despite Michelle begging Chuck to stop, he proceeded to completely maul Noble outside the ring and nearly ran him over with his motorcycle.

And let's not forget the "Tough Love" that Vince McMahon has been trying to show his illegitimate son Hornswoggle week after week through brutal matches..Recently, Vince took things into his own hands to show his son that tough love. Can you feel the love in the WWE this Valentines Day?
