Dean Ambrose came out the doors with a neck brace on. He ripped off the brace then walked towards the ring with a ladder and a chair. He tossed a chair and the ladder in, with the ladder hitting Wyatt in the gut. Ambrose kept tossing different objects at Wyatt who eventually went towards the stage. Ambrose said the only way Wyatt leaves TLC is in an ambulance.

Rowan rammed Harper in the face with the steps, before Harper retreated outside. Rowan threw the steps out at him, barely missing.

Adam Rose was with The Rosebuds on stage to present LOL Moment of the Year Slammy. It went to Damien Mizdow as The Miz’s stunt double. Miz and Mizdow came out to the stage with Mizdow speaking to accept the award. The Miz interrupted him taking credit for it and then walked off with the award.

Officials had to come out to break things up.

He danced off stage with Rosa.

Renee Young interviewed Big Show backstage about if he’ll be able to focus on Cena tonight with the fact he has a stairs match with Rowan on Sunday. Show said the fans keep reminding him of the mistake he made at Survivor Series, so he’s going to take out his rage on Cena tonight and Rowan on Sunday. He said he would be a “very focused and very angry giant.”

Booker T presented the names for Superstar of the Year Slammy Award: Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, John Cena and Seth Rollins. Raw took a commercial break before the winner was announced. After break, Reigns was announced as the winner. Reigns’ music hit and he walked out on stage to accept the big award from Booker. He said this is him stepping up, and he doesn’t care if it’s Cena, Brock, Rock, Hunter or Vince McMahon at the top of the stairs, he’s going to step over them to the top. Reigns raised the trophy up and walked backstage.

John Cena defeated Big Show due to disqualification. The close saw Cena hit the AA on Show after escaping a Chokeslam. He went for the pin, but Seth Rollins got in to attack Cena causing the DQ. Post-match, Rollins, Noble and Mercury kept on attacking Cena. Rollins got a ladder set up to prepare for a Curb Stomp on Cena. Dolph Ziggler’s music hit and he rushed out to shove Rollins off the ladder to the ropes. Cena recovered and helped Ziggler clear the heels out of the ring. Show got back in the ring and then KO’d Ziggler. Cena got KO’d next.

Erick Rowan rushed down to the ring and got attacked from behind by Luke Harper. Show helped Harper smash Rowan into ring steps on the outside floor. Show chokeslammed Rowan onto the steps, and then Ryback’s music hit. He rushed to ringside to fight with Show a bit, before going into the ring to clothesline Harper. Ryback was going to slam harper through a table, but Kane got in the ring and smashed a chair into Ryback’s gut. Kane bashed Ryback repeatedly with the chair.

Ziggler eventually got back up and took Show out, but then got thrown through a table by Harper. Cena got up and tried to hit an AA on Harper, but Rollins stopped it, then hit the Curb Stomp on Cena and brought him to the floor. Rollins got help from Mercury and Noble to Triple Powerbomb Cena through a table. The show concluded with Show, Harper, Rollins, Kane, Mercury and Noble all gloating in the ring as they had taken out the faces.

WWE Raw Results from Norfolk, VA:

Tonight's Raw result also include presentation of the various 2011 Slammy Awards.

To start off the show, Booker T, Eve, Alicia Fox and Hornswoggle presented the award for "Tell Me I Did Not Just See That."  Jim Ross won for dancing in the Michael Cole Challenge.  Ross came out and talked about how he never expected to win a Slammy.  Cole interrupted from the ring to complain about JR's win.  Booker told Cole that JR can beat him right now in a rap-off contest.  Booker and Hornswoggle brought JR to the ring and he and Cole traded freestyle raps.  According to crowd response, JR was the winner.

Mick Foley and The Million Dollar Man presented "Holy (bleep) Moment of the Year" which went to Big Show and Mark Henry for making the ring collapse during their match at a PPV.  Show came out to accept and thanked the Academy, saying Henry is probably afraid of him now.  Show said he's done talking and ready to bash someone's head in.

Big Show defeated Wade Barrett due to DQ.  Barrett tried to use a steel chair in the ring causing the DQ, then ran away from the ring after show punched the chair away.

Road Dogg Jesse James came out to present the Pipe Bomb of the Year Award.  There were 14 different candidates including R-Truth, Santino with fake Obama, Stone Cold and Punk, Punk's ice cream bars rant, Sheamus and Beaker, Ryder on YouTube and more.  CM Punk was announced as winner.

Punk came out to accept the award but said he wants to recognize someone else in WWE who works hard daily.  He presented a video montage tribute to John Laurinaitis which showed old highlight clips from Dynamic Dudes with Shane Douglas and Johnny Ace.

Former WWE Diva Lita came out to present "Most Divalicious Moment of the Year."  The winner was announced as Kelly Kelly, but Beth Phoenix and Natalya came out to interrupt.  They tried to get Kelly's Slammy, but she slapped Beth.  Beth and Natalya backed off from Lita and Kelly.

Santino presented the "OMG! Moment of the Year."  The Bella Twins came out to help tell what OMG means.  The winner was Undertaker for kicking out of a Tombstone by Triple H at WM27.  Triple H came out to accept the award, but went to the ring in street clothes, holding a sledgehammer.

Triple H delivered a promo in the ring saying HHH was the only guy to walk away from that match with Undertaker under his own power.  He said Undertaker and The Streak are no more, as they've come to their end.

HHH asked to see a video clip of Nash assaulting him again.  HHH said Nash should've finished the job, because now he's back.  On Sunday, it'll be "Might Making Right."  Hunter vowed that on Sunday he'll climb the ladder, grab the sledgehammer and bring it down on Nash over and over.  As HHH's music played he went up the ramp to where Santino was and tried to give him his Slammy to hold.  Santino ran backstage, and HHH posed up there.

David Otunga and Tony Atlas came out to present an award for "Trending Star of the Year."  Otunga mocked the laugh that Atlas used to do for the Abraham Washington Show on ECW.  Otunga said all four guys up for the award will compete in a match tonight.  It was between Cody Rhodes, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder.

