Raw Results 04/02/12

Raw Results from Miami, FL:

All of the WWE divas and superstars were seated in a room waiting for a meeting.  John Laurinaitis came in with David Otunga and spoke about his new role as GM of Raw and Smackdown.  He said he won't abuse his power but will give the people what they want.  He booked Santino to defend the US title in a Triple Threat against Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler.

CM Punk then asked a question but wasn't seen on camera.  Laurinaitis said he wasn't answering questions yet.  Punk came walking from the back with his championship and said that the majority of people in the room still think JL's a toolbox.  Laurinaitis proceeded to book Punk to defend his title against Mark Henry later tonight.

Rock arrived to the ring to a loud ovation and multiple chants including "Boots 2 Asses" and "You still got it."  He spoke about last night's epic match and how he had to thank John Cena for giving him the match they had last night.  Rock made the interesting statement that he's had a vision to be the WWE champion one day again.

Cole introduced footage of Cena stating before that if he loses the match to The Rock, he "loses everything."  Cole said Cena will be out later to discuss the aftermath.

They showed still shot images from last night's Wrestlemania 28 Pay-Per-View set to Flo Rida's theme music.

Santino Marella defeated Jack Swagger by pinfall to retain the US Championship.  Late in the match, Swagger and Ziggler started arguing.  Ziggler went to punch Swagger, so Swagger hit a belly-to-belly suplex on him.  Moments later, that cost them as Santino avoided both men's attacks.  He catapulted Ziggler into the corner, sending him out of the ring, then was able to avoid a running Swagger in the corner.  Santino put on the Cobra sock and hit his move for the win.

Post-match, the heels tried to grab Santino and beat him up.  Santino pointed at something behind them and then quickly fled the ring.  He started to rush up the ramp with the heels chasing.  Suddenly, Brodus Clay appeared from backstage and stood next to Santino.  Ziggler tried to rush at him but Clay headbutted him down.  Swagger stared at Brodus but didn't go at him, and instead checked on Ziggler.  Clay's music hit bringing out his dancers.  He and Santino showed off some moves.

Lord Tensai made his debut on Raw, accompanied by Sakamoto.  Tensaid went up against Riley who didn't get any ring entrance, but was already in ring.  Cole and Lawler said Tensai was dominant for years in Japan and also against Riley.  Late in the match he hit a modified "Glam Slam" which he turned into a side slam, then did elbow drops and a huge Senton bomb.  Tensaid hit a huge Power bomb and finally the ref called for the bell to give him the win, stopping the match.  Post-match, Tensai spit out some spew onto his hand, then grabbed Riley's head with a claw to put him down to the mat.

More still shots were shown from Wrestlemania including Sheamus with the championship belt, Kelly Kelly with Maria Menounos, and a dejected John Cena after his loss.

They showed another video clip of Cena talking about the importance of beating The Rock at Mania.

Mark Henry defeated CM Punk due to countout.  Late in the match, Punk scored with his Macho Man elbow from off the corner.  He followed up later with a running knee to Henry in the corner, then went for the Bulldog.  On that move, Henry picked up Punk and tossed him out over the top rope.  Punk was laying outside the ring trying to get back as the ref counted him out.  Post-match, the ref alerted Henry he didn't win the belt due to the finish.  Henry went out and picked up Punk and slammed him hard on the floor.

John Laurinaitis came out to the stage with David Otunga.  He said Punk will defend his title on a more consistent basis.  Laurinaitis said he sees dark clouds on the horizon, but not a storm, a natural disaster.  Just then, Jericho's voice was heard, and he came walking from out of the crowd with a mic.  He said last night's match was great so they need to celebrate now with a drink.

Jericho went over and grabbed a glass bottle of whisky.  Jericho proposed a toast, then poured the alcohol all over him saying he would lead Punk down the path his father took.  Jericho kept talking about his family problems.  He went to kick Punk in the head and slipped in the puddle of alcohol.  Y2J then brought a second bottle out and warned Punk that if he drinks too much it goes straight to your head.  Jericho smashed the bottle over his head, leaving Punk layed out.

Sheamus was introduced as new World Heavyweight Champion, but before he could even speak a few words, Alberto Del Rio's music hit.  Ricardo Rodriguez came to the stage and introduced Del Rio as he came out in a fancy red car.  Del Rio got in the ring and congratulated Sheamus for beating Bryan in record time.  Del Rio said now he's got a new challenger.  Sheamus finally got to speak saying he's glad Del Rio's back so he can Brogue Kick someone in the face.

Del Rio said in honor of his return, John Laurinaitis has given him a match Friday on Smackdown.  It'll be for a future World Heavyweight title shot.  Del Rio's mic kept cutting out during his speech, so he went over to get one from Ricardo.  As Del Rio turned around, Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick.  Ricardo checked on Del Rio post-match as Sheamus showed off the title from the stage.

They showed Daniel Bryan and AJ watching on a TV monitor backstage.  Josh Matthews came up to ask how disappointed Bryan is after last night's loss.  Bryan just stared at him saying nothing, so Matthews said "Thank you for your time."

They showed a few more still shots from Wrestlemania including fireworks and John Cena greeting Alex Rodriguez with Torrie Wilson ringside.

MGK was shown seated in the front row of the Raw audience.  He drew boos because he performed his song "Invincible" last night in support of John Cena.

Kofi Kingston defeated Cody Rhodes by pinfall after hitting Trouble in Paradise.  Rhodes had control of things but Big Show arrived out to interrupt.  With a mic in hand, he presented a Cody Rhodes Wrestlemania moment.  They showed Rhodes getting KO'd by Show's WMD punch.  He was fuming in the ring and that allowed Kofi to get the win.

They showed a promo for Wrestlemania 29 in New York/New Jersey.  The next Mania is April 7, 2013.

Mark Henry was back in the locker room when Abraham Washington came up to him.  He offered to represent Henry and help him get things going.  He gave him a business card and left with Henry looking upset.

Cole and Lawler reviewed some of the outcomes of last night's Wrestlemania matches including Team Teddy losing to Team Johnny.

Eve Torres arrived out on stage to chants of "Hoeski."  She said everyone got their Wrestlemania moment and she got hers.  Eve talked some trash about Zack Ryder, and then supported John Laurinaitis' motto of "People Power."

More still shots from Mania matches and the fans.

The Miz arrived out with Cole saying he's still undefeated at Wrestlemania and helped Team Johnny win.  Ryder came out and Cole called him a loser.  The Miz won by pinfall after managing to throw Ryder shoulder-first into the ringpost.  He followed up with Skullcrushing Finale for the win.

Cole noted that John Cena is finally at the arena to call out The Rock after his WM28 loss.  The camera showed a shot of Cena's dressing/locker room backstage.

Raw returned with even more Wrestlemania 28 still shots including Jericho vs. Punk, fireworks, and more.  Cole said that on Friday's Smackdown Kane and Randy Orton have a Wrestlemania rematch, and there will also be Sheamus vs. Alberto Del Rio.  If Del Rio wins he gets a future championship match.

John Cena's theme music hit and drew a loud chorus of boos.  Cena did the salute but didn't run to the ring, but instead walked to the ring.  Cena waited out more boos and jeers before starting to talk.  Cena quoted Mohammed Ali about taking defeats in life.  Cena said anyone else in his shoes would be making excuses now, but that's not him.  He said there was never one second he thought he was going to lose, because if you think like that, you've already lost.