As the match started, Michael Cole said whichever wrestler trends first out of the four on Twitter will win the award.  The match was won by Ziggler after he hit Zig Zag on Bryan for a pinfall.  The award was won by Ryder, but Ziggler got upset and hit the Zig Zag on him before stealing the Slammy.

Christian came out to present the "Gamechanger of the Year" award.  The winners were The Rock for challenging John Cena to a match at WM28.  John Cena came out to accept the award and said the award rests on the shoulders of a team.  He pretend Rock was there to come out, but then said no Rock wasn't there.  He said there's a satellite clip, then said no they don't have one.  Cena then talked about WM28 and the big match saying the Gamechanging Moment will be April 1st and he will be at his very best.  Cena said he hopes Rock is committed to preparing for WM28, because he wants everyone to see Rock at his best.

Alberto Del Rio & The Miz defeated CM Punk and Randy Orton by pinfall in tag team action.  Late in the match, Punk wanted to tag in Orton, but Wade Barrett attacked Orton on the apron from out of nowhere.  That left Punk alone two-on-one.  Miz hit the Skullcrushing Finale on Punk to get the pin and win.

Post-match, Del Rio and Miz beat up Punk some using a ladder.  Del Rio put on the Cross armbreaker on Punk's arm with a ladder on it.  Miz said they want to make sure Punk makes it to the PPV so one of them can win the WWE title.

Vickie Guerrero and Goldust presented the award for "A-Lister of the Year."  Nominnes for the award were The Muppets, Snooki, Cee-Lo Green, and Hugh Jackman.  Snooki won and gave a thanks message on pre-recorded video.

Sheamus came to the ring for a match against Jinder Mahal.  As Mahal came out he cut a promo saying Sheamus will play a supporting role for his Slammy-award winning performance tonight.  Sheamus connected on a Brogue Kick as soon as Jinder got in the ring.  No match due to the fact the bell never rang to start it.

Rey Mysterio made a surprise appearance to announce "Superstar of the Year."  CM Punk was the winner but unable to accept the award due to his earlier beatdown.  Instead, John Laurinaitis came out and accepted the award on his behalf, saying Punk was in no condition to make it out there.

A 1/2/12 video promo was shown with the young girl in the classroom.  The boy from the earlier promos was saying on 1/2/12 it will be "the end of the world as you know it."  "Control" flashed on the screen before Raw went to commercial.

John Cena and Mark Henry fought to a no decision in the main event match.  Late in the match, Mark Henry was dominating when Cena escaped and made a comeback.  He tried to knock Henry off balance by running at him with shoulder block/tackles, but at one point Henry caught him.  Henry hit World's Strongest Slam on Cena, but was out of it and couldn't get over for the pinfall.

Suddenly, pyrotechnics went off and the arena went dark for a bit, before Kane's theme music and video hit.  Kane emerged from backstage up on the stage wearing a solid welder's type mask over his face.  He marched down the ramp to the ring as Henry rolled out.  Cena got up stumbling around.  Kane grabbed him around the throat and hit the chokeslam.  He raised Cena up and slammed him down to the mat.  Kane stood over Cena on the mat and then raised up his arms, before dropping them down as the ringposts exploded with pyro.  As Kane's music played, he lowered his head a bit to look down, then removed the welder's mask to reveal a new Kane mask.  He also had long hair again and some stubble on his chin.  Raw ended with the visual of the masked Kane face.

Raw Preview 12/12/11

Tonight's special episode of Raw will feature the presentation of the 2011 Slammy Awards!  These awards are given out on an annual basis to the top WWE superstars and divas in a variety of categories.  Among the top awards for 2011 will be Superstar of the Year with Randy Orton, CM Punk, The Miz, John Cena and Alberto Del Rio all vying for the statue.  Who will win this prestigious award tonight?

Meanwhile, the members of the Raw and Smackdown rosters will also be preparing for the 2011 TLC Pay-Per-View.  One of the big matches on that card has WWE Champion CM Punk defending his title in a Triple Threat TLC match.  His opponents will be The Miz and Alberto Del Rio after they each qualified last week.  Last week's Raw ended with CM Punk besting his opponents after the contract signing.  What will happen between these three this week?

One superstar who isn't involved in the TLC Pay-Per-View after last week's show is John Cena.  Cena qualified for the WWE Championship match only to give his spot up.  Cena chose to trade in his opportunity at TLC to give his friend Zack Ryder an opportunity at the United States Championship instead.  With that in mind, Cena is not in a match for TLC.  Will Raw's interim GM John Laurinaitis change his mind about Cena?  What will Cena have to say regarding all of this?

Check out tonight's episode of WWE Raw at a special start time of 8PM EST on USA!

2011 TLC WWE Championship Match Set?

On Monday night's Raw, the latest TLC Pay-Per-View match was revealed.  The WWE Championship will be up for gabs in a Triple Threat match involving CM Punk, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio.  John Cena had originally been included in the competitors, but gave up his spot in the interest of helping his pal Zack Ryder earn a United States Championship opportunity.

So that seems to leave John Cena on the sidelines for TLC, or does it?  The event is less than two weeks away, but that's still plenty of time for Cena to earn back a spot in the match, making it a Fourway TLC match for the WWE title.  Otherwise, what else does Cena have to do right now?  It would be rare to see WWE leave their flagship poster guy off a card like this, unless he's Zack Ryder's corner man or something.  The only previous time where Cena didn't have an actual fight on a PPV in recent memory was when he was the special guest referee for Wade Barrett's match against Randy Orton for the championship.

With all that said, it seems very likely that Cena will be given some sort of stipulation by Raw interim GM John Laurinaitis.  Most likely if Cena passes the challenge (probably another match), the GM will put him into the match at the TLC Pay-Per-View with Punk's title on the line.  It's just too far-fetched to think that Cena won't be part of this event in December.

One other note, and that is that next week is the 2011 Slammy Awards for WWE.  Once again Superstar of the Year will come down to fan voting and includes John Cena on the ballot.  It won't be much of a surprise when he wins it for the second straight year, but shouldn't it go to another star, such as The Miz or Del Rio, based on their past year's work?  Just a thought to consider as we approach Raw's 3-hour special next week.

2010 Slammy Awards Review - CM Punk Mystery

This past Monday marked a special 3-hour long Raw, not only to bring Smackdown and Raw together before the 2010 TLC PPV matches, but also to celebrate the major achievements in wrestling for 2010. The 2010 Slammy Awards have now been handed out, so it's time to look back at the hits and misses, the winners and the snubs. Are there any snubs in these awards or should we just accept it like many of the storylines full of holes in the plots?

The first contention would have to be giving a Superstar of the Year award based on fan vote. Was there really any doubt who would garner the popular fan vote? Put Cena's name in any category to vote on and pretty much he'd be the winner. If you were to give that award based on body of work in the past year, The Miz would seem a more fitting choice, holding the tag titles, US title, winning Money in the Bank and the WWE Title all in 2010. Cena just seemed to fit into the theme of the night with his re-hiring and the whole Nexus story.

Another strange award was the Diva of the Year determined by a Battle Royal. Honestly, if Gail Kim, Tamina or Rosa won that battle royal would they really deserve "Diva of the Year?" They're all lovely, but let's be serious, Michelle McCool and Layla should have just received the award based on the past year's work.

Someone mentioned on another post that there was no award given for Tag Team of the Year. Maybe that's a good acknowledgement that tag team wrestling is about gone in the WWE?

How about Wade Barrett able to arrange his own match for TLC? Maybe he contacted the Raw GM to arrange it, but how is it that Barrett has such direct contact with the GM and can do this? With that whole Cena re-hiring, there doesn't seem to be too much fuel to the fire for Cena's latest match with Barrett. Cena's been having the last laugh at the expense of Nexus for weeks, so it's not like anyone feels bad for him anymore.

Surprisingly the biggest shocker of the evening came from a guy who isn't wrestling right now, CM Punk. Punk won the "Despicable Me" Slammy for his spooky serenade of "Happy Birthday" to Rey Mysterio's daughter on Smackdown. During his acceptance speech, Punk alluded to their being someone backstage he's got a grudge to resolve with. Punk said he will get even. Speculation is now running rampant as to who Punk is talking about. Remember that Punk put Evan Bourne on the shelf, and at one point he had been eyeing Evan Bourne and the US Title. Since then, he's been relegated to desk work, aka the commentator position. Any idea who Punk might be talking about?

With the conclusion of the Slammy Awards, we now will be heading towards the 2010 TLC Pay-Per-View on Sunday, with several new matches added including the Cena vs Barrett Chairs match, Sheamus vs Morrison #1 Contender Ladder match, and a Divas Table Match. Saturday will be the pre-recorded "Tribute to the Troops" Special airing on NBC, one night before the PPV. It will be interesting to see if Cena is wrestling on that show, or shows up as Santa Claus to surprise Nexus.

Raw Results 12/13/10 - 2010 Slammy Awards

WWE Raw Results from New Orleans, LA:

Tonight's episode of Raw featured the presentation of the 2010 Slammy Awards to recognize the outstanding achievements of 2010. Also this Raw is less than a week ahead of the 2010 TLC Pay-Per-View.

Michael Cole was on hand for commentary with CM Punk seated in between Jerry Lawler and Cole. Cole asked Lawler to chillax tonight. Justin Roberts was in the ring to introduce former WCW Champion, David Arquette who arrived out to the podium on stage to call himself best WCW Champion of all time. Arquette bragged about defeating Eric Bischoff for the World Title on WCW.

Arquette presented nominees for Slammy for Shocker of the Year: The Miz cashing in his MITB on Orton to win the title, Nexus makings its surprise debut on Raw to attack Cena and everyone/everything around, Paul Bearer betraying Undertaker during Hell in a Cell to help Kane win the match, Randy Orton putting Jericho on the DL with an RKO and punt kick.

The Slammy Award went to The Debut of Nexus. Nexus leader Wade Barrett arrived out by himself to accept the award for Shocker of the Year. Barrett bragged about Nexus' power and his own power to bring back John Cena. He reminded fans of the ultimatum from last week that he must rehire Cena or be excommunicated from the group. Wade said he'll make a decision on that before the evening ends. Wade thanked everyone and went to leave but the lights flashed to signal an email from the Raw GM. Punk asked to read it, but Cole got up. The Raw GM said Barrett can give the WWE Universe another shocking moment in a match right now against this man...the Big Show arrived out from backstage and walked up, then took Barrett's Slammy trophy from him before heading to the ring.

Big Show vs. Wade Barrett

Big Show got the upperhand eventually after Wade tried to leave the ring multiple times. On the outside, Show chest slapped Barrett multiple times. Finally Barrett had enough, he left the ring and grabbed his Slammy Trophy then walked up the ramp to leave the match.

Winner: The Big Show wins due to countout of Wade Barrett.

Cole said fans will vote on 2010 Slammy for Superstar of the Year. Up for the award are John Cena, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Kane, The Miz and Edge.

The diva of the year will be awarded to the diva who wins a battle royal consisting of Smackdown and Raw divas. NXT winner Kaitlyn will be part of it.

Kelly Kelly was introduced to announce the award for Most Treacherous Deed - The Despicable Me Award. Tyson Kidd arrived out with his new bodyguard. Kidd introduced Jackson Andrews as his bodyguard. He shook Kelly's hand, then insulted Kelly on her vocab and spelling skills.

Nominees for Despicable Me Slammy in 2010 were Drew McIntyre torturing Teddy Long, Kane burying Undertaker alive, Mr. McMahon kicking Bret Hart, CM Punk ruining Rey Mysterio's daughter's celebration. CM Punk won and ecstatically jumped up from his seat slapping hands with Cole. Punk made his acceptance speech about working hard and believing in yourself to make all your dreams come true. Punk said he did what he did to Mysterio because he wronged him. Punk said right now backstage there's another individual who has wronged him, and there will come a day when he gets even. Punk said if they think what he did to Mysterio is despicable they haven't seen anything yet.

Just then, Kofi Kingston arrived out as Punk was hoisting up his Slammy Trophy.

Daniel Bryan & Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler & Ted Dibiase

Bryan was accompanied out by both Bella Twins for this Raw/Smackdown tag match. Vickie Guerrero arrived out with IC champ Dolph Ziggler, while Maryse arrived out on Dibiase's arm.