Cena waited out some "You're a loser" chants and asked "will this finally be a day that I lash out at the WWE Universe?"  Cena says as a man he will own up and admit to defeat.  The crowd started up Daniel Bryan's "Yes" chant after that.  Cena said last night's performance will not be his last.  Cena apologized for letting anyone down last night.  He gave a shout out to Machine Gun Kelly and pointed him out in the crowd.

Cena said it's time to address the rumor mill - he's not there to call out The Rock.  Cena said they settled things last night.  A "we want Lesnar" chant started up from the crowd with Cena reflecting on it.  Cena said he wants to invite The Rock to come back down to the ring.  Cena said Dwayne Johnson has earned his respect after all they've gone through.  Cena said after last night he can truly consider Rock the greatest WWE superstar in this industry.

A "Yes" chant started up as Cena admitted Rock was the better man last night.  Cena started to join them then said "Daniel Bryan you owe me one."  Cena asked for Rock to come out so he can congratulate him on his victory.  He waited as the crowd kept chanting.  Instead, Brock Lesnar's theme music hit and Lesnar stepped onto the stage.  The crowd went crazy as Cole said the arena has come unglued.

Lesnar paced around the ring then got on the apron as Cena applauded him.  Lesnar talked a bit then offered a handshake.  Instead of shaking, he hoisted Cena up on his shoulders, looking around at the crowd, then delivered the F5.  Lesnar's musi played on as he posed up on the ring corner.  Raw cut off with Cole going crazy about it.

After the bell sounded, Daniel Bryan summoned AJ onto the ring apron for a kiss. They smooched briefly, but as Bryan turned around he got hit by The Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Sheamus made the pinfall cover for the big win. Sheamus celebrated in the ring as a dejected Daniel Bryan was comforted by AJ from the ramp. Winners: Sheamus wins by pinfall over Daniel Bryan to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

They had a Team Johnny meeting back in the locker room. Everyone was talking over one another until Miz tried to give a pep talk about how he made history at last year's Mania. Everyone shrugged him off. David Otunga came in and gave a big speech to get everyone psyched up.

Randy Orton vs. Kane

Orton had control late in the match, but as Lawler noted, Kane cut off his momentum. He hit a huge vertical suplex on The Viper for a near fall.

Later Orton tried several clotheslines to knock Kane down but couldn't. He ducked a clothesline from Kane and came off the ropes for a huge scoop slam. Orton followed by shoving Kane to the steel ring post, then grabbed Kane through the ropes for his DDT off the middle rope.

Later still, Kane countered the RKO and landed a huge boot kick for another near fall. Orton went for his punt kick, but Kane avoided it, grabbed Orton and chokeslammed him for another near fall.

The final moments of the match saw both wrestlers up on the corner. Kane got the upperhand and put his hand around Orton's throat, then jumped off the corner to chokeslam Orton for the big win. Orton layed on the mat, as Kane stumbled out of the ring holding his head.

Winner: Kane wins by pinfall over Randy Orton.

Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes
Intercontinental Championship Match

Big Show manhandled Rhodes early on, including sitting on his face in the corner for a bit. Moments later, Rhodes was able to ground Show by taking out his legs. He kept kicking away and stomping on Show on the mat.

Later, Rhodes went for a kick on Show but Show caught him by the foot. Rhodes managed to regain control and avoided a chokeslam, then yanked Show's arm across the top rope.

Moments later, Rhodes landed a Beautiful Disaster kick. However, Big Show clipped him when Rhodes tried for a second one. Show then lowered one of his straps to reveal half his chest, then revved up the WMD punch. Rhodes was KO'd as he stood up and Show took the pinfall. He let out tears of joy as he hoisted up his IC title for the fans to see.

Winner: Big Show wins via pinfall over Cody Rhodes to become new Intercontinental Champion.

Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve

Beth Phoenix arrived out wearing a head dress with feathers on it and carrying her championship belt. Eve was with her talking trash on the way down the ramp. Maria Menounous and the EXTRA segment involving Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix. Phoenix showed up with Eve Torres to interrupt the Kelly Kelly interview. It ended with the match being set up for WM28.  Cole reported that Menounos has two stress fractures in her feet, but is still in second place on "DWTS."

During the match, Kelly got the upperhand on Eve in the corner. She tagged in Maria and they did a double booty rub into Maria's face in the corner. However, the ref got distracted and Beth managed to kick Maria in the side as Kelly was being escorted to the apron.

The heels continued to work over Maria, including Beth Phoenix stomping on her as the ref was holding Kelly from getting into the ring. The heels continued to doubleteam and keep her away from Kelly. Eve went for the booty pop flip, but Maria kicked her away and through the ropes. Maria finally made the hot tag to Kelly who came in and pounced on Beth, then punched Eve off the apron.

Later, Kelly managed to hit a huge move off the corner and had a near fall. Eve came in to disrupt things. Beth went for the Glam Slam but Kelly countered and bulldogged Beth. Kelly made a tag to Maria who seemed really beat up. Maria slowly climbed up the corner, but Beth rushed over to grab her and press her overhead. Kelly snuck into the ring and pulled Maria down by her feet. From there, she and Maria shoved Beth to the ropes, which knocked Eve off the apron. Maria then did a schoolboy pinfall to grab the big win.

Winners: Maria Menounos and Kelly Kelly win by pinfall over Beth Phoenix & Eve Torres.

Matt Striker talked to Shawn Michaels backstage who was wearing a special referee shirt. He said it's ironic that tonight he could be the man who calls the end of an era or the end of "The Streak."

Justin Roberts made the announcement that Sun Life Stadium had a brand new record of 78,363 fans in attendance for Wrestlemania 28 tonight. Fireworks were set off as Cole and Lawler talked about it and the fans celebrated.

Justin Roberts introduced "Good Ol' JR" who came down to the ring sporting a goatee. Michael Cole offered a handshake as did Lawler, and JR joined them to give commentary on Taker vs. HHH.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker
Hell in a Cell Match

Shawn Michaels was introduced first as the special guest referee for this match.  Next to the ring was the challenger, The Game Triple H.  After he finished his poses, he turned to stare towards Shawn Michaels, and then awaited The Undertaker.  The arena became completely dark for the entrance with cell phones held up like candles.  Undertaker arrived out in some sort of spiked leather medieval outfit with the smoke surrounding him.

Before the bell rang, Undertaker revealed himself without hair and a shaved head, then stared down Triple H.  The two locked eyes at the center of the ring with HHH talking trash but Taker unphased by his words.  Both men looked up at the Hell in a Cell structure as it began to lower.  Cole noted that these two competitors have been in a total of 19 HIAC matches.

Early on, things spilled outside the ring where Taker managed to flip HHH over his back after whipping him against the cell wall.  Taker followed with multiple headbutts on The Game outside the ring.  Taker continued his dominance using the ring steps and then his "Old School" move from off the corner to take down Hunter.

Back outside the ring, Taker slammed the steps into Hunter's face.  Next up, was a huge leg drop on HHH's neck as he was draped over the apron.  However, Triple H managed to get a DDT in to cut off Taker and gain some control.  Moments later, Triple H hit the Spinebuster on Taker on the steel steps.  Taker tried for Hells Gate on Hunter from the steps, and locked it in.