Bryan had been dominated by the heels but finally broke away from them to make the hot tag to Kofi. Kofi came in against Ziggler, with multiple take downs and the boom boom leg drop. He began to rev the crowd up for Trouble in paradise. As Ziggler stood up, Kofi connected on it. He pinned Ziggler, with Dibiase getting back in the ring to try to make a save but he couldn't. The Bellas got in the ring to raise the arms of Bryan and Kofi. Maryse and Vickie showed disgust outside the ring.

Winners: Daniel Bryan & Kofi Kingston win via pinfall over Ziggler & Dibiase.

The WWE Tag champions Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella arrived out in street clothes to present the nominees for Guest Star Shining Moment of the Year: Mike Tyson, Pee Wee Herman, Wayne Brady and William Shatner. The winner of the award was Pee Wee Herman, but he wasn't there live to accept so they had pre-recorded video comments on the Titantron from Pee Wee.

They showed Wade Barrett backstage putting the Slammy Trophy up on a shelf in the locker room when the rest of Nexus walked in. Otunga asked what his decision is. Wade didn't say anything. Otunga said the fact Barrett walked out on his match against Show doesn't make his singles career look so promising. Barrett chuckled about it, then thanked Otunga saying he just made up his mind.

Mark Henry vs. Dashing Cody Rhodes

Cody took exception to Henry smushing him in the face, so he got him with a dropkick low to the legs. From there, Rhodes focused his attack on the grounded Henry.

Late in the match, Henry hip splashed into Rhodes in the corner. On the second charge, Rhodes moved out of the corner, then did his kick from off the ropes to Henry's head. He kicked Henry in the leg to ground him, then delivered a knee drop to the back of Henry's spine. Rhodes followed with a big pinfall for the victory.

Winner: Dashing Cody Rhodes wins via pinfall over Mark Henry.

Jerry "The King" Lawler and Vickie Guerrero arrived out to present nominees for the Slammy: "Holy $%(@%)@ Move of the Year." Lawler cracked a joke about being up all night due to his lizard's vet visit. Vickie asked what was wrong and Lawler joked "Reptile dysfunction." Vickie joked that Holy $(%)%)! was her reaction when Michael Cole cost Lawler the WWE Title. Lawler joked it's Ziggler's reaction whenever Vickie tries to model new lingerie, or when the waiter brings her a menu and she says "I'll take it."

Nominees for the "Holy $%@%)@ Move" award were Morrison off the stage scaffolding onto 2 men, Kofi Kingston off a ladder to crash down on a guy through a table, Cena hitting Attitude Adjustment with Batista up on the stage from a car roof, Evan Bourne going for Air Bourne but Orton getting him with the RKO mid-air. The winner was John Cena. Lawler said it's unfortunate Cena is fired and can't be there tonight, so they'll accept the award on his behalf.

Just then, Wade Barrett came out from backstage to interrupt. He took the Trophy from Lawler and said if Cena wants it he can come get it. Barrett headed to the ring saying the world is awaiting his decision on whether or not to re-hire Cena. In the ring, Wade said his decision was..he hesitated several times, drawing more heat and Cena chants from the fans. Wade finally said he won't make his decision unless Cena comes to the ring now to face him.

After several moments, John Cena appeared in the crowd. He made his way to the ring hugging fans and slapping their hands. He finally got into the ring with Barrett telling him to keep his distance. Barrett said he's had to think long and hard over the decision, because it affects him, Cena and The Nexus. The rest of Nexus arrived from backstage to circle the ring. Cena tore off his shirt and wristband to get ready for a fight. Barrett said Cena's officially re-hired, but on two conditions: 1)he agrees to face him Sunday at TLC in a Chair match and 2)he agrees to go one-on-one tonight against David Otunga.

Barrett then got out of the ring as the rest of Nexus went in and ganged up on Cena, beating him down. Barrett returned with a steel chair. As Cena started to get up, Barrett smashed a steel chair down on him multiple times. Nexus stood over Cena looking down at him, then left the ring.

When Raw returned they showed a replay of what just happened with Nexus and John Cena in the ring, ending with the chair bashing by Wade Barrett. Michael Cole reminded fans of the Slammy Winners so far tonight including Wade Barrett, CM Punk and Pee Wee Herman.

David Arquette was back again on stage, this time in a new white outfit and shades. Arquette pitched his new theater opening in Hollywood, CA which debuts on Valentine's Day 2011. Arquette presented nominees for WWE Universe Fan Reaction of the Year. Nominees were weird kid reacting to John Cena joining Nexus, loser crying when Shawn Michaels career ended at WM26, dumbstruck moron, angry demon girl reacting to Miz beating Orton to became WWE champion. The winner was angry Miz girl, Kailey. She was actually in attendance and arrived out with her dad.

She started making her softspoken acceptance speech, but was soon interrupted when The Miz arrived out with Alex Riley. Miz got down on one knee saying how beautiful Kailey looked, then asked to hold her Slammy Award. The girl gave him the look again before leaving backstage. Miz walked down to the ring with his WWE Title, as Riley hoisted up the Slammy. Arquette walked down there with them to ringside. Miz told people to tune into TLC on Sunday to see him put Orton through a table. Miz kept ranting until the lights flashed for an email from the Raw GM. The GM said both Miz and Orton will be in action tonight, facing former champions. Miz would face a former World Champ, right now...Rey Mysterio arrived out to the crowd cheers.

Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz

After a commercial break, Mysterio was in control of the match. He managed to get Miz against the ropes and was setting up for the 619, but all of a sudden Alberto Del Rio's music hit. Del Rio arrived out to cause a distraction from the ramp. Miz slipped out of the ring. Mysterio slid out over Miz and was about to go up the ramp, then turned to go back after Miz. Miz grabbed Mysterio and dropped him face first onto the apron to gain the upperhand in the match.

Later after Miz had some offense on Mysterio for a while, Rey tripped Miz into the ropes for another 619 attempt. Del Rio got up on the apron so Mysterio got in his face. Miz tried to hit Mysterio from behind, but Rey ducked it and Miz punched Del Rio off the apron. Moments later, Alex Riley distracted the ref on another 619 attempt. Del Rio tripped Mysterio from the outside of the ring. Miz went over and got him into the small package pin which the ref counted for Miz's win.