HHH managed to use his strength to get up with Taker and slam him to the mat.  At this point, HHH was bleeding as Hunter used a steel chair on Taker, then tossed him face first into the steps in the ring corner.  Repeated chair shots from HHH crashed down on Taker.  Michaels tried to stop Hunter, but HHH shoved him away.  Michaels and HHH got in each other's faces, with HBK telling his pal to just cover him.  HHH yelled at Michaels "end it, or I while."  Taker refused to stop the match.

Taker kept stumbling around and kept telling Michaels not to end the match.  Triple H retrieved the Sledgehammer from outside the ring and came in to tell Michaels to end it, or I will.  Michaels begged Taker to let him ring the bell.  HHH hit a huge sledgehammer shot on Taker to knock him down.  He had the pinfall, but Taker got his shoulder up at the last possible second.

Taker prepared to use the sledgehammer to smash Taker's head, but Michaels jumped up and pulled it out of his hands.  HHH screamed at Michaels to ring the bell.  HBK threw the sledgehammer out of the ring, then went to call for the bell but Taker was still moving around.  As Michaels crouched down to ask Undertaker to stop things, Taker put HBK into Hell's Gate.  HHH saw it and rushed over to use the sledgehammer to hit Taker.  Michaels was out of it as HHH went over with the hammer, but got kicked in the gut by Taker.  Taker then locked Hells Gate onto HHH.  Hunter struggled to escape, with Taker keeping it locked until HHH passed out.  Finally, Taker released the hold.

Referee Charles Robinson rushed to the Hell in a Cell to officiate the match.  He got the cage unlocked and got into the ring just as Taker chokeslammed The Game for a pin.  Taker pinned him but HHH got out at the last possible second.  Taker stood up, grabbed Charles Robinson and chokeslammed him to the mat, incapacitating a second ref.

Moments later, Taker and HHH battled it out, with Shawn Michaels getting back to his feet.  HHH shoved Taker away and Michaels hit him with Sweet Chin Music.  Hunter hit the Pedigree and made the cover, but somehow Taker escaped a pinfall!

The closing moments saw Taker beat up Triple H unmercifully.  It came to the point where HHH was barely able to stand and tried to lift up his sledgehammer.  However, as the announcers noted, Triple H had no gas left in the tank.  Taker pulled the Sledgehammer away.  Triple H gave a DX crotch chop but then got hit by the sledgeahmmer in the head.  Taker finished him off with the Tombstone and Michaels made the final pinfall count.  Taker is now 20-0 lifetime at Mania.

The post-match saw Michaels help up Taker and raise his hand.  Moments later after Taker stumbled around, HBK and Taker both helped up HHH to his feet.  They helped him up the ramp and backstage as fans continued to celebrate the match.

Winner: The Undertaker wins by pinfall over Triple H to extend his undefeated Wrestlemania streak to 20-0.

Howard Finkel introduced the 2012 Hall of Fame inductees: Mil Mascalas, Keilani and Justin Anoia (for Yokozuna), Ron Simmons, Mike Tyson, the Four Horsemen, and Edge. As expected, Edge got the biggest ovation from the crowd and choked back tears up on the stage as his music played.

WWE showed a promo that they are giving away 100 trips to Wrestlemania 29 at Met Life Stadium. Text "MANIA29" to 59907 or WWE.com/WinMania to win airfare, hotel accomodations, and two tickets to Wrestlemania 29.

Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny

If Team Teddy wins, Teddy Long becomes the General Manager of both Smackdown and Raw. If Team Johnny wins, John Laurinaitis becomes GM of both shows.

Brie Bella introduced the members of Team Johnny one-by-one as the Raw theme song played.  The Miz, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and David Otunga.  John Laurinaitis arrived out with Vicki as the flag bearer.

Nikki Bella introduced Team Teddy: Kofi Kingston, Great Khali, R-Truth, Zack Ryder (with Eve), Booker T and team captain Santino Marella.  Teddy Long was led out by flag bearer Hornswoggle, and accompanied to the ring by Aksana.

The early going saw various members of Team TEddy all getting into the act.

At one point, Swagger and McIntyre did a double team flapjack on Khali.  Kofi and R-Truth cleared Swagger and Truth out of the ring and then Ziggler.  They picked up Hornswoggle and tossed him out, but Mark Henry caught him mid air and tossed him to the floor.  Truth and Kofi both flew over the top rope to take out the heels on the outside.  Moments later,

In the ring, Booker crawled and made a hot tag to Santino who came in to take down The Miz.  Santino did a flying headbutt off the corner on Miz, then took out The Cobra.  Laurinaitis got up on the apron with Santino rushing at him for the Cobra.  JL dropped off the apron and Miz ended up hit by The Cobra.  The pinfall was broken up by Ziggler though.

Zack Ryder got tagged in though and had serious momentum.  He took down Miz and nearly hit Rough Ryder, but Miz tossed Ryder onto Ziggler who was hit by the move instead.  Ryder started to get revved up and Eve got in the ring to do the "Woo woo woo" with him.  The ref tried to get Eve out of the ring, and that distraction allowed Miz to grab Ryder and hit Skullcrushing Finale for the win.

Team Johnny celebrated outside the ring as Eve checked on Ryder in the ring.  The rest of Team Teddy all stood back in the corner looking at them.  Ryder got up and when he turned to face Eve, she kicked him in the groin.  As Ryder fell to the mat, Eve exited the ring and waltzed up the ramp to "Hoeski" chants.  Eve stood up on the stage and got booed as Ryder looked out through the ropes at her.

Winners: Team Johnny wins by pinfall over Team Teddy giving John Laurinaitis control of Raw and Smackdown.

CM Punk was backstage preparing for his championship match.  Suddenly, cheers were heard as Team Johnny came walking down the hall jubilant.  The team walked off and John Laurinaitis went up to Punk, he said he wants a clean fight out there, not a brawl.  He told Punk if he loses the match by DQ, he'll also lose his title.  Punk was fuming as Laurinaitis walked off.

Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk

The first man introduced was the challenger Chris Jericho. Justin Roberts let fans know of the new added stipulation that if Punk is disqualified in the match, he loses the WWE title. Cole introduced footage of comments made by Punk and Jericho leading to this "personal" championship match.

Early in the match, Jericho tried to use the stipulation to test Punk's temper and push him over the edge.  At one point, Punk grabbed a steel chair and prepared to hit Jericho, with Chris yelling "hit me in the head" and trying to taunt him with remarks about his family.  Punk managed to keep his cool though.

At one point, Punk went for his Macho Man elbow from the top rope but Jericho blocked it.  He followed with the Codebreaker but Punk's momentum threw him out of the ring.  Jericho went out and brought Punk back in.  As they got in the ring, Punk managed to surprise Y2J with the GTS, then crawled over for a pin, but Jericho got a leg on the bottom rope.

Later, on the corner Punk went for a Hurricanrana but Jericho stopped him and dropped off the corner, putting Punk into Walls of Jericho.  He held it for a while but Punk refused to the tap and got to the bottom rope to break it.