Post-match, Arquette and Riley got in the ring to celebrate with Miz after Rey chased Del Rio backstage. The lights flashed to signal another email from the Raw GM. He said Miz just faced a former champion in Mysterio. Later tonight Orton will have a handicap match against Alex Riley and his partner, former World Champion, David Arquette. Riley looked upset at his selected partner, but Miz tried to say they had the advantage.

Winner: The Miz wins via pinfall over Rey Mysterio.

Rated R-Superstar Edge arrived out to present nominees for another Slammy. Edge said Kane was supposed to be his co-presenter but he's busy having a meltdown over Paul Bearer. Edge said Kane will forget all that after Edge beats him for the World Title at TLC. Edge said he needs a co-presenter he's comfortable with, that he knows well and has had chemistry with over the years. Just then, Christian's theme music hit and he arrived out from backstage wearing an arm sling on his left arm. Christian said his pec's feeling better and he hopes Alberto Del Rio wins the award tonight, because he and his peeps haven't forgotten who caused his injury.

Nominees for "Oh Snap Moment of the Year" Slammy were Big Show destroying Jack Swagger's awards and memorabilia, Alberto Del Rio injuring Rey Mysterio on Smackdown, Edge having a meltdown against the Raw GM laptop in the ring, Batista threatening to quit WWE and finally doing so. The Slammy Award went to Edge for destroying the Raw GM laptop computer. Edge said he appreciated the Slammy but he's always been calm and rational. Edge started to go off on a rant with Christian getting the Raw GM email sound on his iPhone. Edge asked if he was serious, and Christian said he was just joking, trying to cut the tension. Edge said after all these years one thing is still true - "Michael Cole is a massive tool." Cole started to have a meltdown of his own.

John Morrison vs. King Sheamus

Sheamus arrived out in a black and gold cape with a crown and sceptre. As soon as the bell rang, Sheamus went at Morrison in the corner. The ref held Sheamus back but he still got some shots in. Finally the ref pulled Sheamus to the center, but Morrison rushed over and tackled Sheamus down. The two kept hammering on each other, with the bell finally being rang for a double DQ decision.
Finally, the Raw GM sent an email as multiple refs got in the ring to pull Morrison and Sheamus apart. The Raw GM said their issue hasn't been resolved tonight, but it will be at TLC. The Raw GM ordered the two will compete at TLC in a #1 Contender's Ladder Match. The winner becomes #1 Contender for the WWE Title. Sheamus rushed over to knock Morrison down again, then got out of the ring to yell at Cole. Sheamus grabbed a ladder that was standing outside the ring and as Morrison came over towards the ropes, Sheamus rammed him in the gut with the ladder. Sheamus got back in the ring to further beat up Morrison. He picked up Morrison on his shoulders and threw him over the top rope onto the ladder outside the ring.

Winner: No contest - John Morrison and Sheamus receive a double DQ decision by the ref.

JTG and William Regal presented the next Slammy Award for Knucklehead Moment of the Year. Nominees were Big Show unmasking CM Punk when he was bald, Mae Young defeating LayCool in the No DQ match, Beth Phoenix entering the Royal Rumble and eliminating Great Khali, Vladimir Kozlov vs Santino Marella dance off. The winner of the Slammy was LayCool. JTG announced it as "LayCool beating Mae Young," with Lawler saying he thought it was the other way around. LayCool arrived out to accept the award saying they'll treasure the award forever. Michelle said now it's time for them to win their second slammy of the year, for Diva of the Year. They headed to the ring for the divas battle royal.

Divas Battle Royal for Slammy Award

The battle royal consisted of the following divas: Eve, Rosa Mendes, Beth Phoenix, Tamina, Bella Twins, Natalya, Alicia Fox, Kaitlyn, Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Layla, Michelle McCool, Melina, Maryse and Gail Kim.

To start the match all of the divas immediately ganged up on layCool beating on them. First elimination was Kaitlyn, then Rosa Mendes, both tossed out by Tamina. Moments later, the Bellas tossed Tamina over the top to the outside. One of the Bellas was next, followed by Eve. The other Bella twin was out next. Maryse got tossed out of the ring next. Kelly hung on to Michelle but Layla kicked her off to eliminate her next. The Glamazon was able to kick Layla under the ropes out of the ring. Layla was upset and grabbed Beth's leg under the rope, allowing Michelle to rush over and push Beth out. In the final moment, Michelle managed to eliminate Natalya for the win. Layla rushed into the ring with 2 Slammy Trophy's to celebrate with Michelle on the second straight win.

Winner: Michelle McCool wins the Divas Battle Royal to win the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year.

Post-match, the Raw GM sent an email telling LayCool to celebrate all they want. The GM said at TLC on Sunday Natalya and Beth Phoenix will go against LayCool in a divas tag team tables match. LayCool looked scared in the ring after hearing their fate.

They showed Edge backstage on his way out for the next match against Swagger.

They showed the incident from Smackdown where Kane pushed Paul Bearer over the edge and then saw Bearer flat on the pavement below. Edge said he warned Kane not to do that.

Edge vs. Jack Swagger

Cole announced another match for TLC: Triple Threat Ladder match with Swagger, Ziggler and Kofi Kingston competing. Swagger went for the Anklelock late in this one, with Edge reversing into a seated pin. Swagger kicked out and was able to go for Gutwrench Powerbomb. Edge countered that too and knocked Swagger down. Edge prepared in the opposite corner and as Swagger got back up he got Speared down for the pinfall.

Winner: Edge wins via pinfall over Jack Swagger.

Backstage, Riley was complaining to Miz about having to team up with Officer Dewey in the ring tonight. Miz said not to worry since he'd be out there with them. Just then Arquette came rushing in wearing some strange robe. He was all riled up and said he and Miz have plenty in common: both had doubters during their title reigns, they both have extensive Hollywood resumes and both are Awesome! Arquette fake punched Riley in the chest a few times then said he'd see them out there. Riley told Miz that Arquette's delusional. Miz said he has just one goal: to put Randy Orton through a table.