Later, Punk had Jericho up for GTS and yelled out "Best in the World!"  Jericho countered it and turned it into the Walls of Jericho locking things in.  Punk crawled to reach any rope within distance.  Jericho walked him back towards center ring.  Punk managed to grab Jericho's leg and put on a small package pinfall.  Jericho reversed it.  Punk managed to get him in the Anaconda Vice and screamed for Jericho to tap, but he wouldn't.  Y2J escaped it and tried for Walls of Jericho.  Punk got Anaaconda Vice on once again.

Jericho tried to avoid tapping out, but finally realized he had nowhere to go and gave in.  Punk retains the WWE Championship by submission!

Winner: CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho by submission to retain the WWE Championship.

They had the Funkosaurus Brodus Clay come out to kill some time. He asked everyone to reach down in their pockets. He said they're going to call somebody, their mommas! Brodus got on his phone and called his momma, then realized his momma was there. He introduced "Momma Clay" who came out from backstage and started to dance in front of him. From backstage, her bridge club came out dancing wearing similar wigs and outfits. Clay danced with them and his backup dancers.

Michael Cole fed to a preview of "GI Joe Retaliation" starring The Rock. Next they had video footage from the Cena vs. Rock special that aired before. Various wrestlers were shown speaking about the big match at Wrestlemania too.

Justin Roberts introduced Sean "Diddy" Combs who then introduced his recording artist MGK to perform "Invincible" which is one of the Wrestlemania 28 theme songs.  MGK added in a monologue at the end about how tonight an underdog will rise above the hate to defeat one of the biggest egos.  After MGK finished and walked backstage, Cena's music hit and he arrived out.

Next, Justin Roberts introduced Flo Rida to perform "Good Feeling" and "Wild Ones" before Rock's entrance.  Flo Rida had several dancers on stage with him for the performance.  After they wrapped up the second song, The Rock's theme music hit and out came "The Great One" for his entrance.  Rock walked from side to side across the stage to survey the crowd before heading to the ring.

John Cena vs. The Rock

Before the bell, the crowd exchanged "Let's Go Cena" and "Cena sucks" chants. Rock and Cena took it in, and finally the bell rang to start things off. Cena was able to shove Rock away to start things off. They locked up again and this time Rock shoved Cena away to the corner to show his strength.

Rock gained control several times early on, with Cena having to eventually roll out of the ring to recover. Back in the ring, Cena managed to gain control and rammed into Rock in the corner several times. Moments later, Cena avoided a charging Rock and pulled down the top rope to cause him to fall out. Cena went outside and picked up Rock to drop him on top of the crowd barrier. Cena dropped him on the announce table then got back in the ring.

At one point in the match, Rock hit a Spinebuster to put Cena down and prepared for "The People's Elbow." Cena grabbed Rock's leg and tried to put on STF but Rock escaped. From there, Cena hit multiple shoulder takedowns and then slammed Rock down before hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He went for the AA, but Rock escaped it. Both guys clotheslined one another down and hit the mat while the ref counted.

The Rock mocked the "You Can't C Me" taunt, and swung at Cena. Cena ducked and managed to hit the AA out of nowhere, but The Rock kicked out of the pinfall sending the fans into a frenzy. Rock and Cena grappled more with Rock able to hit the Rock Bottom for a near fall of his own.

Later, Cena hit a huge legdrop from the top rope for another near fall. Rock escaped another AA attempt by grabbing the top rope and managed to put Cena into a Sharpshooter moments later. Cena used his power and strength to refuse to tap. Cena crawled to the bottom rope and grabbed it. After it was broken, Rock punched away on Cena then put another Sharpshooter on him. Again, Cena got the bottom rope to break it.

After Rock beat up Cena outside the ring a bit, they both went back to the inside. Cena managed to trip up Rock and put on the STF. Rock tried to crawl to the ropes, with Cena briefly releasing the hold and dragging him to the center of the ring to reapply it. Rock seemed to be fading out with Cole saying that Rock might pass out before he taps. The ref raised and dropped Rock's arm twice, but on the third time he kept his arm up and then powered his way to the ropes to break the STF.

Moments later, The Rock finally hit the People's Elbow for a pinfall with Cena barely escaping that one to Rock's surprise. In the closing moments, Cena got the upperhand as he had Rock flat on his back. However, this time he decided to mock Rock's People's Elbow. Cena tore off his arm band and tossed it out to the crowd then mocked Rock as he ran the ropes. On the way back from the other side's rope, Rock got up and grabbed Cena to hit him with a final Rock Bottom to win it by pinfall.

Rocky posed from the various ring corners as fireworks exploded and the Miami crowd went crazy. Cena sat on the ramp looking dejected over the loss and nodded to a fan nearby. Cole signed off just before 11 PM EST.

Winner: The Rock wins via pinfall over John Cena.

WWE Raw Results from Atlanta, GA:

Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated Randy Orton and Sheamus by pinfall.  AJ was ringside and got in the ring to stand in Bryan's way when Sheamus went for the Brogue Kick.  The distraction allowed Kane to get involved and chokeslam Sheamus behind the ref's back.  Daniel Bryan made the pinfall cover, then celebrated joyously around the ring.

Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis introduced their team captains and flag bearer - Vickie Guerrero, or mascot- Hornswoggle, before a match.

Santino Marella defeated David Otunga by pinfall after hitting The Cobra.  John Laurinaitis got in the ring to protest the decision.  The Miz rushed out to the ring and hit the Skullcrushing Finale on Santino, then was announced as the final member of Team Johnny.

They had a video package involving The Undertaker and him talking about ending HHH's career.

Michael Cole announced there will be a special Wrestlemania Press Conference on Wednesday at 2:30PM EST.

Kelly Kelly defeated Eve Torres in a quick match.  Eve dominated for a bit with Beth Phoenix at ringside for her.  However, Kelly stole a surprise win by pinfall, then escaped the clutches of Beth Phoenix.

CM Punk and Christian match didn't happen as announced.  Prior to the match, Chris Jericho appeared on the big screen and brought up how Punk's parents married after Punk's birthday, making him a bastard.  That enraged Punk to the point he snapped.  After gaining the upperhand on the outside against Christian, he beat him unmercifully around the outside area yelling "This is you, Jericho!"

Big Show defeated Primo by pinfall after a chokeslam.  Rosa Mendes got up on the apron and started to yell at Show.  Epico tried to attack from behind and got chokeslammed. As Rosa kept screaming from the bottom of the ramp, Cody Rhodes arrived out to cut a promo, mocking Show for having no success at Wrestlemania.  He promised to make a fool of Show on April Fool's day at WM28 and retain his Intercontinental Championship.

They had a new promo for Lord Tensai.  Also announced, Christian re-aggravated his neck injury and won't be a part of Team Johnny at Wrestlemania 28.

The Bellas were backstage wearing a Team Johnny and Team Teddy shirt discussing who was on which team and why that team was better.  Zack Ryder came up wearing a Team Teddy shirt saying Team Teddy has something Team Johnny will never have.  He got into a mini-argument with one of the Bellas and said "maybe you should change your face."  The other Bella got disgusted and they both left.  Eve came up and flirted with Zack, then asked him to stay at her hotel for Wrestlemania.  He went for a kiss but she stopped him saying after Wrestlemania there will be time to celebrate.

Josh Matthews interviewed CM Punk backstage.  Punk said if he wants to know how he feels, to ask Christan how he feels.  Punk said he's not a wrestler, but the best wrestler in the world.

Cole announced that John Laurinaitis replaced Christian with Drew McIntyre for his team.  Cole said Team Teddy has just 5 members while Team Johnny has 6.

Mark Henry defeated The Great Khali by pinfall.  Late in the match, Khali seemed to have control, but Henry grabbed him and hit the World's Strongest Slam for the win.  Post-match, Henry yelled out at Long from inside the ring.  Laurinaitis grabbed Teddy and shoved him into the ring for Henry to scare.  The rest of Team Johnny arrived out to guard the ring.  Henry cornered Long.  Santino and Ryder rushed down the ramp but they got quickly beat down.

R-Truth came out and jumped on them all too.  Kofi Kingston rushed down and jumped up on the apron, then tried a springboard move towards Henry.  Henry caught him and hit World's Strongest Slam.  Henry eventually picked up Long for the Slam, but all of a sudden Booker T rushed into the ring and attacked Henry.  He got the upperhand and hit the scissors kicks to lay out Henry.  Long thanked Booker and then asked him to join Team Teddy.  Booker grabbed the mic and say "Can you dig that Suckaaa??"

The Rock arrived out and waited a while before talking.  On the way to the ring he stopped to pat a kid on the head while a guy was flipping him the double bird nearby.  He gave a talk about how many thought WM20 would be his last, and he keeps getting asked when he's coming back.  He said he went to Georgia for last year's Wrestlemania 27.  He said then he knew the wait was over for him to return to Wrestlemania again.

Rock started to talk about what he was going to do at Sunday's Wrestlemania 28.  Cena's music hit and he arrived out onto the ramp, before rushing down to the ring.  Rock stood back and looked unimpressed by it all.  Cena told Rok he'll never see anything like John Cena. Cena said here he is like every single night, and then talked about how he's dealt with the hate for years, but he's rised above it and won.

He said he is going to win at Wrestlemania as well.  Cena brought up he's been a longer active member in WWE than Rock has.  Cena said he's been there in the good times and the bad times, saying this is what he does and he's proud of it.  They flashed on the screen that John Cena was now trending at Twitter.  Cena said he knows that Rock will be back to show business after their match.  He said his office won't change after the match, it'll be the ring.

Rock gave his rebuttal saying he helped build this office that Cena calls home.  Rock said he's come back after all these years to beat Cena.  Rock said nobody else can say they walked into Wrestlemania and beat Hulk Hogan, beat Stone Cold, and beat John Cena.  Rock said on a personal level he just doesn't like Cena.  He said in 6 days he's going to not just beat Cena but give him "the ass kicking of a lifetime."  He said Cena knows it, Rock knows it, and the people know it too.

Cena said he's made a living being the guy "you can't see."  However, on Sunday he'll be the guy Rock can see with his hand raised high with the headline saying "John Cena whips the Rock's ass at Wrestlemania."  Cena dropped the mic and he and Rock got face to face to close out Raw.

Raw Preview 03/25/12

Tonight's Raw will mark the final episode of the show before the historic WrestleMania 28 Pay-Per-View!  Heading into the huge event, both John Cena and The Rock are gearing up for their epic clash.  On Monday night, the Raw SuperShow will be preceded by a special doscumentary on USA chronicling the two superstars.  What will they have in store one the live show arrives?

Also, things are getting personal between Chris Jericho and CM Punk.  Several weeks ago, Jericho made it a point to bring up Punk's father who had been a recovering alcoholic.  Last week, Y2J apologized for bringing that info up, but then launched in a new attack - bringing up Punk's sister!  Jericho condemned her as a drug addict with issues, and talked about how Punk will ultimately fall victim to abuse after Wrestlemania.  Will this drive Punk over the edge, or only inspire him to defeat Jericho at Wrestlemania 28?

Also, things have become more intense in the rivalry between Triple H and the Undertaker.  Just last week, the two Hell in a Cell match opponents met in the ring along with their special guest referee - Shawn Michaels.  During the segment, Undertaker made sure he let Triple H and the world know that he felt Shawn Michaels was better than him.  It appears the mind games are now in effect, but will these have the right effect on "The Game" for The Deadman?  Will Triple H have some mind games of his own in store, or will he purely bring his rage into the cell?

Don't miss the last episode of Raw ahead of the 2012 Wrestlemania 28 Pay-Per-View!  The Raw SuperShow airs Monday night at 9PM EST on USA!

Raw Results 03/19/12

Raw started with CM Punk coming to the ring to discuss how upset he was over Jericho bringing up his dad's alcoholism last week.  He said Jericho forgot the facts, that his dad's overcome alcoholism and he's proud of him for that.  Punk said he's proud of being straight edge and now Jericho's plan has backfired because it will bring the monster in Punk out at Wrestlemania 28.

Jericho appeared on the big screen in a suit, live via satellite.  He said he apologized for bringing up Punk's dad and won't do it again.  He brought up Punk's sister though and talked about her being a drug addict.  That got Punk enraged in the ring to the point he swore several times on the mic and vowed to beat the "s---" out of Jericho at Mania.

Kane defeated Big Show by pinfall.  Cody Rhodes came to the ringside area to go on commentary, but put on some boxing gloves to mock Show getting beat by Floyd Mayweather at Wrestlemania several years ago.  The close of the match saw Show distracted by Rhodes to the point Kane chokeslammed Show off the corner for the win.  Post-match, Rhodes hit the Beautiful Disaster Kick on Show in the ring and then cuffed him to the ropes.  He punched away on Show for a while until refs got involved and Rhodes eventually took off.

David Otunga defeated Santino Marella by pinfall in a non-title matchup.  The finish saw Laurinaitis and Long ringside in another argument after JL tried to slip a foreign object in the ring to Otunga.  The distraction allowed Otunga to nail Santino with his finisher.

They had a promo for a "new" Japanese wrestler named Lord Tensai who is coming soon.

They had a video segment featuring The Rock talking in front of the Rocky statue in Philly.  He showed a picture of himself as a young boy in front of the same statue and talked about how he promised he'd become the greatest wrestler ever then.  He brought up legends like Mick Foley Ric Flair, Randy Savage, and talked about how beating Cena will validate that The Rock is the greatest of all time.

Daniel Bryan defeated Zack Ryder by submission hold in about two minutes.  Late in the match, Ryder was on the comeback, hitting the Broski boot and then going for the Rough Ryder.  However, Bryan countered it into the Labelle Lock to get the win.  Post-match, he got a kiss on the cheek from AJ.

John Cena was reportedly in a minor car accident while driving around Philly.  Cole said Cena says he's fine to compete but a marketing rep with Cena says otherwise.

John Cena defeated Mark Henry by pinfall.  Late in the match Cena hit the AA on Henry after ducking a move from Henry.  Post-match, The Rock's music hit and he arrived out to the ring.  He grabbed Henry and hit the Rock Bottom, then stared at an exhausted and shocked Cena.  Rock stood there a bit before leaving, having sent Cena a message.

The Miz came out demanding an open challenge match so he could be a part of Team Laurinaitis.  However, he lost to Sheamus in the match after the Brogue Kick.  Backstage, they showed Laurinaitis shaking his head in disbelief about Miz's performance.

Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler defeated R-Truth and Kofi Kingston by pinfall, after Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Truth for the pin.  Vickie and Aksana fought outside the ring, requiring their respective wrestlers to hold them apart.

The main segment featured Shawn Michaels talking about how he's a big deal at Wrestlmania 28 as special ref in the Taker vs HHH match.  Both guys came out and got into it, with both vowing to end the other.  Taker reminded Michaels not to interfere in this and to keep it pure.  Taker also closed by telling HHH that Shawn Michaels is better than him.  That left HHH angry in the ring staring face to fae with Shawn Michaels.

Teddy Long tried to book Christian to compete in a match, but Laurinaitis said he's not medically cleared for action.  Long said instead Otunga can compete then, against the newest member of Team Long, Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston defeated David Otunga by pinfall.  Aksana, Santino and Christian were ringside while Teddy Long and John Laurinaitis were also on commentary for the match.  Late in the match, Teddy Long told the ref to toss Christian out from the ringside area.  Laurinaitis and Long got into an argument ringside, distracting the ref.  Otunga tried to use his belt as a weapon but Santino got on the apron and grabbed it from him.  Otunga punched Santino off the apron, but then got hit by Trouble in Paradise as he turned around.

They showed the Divas Locker Room door backstage, and then Daniel Bryan appeared in front of the door.  AJ shyly opened the door and stepped out wearing a slinky black dress, telling Bryan she didn't think it fit right.  Daniel told her to do a spin, then said it looked better on the mannequin.  He brought up how they're going to be the next WWE power couple like Macho Man/Elizabeth, or HHH/Stephanie.  He said he's got AJ a match next and if she win's she'll get a future divas title shot.  He said he'll be in her corner tonight to help her, just like in life.

AJ defeated Nikki Bella by pinfall.  Daniel Bryan was at ringside for AJ, while Brie was at ringside for Nikki.  Brie tried to do Twin Magic late in the match but Bryan told the ref they were trying to cheat.  However, the ref became distracted talking to Bryan and Brie yanked AJ down to the mat from the apron by her hair.  Nikki went for the win, but AJ countered into a hurricanrana for the pinfall.  Post-match, Bryan got in the ring and started jumping up on the corners raising his arms in victory over the win.

They showed the Raw Rebound with highlights from Rock's concert in Cleveland this past Monday on Raw.  They announced that The Rock's concert is available on iTunes right now.  Cole and Booker talked about who they thought was better in concert.  Cole announced Cena vs. Henry on Raw this Monday.

Cody Rhodes defeated Great Khali by pinfall.  Late in the match, Khali had control and went for the big chop near the ropes.  Rhodes avoided it and yanked Khali's neck against the top rope.  He got back in the ring with a springboard dropkick to take down Khali, then hit the Beautiful Disaster for the win.

Randy Orton came to the ring to demand that Kane explain himself and why he keeps coming after him.  Kane came out and reminded Orton of footage from last July when they competed in a Street Fight.  Orton won, and Kane got hurt.  Kane said the person who shook Orton's hand after that match ended is now gone, and he's been replaced by the monster Kane has always been.  Orton told him that was very enlightening, then taunted Kane to come to the ring and finish what he started.  Kane began walking down the ramp then stopped to tell Orton he wants his demise to happen at Wrestlemania.  Kane threw his hands up then down and let the pyro explode from the ringposts.

Big Show knocked out Drew McIntyre for the win.

Mark Henry defeated Yoshi Tatsu

Chris Jericho did another promo about CM Punk and alcoholism ahead of their Wrestlemania match.

Raw Results 03/12/12

John Cena started off the show delivering his diss rap lines towards the Rock for Wrestlemania 28.  One part was censored out when he called Rock "Miami Chicken Fried ----."  However, the crowd seemed to give Cena applause for his rap which included remarks about Lebron and Rock both heading to Miami, and about putting his nuts in Rock's face at Mania.

Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.  Daniel Bryan and AJ were watching from a skybox up in the arena, with Josh Matthews there to talk to Bryan.  In the match, Sheamus went for a big move at one point but dropped Ziggler by accident.  Ziggler hit a Rocker Dropper but Sheamus kicked out.  From there he connected on a Brogue Kick for the win.

Post-match, Henry and Otunga went to rough up Santino more, but Kofi Kingston charged down to try to save him.  Kofi got attacked though and hit by a World's Straongest Slam.  R-Truth rushed down to try to help, but got beat down as well.

James Roday of "Psych" on USA came out as guest announcer for the next match.

CM Punk defeated The Miz by submission.  Late in the match, Punk countered a corner move by Miz and put on his submission.  Miz tried to fight out but eventually tapped.  Post-match, Chris Jericho appeared on the big screen and talked about why Punk is straight edge.  He brought up Punk's father being an alcoholic and how he let CM Punk down every step of the way.  He taunted Punk saying he will take away his title, his sobriety and his bravado.  After the promo, Punk looked bothered by it as he got his championship belt.

Randy Orton defeated Jack Swagger by pinfall.  Orton hit a powerslam late in the match followed with his from the middle rope DDT.  He eventually hit the RKO in the center of the ring to win.  Post-match, Kane's pyro went off from the ringposts.  No sign of Kane though as a startled Orton kept surveying the area for him.

The Rock came to the ring to finish the show with a guitar in hand.  He played a song and had several comical lines about Cena being an Eminem wannabe, and about how Rock was going to be with Cena's mother tonight.  He also sang about Cena hooking up with Eve despite the fact Cena has a wife.  Rock got the crowd to do a "We will rock you...Cena Sucks" chant before the close of the show.  Rock vowed to go to Wrestlemania 28 and kick Cena's ass in the biggest match of all time.  Raw closed out with Rock posing in-ring.

Wrestlemania 28 Matches So Far

With Wrestlemania 28 just around the corner, it's time to examine the card of matches so far.  Everyone knows about the double main event, and it doesn't seem to include a major title match.  Instead, the focus is on John Cena vs. The Rock, and Triple H vs. Undertaker the sequel.

A look at the five Wrestlemania 28 matches on the card for April 1st:

- John Cena vs. The Rock
- The Undertaker vs. Triple H (Hell in a Cell Match with special referee Shawn Michaels)
- WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
- World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus
- Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show

Early predictions just looking at the card and going with gut instincts:  Cena, Taker, Jericho, Sheamus, Rhodes

However, it wouldn't be surprising if CM Punk managed to get the win.  It's tough to see Big Show winning the Intercontinental Championship at Mania, but you never know.

You have to figure a few more matches might get added in.  Maybe Zack Ryder vs. Santino for the US title? Or they add in Swagger and/or Ziggler to make it a Triple Threat or Fatal Fourway.

For the divas, everything's been pointing towards a showdown with Kharma challenging Beth Phoenix for the WWE Divas Championship.  Will that challenge happen in the next few weeks, or at the Wrestlemania event itself?

Another feud that's been going on has Randy Orton and Kane squaring off.  It seems these two are on a collision course for Mania as well.

And then there's the Teddy Long vs. John Laurinaitis fiasco.  Will they have a match at Mania, will it be a singles competition, or will they partner up with their buddies, Santino and Otunga?

The tag titles might be contested too.  Right now Kofi Kingston and R-Truth have been able to defeat Epico and Primo in non-title matchups.