When Raw returned Cole announced the winner for Smackdown vs Raw 2011 THQ video game moment of the year was Amin Okar. They showed clips of some sort of ladder match involving characters made up by the video game user. Go to http://WWE.THQ.com to see the full video.

The winning moment was Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels where HBK's career ended. Michaels was on a pre-recorded video speech with his trophy saying he was at an undisclosed location so WWE won't find him and try to bring him back. Michaels thanked the fans despite the tough moment, saying it's been his sheer joy to be a part of many memorable moments over the years.

Randy Orton vs. Alex Riley & David Arquette
2-on-1 Handicap Match

Randy Orton arrived out to the ring first. Next, The Miz arrived out with Riley and Arquette. Cole said The Miz will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night at 12:35AM EST.

Riley finally got the advantage on Orton, and knocked him down to one knee. Arquette begged for the tag so Riley obliged. Arquette got one axe handle drop on Orton from behind, but Orton got up and soon kicked him down. Orton dropped down to prepare for the RKO. Arquette saw it and backed away fast to tag Riley back in.

Later in the match, the ref was distracted by Riley as Arquette choked Orton in the corner. Not long after that Orton regained control and hit the RKO on Riley for the win. Post-match, Miz snuck in with his MITB briefcase and bashed Orton down from behind. Miz told Arquette to get in the ring, as Miz slid out and grabbed a table from ringside. He brought it back into the ring to set up. Arquette and Miz went for the double suplex on Orton, but Orton blocked it. Orton shoved Arquette to the corner, then tried to grab Miz.

Arquette was back up and hit Orton from behind, allowing Miz to escape the ring. Arquette saw Orton stare him down and tried to rush out of the ring. Orton stopped him, then Powerbombed Arquette through the table with Miz watching from the ramp. Medical staff and refs got in the ring with Arquette being put on a stretcher with a neck brace.

He said he wasn't expecting it, then pulled a victory speech out of his suit. Cole thanked his Cole miners, and all those who paved the way for him. Cole celebrated his second Slammy win as the Raw music started up to cut his speech off.

Next week is WWE week on USA. Raw on Monday at 9PM, Smackdown is Live on Tuesday night at 9PM, Wednesday night there will be a replay of WWE's Tribute to the Troops at 8PM EST.

Justin Roberts introduced Smackdown GM Teddy Long to present the finally Slammy of the Night. Cole was ranting about being cut off during his acceptance speech. King told him to shut up. Long presented WWE Superstar of the Year Nominees: Edge, The Miz, Kane, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton. The winner was decided by WWE Universe voting at WWE.com - John Cena. Cena arrived out and saluted the crowd, then hugged Teddy Long to receive his trophy. Cena got to the podium to make his acceptance speech. Cena thanked the fans for not giving up on him, saying he was surprised to win because up until an hour ago he didn't have a job. Cena said he will keep to his word as he's gotten to each and every member of Nexus except two. He said tonight David Otunga will get hurt, leaving just one, Wade Barrett for Sunday. Cena gave his word that on Sunday at TLC Wade Barrett will get destroyed. Cena charged down to the ring for the main event match.

John Cena vs David Otunga

Otunga arrived out with the rest of Nexus, including Wade Barrett with a mic and steel chair. They showed the band 12 Stones in the audience. They recorded the Nexus theme "We Are One." Barrett had them roll footage from earlier when Nexus beat down Cena and then Barrett smashed a chair down on him.

After the replay, Barrett went and lined up on stage with the rest of Nexus. Otunga went down the line and banged forearms with the other Nexus guys. He stopped at Barrett who didn't bang forearms with him. David gave him a nod, then headed down to the ring. When Otunga got up on the apron, Barrett gave the Nexus guys looks and they each headed backstage one by one. Barrett went backstage leaving Otunga out there alone to face Cena, just like Otunga had the Nexus guys do to Barrett last week.

Cena immediately threw Otunga into the ring and started the beatdown, taking out his pent-up frustration on Otunga. Cena smashed Otunga face first into the corner, then whipped him to the opposite. Cena charged at him, but Otunga moved out of the way then gained the upperhand as he kicked away on Cena. Otunga continued to control the match and had a near fall with Cena kicking out. Moments later, Cena managed to trip Otunga down and locked in the STF. Otunga had no choice but to tap.

They showed Barrett seated in a steel chair up on the stage. Barrett stood up as Cena went outside the ring to retrieve a steel chair. Cena bashed Otunga in the gut with the chair, then bashed it on his back. Otunga pleaded with Barrett to come to the ring to rescue him, but Barrett stayed put, watching as Otunga got hammered by Cena with the chair. Cena got in several more shots on Otunga, until David fell out of the ring. Barrett held up his steel chair on the stage as the two superstars stared at one another to close out Raw.

Winner: John Cena wins via submission over David Otunga.

Raw Preview 12/12/10 - 2010 Slammy Awards

Tonight's Raw will feature the return of the Slammy Awards for 2010. The Slammy's are WWE's annual awards to honor the best wrestlers, divas, announcers and moments from the year past. In 2010, the top award will be 2010 Superstar of the Year. On last year's Raw, it was Chris Jericho who ended up winning the coveted Slammy Trophy. However, Jericho's out of the running this year. WWE currently lists a poll of nominees with Orton, Edge, John Cena, Kane, Rey Mysterio and The Miz all up for it. Which of these superstars will take home the trophy for 2010?

Last week's Raw saw the volatile situation involving recently-fired John Cena and Nexus leader Wade Barrett hit a boiling point. Barrett found his fellow Nexus members at odds with him, after Cena made attack after attack on them. Eventually, David Otunga demanded that Barrett re-hire Cena next week (tonight) or else they'd kick Barrett out as their leader. Wade was shocked by the ultimatum, but seems to have no other choice. Will the WWE Universe see the re-hiring of John Cena on tonight's 3-hour show?

Not only is tonight the Slammy Awards show for Raw, but it will be the final episode of Raw before the 2010 TLC Pay-Per-View. Already scheduled for the event will be the WWE Title rematch when Randy Orton faces The Miz in a Tables Match. Last week, The Miz informed Orton of what the stipulation for their match would be, and even tried to smash him face first through a table. Orton turned the tables on Miz so to speak and attempted to slam him through it. Miz was quick to escape the ring, but soon saw his protege Alex Riley suffer the fate of being Powerbombed through the table. What will go down next between The Miz and Orton on Raw?