Don't rule out WWE adding in some sort of crazy match with a celebrity involved too.  There had been rumors of Shaq getting involved, but at this time he's not on the card.  Still, he could always show up in a random segment during the event!

What other matches would you like to see added to the Wrestlemania 28 card?

Santino Marella is New US Champion

Congratulations are in order for the master of "The Cobra," Santino Marella, who captured the United States Championship for his first-time ever on Monday night.  Santino won a match against Jack Swagger which involved a lot of outer interference, arguing, pushing, shoving, and attempted cheating.  However, the good guy was able to overcome all of that and get the schoolboy pinfall on Jack Swagger, after escaping an Ankle Lock.

Santino previously held the Intercontinental twice, and tag team titles once (with Vladimir Kozlov).  Santino's first IC reign came thanks to the help of Bobby Lashley during an event in Italy, where Santino was a "random" fan picked from the crowd to compete against Umaga for the IC title.  Lashley helped him score the big pinfall to win it though.

The great part about this latest win for Santino was despite all the outer shenanigans, he didn't need Kofi Kingston to hit Trouble in Paradise on Swagger to give him the pinfall.  Santino won on his own, which was well deserved after the show he put on against Daniel Bryan in the Elimination Chamber.  It's nice to see someone's hard work rewarded, and it certainly beefs up Santino's resume.  It also makes you wonder who he's being set up for to take the title.

Maybe it'll lead to a match at Wrestlemania 28.  Will Zack Ryder get the match since he was never truly able to compete healthy in his rematch against Swagger?  Will Santino be on the main card, or in a dark match ahead of the official Pay-Per-View.  WWE would be wise to have him on the card since he has been really gaining more and more fan support as he goes.  Yes, at times he appears to be a comedy act, but his work in the Elimination Chamber was among the best of the event.  Kudos to Santino for getting rewarded for that effort with another singles title belt around his waist!

Raw Results 03/05/12

Raw Results from Boston, MA:

Shawn Michaels came out to start the show, making his way to the ring after pyro and slapping fans' hands.  He said things got heated between he and HHH weeks ago, but that's all water under the bridge now.  He wants to find out why HHH changed his mind about facing The Undertaker.  Triple H came out dressed in a business suit to respond.

Michaels talked about how he took shots that were below the belt at HHH to try to get him to face Taker again, but HHH didn't buckle.  He called Triple H a man of honor and integrity.  After the footage from last week was shown of Taker suggesting to HHH that maybe he thinks HBK is the better wrestler, HHH finally spoke in the ring.

He told Michaels he's sick of all the talk behind his back by Taker and others about how HBK wasn't good enough to end the streak.  He said Michaels is the greatest in-ring performer of all time and he doesn't like seeing him as a loser.  HBK sarcastically thanked him for all that, and said it hurt him to admit he couldn't get it done and then see HHH dominate Taker at Mania last year.  Michaels said this year at Hell in a Cell he knows who's going to win and he'll be right.  Michaels went to ring, before pausing and coming back to say he's the special guest referee for the match at WM28.

Santino Marella defeated Jack Swagger by pinfall to become the new United States champion.  Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler were at ringside.  John Laurinaitis and David Otunga arrived during the match.  Eventually, the man in charge tonight, Teddy Long, came out with Kofi Kingston and girlfriend Aksana.  They confronted Laurinaitis and Otunga as Raw went to break.  Late in the match, Santino had the Cobra sock on and used it to strike down Ziggler from the apron.  Vickie got on the other apron and Santino went for her, but she dropped off.  Aksana rushed over and shoved Vickie to the floor.  Swagger put the Ankle Lock on Santino, but Santino managed to flip him into the turnbuckle then did a schoolboy pinfall to win the match.

Post-match, Teddy Long and Laurinaitis argued about who's show it was.  Long called security out to escort JL and Otunga away from the arena.

They had a segment with The Rock outside near Boston harbor from earlier in the day.  He gave his first history lesson of the night about the Boston Tea Party and chucked various John Cena memorabilia, wristbands, cologne and other items into the water behind him.  He told someone to go clean up the Cena trash from the water.

Eve Torres defeated Alicia Fox by pinfall.  Eve scored a quick rollup and held Alicia's legs down to secure the win.  Kelly Kelly was at ringside on commentary with Cole and Lawler and stared down Eve post-match.

Zack Ryder showed up to cut a quick promo.  He walked out on the ramp with a cane and said he's glad he never hooked up with Eve, because Bro-ski's before Hoe-ski's.  Later backstage, Eve caught up with Zack and said she had something to say, then planted a passionate kiss on him.  Zack was shocked by it and smiled as Eve rushed off.

John Cena was shown sitting in the stands in the empty Boston arena before Raw.  He talked about how big his match with Dwayne Johnson will be at WM28.  He talked about how The Rock's the most successful superstar ever in the history of WWE.  He spoke about how he doesn't just intend to show up at Mania, but to win.  He said Boston is the "city of champions" and brought up the Patriots near undefeated season which was ruined by the Giants in the Superbowl.  Cena said nobody remembers 2nd place.  He also suggested that WM28 will break ever record in the history of WWE and no one will remember second place.  He said that's why he needs to win and why Mania is so important, because it's his legacy on the line.  Cena was shown staring up at the Wrestlemania 28 banner in the empty arena as the segment ended.

Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho defeated CM Punk and Sheamus by pinfall.  Late in the match, Punk hurt his back, but gained control against Bryan.  He hit the Macho Man elbow drop from the corner, but Bryan kicked out of the pinfall.  Things broke down late in the match, with Jericho and Punk winding up legal in the ring.  Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho, but Punk countered to a pinfall, but Jericho rolled through for the winning pinfall.  Jericho rushed out of the ring and picked up the WWE championship belt smiling at Punk in the ring.  He took the belt and shoved it under the ropes at a seated and dejected Punk.

The Rock gave history lesson #2 in front of a statue of Paul Revere, talking about Revere yelling "the British are coming."  He said what if it was this guy yelling and showed a cardboard standup cutout of Cena.  He talked about how much things would suck now if Cena was Revere.  Rock said he would have to travel back in time to kick Cena's ass.  Rock gave his own version of "Yankee Doodle" featuring how he stuck a feather up Cena's ass and called him a jabroni.

The Big Show defeated The Miz by pinfall.  Cody Rhodes arrived out before the match could start to show a highlight clip of Big Show from Wrestlemania X8.  He wasn't at the event, but instead at the WWE restaurant eating and riling up fans.  That only angered Show more, as he eventually speared Miz down and then hit him with the WMD for the win.  Rhodes sneered about the result as he stared down at the ring where Show held a fist up and pointed at the WM28 banner.

History lesson #3 from The Rock came outside the Massachussetts State House in front of the Boston Common.  He talked about the Americans fighting for their independence.  Rock said that spirit lives inside of him.  Rock said something else is going to be overthrown, when he overthrows John Cena at Wrestlemania 28 after 10 years of him being shoved in the fans' faces.

They announced that Shawn Michaels will appear to confront The Undertaker on next week's Raw in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kane defeated R-Truth by pinfall.  Truth made a comeback with an elbow from the corner and went for the scissors kick to finish Kane, but Kane avoided it.  Kane came back with the big chokeslam to win it.  Post-match, Kane made the pyro explode from the ringposts.  Suddenly, Randy Orton's music hit and The Viper stormed down the ramp.  Kane turned to leave the ring, but R-Truth grabbed his leg and held onto him.  Orton got in the ring and hit the RKO on Kane as Truth rolled out of the ring.  Orton got a mic and crouched down near Kane then said "It's good to be back," before leaving the ring.