Catch tonight's special 3-hour episode of Raw starting at 8PM EST on USA!

WWE Superstars Recap 12.17.09

WWE Superstars recap 12.17.09

Superstars opened with Smackdown's commentary team of Matt Striker and Todd Grisham for the opening match.

Cryme Tyme vs. Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox

For a while, the heels dominated Shad. Knox grounded the big man, then made tags to Ziggler to continue to wear him down. Eventually, Ziggler and Shad were both down. Each man dove and made the tag to their partners, Knox and JTG.

In the closing moments, JTG had the pinfall on Knox. Ziggler rushed in to kick JTG and break up the pin. Shad rushed over and slammed Ziggler to the mat, then kicked him out under the ropes. Knox went over and clotheslined Shad out of the ring. He turned to charge at JTG in the corner. JTG ducked it, then came running back to jump and do his finisher, the Shout-Out necktie drop, on Knox for the pin.

Winners: Cryme Tyme wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler & Mike Knox.

There was no "Ask the Divas" segment this week, but instead a look at the trailer for The Marine 2, available on DVD & Blu-ray on December 29th.

Vance Archer from ECW was walking backstage, looking intense and ready for the next match of the night.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Vance Archer

Archer pretty much dominated this ECW rematch. Byron Saxton of ECW Commentary noted most guys would walk away after losing to Archer once, but Dreamer doesn't do that. Dreamer went for a Frogsplash late in this one, with Archer avoiding it and then coming out of the corner to clothesline Dreamer down. In the final moments of the match, despite a rallying chant for Dreamer, Archer flattened him with a boot, then picked him up to do his reverse DDT maneuver for the win.

Winner: Vance Archer wins via pinfall over Tommy Dreamer.

Superstars came back with Raw's commentary team of Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole. They discussed their new WWE Champion Sheamus who won 2009 Slammy for Breakout Superstar of the Year, then introduced the Raw Rebound. Raw Rebound covered 2009 Slammy Awards. Maria won Diva of the year, JeriShow won tag team of the year, Michael Cole won "Oh My" moment of the year (for puking on Jericho's shoes), and CM Punk won a Slammy for retiring Jeff Hardy. Also during the night, Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker at WM25 won for match of the year, and HBK issued a challenge for a rematch at WM26. DX defended their tag titles against JeriShow, then had Jericho removed from Raw for good. In the main event, John Cena defeated Randy Orton to win 2009 Superstar of the Year. The show ended with Sheamus coming out to the ramp to show off the WWE championship while Cena dared him to come to the ring and get some.

Jack Swagger made his entrance out for the main event of Superstars.

MVP vs. Jack Swagger

Early on MVP was able to clothesline Swagger down and start worked on him in the corner. Jack came back to boot down MVP and started his work on him on the mat. He tried to toss MVP out over the top rope, but MVP held on to skin the cat. Swagger saw it and knocked MVP out of the ring anyway before a commercial break.

As Superstars returned, Swagger had a hold on MVP on the mat. He continued working on MVP's hurt back and midsection. He used several knees to the gut and a few body shots as well. MVP started punching back, but Swagger did an armdrag and put another hold on the Franchise Playa. Swagger tried for the Gutwrench Powerbomb late in the contest, but MVP escaped it and then hit a boot on Swagger in the corner. He finished up with the Playmaker for the big win on Superstars.

Winner: MVP wins via pinfall over Jack Swagger.

Raw Preview 12.14.09

Tonight's WWE Raw episode will not only be the follow-up to Sunday's exciting and controversial 2009 TLC Pay-Per-View, but it will be a special 3-hour show featuring the 2009 Slammy Awards. Award categories will include Superstar of the year, diva of the year and Match of the year. Guest host, Dennis Miller, from TV, movies and talk radio, will fill in to manage the awards event. Who will take home the top prizes from each award category? Will Chris Jericho repeat as Superstar of the Year? The Slammy's should feature plenty of winners, superstars and exciting matches as well!

In one of the biggest matches of the night, John Cena put his WWE title on the line in a Tables match against newcomer Sheamus. To win the match, all that needed to be done was to send your opponent through a table. In shocking fashion, Sheamus managed to shove John Cena off the ropes and crashing through a table to gain the huge victory. Shamus surprisingly won his first WWE Championship after coming to the WWE Raw show back in late October, making for a meteoric rise to superstardom. However, John Cena took a piece of the broken table with him from the ring as a souvenir. What will Cena have to say regarding the championship loss? Will he be granted his rematch on tonight's Raw, or be forced to wait until the next WWE PPV?

And finally, D-Generation X did battle with Chris Jericho & Big Show in a Tables, ladders & chairs match for the Unified Tag team titles. The match featured all sorts of mayhem, with bodies being put on the line as all four men attempted to climb the ladder and retrieve the belt hanging up above the ring. In the closing moments, JeriShow attempted to work together as a team with Big Show putting Jericho on his shoulders, right after they had smashed DX inside a ladder using a steel chair. DX was not defeated even with a broken ladder, as they managed to knock Jericho out of the ring onto a table, and took out Big Show. From there, Triple H steadied a broken ladder for his partner Shawn Michaels to climb up and retrieve the belt. Now DX is celebrating their first ever tag team championship reign. What will be in store next for DX? Will a rematch be booked on Raw? Will this finally stop Chris Jericho from showing up on Raw to make insulting remarks to the WWE Universe?

Tune in to WWE Raw's 3 hour Slammy Awards show tonight at a special start time of 8PM EST on USA!

2 on 3 Handicap Match

Early in the match, Triple H and Batista were able to knock Rhodes and Manu to the outside. As both men looked out, Orton tried to sneak behind them for a possible RKO. They turned and Orton dropped to roll out of the ring as Raw went to break.

Raw returned with Orton stomping on Triple H down on the mat. Rhodes and Manu each took a turn tagging in to work on wearing down The Game. Orton barked instructions to Rhodes to squeeze a headlock on HHH down on the mat. Triple H seemed to wear down briefly, then got to his feet, but Rhodes shoved him to the corner and tagged Orton in. Orton tried to wear HHH down with another headlock, but this time HHH got to his feet and used a backdrop to slam Orton back. HHH crawled over for a tag, but Orton tagged Rhodes in. Rhodes ran over to attack, with HHH eventually shoving him off a bulldog attempt. The two men crwaled to their partners, with Manu and Batista tagging in.

The Animal rushed in to clothesline Manu then knock Orton off the apron. Batista delivered a Spinebuster on Manu, then went for the Batista Bomb. Rhodes tried to jump off the corner at Biatsta, but he shoved Manu into his path. Both men crashed to the mat, then went to opposite corners where Batista clotheslined each. Orton snuck in to try to RKO Batista.

Truth clotheslined Ziggler over the top rope, then shot himself over the top rope onto Ziggler outside. The two men started to fight it out, trading punches while the ref kept counting them out. Truth got the upperhand and got onto the apron at 8, but Ziggler jumped up and hit a spin kick to knock Truth off. Ziggler rolled into the ring just before 10 to beat the count for his first victory.

Just then, Cena's theme music came on and Cena came rushing to the ring. Jericho looked ready to fight then took off through the crowd. Cena went to go after him, but just then Edge's music came on and the Rated-R Superstar made his way down to the ring.

2008 Slammy Awards Preview

On next Monday's Raw the Slammy Awards make their return on a special 3 hour show. The "Slammy Awards" was a WWE concept where awards, similar to the Oscars and Grammy Awards were given to its superstars. The first Slammy Awards show was over 20 years ago, back in 1986. During that show winners included: Roddy Piper, Nikolai Volkoff and the Junkyard Dog. The Slammy's were done again in 1987, then took about 10 years off. The last "Slammy" Awards were handed out back in 1997. Winners then included Rocky Maivia for "New Sensation", Shawn Michaels' Sweet Chin Music for "Best Finisher", and Sable for "Miss Slammy".

The categories in 2008 will include: Superstar of the Year, Match of the Year, OMG Moment of the Year, Diva of the Year, "DAMN" Moment of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, Best Musical Performance, Best Finishing Maneuver, Extreme Moment of the Year, Couple of the Year, Breakout Star of the Year, Announcer of the Year, Best WWE.com Exclusive and Best Impersonation.

Here's some thoughts on who might take home the much-coveted Slammy awards in 2008...

Superstar of the year - The nominees were recently announced on Raw as Jeff Hardy, Batista, Edge, Chris Jericho, Triple H & John Cena. It's hard to see Hardy winning this due to his real life problems and the suspension that kept him out of WM24. Cena shouldn't win either, as he's only held the title for a few weeks. Cena had been injured and out of the title picture for most of 2008. That leaves Triple H, Jericho and Edge. Triple H wore the WWE belt for quite some time and Edge held onto the World Heavyweight for a great deal of time. One of these two should take the award, unless WWE is really looking to push Cena onto a Hulk Hogan level. Then again, these are just Slammy Awards..

One thing to definitely look forward to is the matches between these stars. John Cena battles Edge in a familiar match, while Jeff Hardy battles Chris Jericho. The Triple H vs. Batista could be a classic, but most likely won't see a clean finish thanks to Randy Orton.

Match of the Year may be the Edge vs. Undertaker Hell in a Cell, Michaels vs. Jericho Last Man Standing on Raw, or Matt Hardy vs. Finlay ECW title match, but the WWE could go many ways here. Most matches Edge, Chris Jericho, or Shawn Michaels were a part of could qualify. Don't count out a Jeff Hardy vs. Triple H match either. We should get to see most of these on the year end review shows of Raw, ECW & Smackdown.

Diva of the year will likely go to Beth Phoenix or Michelle McCool. Each of these WWE divas has represented her brand well this past year and is the current title holder there. It's hard to see any of the other divas taking this one.

Extreme Moment of the Year seems to favor Jeff Hardy's Swanton off the scaffolding onto Randy Orton on Monday Night Raw. Out of all the incidents on all of the shows, this one screams "Extreme" more some than any other.

Tag team of the year: Right now The Miz & Morrison seem to be on a hot streak. They wore the tag titles, and with Cade & Murdoch out of WWE it's unlikely they'd give them a Slammy Award. WWE gives Miz & Morrison this award to continue their promotion.

Finishing Move of the Year: Evan Bourne's Moonsault off the corner turnbuckle is definitely a thing of beauty. The nod may go to more powerful superstars such as Triple H with the Pedigree, Cena with the FU, or Batista with the Batista Bomb. Jericho's Code Breaker is worthy as well. In 1987, Bret Hart won the award for his Sharpshooter, so possibly Cena's STFU takes it here.

Couple of the year seems like a no brainer right now with Santino and Beth Phoenix. However, you'd have to consider Edge & Vickie Guerrero also top candidates in this category.

Breakout star of the year
: ECW has quite a few of these, with Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne both doing well on the show. Ricky Ortiz is another. William Regal's winning King of the Ring as well as IC title may make him a breakout star, but he's a veteran wrestler who's been known to breakout from time to time. Jack Swagger likely takes this award following his impressive win over Ricky Ortiz to stay undefeated and become a #1 Contender on ECW.

Announcer of the year, most likely Lillian Garcia, with Justin Roberts coming in a close second. If they're referring to commentary, it could be ECW's Matt Striker.

Best Musical Performance - We can only hope this includes real musical acts and not Jillian's screeching in the ring. If it is for superstars, Santino's recent rap on Raw may take the prize.

Best Impersonation This category seems to favor Charlie Haas who put in a lot of different gigs impersonating everyone from Cena to Hogan to Jim Ross to Bret Hart. How will he not win this one? The only other superstar who really does impersonations is Santino Marella.

As for OMG & DAMN moments those are anybody's guess with all that's gone down in the WWE this past year! Will the DAMN moments only be situations where Ron Simmons exclaimed "DAMN!" at their conclusion? Should be interesting this year as the Slammy's return. Make sure to grab your popcorn and drinks, when this year's Slammy Awards air Monday December 8th at 8PM EST on USA.