John Cena arrived out to mixed reaction in his home arena of the TD Garden.  He looked at the camera and said it's the "home of Larry Bird, Wade Boggs, and John Cena, can you believe that?"

Cena talked about The Rock's history lessons likening them to infomercials, asking fans to decipher what Rock was really saying.  He said Rock keeps talking about his penis and how many women he's had sex with.  Cena asked if he's facing The Rock at Mania or "Jersey Shore" star The Situation.  Cena said after he came out to confront Rock last week, Rock seemed shaken up and couldn't find his words.

Cena talked about what he was wearing and how ridiculous he looks.  He said despite all that Rock was shaken by him.  He also said lately Rock's best stuff has been pre-recorded or by satellite.  Cena said he needs to know who he's facing at Mania, the man who talks about Chinese takeout for 20 mins, or the greatest superstar ever in the history of WWE.  Cena demanded "The Rock" to come out there because he doesn't want to see the alternative in the ring.

The Rock's music hit and out came Dwayne Johnson staring down towards Cena in the ring.  He got in the ring and paced around with a mic in hand keeping eye contact with Cena.  Rock said he sees fear in Cena's eyes that he's taking everything away from him from the past 10 years.  Rock said he sees right through him and questioned Cena if he really thinks he shook his confidence.  A "Boots 2 Asses" chant started up to pause Rock's speech.

A "Tooth Fairy" chant started up which allowed Cena to ask even though they're near Tewksbury Mass, he wanted to make sure they were chanting "Tooth Fairy."  Rock said at his core he's a man who will whoop his ass, and at Cena's core he'll always be a little boy that will go down in history as "The Rock's bitch."  Rock said what he had to say then left the ring, mic in hand.

Cena said Rock's height and weight don't intimidate him.  He said Rock's lost his damn mind if he thinks he's scared of him.  Cena said at Wrestlemania he's the son of a bitch who's going to make history by whooping Rock's ass.  Cena went to do a pose on the ring corner, then waved it off and dove under the ropes.  He rushed over the crowd barrier and jumped into a bunch of fans to celebrate, then took a drink from one of their beers before going back in the ring to pose more.

Cena went over to hug his dad, and kiss his wife, and introduce his brother-in-law on camera as Raw ended.

Raw Preview 03/05/12

The Road to Wrestlemania 28 continues with tonight's episode of Raw.  Last week saw John Cena and The Rock come face-to-face in the ring once again.  These two are headed towards a classic battle at WM28 in Miami, and the war of words is heating up.  Cena one again criticized Rock for leaving the fans, and promised to be victorious at Wrestlemania.  However, The Rock has promised to defeat Cena as well.  What will be next on the card for John Cena as he prepares for The Rock at Mania?

Also, The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels will make another visit to WWE Raw for tonight's SuperShow.  Michaels appeared in the ring weeks ago to try to convince his friend Triple H that he wanted to face The Undertaker again.  The Undertaker was able to use this to his advantage by baiting Triple H, suggesting that maybe HBK is better than him.  That was enough to make Triple H to challenge Undertaker to Hell in a Cell at Wrestlemania.  With Michaels returning to Raw what will he have to say to Hunter now?

Tonight's Raw SuperShow will also feature Smackdown GM Teddy Long running the show.  Teddy and Raw interim GM John Laurinaitis will trade shows with JL running Smackdown on Friday.  Both GM's believe they are the man who should be in charge of both shows, permanently.  As one of his first matches for the Raw show, Long has booked Laurinaitis' legal councilman, David Otunga, to take on Great Khali.  What else will Long have in store for tonight's episode?  Will Laurinaitis get involved?

Watch the latest episode of Raw SuperShow tonight at 9PM EST on USA!

Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.  Late in the match, Ziggler tried for a move off the corner, but Sheamus caught him and hit the side Irish Curse slam.  Sheamus had the pin, but Vickie rushed over and put Ziggler's leg on the ropes.  Sheamus hit several more moves for near falls.  Jack Swagger came down to jump on the apron but was punched off.  Ziggler hit Zig Zag for a near fall.  Moments later, Ziggler jumped on Sheamus' back to try a sleeper, but Sheamus turned it into his new finisher White Noise for the win.

Backstage, John Laurinaitis and David Otunga talked to Teddy Long about how he pushed JL down on Raw.  Otunga said the criminal charges might not be there but he may file civil charges.  Laurinaitis said he wanted an apology, but Long refused.  JL said he's running Smackdown next week.  Long booked Otunga vs. Great Khali.

Santino Marella defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  Slater had control late in the match as he climbed the corner.  Santino got up though and backed against the ropes causing Slater to crotch himself on the top turnbuckle.  Santino retrieved The Cobra puppet, put it on and clocked Slater with his big punch to finish him by pinfall.

They showed the video clip to go over highlights of Triple H vs. The Undertaker at WM27.  Various WWE stars and personalities weighed in with mini interviews including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Edge, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Big Show and John Cena.

Backstage, Eve was prettying herself up with a mirror when Natalya came in.  She said they haven't always seen eye to eye, but what Eve did to Zack was inexcusable.  Eve told her that while Zack may have been sweet and genuine, he really stinks.  Natalya let one rip and said "No Eve, that stinks" before smiling and leaving the scene.  Eve started holding her breath pretending she was choking as Cole said the two divas go at it next.

"Invincible" by MGK featuring Ester Dean is one of the official Wrestlemania 28 theme songs.

Eve defeated Natalya by pinfall.  Late in the match, the two divas brawled before trading pinfall attempts.  Eve finally secured Natalya's legs in a pinfall to get the win.

Big Show defeated Mark Henry by pinfall.  Cody Rhodes came to the ringside area and joined the commentary team for the match.  In the end, Henry hit World's Strongest Slam, but Show kicked out.  Show then landed the WMD punch for the pin.

Justin Gabriel defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.  Late in the match, Gabriel hit a spinning tornado DDT and then followed up with the 450 Splash to win it.  Post-match, Teddy Long got on the big screen saying it was time to let McIntyre go.  The crowd did the "hey hey hey Goodbye" chant.

Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton fought to a no contest.  Later in the match, Orton went for a DDT from the apron to the floor with Bryan.  All of a sudden, Kane's pyro and music hit bringing the Big Red Machine to the ring area.  HE started beating up Orton around the ring.  Otunga and Laurinaitis were shown watching backstage, talking about the brutality.  Kane got a mic and said "Welcome back, Randy, welcome back!"

Laurinaitis commented to Otunga backstage that maybe he'll book Kane vs. Teddy Long's girlfriend Aksana next week.

Santino Marella defeated Curt Hawkins by pinfall.  Tyler Reks was at ringside with Hawkins.  Late in the match, Hawkins had control, until Santino made a comeback, using his comedy routine of moves.  Hawkins hit a running forearm, but moments later Santino was able to get a surprise rollup pinfall for the win.

The majority of Superstars covered Wrestlemania 28 matches, as well as the Raw Rebound featuring The Rock and John Cena's latest confrontation.
